The Sovereign Of The Sunrise Kingdom

Chapter 5: I Just Can't Wait To Be King

Elsewhere at the Royal Kopje Of The Shining Sun, Scar is taking a walk on one of the rock ledges, and he is still very jealous and resentful of Mufasa being the current sovereign of the Sunrise Kingdom as well as his twin son and daughter Simba and Amani for being the royal heirs to the throne of the Royal Kopje, and he still believes the throne is rightfully his and should somehow reclaim it by having Simba and Amani being eaten by his faithful hyena henchmen in the Shadow Domain even though Simba and Amani are the true heirs of the throne.

Just as Scar taking his walk around the Royal Kopje and continues to feel very jealous and resentful towards his older brother Mufasa as the king and the twins Simba and Amani being heirs since they are his twin children and plots to have the twins assassinated so he could become the sovereign, suddenly spots a bone of the ground and he quickly kicks it off of the rock ledge, and the twins suddenly approached them on the ledge and warmly greeted him while he showed great contempt towards them, unbeknownst to them.

"Hey, Uncle Scar, guess what's gonna happen in the future sometime." said Simba.

"Oh, I despise guessing games so much." said Scar just as he scoffed in annoyance.

"I'm gonna be the sovereign of the Royal Kopje Of The Shining Sun one of these days," said Simba.

"It's so true, Uncle Scar. My twin brother is gonna be the king someday." said Amani.

"That is really amazing." said Scar sarcastically.

"Also, since I'm the heir to the throne, my twin sister Amani is second-in-line to the throne. " said Simba.

"I already know that, and congratulations for being the heirs to the throne, you two." said Scar.

"Our dad just showed us the whole kingdom already." said Simba just as he and Amani observe the view of the Serengeti Plains from the ledge together. "And I'm gonna rule it all." He then chuckled greedily.

Amani scoffed in annoyance. "Let's not be so greedy when you become the sovereign, Brother."

"What? I can't help it, Sis." said Simba just as he chuckled.

"Mmm-hmm. If you say so." said Amani.

"Actually, Simba and Amani, please forgive me for not leaping for complete joy," said Scar. "Having such a bad back, you know."

Scar then flopped down on the ground with his back turned on his young nephew and niece just as he continued lamenting on their current statuses as the royal heirs to the throne of the Sunrise Kingdom and showed deep hatred towards them very much, and the royal twins are completely unaware of how their uncle resents them so much due to being the heirs to the throne which ruined his chance of becoming the next sovereign of the kingdom. Simba and Amani both approached Scar and jumped on his mane just as they continued being very excited about being royalty.

"Hey, Uncle Scar, when I ascend the throne and become king, what will you become?" asked Simba.

"That's a good question. So, Uncle Scar, when Simba is the sovereign, what will that make you?" asked Amani.

"I would be the uncle of two little baboons, and one of the baboons is full of mischief and the other baboon would be a rough and tough tomboy." replied Scar.

Amani giggled just as she and Simba tumbles off of Scar together. "Sometimes, you can be very strange about some things."

"Yeah, you're so weird sometimes." said Simba just as he laughed.

"You two honestly have no idea," said Scar.

"Oh, and by the way, not only will Simba be ruling the kingdom someday, I will be helping him run the kingdom," said Amani. "Our daddy also says that it is the job of the siblings of the heir apparent to the throne to help them out with some things when in need. Just like Aunt Zahara would help him out."

"Of course Zahara would do that, and she doesn't really mind that kind of thing either." said Scar. He then gets up and walks away on the ledge. "So, your father showed you two the whole Sunrise Kingdom, did he?"

"Yeah, he did," said Amani just as she and Simba approached Scar again.

"Did he show you the Serengeti Plains, the Arusha Hills, the Ngorongoro Valley, the Tarangire Grove, and Mount Kilimanjaro?"

"Yeah, our dad showed us everything." said Simba.

"But didn't he show what's beyond the northern border of the kingdom? " asked Scar.

"Actually, no he didn't." said Simba.

"He said we're not allowed to go there at all. Ever." said Amani.

"And he's absolutely right. That place is the Shadow Domain, and it's really dangerous." said Scar. "Only the bravest male lions and the bravest lionesses of the Sunrise Pride would go there."

"Well, I'm brave enough to go to the Shadow Domain," said Simba.

"Anybody can be brave in their own way. Especially our daddy since he's one of the greatest sovereigns ever. What's out in the... " said Amani, but Scar suddenly interrupted her.

"I'm so sorry, Simba and Amani, I just can't tell you that it's out there in that terrible place." said Scar.

"Why not?" asked Simba just as he and Amani sat right in front of Scar.

"Simba, Amani, I'm just looking out for the well-being of my favorite nephew and my favorite niece." said Scar just as he gently rubbed Simba's head and gently rubbed Amani's head.

"Actually, I'm your only nephew," said Simba.

"And Wepesi and I are your only nieces." said Amani.

"Wepesi is our cousin and she's Aunt Zahara and Uncle Ushindi's daughter." said Simba.

"Yes, that's true, and just like Zahara and Ushindi are protective over Wepesi and your parents Mufasa and Sarabi are protective over you two, I am protective as well." said Scar. "Besides, an Elephant Graveyard in the Shadow Domain is no place for a young prince and princess." He suddenly gasps in fake horror. "Oops! My bad!"

"An Elephant what? Whoa, that kind of place sounds awesome." said Simba.

"Just imagine if we visit a very interesting place just like an Elephant Graveyard," said Amani.

"Oh, dear, I ended up saying too much already." said Scar just as he faked dismay. "I guess you two have found out about the Elephant Graveyard sooner and later, and you are so clever, Simba, and you are so confident, Amani." Simba attempts to sneak off along with Amani, but Scar quickly grabs them and pulls them closer to them. "Please promise me to never visit that dreadful place which is one of the most dreadful places in the Shadow Domain."

Simba thinks it over for a moment. "No problem, Uncle Scar. Amani and I won't tell anybody." Amani nodded her head in agreement.

"There's a good lad and a good lass," said Scar. He then nudged both Simba and Amani and they began leaving. "You two run along now and have some fun together, you two." The twins stopped at the midst of the rock ledge and smiled at him. "And remember, it's our little secret."

Simba and Amani then leave the rock ledge together, and just as they leave, Scar looks back at them with a very sadistic smile just as he already knows that the twins' curiosity about the Elephant Graveyard would eventually lead them going there anyway, and he has already laid a trap for his young nephew and niece in the Elephant Graveyard which are his three hyena henchmen Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed who will assassinate them under his orders by eating them so he could be able to seize the throne.

Later on that day at the Royal Kopje Of The Shining Sun, the royal twins Simba and Amani arrives at one of the areas where the male lions and lionesses of the Sunrise Pride would take breaks from hunting for food supply for the pride and going on patrolling around the kingdom to keep out intruders such as the hyenas, and they both warmly greet two of their best friends Nala who is being bathed by her mother Sarafina and Tojo who is also being bathed by his father Ipyana while their mother Sarabi is snoozing on a rock for a moment until she wakes up and smiled at her son and daughter.

"Hey, Nala." Simba greeted.

"Hi, Simba." Nala greeted.

"Hey, Tojo." Amani greeted.

"Hello, Amani." Tojo greeted.

"C'mon, guys, there's a great place we just heard about, and we should all see it right now." whispered Simba.

"Yeah, and Chumvi, Kula, Malka, and Tama should see it as well." whispered Amani.

"Simba, Amani, my mom is giving me a bath," said Nala.

"And my dad is giving me a bath too. So it's gonna have to wait for a moment." said Tojo.

"Speaking of bath time, it's time for your own baths," said Sarabi.

Simba attempts to escape, but Sarabi quickly picks him up in his mouth, puts him in her paws, and proceeds to give him a bath. "Mom! Cut it out!" He still attempts to escape, but Sarabi prevents him from doing so and continues giving him a bath, much to his embarrassment and annoyance. "Mom, you're messing up my mane, knock it off!" Sarabi continues giving him a bath for a moment, and then she gets finished with bathing him just as she gave her son a very affectionate and loving smile.

"There you go, Simba. You're all clean." said Sarabi just as she warmly nuzzles Simba and gently puts him back down on the ground with her mouth. "Amani, it's your turn to take a bath. Come here." She picked up Amani with her mouth, put her in her paws, and began bathing her. Unlike her twin brother Simba, she honestly enjoys having baths and she didn't even complain about it at all. "It looks like you love baths so much."

"Yeah, I do, Mom." said Amani. "Even though I enjoy getting myself dirty most of the time, that doesn't mean I shouldn't enjoy having myself clean and don't mind getting cleaned up at all."

"Well, your brother Simba doesn't enjoy having baths, but he has to take care of his personal hygiene anyway." said Sarabi. She continues to give Amani a bath for a moment, and then she gets finished with doing so." "There you go, Amani, all clean." She warmly nuzzles Amani and puts Amani back down on the ground just as he lovingly smiles at her.

"Thanks, Mom," said Amani.

"Yeah, Mom, thank you." said Simba. "We're all clean. Can we go now please?"

"So, where are we going? It better not be anyplace stupid just like last time." said Nala.

"Don't worry, it's not gonna be so stupid. It's actually so cool." said Simba.

"So, where is this cool place anyway?" asked Sarabi.

"Uh...Um...It's at the water hole in the Serengeti Plains,"said Amani.

"The water hole? What's so great about that? You can only have some drinks with the other animals there." saidTojo.

"My sister and I will show you as well as Chumvi, Kula, Malka, and Tama when we get there." whispered Simba.

"Oh, Tojo and I see where this is going, and the others will see it too." whispered Nala while Tojo nodded his head in agreement. She then turns to her mother Sarafina who gets finished with giving her a bath. "Mom, can I go with Simba and Amani?"

Tojo turns to his father Ipyana who also gets finished with giving him a bath. "Hey, Dad, is it alright can I go with them as well?"

"What do you think, Sarabi?" asked Sarafina.

"Is it alright if they can go together?" asked Ipyana.

"Well...actually..." said Sarabi just as she began thinking it over.

"Please? Can we?" asked Simba, Amani, Nala, and Tojo.

"It's alright with me. You children can go to the water hole." said Sarabi. Simba, Amani, Nala, and Tojo began cheering with joy just as they began leaving. "As long as Zazu goes along with you." The twins and their best friends suddenly stopped cheering with joy and became filled with annoyance upon what she informed them.

"No, not Zazu!" said Simba.

"You've got to be kidding!" said Amani.

Later, after getting permission from their mother Sarabi to go to the water hole in the savannah within the Serengeti Plains, Simba and Amani travel throughout the Royal Kopje Of The Shining Sun along with their two best friends Nala and Tojo as well as one of the members of the Royal Advisory Council Of The Sunrise Kingdom Zazu who is assigned on watching over them, and soon they all arrive at another area where the members of the Sunrise Pride would hang out together and they gather Chumvi who is bonding with his father Andwele and Kula who is spending some time with her mother Dabiku, and they agree to go along with them. Next, they went to another area of the Royal Kopje where the members of the pride would spend time with each other and they gather Malka who is spending some time with his father Faraji and Tama who is bonding with her mother Radhi, and they agree to go along with them as well.

The royal twins Simba and Amani and their best friends Nala, Tojo, Kula, Chumvi, Tama, and Malka then leave the Royal Kopje along with the royal advisor Zazu who will be watching over them under Sarabi's orders. Also, just as they are, Simba and Amani inform Nala, Tojo, Kula, Chumvi, Tama, and Malka that they are actually heading to the Elephant Graveyard, much to their friends' own amazement, and they also inform them on how they will manage to lose Zazu. While the young lion cubs are having their conversation with each other, Zazu suddenly notices them and thinks each of them are having romantic moments with each other, and he decides to praise them for having romantic feelings for each other just as he approached them.

"Oh, just look at you all being together." said Zazu. "Your friendships are quickly turning into romances just like new flowers are blossoming in the savannah of the Kitulo Meadows. Each of your parents will be very delighted, especially since you're all betrothed."

"Wait a minute. What do you mean by that, Zazu?" asked Simba in confusion.

"You know, being betrothed to each other. Intended to each other. Affianced to each other. Being engaged." explained Zazu.

"So, what does that supposed to mean anyway?" asked Nala.

"It means that you two, Simba and Nala, will be married someday." said Zazu while Simba and Nala had very disgusted expressions over the idea of marriage. "And Amani and Tojo will be married someday since you're betrothed as well." Amani and Tojo had disgusted expressions over the marriage idea as well. "Also, maybe Chumvi and Kula will be married, and maybe Malka and Tama will be married sometime in the future too." Chumvi and Kula reacted in complete disgust and Malka and Tama reacted in disgust as well.

"Nala and I can't get married someday. She's one of my best friends ever." said Simba.

"Yeah, and we've always been best friends. It would be too weird if we became a married couple." said Nala.

"Tojo and I are just best friends, and we would rather be best friends rather than getting married," said Amani.

"Even when we all grow up together, and we'll always be best friends no matter what, we're not really interested in the whole marriage thing anyway." said Tojo.

"The same thing goes for me and Tama. We would rather be best friends than ending up in a marriage together." said Malka.

"Same thing for me and Chumvi. We're just best friends, and we'll always be." said Kula.

"Also, we really don't understand this whole betrothal thing for the royal family anyway, Zazu,"said Amani.

"Well, the betrothals have been going on for the children of the sovereign ever since the kingdom was founded by King Jua and his wife Queen Mwezi." replied Zazu. Unbeknownst to him, Simba begins quietly mocking how he talks while the others begin quietly laughing. "It is one of the traditions of the royal family while the members of the pride would carry out mating season, and I am so sorry, but you lion cubs have no choice."

"Well, when I become the sovereign someday, the whole traditions of the members of the royal family being betrothed to others will be the first thing to go," said Simba.

"Not as long as the other royal advisors and I are around to make that law official." said Zazu.

"In that case, you are officially fired from your job," said Simba.

"Nice try, but only the sovereign can do that," said Zazu.

"But he's the future sovereign," said Chumvi.

"And that means you have to do what he tells you to do," said Tama.

"Not yet I don't. " said Zazu.

"But someday you will." said Amani.

"Honestly, since Simba has an attitude like that, he could somehow turn out to be such a pathetic king indeed," said Zazu.

"Not the way I see it, and one of these days, I will become a mighty sovereign." said Simba. "Just like Queen Tumaini, King Hekima, King Mohatu, Queen Uru, and most of all, my and Amani's dad King Mufasa who is one of the greatest sovereigns ever."

Simba then boasting all about his status as the crown prince of the Sunrise Kingdom and how he is very excited to become a great king someday when he ascends the throne, and his younger twin sister Amani cheered for him just as she strongly supports his status as the heir to the throne and how she is very excited that she will be helping him out with running the kingdom since she's currently second-in-line to the throne and the royal twins' best friends Nala, Tojo, Chumvi, Kula, Malka, and Tama cheered for him as the heir to the throne as well, much to Zazu's complete annoyance and contempt.

Also, Simba praising himself as the future king while having Amani and their best friends praising him as the crown prince and the heir to the throne of the Sunrise Kingdom, it is the plan for all of them in order to lose Zazu so they will be able to go to the Elephant Graveyard without even being noticed by him, and the other animals who live in the Serengeti Plains began praising him as the heir to the throne as well, much to the twins' and their friends' delight and much to Zazu's disapproval since of how Simba is acting very rambunctious and mischievous while he is very outgoing and lively.

The group of best friends began traveling throughout the savannah of the Serengeti Plains together and Zazu began following them in annoyance, and during the travel, Simba wore a mane made out of red on a rock leaves while his sister and their friends as well as a flock of bee-eaters cheered for him as the future king, he wore a leaf crown on another rock just as he did an arrogant pose while his twin sister and their best friends as well as a group of cheetahs cheered for him, and he began practicing on his roar on another rock arrogantly while the others as well as a herd of gazelles cheered for him. While he was practicing on his roaring, Simba accidentally roared right in front of Zazu who managed to catch up to him and the others, and it caused him to fall into a nearby sparkling river.

In the river, Zazu quickly dries himself off with some leaves, and he suddenly spots the royal twins and their friends continue traveling throughout the savannah together and Amani, and the young cubs quickly spot Zazu and they begin teasing him in complete delight while he attempted to tell them that they are all being so foolish, but they didn't listen to him at all and continued travelling throughout the savannah together while Simba can't wait to be king someday. Also, the cubs hopped on the backs on some hippos in the river while Zazu kept following him, and the hippos praised Simba's status as the future sovereign while a flock of flamingos who are flying over the sparkling river also praised Simba being the rightful heir to the throne.

Soon, the cubs greet a group of ostriches and kindly ask them to give them rides which they kindly agree to do, and they begin riding on the ostriches' backs throughout the savannah. While they did so, the ostriches praised Simba for being the rightful heir and will be ascending the throne someday, and Zazu manages to catch up to them again and attempts to talk some sense into them, but he ends up bumping into a rump of a rhino while the cubs witnessed what just happened and laughed with joy just as they continued traveling throughout the savannah on the ostriches. Zazu then quickly gets off of the rhino's rear and continues following them in order to convince them to stop their foolishness as well as Simba being so boastful about his status as the crown prince of the Sunrise Kingdom and will be ascending the throne someday.

Just as the travel continues, Simba, Amani, Nala, Tojo, Chumvi, Kula, Malka, and Tama walked through a herd of zebras who bowed to Simba as their future king and turned their rears to Zazu who covered himself in disgust, walked along with a herd of elephants who gently sprayed some drizzles of water above them and roughly sprayed on some water on Zazu who ends up getting blasted up in the air, ate some bananas with a troop of baboons who had a royal banquet with the heir to the throne as well as his sister and their best friends in an acacia tree and threw some bananas at Zazu who attempted to dodge them, floated on the backs on a float of crocodiles in another river and the crocodiles attempted to catch Zazu in their mouths while he dodged them, and walked with a herd of giraffes who necked each other.

Also, the cubs joyfully climbed on some of the giraffes, went up and down on each of their really long necks, and slid down on their necks while Simba continued boasting about being the future sovereign of the Sunrise Kingdom and his sister Amani and their best friends Nala, Tojo, Chumvi, Kula, Malka, and Tama continued cheering for him as the rightful heir to the throne, and the giraffes cheered for him as well. Zazu catches up with the cubs again and attempts to get Simba to stop acting so boastful about being the future king of the kingdom as well as the others acting so foolish with them, but they still don't listen to them and he ends up getting crowded by some of the giraffes.

Soon, just as the travel continues and Simba continues to boast about his current status as the future sovereign while Amani, their best friends, and everybody who lives in the Serengeti Plains continue to cheer for him for will be the sovereign someday, Simba, Amani, and their best friends suddenly gets an idea, and Simba whispers into one of the giraffes' ear, the giraffe whispers to a hippo's ear, the hippo whispers to a baboon's ear, the baboon whispers to a flamingo's ear, the flamingo whispers to a zebra's ear, the zebra whispers to a crocodile, and the crocodile whispers to a cheetah. Zazu continues to pursue the cubs just as he attempts to talk some sense into them, but he suddenly gets grabbed by some vervet monkeys who begin tossing him around together, much to his annoyance.

Suddenly, all of the animals who live in the Serengeti Plains began gathering around together just as they all continue praising Simba for being the future king of the Sunrise Kingdom, and the giraffes lift Simba, Amani, Nala, and Tojo with their heads and throw them up in the air and the elephants lift Chumvi, Kula, Malka, and Tama with their trunks and throw them up in the air as well. The vervet monkeys continue tossing up Zazu in the air for a moment, and then they begin grooming him for lice together. The inhabitants of the Serengeti Plains continue gathering together and then they all form a very large tower while they continued praising Simba as the rightful heir to the throne, and Simba and Nala are on an ostrich's back on the top of the tower while Amani and Tojo are dancing with the hippos, Chumvi and Kula are dancing with the gazelles, and Malka and Tama danced with the crocodiles.

Simba really can't wait to become king of the Sunrise Kingdom someday when he ascends the throne and he really hopes that he will be such a great sovereign just like his and Amani's grandmother Queen Uru, their great-grandfather King Mohatu, their great-great grandfather King Hekima, their great-great-great grandmother Queen Tumaini, and most of all, their father King Mufasa, and Amani kept cheering for her older twin brother Simba for being the future king and strongly supports him being the heir to the throne and the twins' best friends Nala, Tojo, Chumvi, Kula, Malka, and Tama kept cheering for Simba as the future sovereign of the Sunrise Kingdom and they strongly supports his current status just like all the inhabitants of the kingdom does.

The vervet monkeys continue to groom Zazu for insects until they get finished, and Zazu suddenly got free from the vervet monkeys and quickly flew to the animal tower just as he still attempts to get Simba to stop acting so boastful towards his status as the future sovereign and Amani and their best friends to stop acting so foolish as well, but they still don't listen to him. Suddenly, all of the animals lost their balance and began toppling over each other while Zazu ended up getting flattened by a rhino from under her rear.

The animals then fall from the tower while Simba, Amani, Nala, Tojo, Chumvi, Kula, Malka, and Tama quickly managed to escape from the collapsing animal tower just in time and they manage to lose Zazu just like they planned on, and they continue traveling throughout the savannah just as they begin heading towards the Elephant Graveyard together in complete joy and excitement. Just as they are, Zazu is still crushed under the rhino's rump and began asking her to get off of him, but she didn't listen to her, and he began attempting to crawl out from under her rump in complete annoyance.
