CHAPTER 344
The pteranodon circled Seth, and he continued towards it. When they were within striking distance of each other the pterosaur took a snap at him and grazed his shoulder. Seth flinched, but he stood his ground. The animal took another snap, and this time Seth struck it across the beak with a solid swing of the butt of the pistol.
The pterosaur backed away, looking stunned. It shook its head and clicked its beak. After it had rattled away the blow it took another snap. Seth dodged to the side and struck it in the beak again. The pterosaur became angry. Shrieking, it flapped into the air a few feet and thrust itself at Seth.
Seth fell to the ground as he was speared in the chest by the pteranodon's beak. It's wings flapped around him and kicked up dirt at his eyes. The pterosaur thrust its feet at Seth and tried to pin him, but Seth kicked upward into its stomach. When the pterosaur fluttered backwards Seth kicked it again and then stood. He grappled with the animal's forelimbs for a matter of moments, and it threw him back, but as the pteranodon came forward with a snap again Seth dodged forward and cracked its skull.
The creature stumbled and stooped. It's eyes winced, and it shook its head. The pterosaur's body hung low to the ground, and it struggled to upright itself. Seth wasted not one moment. Raising the butt of the pistol he bludgeoned the pterosaur's skull many more times. As the pteranodon collapsed, blood showered upwards, splattering across Seth's face, and he continued to bash at its skull.
Seth's face, chest, and arms were drenched before he stopped. In that moment he had let out all his rage and frustrations. His face was twisted. His eyes were tearing up. He was breathing heavily. Seth had dropped to his knees without even knowing it, and he was crouched over the pterosaur like a wild, hungry, meat eating animal. He was a beast.
