Chapter 7: The meeting red edition

Drip* I awoke to the sounds of water falling from what sounds like a cave. Opening my eyes, I saw a dark, but not pitch back, cave wall that stretched till I couldn't see anymore infront of me. Confused as I distinctly remember being at Beacon before, I looked around and found no other path to my sides and back. Deciding my only option was forward, I stood up and got my bearings before I pressed onward to wherever I ended up.

After walking for what felt like hours, the cave started to widen slightly. Deciding that maybe there actually was a way out, I started to make a sprint for it. But it proved futile after fifteen minutes of sprinting at top speed hadn't gotten me much further than if I had walked. Just as I decided to go back to walking, I heard a finger snap as the whole cave changed, and It suddenly opened up to a large room with nothing in it but shadows. "Hey Kiddo, long time no chat," a voice shot out of the darkness as I turned around to face it quickly.

Startled at seeing what appeared to be a shadow tinted red at the seams with yellow glowing eyes. "Who, no, what are you and where am I?" I asked the being. "What, no hello, just straight to business, sheesh, that's kinda harsh," He said in a sarcastic and cocky tone, one that sounds vaguely similar to my own. "Well, excuse me for not particularly wanting to make small talk with a stranger," I replied, kinda annoyed. "Heh, you got fire kid I'll give you that, but as for the what and whom, Im mearly a shadow of a warrior, and for the name well you havent earned it quite yet kiddo but you can call me Tony," The being said with boredom dripping from his voice. "Fine then, Tony, now where the hell are we?" I asked, trying to see around for a hallway or some door out.

"Havent I already told you this before, kiddo, we're in your mind," said being now referred to as Tony, a little more confused as to why I would ask that. "What do you mean? Im pretty sure we've never met, im pretty sure I'd remember a shadow in my mind or even just being in my mind before!" I let out loudly at the end confused.

"Hmm, that's interesting, regardless, I brought you here to warn you to be wary of that girl you saw before you came here, the white-haired one," he said looking serious for the first time sense I got here. "Why would I need to be cautious around her?" I asked, wondering what all of this was about. "She's like you, kiddo, is all I can say. She's got the same potential as you but a less than benevolent being inside her," he said. "Why should I take your word for it, I dont even know your real name, let alone what you are and if I can trust you?" I said untrusting of this creature. "Trust me or not, I was just doing you a favor," he said, looking unamused at my distrust of him. "And before you go kiddo, one last warning, you're whole world is about to change, regardless of whether you can trust that white haired girl or not even I dont know but you'll need her if you want to survive what may come, now, wake up!"
