The shattered moon shone bright in the sky shining over Vale. It saw everything that happened. The good... and the bad. Two Faunus children sat huddled on the floor as the men walked towards them. "Hey Cedric." The first guy said trying to intimidate the children. "How much do you think we could get for these animals?"

"I don't know Nick." Cedric said.

"I'd say five to ten." A voice that sounded both mature and childish said. "That's if I don't kill you first."

"Who are you?" Cedric asked the Shadows.

"I was not born of the shadows." A shadowy voice called out from the shadows.

"You may call me Jason." The voice said. "Jason Todd."

"I was adopted by them."

"Jason Todd?" Nick asked. "As in the Jason Todd that runs Todd Import Export, Todd Enterprise, and Todd Tech?"

"Raised by them."

"The very same." A boy of around 12 walked out of the shadows to reveal that he was wearing battle gear. He wore black boots with charcoal grey pants with knee pads going from his shins to over his knees with spikes on the ends. He had a breastplate with a splash of red in the center and a torn up white hoodie over that. On his back he had twin Katanas poking out behind his shoulders. On his left hip he had a Kodachi while in his right hip he had a Wakizashi. Had they been able to see his back they would have seen two Tanto Daggers sitting horizontally on his belt.

"The shadows raised me."

"Oh shit!" Nick said running in the opposite direction, only to run into Jason, but Jason was standing over there. He looked back to see that there were two Jason's.

"Trained me." The Jason in front of Nick Said.

Cedric ran away as fast as he could, but to no avail. A third Jason appeared.

"Taught me." The Jason in front of Cedric said.

"Going somewhere... I was going to say Gentlemen, but you aren't Gentle, and you aren't men. You're mon... well I was going to call you Monster's, but that's an insult to the Grimm. What are you?"

"In short." The two Jason's said in unison.

"Let us leave!" Nick said. "We won't do it again!"

"I am one with the shadows."

"What's wrong? You think that it's okay to attack the weak and helpless, but when you're weak and helpless you want the mercy, you deny them?!"

"And the shadows are with me."

"WE WON'T DO IT AGAIN!" Nick and Cedric shouted in unison.

"By shadows I was trained."

"You're right." Jason said. "You won't do this again. Because I'm going to kill you. Leave a message about what happens to those who hurt the innocent."

"And so, by the shadows you must die."

"No. NO! HELP US!" They shouted, desperately trying to find someone who could help.

The Jason's moved and Nick and Cedric were cut into thirds before the three Jason's became one and clapped their hands against each other to get off any 'dust' before walking over to the Faunus children. "Are you both okay?" He asked in a calm even tone.

The girl, a Squirrel Faunus, looked up into the crystal blue eyes of the boy who had saved them. "Y-y-you killed them."

"I did, but there is nothing I can do about it now."

"Thank you."

"You're welcome. Let me get you and your brother somewhere safe."

"He's not my brother. We just found each other out here and have been taking care of each other."

"Believe me. You two share a bond that is stronger than any familial bond."

The Faunus girl looked into her rescuers eye's and she knew he was telling the truth. "Do you really mean it?"

"Yes."

"I'm Celine, and this is Dijon." She pointed at the boy with chipmunk ears.

"Nice to meet you both. Now, let's get you two somewhere safe."

The trio walked to a large house. "The ladies inside will help you find someone who will truly love you and keep you two together."

"Thank you, but you never told us your name." Celine said.

"Most people on the streets know me as Red..." Jason said pulling a helmet out from behind his back and put it on.

"Wait. Like the one that we've heard rumors on?"

"Yes. My street name is Red..."

"But?"

"But you can call me Jason." Jason said, running away into the night.

Celine and Dijon walked up to the house. There was a sign at the front of the walkway. It said... Welcome to Koa Maru Orphanage.
