A hand was to Captain Ginyu's cheek, his eyes wide as he looked at the little pipsqueak standing before him. Gohan had just landed a blow. A punch, right in the face, and he'd done it so fast. For a moment confusion and worry welted in the Captain's gut, but he pushed that away as he focused in on the boy. "I underestimated you," He said.

"Leave us alone," Gohan shot. Even though he couldn't see her, he could feel Roxena's terrified eyes on his backside. She was especially innocent in all of this, and the young saiyan would do anything to protect her from being executed like the rest of the slave girls. "This is your last warning, sir!"

"Ha!" Captain Ginyu threw his head back. "You? Warn me? Don't get so full of yourself. You got a lucky strike when I had my guard down. Won't happen again now that I know what I'm dealin' with!"

That was when Captain Ginyu threw a ki blast. Gohan jumped to avoid it, the energy flying into one of the pods behind. Roxena's scream rang out, but it wasn't pained enough to indicate that she'd been hit. She was only scared. Regardless, that cry was enough to set Gohan off, and he flew straight for the captain.

"Ah!" The captain actually yelled, his head spinning as the boy kicked him with all his might. Before he had a chance to regain his bearings, he was flying through the air. And his body slammed hard against the concrete wall on the far side of the deck, all wind being forced from his body.

"I warned you!" Gohan shouted. And then there was a bright flash, with the captain shielding his face as he squinted through it. Suddenly the child's hair had ignited, completely changing color, and his demeanor was so much more aggressive that it was as if he'd gained a head in height. The Captain watched as the numbers on his scouter began to race, rising to levels he'd never seen. Before it had a chance to reach its final count, the scouter let out a low groan, and then ignited into flames.

"Fucking shit!" The captain spat, pulling it off as it singed his eye. He threw the overheated scouter down, stomping on it to put the fire out.

Gohan watched it all, the fury in his face unrelenting. "Final warning!" The boy spat. "Leave us alone! NOW! "

Fear fluttered across Captain Ginyu's eyes, but he quickly blinked it back. He cleared his throat, a smirk spreading across his face. "Kid, you've got balls."

"Huh?" Gohan dropped his defenses a little, completely taken aback by this.

"Taking me, the captain of the Ginyu Force, on all alone. Didn't realize the kind of power you were packing. You look so unsuspecting, which could work wonders out in combat."

"What?" The boy dropped his fists. "Are you talking about?"

"Come on, kid. Join us. Recently several openings on my team opened up, and you make a pretty damned good candidate. What do you say? Being a member of the most reputable force in the universe?"

"Is this a joke?" Gohan scowled. "Or are you being serious?"

" Ha! Ya got a sense of humor, too! Right on, kiddo!" Captain Ginyu grinned. "Come on, now. Whatdya say?"

"I…" Gohan balked. "I… What?! I would never! You hurt so many innocent people!"

"Hmph." The sting of rejection was not something the captain took lightly. The smile dropped from his face, his eyes narrowing as he looked down at the boy. "Who wouldn't want to join my force? Last chance. You sure about that?"

"Yes, I'm sure!" Gohan glanced back at the pods, hoping Roxena was still doing okay. "Now leave us alone! Right now! "

"No can do." The Captain growled. And then he jumped for the child, aiming a kick to the boy's ribs. Gohan blurred away, only to reappear behind Captain Ginyu. He slammed his elbow into the back of his head, making him cough out. His balance lost, the captain sloppily turned to shoot at the boy, but he was gone again.

SNAP!

Captain Ginyu screamed. He actually let out a scream. The bone in his left leg bent through the skin with the latest blow. It was now broken, but the captain didn't have any time to recover before the world around him was spinning, and he went flying into the hard ground below.

He couldn't even figure out what that latest hit was. All the Captain knew was that pain was radiating through his body, and he couldn't move his fingers. And he wondered if his back was broken, howling a slurred scream.

Captain Ginyu heard the thud of Gohan's feet landing beside his head. And his eyes were wide as he looked up at boy, who was returning the gaze.

"Don't make me do anything else!" Gohan was yelling. "Leave us!"

And that was all it took. The Captain grinned as his eyes turned red. A disgruntled laugh echoed in the back of his throat.

"Ngh-!" A heat erupted inside. Gohan couldn't tear his eyes away from the captain when he attempted to blink, and his body felt like he was being pulled in all directions. The boy attempted to move his foot, but his feet were pressing into the ground, and he couldn't break free of the pressure.

The captain screamed victoriously, and that was the last thing Gohan registered before his mouth forced itself open, wider than it ever had, and he felt the wind being sucked from his lungs. The room spun, the captain's laughter in his ears. He wasn't just surrounded by blurring colors, but he was a part of them. Inexplicably floating - pulling - jerking forward, the yell never leaving his lips no matter how hard he tried.

And then, all of the horrible sensations abruptly ended. And Gohan let out an agonized scream, pan radiating through every pore in his body. He looked down to his leg, which was throbbing worse than he'd ever felt before. And he gasped.

That wasn't his leg.

Roxena covered her ears at the horrible sounds echoing through the room. What was happening?! She bit her lip at the screams, and even the laughter made her flinch.

It was so deranged, so twisted with utter joyful malice, and it was so unlike the Gohan she had started getting to know in the last hour.

But he must be okay! Why else would he be laughing?! Terrified, she clutched the side of the pod and peeked out from around it.

Gohan's figure stood about the writhing Captain, his head thrown back at he roared. Hands on his hips. Trembling, the captain let out a pained choke, but Gohan merely kicked him in the face and stepped back. "Body changing!" He jeered, throwing a fist in the air.

Gohan then kicked his leg to the side, slowly and observantly, as if he was testing it out. "Not bad!"

" Body changing ?" Roxena whispered. Though it was clear that Gohan had won this fight, all reflexes were telling her not to reveal herself. Not to move, to go to him, to ask if he was alright. There was something horribly foreboding radiating from the adolescent's body, and she scooted back trepidatiously.

"It'll take some time getting used to, but that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make." Gohan was saying now.

And then it clicked. Roxena covered her mouth in horror, tears flying to her eyes. The Captain was no longer the Captain. He was Gohan! Body changing had been literal - he'd somehow stolen Gohan's body!

The "Captain" yowled when the boot slammed down on his face, breaking his nose with a loud crack.

"Have fun dying! If you think about it, you just killed yourself!" The fake 'Gohan' spat. "Time to go find Vegeta and take care of him."

And then he was gone, leaving the body to spasm and twitch on the floor, in the puddle of blood of which he lay. Roxena's jaw tightened as she waited for the sounds of the footsteps to disappear. And then, tears streaming down her face, she went running for him.

"Gohan!" She breathed, dropping to her knees in front of the captain's body. Blood was rapidly flowing from the nose, his arms convulsing as he looked up to her helplessly.

He coughed, unable to speak, his jaw trembling.

"Oh, Gohan!" Roxena sobbed. She felt so helpless, watching as his limbs shook. The puddle of blood growing larger. Without thinking she pulled her gown up off, leaving her in just her stained undergarments. She rolled the gown into a ball, carefully placing it under his head. "Gohan…"

Gohan was trying desperately to move his fingers, but he was just utterly paralyzed. He grit his teeth, helplessly looking at the weeping girl that was knelt over him. She was being so sweet, trying whatever little thing she could do to comfort him. Tears flowing as if she really cared.

He wished he could return the gestures.

To make her stop crying.

To help her finally get free.

.

"Beg me," Vegeta spat.

Frieza's small form was watching, blood lining down his cheek as the saiyan walked closer. He had gotten so many successful blows. So many punches and ki blasts. Frieza hadn't been able to land one on him.

Where did this strength come from?

Last he saw the monkey prince, he'd been able to completely overpower him without effort. To control him with the jerk of his finger, and send him flying with the flick of a wrist.

"Beg me!" Vegeta snarled again. "For your life! For redemption!"

"Fuck you, little monkey!" Frieza growled. He began to summon a beam in his hand, but Vegeta slammed him before he had a chance to fully power it. "Agh!"

Frieza actually fell back, stunned.

Was this defeat?

And what was this sensation he felt? Fear?

Vegeta began to march for the tyrant, but then the door flew open. Both men looked up to see a little brat run in the room. He was dressed and looked almost identical to the one Vegeta had presented to Frieza the night before. But this one had blonde hair that flamed away from his face, his small muscular biceps shaking as he laughed manically.

"Get out!" Vegeta barked, turning back to Frieza before the tyrant had a chance to move. "Shut up and leave us!"

But there was something in the boy's voice that made Frieza grin. An aura radiating into the room that he recognized so well. And, as the boy fired a blast into Vegeta's back, Frieza knew this was his chance. Captain Ginyu had come through for him with his body snatching technique. Quite literally, Vegeta wouldn't know what hit him.

And now, Frieza knew that little monkey bitch would pay for all of the trouble he caused. For now there was a chance, and the tyrant lizard would be able to transform, unleashing the strength that he typically kept at bay.

AN:

Yet another short chapter, but definitely a good place to stop it. I anticipate the next chapter to be much longer, and there's only two left. Perhaps three if I decide to write an epilogue!

Thank you so much for your continued support.
