Disclaimer: I do not own Star Wars.

Baylan had been sitting, waiting, when he suddenly felt Shin's presence in the Force reappear. Not even a second later she sat up, inhaling sharply, then leaned over the edge of the stone slab when she began to gag. Baylan moved quickly, seating himself behind her. He gathered her hair and her padawan braid in one hand, gently rubbing her arm with his other hand. Shin vomited stomach acid, then dry heaved for a few minutes. She gasped for air when she stopped, trying to catch her breath. Baylan grabbed a canteen of water that he had found in the supplies that had been strapped to Shin's howler. He handed it to her and she took one long sip followed by several smaller ones. She looked up at him, unspoken questions in her eyes. "Shin," Baylan said, "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have-"

Shin sighed, "I really don't want to talk about that right now."

Baylan nodded, "Alright."

"I would like to get up though." She moved to stand as she said this, Baylan hovering at her side. She took a few hesitant steps, each one more unsteady than the last.

Baylan grabbed her arms to steady her, "You need to take things slowly, you've only just woken up." Shin nodded at let him lead her back to the stone slab.

"Thrawn?" Shin asked, as she sat down.

"Gone."

"And the Jedi?"

"That, I do not know."

Shin hummed in response, closing her eyes. She could feel the Force...more clearly than she had before. "I sense something strange about this planet. Something ancient...and calling out."

"What else?" Baylan asked.

Shin opened her eyes and met his gaze, "I sense that our journey together is not yet over."
