Disgusting eels
Eels, most of the dragons I know find them scary, especially Toothless, his fear for eels can only be compared with my dislike for water, personally I don't find eels scary but I do find them disgusting
Anyway, humans don't have any problem with them but it looks like there's a sickness called "eel pox" it makes humans very sick with fever, delusions and more stuff
It wouldn't be a problem if one or two humans got sick but most of the Vikings of Berk have gotten sick
Luckily, none of the riders is sick and there's also a cure for the eel pox, so Astrid and Stormfly went to get Gothi while the rest of us waited at the academy
"You ready, gang?" Hiccup asked
"Ready to leave Berk during an island outbreak of Eel pox? Let me think, let me think, let me think, I would say a big fat yes" Snotlout said
"I never thought I'd say this but I agree with Snotlout, I don't want to stay here if there's eels everywhere" Toothless said
"Toothless, you know there aren't any eels, do you?" Meatlug asked
"I don't care, just the word 'eel' terrifies me" Toothless said
"Come on, Toothless, eels aren't that bad, they're just a bit disgusting" I said
"That's easy for you to say" Toothless said
"Hey, look an eel" Hookfang said
"WHERE?! DON'T LET IT GET CLOSE TO ME!" Toothless yelled as he hid behind me, so I glared angrily at Hookfang
"What?" he asked
Then, Stoick entered the academy but he didn't look so good
"Hiccup!" he sneezed
"Dad, you should be resting up at the Great Hall" Hiccup said
"Nonsense" Stoick said before sneezing all over Snotlout "I wouldn't be grounded by the sniffles". Then, Stoick was about to sneeze again, so he looked away in order to avoid sneezing on his son but he sneezed all over Blake instead
"Ugh, that's disgusting" Blake muttered
"Hey, watch where you're sneezing, would you?" I said
Then, Astrid and Stormfly entered the academy with Gothi
"I've got the list of ingredients and it's a big one" Astrid said as Gothi showed them the big list
"It's probably going to take us a while" Stormfly added
"Well then, we better get moving. That medicine it's not going to make itself" Hiccup said as he picked up his shield
"I should be going with you" Stoick said as he followed Hiccup but he sneezed again. Luckily, Hiccup blocked it with his shield
"Dad, Berk needs a healthy chief not a sick dragon rider. We can handle this" Hiccup said
"All right, I'll stay here with the rest of the village" Stoick said as the teens began to leave on their dragons "Be safe, Hiccup"
"When am I not safe?" Hiccup asked but Stoick just raised an eyebrow "Uh… don't answer that"
Then, we flew off to Healer Island where the ingredients to make the cure are
"Feeling any better, Toothless?" I asked
"Yeah… now that we're off the island and there's no eels in miles" Toothless said happily
Minutes later we finally arrived at Healer's Island
"Okay, gang, we have a lot of ground to cover, so let's get to work" Hiccup said
We split up in order to get the ingredients faster, it only took us a couple of minutes to have them, so we reunited at the same spot we landed
"I think that's everything, right?" Hiccup asked looking at Gothi who shook her head and began to write on the sand, so Fishlegs and Blake went to translate
"Apparently the last ingredient isn't in this island" Blake said
"The last ingredient is… a Bloodbane Eel!" Fishlegs gasped
"Eel?! Where?!" Toothless asked
"Calm down, Toothless, there are no eels in this island" I said
"Where do we get those?!" Fishlegs asked but Gothi just pointed her staff at the ocean
"Well, great because we're not going to be able to search the whole ocean this afternoon, we need at least a long weekend for that, maybe even into Monday night" Tuffnut said before Gothi pinned him to the ground with her staff
"Gothi doesn't like to be interrupted, I learned it the bad way" Blake said rubbing the back of his head "Anyway, she says we have to head north to… oh"
Neither Fishlegs or Blake said something, they just looked at each other
"Where do we have to go?" Hiccup asked
"Eel Island" Fishlegs said
"Eel Island?!" all of the other dragons asked
"Seriously?" I asked
"Hey, one eel is a thing but an island full of eels… there's no way I'll get close to that" Hookfang said
"We won't get close either" Barf and Belch said
"Our dragons would never go near Eel Island, they're terrified of eels" Astrid said
"You're right, Toothless and I will go alone" Hiccup said
"What?! no, please don't make me go to that island" Toothless pleaded
"I know, bud, eels aren't your favorite but you're the fastest dragon" Hiccup said
"Let us go with you" Blake said as he got on my back "Thunder is pretty fast too and he's not terrified of eels as the other dragons, it'll be easier for us to get closer"
"Thunder, how are you not afraid of eel?" Stormfly asked
"Honestly, even I don't know, I just don't see any scary in them" I said
"All right, let's get going" Hiccup said, so we quickly flew off
It was all fine in the flight until I noticed that Toothless looked a bit nervous
"Toothless, are you nervous or something?" I asked
"What? no, we're just flying towards an island full of eels, so why should I be nervous?" Toothless asked with a chuckle
"Okay, that answers my question" I said
"Sorry, it's just that you know how much I hate eels" Toothless apologized
"I know, I know. Listen, if any eel gets close let me take care of it, okay?" I said
"Thanks, Thunder" Toothless said
Then, we saw an island in the distance
"So, I guess that's Eel Island, isn't it?" Blake said
"Let's take a closer look" Hiccup said, so we flew into the island and find eels in a river
"Wow, eels, that was quick" Hiccup said
"I don't think it's called 'Eel Island' for the lack of eels" Blake said "So… how are we supposed to get one?"
"Let me try something" Hiccup said as he used the grappling hook of his shield trying to hook one eel and he seemed to catch one, so he pulled the line but an eel jumped out of the river and landed on Toothless' face
"AH! GET IT OFF ME! GET IT OFF ME!" Toothless panicked but Hiccup fell off his back and landed in the river
"Hiccup!" Blake yelled, just as Toothless was able to get the eel off his face
"Wait, where's Hiccup?" he asked
"He fell from your back, he's in the river!" I said
"What?!" Toothless asked just before diving into the river not caring that it's full of eels. Seconds later, Hiccup and Toothless came out, so Blake and I landed
"Hiccup! Are you okay?" Blake asked
"I am, but Toothless… he… he ate an eel" Hiccup said
"He what?!" Blake asked
"Toothless… did you seriously ate an eel?" I asked
"I… I did… it tasted so bad" Toothless said but he's starting to get scared "T-Thunder… what's happening to me? why… why is everything red and distorted?"
"Toothless, it's all right" Hiccup said walking towards Toothless
"H-H-Hiccup? Don't get close… why do you look like that?" Toothless growled
"Let me take a look at you" Hiccup said
"Toothless, calm down, it's okay" I said as I tried to walk towards Toothless
"Stay away from me!" he roared before running off
"Toothless, come back!" Hiccup yelled
"We have to catch up with him before-" Blake got interrupted when he began to cough violently
"Oh no, not you too, Blake" I said
"Oh gods, not again. How did I catch a cold here?" Blake asked
He continued to cough, so Hiccup walked towards him
"Blake, I don't think it's a cold, I think it's eel pox" Hiccup said
"Eel pox? But how? The last time I got contact with someone with eel pox was… when Stoick sneezed all over me!" Blake gasped before getting on my back "I think I should go back to Berk"
"No, you can't fly in your condition, it's dangerous" Hiccup said
"I agree, you shouldn't fly if you're sick" I said
"We have to go for Toothless then. We'll go faster on Thunder, I'll be fine" Blake said, so Hiccup nodded and got on my back, so I ran off behind Toothless
I ran for a while and there was no sign of Toothless
"Toothless! Toothless, where are you?!" I called but there was no answer
This is bad, where could he be? And to make things worse, Blake's eel pox is starting to get worse
"Blake, are you sure you'll be fine?" Hiccup asked
"Y-yeah… I'm just… a little cold" Blake said with a shiver
"The eel pox's getting worse, you said you're not cold when you ride Thunder" Hiccup said
"Yeah, how can you be cold now?" I asked
"Did I say that? I thought you were the one who doesn't get cold when you ride Toothless" Blake said before thinking in his own words "Great, I think the fever is starting to affect me"
Suddenly, we saw an explosion in the sky, it's red but it was obviously made by a Night Fury
"That must be Toothless, let's go, Thunder" Blake said
"On it" I said
It wasn't hard to find Toothless, he was in a clearing which was inside of the forest
"Toothless!" Hiccup said as he got off my back
"H-H-H-Hiccup… no… g-g-get back" Toothless said
"It's okay, bud. I can help you" Hiccup said
"Just breathe, Toothless, it's all going to be okay" I said
"What's that sound? Why is it so loud?" Toothless asked
"What sound?" I asked
"Stop screaming at me!" Toothless said
"I'm not" I said just before Toothless shot a red plasma blast
He tried to close his mouth but he shot another plasma blast at a tree creating a bigger explosion than usual, so Hiccup fell
All right, that's big and incredibly dangerous. No wonder why you guys don't go easy on eels" Hiccup said
Toothless shot another plasma blast at Blake and me but we ducked and dodged it
"Okay, six shot limit, that was four" Hiccup said
Toothless shot his fifth plasma blast near Hiccup making him fall once again
"Toothless, control yourself" I said
"I-I-I-I can't" Toothless said and shot his sixth plasma blast at the sky
"And that's make six" Hiccup said as he got up
"Be careful, Hiccup" Blake coughed
"Toothless is out of shots, maybe now we can find a way to fix this" Hiccup said before noticing Toothless' mouth was glowing red
"R-Run" he said
"Seven shots? Are you kidding me?!" Hiccup asked as he ducked
Toothless continued to shot his plasma blasts like crazy, I had to dodge a few of them but Blake fell of my back and Hiccup was also having trouble with dodging Toothless' plasma blasts
"Stay behind me, I'll protect you both" I said as I put myself between them and Toothless
"We… can't stay here" Blake coughed
"I just need to get close to Toothless" Hiccup said
Then, Toothless shot a plasma blast straight at me, so I had no choice but to shot a lightning blast
The explosion sent me, Hiccup and Blake flying towards a near tree, but Toothless slowly walked towards Hiccup and when he was close enough, he nudged him
"I… I'm sorry" Toothless said
"Toothless" Hiccup said before Toothless ran off
"Toothless, wait!" Hiccup said as he and I got up, but Blake doesn't have strength left, so he had to sit and lean against the tree
Suddenly, we heard something behind some bushes
"Who's there? Show yourself!" I said as I got ready to attack
"Hey, it's us" Meatlug said when she and Fishlegs came out of the bushes
"Oh, sorry, Meatlug" I apologized
"Hiccup!" Fishlegs said happily
"Fishlegs, I'm glad to see you!" Hiccup said
"Where's Blake?" Fishlegs asked
"Right here" Blake sneezed
"You don't look so good, what happened here?" Fishlegs asked
"Thunder, what's wrong with your rider? And where's Toothless?" Meatlug asked
"My dad gave Blake eel pox when he sneezed on him and Toothless ate an eel" Hiccup explained
"Toothless ate an eel?!" Fishlegs gasped
"He did" Blake coughed
"And it's not agreeing with him either" Hiccup said
"Toothless really ate an eel?!" Meatlug gasped
"Yeah, and… it's almost like that eel made him lost control over himself" I said
"I can still help you to find him" Blake said as he tried to get up but I gently pushed him down
"Sorry, Blake, but I can't allow you to go" I said as I shook my head
"No, you've done enough, Fishlegs and I will go and look for Toothless. But first" Hiccup said before pulling out a net and place it on the ground
"What are you doing?" Fishlegs asked
"I'm building a netter trap" Hiccup said
"You really think this net is going to hold Toothless?" Fishlegs asked
"Well, if it doesn't Meatlug could always sit on him" Hiccup joked
"She can hear you, you know?" Fishlegs asked but Meatlug was asleep
How can she fall asleep that fast?
"What a day, I don't know how much worse things can get" Hiccup said as he threw a grappling to a branch above him
"I do, pretty worse actually, all the ingredients for the eel pox cure are still in Toothless' saddle bag and I don't even want to tell you how are things back at the village" Fishlegs said
Minutes later, the trap was finished and Meatlug was also awake
"Well, I hope this works" Hiccup said as he gave a few steps backwards "We better get in the air and see if we can track Toothless down" then, he looked at Thunder "Thunder, stay here and keep an eye on Blake, will you?"
"Don't worry, I will" I nodded before they flew off on Meatlug
Without anything else to do, I laid down around my rider to make sure he gets some rest
He's shivering in cold, I wish I could help him to warm up but he's temperature is pretty high, if I warm him up it might give him some relief but it'll only make his fever worse
Then, Blake began to get up, so I had to stop him
"Don't do that, you need to rest" I said
"Don't stop me, Thunder… I… I need to help somehow" Blake said as he got up
I quickly understood what he was trying to do, so I bowed down in order to let him ride me
"Thanks, Thunder" Blake coughed
He quickly got on my back, and we walked towards the trap Hiccup made, Blake got a rope in order to trigger the trap and we hid behind some bushes, all we need to do now is wait
After at least 30 minutes of waiting, Hiccup and Toothless crashed in the clearing
Toothless was about to get up but Blake dropped the net on him
"Got you!" Blake said as we came out of the bushes "I got him, right? Because I think I've seen like eight Toothless flying around the island"
"You actually caught Toothless, thanks, Blake" Hiccup said
"No problem" Blake coughed almost falling from my back
"Sorry for doing this to you, Toothless but you left us no choice" I said
"L-L-L-Let me… go" Toothless said before shotting a plasma blast creating a hole in the net, so he escaped
"Toothless, no!" Hiccup yelled noticing how Toothless was about to charge at us but out of knowhere, Meatlug fell on top of Toothless pinning him to the ground
"Uh… is the eel pox getting worse or did Meatlug just came out of nowhere?" Blake asked
"Nope, it really happened" I said
"Fishlegs, I can't believe that actually worked" Hiccup said
"Careful, Hiccup, he might shoot you" Fishlegs said
"No, he won't" Hiccup said as he walked towards Toothless "You're okay, just a little sick, but we might have a way to fix that"
"What does he mean by that?" I asked
"We believe the eel Toothless ate made him sick with eel pox, so we're going to give him the cure" Meatlug explained
"Don't worry, Toothless, you'll be better soon" I said
Minutes later, Fishlegs finished to make the cure for the eel pox and gave it to Hiccup
"Here goes nothing" he said
Toothless sniffed the medicine and opened his mouth to shot a plasma blast but Hiccup quickly thew the medicine into his mouth
At first, Toothless didn't seemed to like the taste but all of the sudden he managed to get Meatlug off his back and pounced at Hiccup before roaring in his face
"WHAT WAS THAT SUPPOSED TO BE!?" Toothless roared
I was already preparing myself to shot a lighting blast just in case Toothless tried to attack Hiccup but he only threw up an eel
"Eew, great" Hiccup said a little disgusted
"Ow… my head" Toothless said but it looks like he's getting control over himself "Hiccup?"
"There's the Toothless I know" Hiccup didn't hesitate to give Toothless a hug, something that he enjoyed "Welcome back, bud"
"I'm so happy to see you" Toothless said
Then, a Typhoomerang roar was heard
"Uh, while I love this reunion, perhaps we should finish it back at Berk" Fishlegs said nervously
"I couldn't possible agree more" Hiccup said
"Guys… before we leave… can I get some of that medicine?" Blake coughed
"Oh, right, sorry" Hiccup said
Fishlegs quickly gave Blake some of the cure, so he drank it. Since we couldn't stay at the island, we had to fly off
After a while, the medicine seemed to be working in my rider
"Feeling any better, Blake?" I asked looking back at him, he looked a bit dizzy but he gave me some head pats to tell me he's fine "How about you, Toothless, feeling any better?"
"Well… my head kinda hurts such as my stomach but I feel much better compared how I was" Toothless said
"I hope you don't mind me asking but… what happened after you ate the eel?" I asked
"Uh… it's hard to explain but… first my stomach began to hurt a lot and then… I couldn't really see… everything looked red and distorted" Toothless explained with a disgusted expression
"And why did you told me to stop yelling at you when I wasn't?" I asked
"After a while my ears where really sensible… the minimum sound was to loud for me… that's why I thought you were yelling at me… sorry about that by the way" Toothless apologized
"Well, I'm glad that you're fine, I was starting to get worried and my rider also got sick with eel pox" I said
"Now you see why I'm terrified of eels?" Toothless asked
"Yeah, I think so" I said
After a while, we returned to Berk, almost everyone was sick by now but with Gothi's help, Hiccup, Fishlegs and Blake were able to make some of the cure for the whole village
Well, I guess that was all for our eel problem
Metal thieves
So… uh… I'm kind of angry right now, the day started pretty normal. I was happily eating the breakfast Blake gave me while he and Gobber worked on the forge
But then, Hiccup and Toothless entered the forge saying they have an emergency, Blake and I thought there was a Berserker attack or something but it turned out Trader Johann was coming once again
I wasn't happy when I learned the truth and Blake wasn't really happy either but the other riders looked a bit happy while we're waiting for Tader Johann
"I still can't believe you and Hiccup lied in order to bring me and Blake" I said glaring at Toothless
"I said I'm sorry like ten times now, what else do you want?" Toothless protested
"An explanation of why you and Hiccup wanted us to come" I said just before Trader Johann's ship appeared
"Trader Johann is here!" Fishlegs said excitedly "Everyone, Trader Johann is here!"
"Johann, that guy never lets me touch any of his cool stuff" Snotlout complained
"Because you always break something" Blake said
"Hey, how can you say that if you never come to trade with Johann?" Snotlout asked "If fact, why are you even here?"
"Hiccup said he had an emergency and forced me to come" Blake said looking slightly at Hiccup
"I just needed an excuse to make you come. You never come to trade with Johann, so I thought you'd like to give it a try" Hiccup said
"There's the explanation you wanted, you happy?" Toothless asked
"I guess" I groaned
"Okay, I'll try it" Blake said
Then, the riders went to see what Trader Johann had, even Gobber came I just waited for my rider to end so we could return to the village
Suddenly, I heard what seemed to be a lot of metal crashing, so I looked where the sound came and saw Toothless next a pile of metal
"Toothless, what did you do?" I asked
"Nothing, I just poked it and it all came down" Toothless said
Minutes later, the riders were finishing, so they began to get on our back
"Let's do this, Macey" Tuffnut said as he hugged a mace. I'm not even going to ask
Then, Gobber grabbed Snotlout, as he was getting on Hookfang's neck
"Not so fast you, I paid good money for this scrap metal and I'm not having you dropping it into the ocean" Gobber said, so we had to carry the metal back to the forge but Toothless was growling at the metal
"Toothless, are you okay? Did you eat another eel?" I asked
"What? no? it's just that… this metal… there's something in it I just don't like" Toothless said "And that time I ate the eel was a while ago"
"What is it then?" I asked
"I don't know… it's just like a bad feeling I have" Toothless said
"It's okay, I'm sure it's nothing" I said
"Yeah, maybe you're right" Toothless said
The next day Blake and I got but when we left his room, we saw Gobber muttering to himself
"Uh… what are you doing?" Blake asked
"Good morning, Blake. I'm setting a trap" Gobber said
"For what?" Blake asked
"Someone stole a lot of metal last night, so I'm setting a trap to catch the thief" Gobber said just before a crossbow shot an arrow straight at me but I ducked in time
"Hey, watch it!" I growled, so Gobber laughed nervously before continuing to work on his trap
"Come on, Thunder, let's see if someone knows anything about that metal thief" Blake said, so I nodded as an answer
We walked around the village where Vikings were talking about some stolen objects
It didn't take us long to encounter the other riders and dragons
"So, I guess you all know about the metal thief, huh?" Blake asked
"Yeah, it's the thing everyone is talking about" Fishlegs said
"Uh… what's with Tuffnut?" Blake asked, now that he says it, Tuffnut looks like he's been crying for a while now
"That dumb mace of his was stolen" Ruffnut groaned annoyed
Then, Hiccup and Toothless walked towards us
"What's going on here?" Hiccup asked
"A bunch of stuff got stolen from the village last night" Snotlout said
"Some of us are taking it pretty hard" Astrid said gesturing at Tuffnut who was still crying
"Macey! Macey! She's gone! Noo!" he cried and fell to his knees before looking at Ruffnut "You! you were always jealous of her. You knew I loved her because I told you so often and I wrote it in your room on the wall"
"Did any of you see anything?" Stormfly asked
"No, but I think Thunder did" Belch said
"Yeah, he should know something" Barf said
"What do you mean by that?" I asked
"Well, you slept in the place that probably has most metal in Berk" Barf said
"So, we thought you saw something" Belch said
"Sorry, but no I didn't see anything" I said just before Stoick walked towards us
"We've got quite situation on our hands" he said "Axes, shields, helmets, drinking goblets, all gone"
"Axes, shields, helmets, drinking goblets, what do all those things have in common?" Hiccup asked
"Obviously, duh, they're all gone" Snotlout said as he banged his helmet
"No, they're metal. Everything that's missing is metal" Hiccup said
"Hiccup, everything we own is metal" Astrid said
"But he's got a point. For example, things made out of wood weren't stolen" Blake said
"Whatever is going on I need to find whoever is responsible before panic gets any worse" Stoick said just before Gobber ran towards him
"Stoick! Bucket and Mulch are slapping each other with sturgeons" he said as he pointed at said Vikings
Stoick looked at them and noticed that indeed they were slapping each other with sturgeons
"What happened to their bludgeons?" Stoick asked
"Stolen" Gobber said
"In some ways I think that's probably better" Stoick said
"Uh, dad, what do you say you take care of the sturgeon slapping while Astrid, Blake and I do a little investigating" Hiccup said, so Stoick nodded and walked away with Gobber
"And how are we supposed to do that little investigating?" Blake asked
"To turn to the scenes of the crimes and see if we can find out something about this metal thief" Hiccup said just before Tuffnut walked pass them
"I miss her!" he cried
"Barf, Belch, do something to make him feel better, would you?" Meatlug said
"I don't make any promises" Belch said
"Me neither" Barf said
The first place we went to investigate was the forge, so the riders quickly began to search for any clue
"Gobber, Blake, any of you remember who's been here the last couple days?" Hiccup asked
"Hmm… not really, it's hard to say when a lot of people have been coming, we've been too busy because of that" Blake said rubbing the back of his head
"Yeah, business has been booming. There's only 41 shopping days left until Snoggletog. Don't wait until the last minute" Gobber said, so Hiccup began to look for clues too
"No footprints" he said
"This metal thief won't get the best of me, I've set up a trap that's guaranteed to nab him" Gobber said
"The same trap you almost hit Thunder with while you were setting it?" Blake asked
"Don't mention it" I growled
"What is he talking about?" Stormfly asked
"When Blake and I woke up, we found Gobber setting a trap and he almost shot me with an arrow" I said
"Why it doesn't surprise me?" Toothless asked
"That's the one" Gobber said before stepping on something, so he froze
"What's the matter?" Astrid asked
"Uh… it would appear like I've trapped myself with my own trap" Gobber said as he looked at all of the crossbows pointing at him "No one move a muscle"
"Just give me a moment to help him" Blake sighed as he facepalmed himself
It took a while, but Blake managed to release Gobber from his own trap
After that, we went from house to house but we didn't have any luck, no one seemed to know or see anything
It didn't help that our riders didn't find a single clue that might tell them who the thief could be
The last house we checked was the twins' house, Stormfly, Toothless and I had to wait outside
"So, you do you think this thief is?" Toothless asked
"I don't really know, I first thought it was Snotlout trying to make himself rich by selling the stolen metal" I said
"Honestly, I thought that too" Stormfly asked
Then, our riders exited the house
"Well, that was as helpful as usual" Hiccup said sarcastically
"You know, what Ruffnut said left me thinking. What if we're not looking for a person but a dragon" Blake said
"You might have a point" Hiccup said as they got on our backs
"It's getting late, we'll start again in the morning" Astrid said, so we flew back to our respective homes to sleep
The next day we wanted to reunite at the plaza in order to investigate once again, but it seems like more metal objects were stolen, even Fishlegs and Snotlout's helmets were missing along with Astrid's shoulder pads
They look pretty different without them
"The thief hit you guys too, huh?" Fishlegs asked
"I feel naked without my helmet" Snotlout complained
"Me too" Tuffnut said as he and Ruffnut walked towards them. Also, both of their helmets were missing "But I made a sketch of the thief. It came to me in a dream"
"Uh… how can you be so sure your sketch is accurate to the thief?" Blake asked
"You see, my subconscious is working overtime, like a sports team that just can't win" Tuffnut said as he pulled out a scroll which had his sketch but it was a picture of himself
"Tuffnut, that's you" Astrid said
"No, it's not" Tuffnut said
"Yes, it is" Fishlegs said
"No it isn't, I think I would recognize myself if…" Tuffnut stopped when he looked at the image of himself "Uh… I guess it is"
Then, Hiccup and Toothless landed next to us
"Hey, guys, I think I know who the thief is or should I say who the thieves are" Hiccup said "Adolescent Smothering Smokebreath dragons"
Ugh, I was hoping to not hear or even see those dragons again
"Of course, Smokebreath steal metal to build their nests" Fishlegs said
"But why would Smokebreaths be on Berk?" Stoick asked
"Chief, coming it with the big win. Smothering Smokebreaths don't surely stay far away from Breakneck bog" Fishlegs said
"That's the part I'm still unclear about" Hiccup said
"I've been robbed!" Gobber suddenly yelled as he ran towards them "The thief evaded my traps and took all the metal I bought from Trader Johann, even Blake's helmet was taken"
"Wait, but I don't even use a helmet. In fact, I don't even have a helmet, but I should though if I consider how many times I've hit my head" Blake said
"I was making you one for Snoggletog" Gobber said
"Dad, I think I might know how the Smokebreaths got here" Hiccup said
Later that evening, we were at the academy trying to find out a solution for the Smothering Smokebreath problem
"We have to find that missing metal, especially the weapons" Hiccup said
"Macey must be so scared and alone out there. It's hard out there for a mace" Tuffnut said as he continued to cry
"Can't you calm him down?! It's getting annoying" Hookfang said
"Hey, we tried everything, okay?" Belch said
"Yeah, if it annoys you, why don't you do something?" Barf said
"Not my rider, not my problem" Hookfang said
"Maybe the Smokebreaths took the metal back to Breakneck bog" Astid suggested
"I don't think so, Smokebreaths can't fly a long distance carrying a lot of weight" Fishlegs said as he read the Book of Dragons
"Hey, Snotlout, how'd you get your helmet back?" Ruffnut asked
"Ha, it's my spare. A real warrior is never without his helmet" Snotlout said as he banged his new helmet
"Can't say the same for his brain" Astrid muttered
"So, if the Smokebreaths can't go back to Breakneck bog with all that metal, they must have built their nest here" Blake said
"Awesome!" Tuffnut said making us all look at him "Not awesome?"
"Seriously?" I muttered
"Definitely not awesome" Astrid said before looking at Hiccup "How are we going to find them, they could be anywhere?"
"Well, there's only one way to catch a metal thief and that's-" Hiccup began before getting interrupted by Tuffnut
"Wait, don't tell me, with a net? No, no, no, with a rope? No? Okay, don't say it, with a ropey net?" Tuffnut asked
"I was just going to say 'metal'" Hiccup said
"Oh, was on the tip of my tongue" Tuffnut said before looking at Ruffnut and stuck his tongue out "Flick it, come on, flick it" Ruffnut happily flicked Tuffnut's tongue with a finger
"We need to gather all the metal from the academy and use it and bait a trap the Smokebreaths won't be able to resist" Hiccup said
"Hiccup, sorry to be the one who says it but… you're aware that if we fail there won't be much metal left, don't you?" Blake asked as he crossed his arms
"I know but we have to take the risk, it's the only way we have to make them get us to their nest and our missing weapons" Hiccup said
"You did say all the metal, right, Hiccup?" Astrid said looking at Snotlout
"What?" he asked before realizing what Astrid was thinking "Oh you got to be kidding me. What about his leg? That's metal"
"Snotlout!" Hiccup said in a warning tone
"All I'm saying fair is fair" Snotlout said
"Snotlout, please!" Hiccup said
Later that night, we placed all the metal we could find at the plaza
"I say we should have flipped a yakpie for it" Snotlout said not to happy about his helmet also being used as bait
"Would you please shut up?!" Blake almost yelled before some fog arrived and covered the pile of metal
"It looks like they've taken the bait" Hiccup said "Okay, every important, no one do absolutely anything before I give the signal"
"Get them!" the twins yelled as they got in the fog with Barf and Belch before there was an explosion
"Yet, another plan perfectly executed" Hiccup said with some obvious sarcasm "Dragons, everyone!"
In the fog, the twins seemed to be fighting the Smothering Smokebreaths
"I got one!" Tuffnut yelled
"I got one too!" Ruffnut yelled
"Where are they?!" Belch asked
"Stop hiding!" Barf yelled
"Its skin feels all sweaty and clammy like a girl" Tuffnut said but when the fob disappeared, he and Ruffnut realized they were holding each other, so they quickly pushed each other apart
"There they go, follow them!" Hiccup yelled
We quickly flew off and began to chase the Smothering Smokebreaths until we arrived at the forest
We almost got them until the fog split up
"Everyone, split up" Hiccup said
Blake and I began to chase on cloud of fog, I was almost able to catch up with it but the fog surrounded us it quickly disappeared but the Smothering Smokebreaths were nowhere in sight
"Great" Blake groaned "We have to find them, Thunder, and fast"
"They couldn't have gone too far" I said
We looked for a while but there wasn't any sign of the Smothering Smokebreaths. However, we did encounter Astrid and Stormfly
"Blake, did you find the Smokebreaths' nest?" Astrid asked
"No, we lost them" Blake said
"It's like they don't even exist" I said
"We better continue looking" Stormfly said
We kept looking for a while without luck but then, Blake made me stop
"Wait, did you see that?" Blake asked
"What?" Astrid asked, so Blake pointed at something in the horizon "Dagur's armada! We have to tell Hiccup, I saw where he went, follow me"
We flew as fast as we could trying to catch up with Hiccup and Toothless, it was a but hard but eventually we did it
"Hiccup!" Blake said as we landed in front of him and Toothless
"Thank Thow we caught up with you" Astrid said
"Guys, I found the Smokebreaths' nest" Hiccup said
"Hiccup, we now have bigger problems than that" Blake said
"What do you mean?" Hiccup said
"We spotted something on the horizon" Astrid said
It was already we had already returned to the village where Hiccup used his spyglass to see Dagur's armada
"What is this guy, the king of armadas?!" Hiccup asked
"Apparently, he is, I don't even think he leaves his island without one" Blake said
"It's like he knew we'll be defenseless" Astrid said
"He did" Hiccup said
"This is getting better with every second it passes" Toothless complained
"I couldn't agree more with you, Toothless" I said
Minutes later, the rest of the riders returned to the village in order to tell the Vikings what's happening
"Trader Johann said he bought the scrap metal from a Berserker" Hiccup said
"And it was from Breakneck bog" Fishlegs said
"Dagur planted those dragons, he knew what they'll do" Astrid said
"Hiccup, you found the Smokebreath nest, you and the other riders go to it and get our weapons" Stoick said
"They'll be protecting it by now, we don't have enough time to fight the Smokebreaths and get back before Dagur attacks" Hiccup said
"Then I say we head out and blast those Berserkers with what we've got" Snotlout said
"I agree!" Hookfang said
"There's just seven of us against a whole armada, we're completely outnumbered" Blake said
"Well, if we cut ourselves in half, we'll be… twice as many" Tuffnut said
"Just once try to stop between here and here" Astrid said gesturing to her head to her mouth
"No, he's actually on to something" Hiccup said
"You can't be serious, Hiccup" Toothless said
"See? I'll get an axe" Tuffnut said
"What? no, we don't need an axe, we don't need more of us, we need more dragons" Hiccup said
"What are you saying, son?" Stoick asked
"Why fight against the Smokebreaths when we can fight with them?" Hiccup asked but everyone still looked confused "Everyone, bring all the metal you might still have in your houses, it doesn't matter how small it is!"
"You heard my son!" Stoick said, so all of the Vikings ran to their houses to do as they were told
The riders were getting on our backs but Gobber walked towards Hiccup and Blake
"I gutted my first Outcast with this" Gobber said as he gave Blake his hook "Take good care of
"Uh… are you okay, Blake?" I asked since he doesn't really know what to say, I guess it's because he used to be an Outcast
"We will, Gobber" Hiccup said before we flew off
Minutes later we were flying toward the Smothering Smokebreaths' nest, we also had one net with some metal
Ruff, Tuff, sound the dinner bell" Hiccup said looking at the twins, so they flew close to the nest and began banging some pans together
"Come and get it, Smokebuts" Ruffnut said as she dropped a pan
"Yes, Smokebuts, come and get it!" Tuffnut said as they flew away, so the Smothering Smokebreaths began to chase us
"Okay, they there are" Hiccup said as he looked back "We need to pick up the pace, if they get this metal we're done"
We all flew as fast as we could, the Smothering Smokebreaths were starting to get too close
"Dagur's fleet up ahead!" Hiccup said
"Just a little bit further" Toothless said
When we were above Dagur's armada, we dropped the metal and returned to the shore
The fog quickly surrounded the whole armada but it quickly disappeared. However, the Berserker ships were still there
"Uh… did it work?" Blake asked
"Should we do something?" I asked
"I thought they were supposed to-" Astrid began before getting interrupted by Hiccup
"Wait for it" Hiccup said
Nothing happened for a few seconds but then the ships began to break apart
"Okay, that was better than I expected" I said
Later that day, after the attack was over and returning the Smothering Smokebreaths back to Breakneck Bog with some "willing" help from Trader Johann, Hiccup, Blake and Gobber were returning everyone their stolen metal objects
"Yes, I found it!" Gobber cheered
"What is it?" Blake asked
"The Viking helmet I made for you. Here, try it on" Gobber said as he gave Blake the helmet
"Should I?" Blake said looking back at Hiccup
"Yeah, go ahead" Hiccup said, so Blake looked at me
"Come on, I'm sure you'll look nice with that on" I said
"What could go wrong?" Toothless asked
Blake didn't hesitate anymore and put the helmet on
"So… how do I look?" he asked
Uh… I don't really know what to say… he definitely looks different but I don't think it looks good on him and it doesn't seem like I'm the only who thinks that
"Well… it… looks nice" Hiccup said
"Yeah… right" Gobber said
"It doesn't look good on me, does it?" Blake asked with a sigh
"No, it definitely doesn't" Gobber said
"Sorry" Hiccup said
"Could you please take it off, it feels weird to see you with a helmet" I said
I guess some things are better the way they are
