Welcome back for another story chapter. Chapter 3 has arrived. In this chapter, the Gillman family are making their appearance. Let us see what they are doing and let's get to it.

Chapter 3: The Gillman Family
Far away beyond Brooklyn is the wonderful seashore island, Oceanside. It is a small populated region with homes being close to open rivers, many boats wandering, and people doing their daily routine.
Among all the people of Oceanside was a family who once were different, but the citizens appreciate them. They are the Gillman family!
The Gillman family consists of Ruby Gillman, normal teenager and the first sibling of the family in her teenage youth who loves Math, hangs out with her friends, and appreciates her family. Sam Gillman, the youngest sibling who likes to play dodgeball and have fun with her big sister. Agatha Gillman is the mother of the family who does her best to maintain the family together and works at selling homes on Oceanside. Arthur Gillman is the father of the family who has a great heart and works at a bottle shop. They even have a pet named Nessie, who is a tiny genius when it comes to making a plan.
Ever since Ruby dove into the water to save her best friend Connor, a sudden pulse illuminated her body, transforming her into a giant kraken. At first she felt scared and thought she was a monster, but Agatha assured her everything was fine. However, this only raised even more questions to Ruby when Uncle Brill, the brother of Agatha, told her even more about the kraken pulse. So Ruby had to find out why her mom never said anything about this.
Luckily Grandmamah, Ruby's grandmother was nice enough to share with her granddaughter the history of the krakens of how they were the protectors of the ocean and fought bravely against the mermaids. With Ruby understanding more about her destiny, she now had to think about it first on how she is handling all this.
Along the way, she met a new girl that people thought the new girl saved Connor instead of Ruby. Her name is Chelsea Van Der Zee. At first she was a normal girl who enjoyed helping Ruby with her life, but it turns out she held a dark, evil secret. You see, Chelsea's true identity is none other than Nerissa, the queen of all mermaids and arch-nemesis of the krakens. She manipulated Ruby to obtain the Trident of Oceanus from the Well of Seas. With the Trident finally back, she would lay waste to the Kraken Kingdom and Oceanside. But her plans were foiled when Ruby, Agatha, and Grandmamah joined forces to destroy the Trident once and for all. With everyone seeing the action, the people got over the fear of krakens and appreciated them by their performance.
It's been several weeks since the citizens of Oceanside enjoyed the Gillmans being here on land. We now check out the Gillman family on what they have been doing the last few weeks.
One afternoon, Ruby and Sam have returned from school, Agatha had just finished selling a home to a family that moved into town, and Arthur had finished selling a lot of bottles that had his daughter on display. Nessie stayed in the house, keeping vigilant of everybody's belongings.
"Hi Mom, hi Dad!" Ruby and Sam said in sync.
"Hello kids." Agatha and Arthur also said in sync.
Nessie greeted the kids with her cute, kind sound and both toddlers hugged him.
"How was school today for the both of you?" asked Agatha.
"Same as usual, I had a math test and passed it with an A+, Connor thanked me for helping him study, and me and my friends submitted our marine biology project for a grade of A." replied Ruby.
"That's so sweet my little tadpole. And what about you Sam? asked Arthur.
"I managed to teach several kids on how to maneuver at dodgeball and they appreciated me a ton 'cause I'm a legend." smirked Sam.
"Are you also doing good on your homework and studies too? You can learn some new techniques if you study more." assured Ruby to his little brother.
"Of course I am, you're the only one who can teach me the steps of success." said Sam.
"Well I'm glad everyone has done a tremendous job today." said Agatha pleased.
Suddenly, the ground shook and the family almost lost their balance. Luckily their home didn't shake so much and the ornaments were all okay.
"Boy, there goes another shake from the sewer systems." replied Arthur.
"I wonder what's on the news today?" wondered Ruby.
She and her family all sat down at the couch and turned on the t.v. to see what was happening. When they got to the news channel, they listened.
"Hello. I am Joana Harbie, calling to you to live at Oceanside's sewer entrance. Once again, another tremor has happened inside and the plumbing faculty can't seem to figure out the disturbance of these tremors." Joana announced.
"Man, are those plumbers really doing their job at fixing this problem?" asked Sam.
"Well Sam, the plumbers of Oceanside only check the upper part of the sewers and they can't go deeper otherwise they'll end up getting lost." assured Arthur.
"I wonder if the mayor has some solution to this problem." wondered Ruby.
"Let us find out, sweety." said Agatha.
"We now report with the mayor of Oceanside, John Steinberg. So tell us Mr. Steinberg, how do you plan to fix these earthquakes that have been happening recently?" asked Joana.
"So far, my agents and the plumbing faculty found out that something big lurks inside deeper within the sewers. Apparently, no brave men dared to explore deeper, feeling scared of getting lost and never coming back. But everything is under control at this moment." Steinberg reported.
"And do you have a plan for this situation?" asked Joana.
"Why yes I do. I managed to hire two best plumbers who live outside of town and they know a lot about the deepest parts of the sewers. They are the Super Mario Brothers!" exclaimed Steinberg.
"The Super Mario Brothers?" the Gillman family said altogether.
"And what can you tell us about these "Mario Brothers?" asked Joana.
"All I can say is they once tried to save their town from a huge flood leak, but didn't succeed. But lately, the brothers have helped many families who've had leak problems in their homes and they fixed it in no time." replied Steinberg.
"So do you think they'll be able to confront the source of these tremors and fix everything on time?" asked Joana.
"I can assure you these fine gentlemen will do anything to make Oceanside back to its original place. They'll be arriving in the next 2 hours here. So if you'll excuse me, I gotta prepare myself for the welcome arrival." assured Steinberg as he left.
"And there you have it folks, we are about to receive professional help from just two individuals outside of town. And that's the Super Mario Brothers! We'll return for more news updates right after these messages." finished Joana.
Agatha turned off the t.v. and spoke with her family about this.
"So, I wonder who these "Super Mario Brothers" are?" wondered Agatha.
"I heard that they saved Brooklyn from an invasion of strange creatures from another world." informed Ruby.
"They evenly stopped a tyrannical beast who was about to lay waste to the city, but these brothers saved the day." added Arthur.
"Hey, I think I found a video talking about them here." Sam informed them as he showed them the "Super Mario Bros. Plumbing" commercial.
After the video, they all were pleased and satisfied by the look on the video.
"That video was cute and awesome. Their Italian accents also sounded cute as well. I also liked the fact they did their best to set up everything including that woman they interviewed." shared Ruby.
"I think these two men fit the bill into helping our Oceanside. Maybe I can book them a temporary home with my apartments." said Agatha.
"Despite them being average plumbers based on their size, I think they have the skills to fix all the drain pipes in the sewers." responded Arthur.
"That rap song has gotta be the coolest thing I have ever heard. Do they jump a lot? Do they have so many followers? Can they beat any kind of enemy they encounter? Better yet, can we be able to meet them at the arrival ceremony today?" Sam said excitedly.
"Ha ha, there, there Sam. Well, since everyone has done great things today, I say we all go to the ceremony and check things out." assured Arthur.
"Yeah!" Ruby and Sam both shouted while Agatha smiled proudly. Nessie also wanted to join the party as well.
"You can come with us as well, Nessie. Oh, should Uncle Brill and Grandmamah hear about this as well?" asked Ruby.
"Don't worry Ruby, we'll see Brill at the ceremony and he can inform my mother when he returns to the Kraken Kingdom. For now, let's all go to the ceremony." assured Agatha.
The Gillman family left their belongings and went outside, where the ceremony was being held. Many other town's folks have also watched the news and are all excited as well. How would the Gillman family interact with Mario Brothers? What kind of surprises does the Mario Bros. have to show everyone their abilities? We shall see.
