DO NOT ENTER THE FOREST

19.- Premonitions

.

The old man's sinister voice repeated in InuYasha's mind.

Do not enter the forest.

The man had said that like a premonition. Later, their group had gone to the place they were going to stayover the night. InuYasha regretted it now; he should had been more careful. And now, he was afraid for Kagome, who may had been pulled into the maw of that forest that, like a hungry creature, seemed to want to devour them.

A flash of lightning illuminated the twisted trunks of the trees surrounding him, and amidst them, he found the one he most desired to find. The reverberating thunder came after, breaking the until then impenetrable silence, yet Kagome remained unperturbed, and immobile. InuYasha approached stealthily, surprised from having her so close without having perceived her presence. But now, the air was filled by her aroma, and that calmed him down.
