Traveler's POV

The day of the wedding had arrived, and the hall outside of the administrative area was lined up with chairs and covered with decorations.

"This looks great", Paimon praised. "Who knew a prison could make a good wedding venue?"

"Greetings, traveler and Paimon", a familiar voice greeted.

I looked up, and was surprised at who I saw.

"Clorinde", Paimon greeted happily. "What are you doing here?"

"Wriothesley asked me to come to keep an eye on an 'unique guest' during the ceremony", Clorinde revealed.

"Unique guest", Paimin repeated. "What do you mean by that?"

Before Paimon could get an answer, Wriothesley walked up to us.

"Greetings, Ms Clorinde", he greeted. "Glad you could make it."

"Of course", Clorinde said, before taking a look around. "I have to say Wriothesley, I'm impressed. Who knew you could be a wedding planner?"

"What can I say", Wriothesley started. "I'm a man of many talents."

"Um, Wriothesley", Paimon started. "Clorinde told us that you asked her to come down here to keep an eye on 'a unique guest' during the ceremony. What did she mean by that?"

"Why don't you take a look for yourself", Wriothesley asked, before gesturing towards something.

We looked in the decoration he was gesturing to…and saw a familiar face being dragged in by some guards.

"Dougier", Paimon exclaimed in shock. "What is he doing here?!"

"He tried to break down the people within the Beret Society", Wriothesley pointed out. "I want him to see first hand that he failed."

"Um…", Paimon started. "Paimon sees where you're coming from, but…are you sure it's okay for that guy to be here during the ceremony?"

"Don't worry", Wriothesley reassured. "I doubt that Dougier will try anything with so many guards and Clorinde here. And I also already asked Avice and Faisolle if they were okay with him being present during the ceremony."

After Wriothesley said this, he clapped his hands together.

"Now then", he started. "You two should take your seats. The ceremony will be beginning momentary."

Once everyone was seated, music began playing, and the ceremony began.

After a moment, Faisolle appeared at the the end of the hall.

When he saw Dougier sitting at the back, a look of fear appeared on his face.

However, that look quickly disappeared. He glared at Dougier for a moment, before turning away from him and walking down the aisle.

Once he reached the end…the music changed, and everyone rose to their feet.

Then, wearing a beautiful wedding gown…Avice appeared at the end of the hall.

Like Faisolle, a look of fear came to her face when she saw Dougier.

However, once she saw her soon-to-be husband waiting for her at the end of the aisle, all that fear vanished in an instant.

No longer paying any attention to Dougier, she walked down the aisle until she reached Faisolle.

The two smiled at each other, before turning to look at Wriothesley.

"Dearly beloved", he started. "We are gathered here today to join two people together in marriage. Recently, a terrible incident occurred within the Fortress of Meropide, physically and emotionally scaring those who were effected. However, through this incident, two people found each other. Today, we celebrate their union to remind ourselves that joy can be found within even the most terrible of situations."

After saying this, Wriothesley looked at the soon-to-be newlyweds as they turned to face each other.

"Avice, do you take Faisolle as your husband?"

"I do, your grace."

"And Faisolle, do you take Avice to be your wife?"

"With all my heart, your grace."

"Then", Wriothesley started. "As the Duke of the Fortess of Meropide, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."

With this, the newlyweds kissed, and everyone broke into a joyful applause.

Wriothesley's POV

With the ceremony now over, everyone moved to the Coupon Cafeteria for the reception.

Since this was a special occasion, I made arrangements with Wolsey so that everyone could get the deluxe welfare meal. I also managed to get a wedding cake from the over world.

As I watched everyone celebrate from one of the tables, a small smile came to my face.

Then, Clorinde came to sit down next to me.

"Who would've thought that a wedding of all things would ever be held in the Fortress of Meropide", she asked.

"My younger self would've never believed that such a joyous occasion could happen in a place like this."

After I said this, Clorinde took a look at everyone as they celebrated.

"Weddings are quite a wonderful thing, aren't they", she asked. "The joy that the newlyweds share spreads to everyone attending the event. Isn't that wonderful?"

"It is", I agreed.

"You know", Clorinde started. "If everyone is so happy at the marriage of two inmates, I wonder what it would be like if you ever got married?"

Hearing this got a chucke out of me.

"I doubt that I'll ever get married", I revealed. "It wouldn't be appropriate for me to marry an inmate or a guard, and I doubt anyone from the over world would want to come down here willingly."

"Is that so", Clorinde asked. "That's a shame. I think you'd make a wonderful husband, Wriothesley."

"Really", I asked with amusement. "Well then, Ms Clorinde, have you ever thought about getting married yourself?"

"It would be nice to get married", Clorinde replied. "However, as a champion duelist, I'm the most 'approachable' woman."

"If that's what people think, then it's their loss", I stated. "Anybody would be lucky to have you, Clorinde."

Clorinde didn't say anything else to my statement…but I did notice a smile on her face.
