Chapter Three –

Approaching the very large and most prominent white building in the alley as a crossroad of sorts into different alleys whist being a focal point that to the girl's eyes and they went go wide her eyes opened to very large emerald, green eyes indeed the building looked like a giant marble chess piece, standing as the centre like a massive centre piece to the Alley and he saw a couple of large creatures that appeared to be keeping guard.

The spears, and one-handed maces attached at his armoured waist and altogether ferocious expression totally gave it away really.

It reminded him so much of a series of storybooks she had liberated from his cousin Dudley's in second bedroom whilst he was younger that she could not help but enjoy a moment of whimsy during the torturing that was his previous life.

As the giant of a man, who Rose suspected to be in fact a giant or half giant, named Hagrid began walking up the stairs, Rose slowed to draw even with the guard. What an odd-looking creature, but then again everything was very odd lately, especially today.

"Oh, Fearsome Guard!" Rose called out to the guard, "Is all well within your magnificent golden laden halls, your gold overflowing in your vaulted halls and your enemy's quaking and bowing in fear of your ferocity at your feets?"

The creature stared at her, studying her and just when Rose was beginning to think she maybe should have refrained from indulging her fancies of good humour the creature gave herself a grin.

It was just as fearsome as the creature it belonged to; all shining, sharp teeth pulled into a grin with mirth. If nothing else came out of that day Rose set herself too learning how to smile just so fearsomely as it was just so awe-inspiring.

For one, it was cool, awe-inspiring, and formidable. For another, it would certain if she were lucky, she might be able to use it to discourage Dudley from engaging in any more Rose Hunting.

This was a game her cousin had thoroughly enjoyed playing as it involved chasing Rose until he was trapped around the local suburb or ran until out of breath and then he or his gang pummelling him normally until the bell rang and recess was over, or it was time to go inside for dinner or was battered and bruised, just now it would be over the holidays.

Rose was obviously not a fan of the game-namely to scare the pants off any other bullies or God forbid enemies. As she was being always being the prey to preyed upon all her young life for as long as she could remember, and she would be the predator.

"The walls stand firm child of magic child of magic's of old. All who dwell within great halls fare well in mind, body, and soul. If not only in prosperous pockets in all wakes of life and eternal glory." Declared the guard.

Rose felt her jaw drop open just a bit at the reply.

This creature knew the tale, she knew it and she knew it well enough to answer back! Feeling daring Rose continued with the next line.

"Fortuitous for I have come to venture within your great hallowed halls of the greatest halls of the known world and hold my treasure in you vaulted halls."

The guard laughed then. It was deliciously shiver-inducing.

"Is this your first visit thence forth, young mage-ling?" A small crowd had gathered around in awe by then, though Rose did not notice. She was far too entranced to pay mind to anything but this lovely being before him with the mischievous smile and murderous laugh that was indulging him in his game.

No-one ever played with him or her for that matter! Certainly, no one especially as important as a guard for a magical bank.

First, he finds out magic was real, then he gets his first ever birthday cake, then he discovers a real life hidden magical world located within the Leaky Cauldron hidden behind an entirely ordinary but magical brick wall and now she was making a friend, a Troll no less.

This would go down as one of her most precious memories was the best twenty-four hours in Rose's entire eleven years of life.

Not very much in the grand scheme normally to other people of things but when one lived in a cupboard under the stairs one didn't often have wonderful memories to fall back on when the bulb went out and one's aunt refused to replace it. Spiders made for poor companionship in the darkness and no friends.

"It is indeed." Rose refrained from jumping and clapping, whilst just barely able to anyway so in grossed and contain her excitement.

Rose's wonderful new friend gave Rose a considering look and then nodded decisively. "Well, I shall ensure you are given a proper first impression then shall I?

If you will direct your eyes upward to the archway young mage you will see a rhyme, I suggest you remember as should all who enter our hallowed halls pathed of gold and untold riches. After which I shall lead you into the main hall if it pleases you, mage-ling."

There were many surprised exclamations and incredulous glances exchanged at the last comment. Rose of course, remained oblivious, gazing upwards with interest. Large green eyes roamed over the words carved there, soaking them in.

The warning was magnificent. Every magical keep of treasure ought to have, in Rose's opinion. Once she was certain she knew them Rose turned to the guard and recited the words from memory.

"Enter stranger but take heed, of what awaits the sin of greed.

For those who take but do not earn must pay most dearly in their turn.

So, if you seek beneath our floors a treasure that was never yours,

thief you have been warned, beware, of finding more than treasure there."

With an approving nod, she was ushered into the main hall of the building of Gringotts Bank. Hagrid walked off to the side looking uncertain about the entire situation.

Although several people were staring open mouthed and whispering about earlier and now, quite openly as they entered thought they mostly were discreet whilst and some not so much. As for Rose, she did not know or care what was so exciting or their problem was.

They stopped at a teller's chestnut oak wooden desk inlaid with silver at the end of one of the long counters lining the hall. An odd older creature with exceedingly small single golden monocle perched on one eye with a very hooked, long nose and nimble hands with long nails sat behind it sat behind said desk.

The creature lifted a brow first at the guard, then at Rose and lifted both together as the sight of their audience, which was roughly half the hall. The other half was politely pretending they were not paying any attention.

"And What may I do for you?" A gravel-like voice inquired.

Rose's guard motioned at her with his spear. It spoke volumes about Rose's trust - or lack of self-preservation - that she was the only one who did not flinch at that movement.

"Young miss, visits Gringotts for the first time and has used the proper greetings according to our full customs. I have, as the goblin with whom he initiated the process, brought her here directly."

Many whispers echoed about. Even Hagrid said something under his breath though Rose could not make it out.

"Well done." Murmur 'ed the teller.

His sharp intelligent eyes inspected Rose with interest he did not bother to hide it with undisguised interest. Either because he did not think Rose would notice or because he did not care if she did. It was enough to make Rose want to squirm, and it was quite hard to resist the temptation. Luckily, she had a lot of practice withstanding still and being quiet thanks to his aunt.

She often showed him off to her husband's business partners that came for dinner. The pretty little orphan they had so graciously taken in or some such nonsense. Still, holding himself still just then seemed like the right thing to do.

"Do you have an account awaiting your arrival miss..."

"Potter sir. Err... Rose James Potter and I am recently married and accidently turned into a girl, but I am pleased to meet you. Well, I was this morning and then excitedly explained her day had turned out" Rose said, enthusiastically its definitely been a memorable day already.

"Did you hear that she said she was Rose Potter and is now self-proclaimed Rose Potter" was going around the bank echoing around the bank and down Diagon Alley like a large active swarm of wasps.

Later within the Bowels of Gringotts, Rose stared around in wonder at the near darkness, damp tunnels full of stalagmites and stalactites in the vast deep depths underground within England's Branch of Gringotts Bank, below the city of London.

He never would have suspected there would be a secret network of tunnels running under London, not in a million years and He and Hagrid might as well as even be under the Thames at this moment in time, given the moisture dripping from the ceiling.

They had past one of the many thief downfall waterfalls on the way down without any incidents Hagrid moaned quietly from his place in the screeching cart going down into the bowels of Gringotts Bank, as they were going to the highest security vaults at top speed, Rose asked Griphook whether the carts went any faster, and amped the speed up to maximum and Hagrid turned Green, at the thought alone, Griphook turned and winked and notched the Cart to maximum.

"I'm sorry you're running late Rose as your outing has been so crazy and won't be able see as much on your first outing to Diagon Alley," he groaned and gasp out as he passes out at any moment.

"I've always had trouble on these carts, but I never would have thought boats would be the same especially the sickness god never again and leaned over the side and was sick for the second time that day."

"I already said it was fine Hagrid," said Rose, grinning next time you just shouldn't have made the boat go quite so fast, that's all, the boat nearly came apart due to the speed and plus I've never had so much fun in my life as this.

Waving his hands around is a motion that meant all this.

Their morning had been the most eventful event in being rescued on his birthday and the day so far and hoped the rest of the day would be good of Rose's short Life so far.

Hagrid had received his morning paper late, since the owl that delivered it had been blown about a bit in the storm, losing all sense of direction. This meant Hagrid had slept in late, panicked and panicked again, rushed out a breakfast for the two of them and sped the boat to shore at top speed.

Not the best idea, for Hagrid, but Rose loved the speed, the rush of air buffering at them and the thrill.

At Vault Seven Hundred and thirteen will be around the next bend," said Griphook, the irritable looking goblin driving the cart stated bored. He grinned evilly at Hagrid's obvious discomfort due to the highest speed level and as he slammed on the breaks, bringing the cart to a sudden and direct stop. Griphook nimbly stepped out of the cart, lamp swinging in hand while Hagrid struggled to his feet and Hagrid looked and felt as if drunk.

Hagrid successfully retrieved the package within and told Rose to get in the cart first and Hagrid went to follow and Suddenly, Griphook's hand shot out, blocking Hagrid's path on entering the cart.

"Avadakedavra!" came out of the depths of darkness within the platform.

"What…" Hagrid's question was cut off as a blast of green light caught him in the chest, mid-bodily lifting him over the cart and Rose backwards, slamming Hagrid into the wall opposite and he fell deep within the bowels of the depths of Gringotts massive cavern complex after protecting Rose from a suspected assassination attempt on Rose's life, Rose cried out in shock and dropped within the cart. Rose ducked down inside the cart, terrified.

Noticing the package on the cart floor Rose placed it within his pocket to look at later once this problem was resolved finally, one way or the other.

What was that? Rose quickly found himself joined in the cart by Griphook, who leapt back into cover just in time to avoid another blast of green light of an Avadakedavra curse!

"Stay down girl, that's the death spell classed as an unforgivable even for wizards" growled the goblin, reaching inside his jacket and producing a set of heavy looking dagger's, here this dagger is tipped with a poison that can or would kill a man instantly depending on where they are struck said Griphook.

"I'll miss a raise if you were to die or my life if I was to survive and you died, without protection and I'll put my life on the line to protect you." But Griphook had to aid the Potter heir in his survival and he past one of the daggers to Rose. The cart rocked on the tracks as more blasts struck it and Rose flattened himself against the other side, cowering in fear.

Why, Oh Why? Did he agree to go with the big man? This was obviously no regular occurrence, at the bank! Thought Rose.

Rose and the goblin however, slid closer to the attacks within the protection of the cart sides, listening intently. After a few moments, the cart stilled, and the attacks appeared to have stopped. Readying himself, Rose and the goblin leapt up about to vault over the edge and charge whoever was attacking them.

As soon as Griphook stood, a jet of green light hit him directly in the chest, causing him to crumple like a rag doll. Rose stifled a scream when he saw the goblin's blank eyes. Was he dead? He remembered that light. It was the light from his dreams that had plagued him all his childhood dreams.

Shaking, Rose checked the small man's wrist. No pulse. The man's chest was completely still, and Rose choked back a sob. Whoever had cast that spell had killed him.

"Who the hell are you?" came out as stubborn if slightly shaky voice from Rose.

"That is none of your concern!" replied the dangerous man impatiently.

Rose reached over quietly and grabbed the Griphook's second dagger. She had to act now, closing the distance between the wizard.

"Avada Kee…" Shouted Lucius Malfoy.

Rose sliced the enchanted and poisoned daggers, one hard upon the man's wand arm, twisting and slicing though the man arm watching as the blade as it sunk in, watching the dark figure stagger back whimpering in pain.

The wizard with now one maimed arm and Rose using her science in biology lessons from primary school stabbed the man though the heart directly in to his magical core and life essence hard what he didn't consider was a wizard's duels to the death the winner win all as he was muggle raised and with no knowledge due to no wizarding teaching of magical theory and practical and the magic rushed through Rose and she fainted.

The implosion of magic imposed a Gringotts wide lockdown and within Gringotts Guard's and Warriors were searching their complex to search for the missing party.

Ragnarök was outside at Vault Seven Hundred and thirteen, This was completely disastrous one because of the event and If the vault had been breached, Gringotts' reputation would be completely ruined. So, he started an Investigation and full search of Gringotts and issued a kill on sight order to an intruders or animals that look out of place a kill on sight order was initiated.

He twitched his crossbow at a sound, only relaxing that the large lizard would scamper out off a crack in the tunnel wall. He had to focus, ignore the tunnels' usual inhabitants, and find the attacker.
