Abby chooses dauntless is reasonable . She doesn't like her auntie for a long time already. However about her mother， I never know that she was mistress before but it doesn't matter with Abby. She is my friend and I have to trust her

"Abby is my friend . I don't care what kind of mother she has but I trust her ." I say confidently.

"Okay， you will see one day when she betrayed you." Marlene rolls her eyes."I am not going to say a word totally."

"James tucker." Jason calls the last name on the list

James tucker is dauntless born. He walks off the stairs toward the stage . However he falls on the ground and all dauntless starts to laugh at him . I help him up.

"Are you okay?" I say kindly.

"I am fine and I don't need a stiff's help." James tucker pushes me away

He walks on the stage and takes the knife from Jason. Then he cuts his hand and without hesitation stretches his arm toward the bowl.

"Candor ." Jason announces

The first transfer from dauntless . I think that dauntless are very united . They don't quiet betrayed their own faction .

That must be because his friends laughed at him so he lost his dignity and pride . Dignity and pride are most important for dauntless and also are their flaw . However they are also in mine

"The choosing ceremony has been concluded . Now you may leave with your new faction"

I stand up. I really want to see my parent last time so I turn around . However the second that I lay my eyes on my parent， then I regret. My father's eyes are on fire . He is trying to kill me with the guilt.

Someone shuffle me out of the room and I start running with dauntless . I surprisingly figure out that dauntless are also using the stairs but why? After a minute of thinking， I realize that they are using the stair not out of selflessness but wildness . I start to feel my lung is burning but I don't care

I love the freedom they give me . We run out of the building. I follow the dauntless in front of me but I hear Abby's gagging.

I want to help her

"She can do it herself . If she can't make it， then she failed." A dauntless woman warns me ."You help her ， then you are out."

"She is my friend." I yell

"When you guys start initiation， you will thank me for it." The woman rolls her eyes

She runs away. I find weird . What does she mean?

"Don't feel surprised . My mom isn't in mood today." Uriah elbowing me .

"She is your mom?" I am shocked

If she is Uriah's mom， then she is hana pedrad then. Uriah and Zeke's father dead when they were young and hana raised them up.

"So today is my father……." Uriah doesn't continue

We reach below the train track . Dauntless starts to climb it. I like to reach high ground and I am used to watch dauntless arriving and leaving so it is my luck. I start to climb with them. I grab the handle firmly every time I pull myself up.

I reach the platform just on time when I hear the train . I start jogging with the dauntless born and members . I feel sign of relief because I know that I should make it.

I find a handle and grab it hard and haul myself in . I do it without much difficulties and sit down beside a Candor girl

"Good , you make it." The girl gives me a thumb up

"Thank you. My name is Delia." I say

"Elizabeth . From Candor and this is my sister Elisa ." Elizabeth stretches out her hand to me

Then I hear a scream, Abby makes it but her stomach hit the floor hard .

"Are you alright?" I comfort her

"Yeah , I am fine ." Abby seems unhappy. "Why don't you wait for me ?"

"She waits for you? Then she will be factionless. She is no longer abnegation abby." Zeke laughs so loud . "She is dauntless."

I don't say a word . I know that I have been selfish lately. I don't help people with their groceries anymore and I don't care other people have seat on the bus or not. I bury my face between my two legs .

"It's fine . It's not your fault." Uriah shakes his head . "Your friend is just being a jerk"

"She grew up with me Uriah . I should have known this ." I sigh .

It is around an hour before we hear people's yelling and screaming. I stand up and look out of the train . People are jumping off the train to a roof

"It is a seven stories high. They want us to jump?" A Candor boy called Albert complains

"Yeah that's what we come here for Albert." A girl called Jessie rolls her eyes . "Good luck."

When the roof reaches us , I jump as quick as I can. I landed on my two feet. I sigh with relief . Maybe I do belonged in dauntless .

"Oh stiff." Eric smirks at me

"Eric , why you are here?" I am surprised to see him

If Jason is true , he comes to dauntless just because Jeanine told him to do so . Then , we are in a big trouble .

"Two stiffs?" Eric opens his eyes wide

I look behind me . Another abnegation boy stands there . How many abnegation initiates transferred this year . I don't quiet remembered what did they choose . If erudite attacks abnegation again, then it is our fault.

"Shut your mouth Eric ." Abby retorts .

"Oh Abby? You also choose dauntless ? Because of me ?" Eric laughs . "Wander why."

"I choose not because of you." Abby walks away

She doesn't look at me or Eric anymore . She joins the group of the initiates around the rooftop.

"My name is Sam. I am one of the lieutenant here in dauntless . If you want to become one of us , you have to jump off the roof . If you can't muster to jump, then you don't belong in dauntless." Sam shrugs . "The initiates have the privilege of jumping first."

"What are at the button? Water or something?" William asks

"You will find out or not." Sam smirks

I look around me . No one are eager to jump off the roof

"Me."

Sam gets off the railing and I replace him instead . I look down . It is a big black hole at the button. I can only tell myself that I will land safely.

I close my eyes and jump. I am picking up the speed and finally I hit the net. A hand pulls me off . He has dark skin and I have seen him somewhere

Yes he is max . The mafia boss of dauntless

"That can be considered as first." Max smiles . "Tell me your name ."

"My name is Delia ." I say proudly.

"The first jumper Delia." Max announces . "Welcome to dauntless."

He then go to welcome the next jumper . Abby jumps off with a loud scream. Max pulls her down. He looks at he so kind and warm.

"God you are so light Abby ." Max says flirty .

"Yeah I am not planning to gain wait ." Abby is embarrassed

Everyone are down in a few minute . Max leaves and ted is standing with other boy.

"Dauntless born are with ted and transfer are with me ." The tall and slim boy announces

Dauntless born passes beside us quickly. Now only 9 of us are left

"My name is Amar . Most of time I worked in the control room and this year I volunteered to train you guys as an instructor ." Amar beckons to us. "Follow me ."

We follow him into the darkness . He brings us above a water fall.

"This is the chasm. Every year a dare devil will jump off the ledge and tossed them self in the water . It has happened before and it will happen again I promise . There is a clear line between bravery and idiocy . You have been warned ." Amar keeps walking

He leads us above a pit. We hear screaming and yelling from beneath us .

"Here is the pit . It is a central life of dauntless."

I look at them. I like it. I just need to finish the initiation and this will become mine

"Before we go to dinner , we will do something different ." He walks us upstair .

We stand in front of the glass building . He opens the door and we pile in . When I see what is inside , i shiver

"So in order to know you better , we will see your fear landscape." Amar says

"How is that possible?" Abby asks

Amar takes out a syringe . It is orange color

"This syringe contains a transmitter . It will send your fears in to computer and we will be Able to see it." Amar explains. "Who want to come first."

I raise my hand . Amar beckons me to follow him into the room

"Always first though." Amar smiles at me . "Are you afraid of me?"

"Not really ." I say embarrassedly. "You are my bestie's flavorite boy."

"Who?" Amar giggles . "Abby?"

I nod at him. He walks toward me . I brush my hair to the side and he inserts me hard .

"Two way: either you calm your heartbeat or face your fear directly." Amar helps to lay down. "Be brave Delia."

He kisses my forehead . I shudder . Why he wants to kiss my forehead . I fall unconscious and when I wake up, I am still in the same room .

However Amar and every thing disappeared . The door opens and Ted comes in. Why is he in my fear landscape ? Am I afraid of him?

"I miss you Delia . I love you." Ted comes near me

"No Ted! Don't comes near me !" I scream

He comes closer to me and kiss me . I shiver . Then a gun shot goes off . Ted falls on the floor . Three men with mask stands in front of me .
