Henry looked at the ink puddle in front of him.
Was the demon finally destroyed?
Was the suffering finally over? Could he finally go home free?
It seemed like it was.
At first, he was relieved. He could finally go home.
But he felt something else. Regret.
Regret over what happened after he left.
Joey went mad, every single worker is dead, or turned into a cartoon copy of his creations, and what happened to the ones who became searchers, or lost ones.
But the most regret he had was his creation.
Bendy himself. Bendy was just a improper clone of his creation, abused by Joey for 30 years, then being corrupted by the ink. And after destroying what was once innocent...it was too much.
Henry began sobbing uncontrollably, not able to hold his guilt over what happened for the 30 years since he left. He fell to his knees, completely overwhelmed with guilt...until a faint groaning noise is heard.
"Ngghhh..."
Something began to shake in the ink puddle where the ink demon was destroyed. A clump of inky goo began forming from the middle, before reforming into someone. Someone small, cartoonish, and pie eyed.
"Ugh...my head...What...what happened? All I remember was touching the ink before blacking out and..."
Bendy shook his head, before looking at his surroundings. "Whoa! What happenedto the studio?!It's all inkyand worn out, like it's been 30 years old!"
Henry couldn't help but laugh at Bendy's comment. Bendy heard him and turned around, then flinched.
"Ahhhh! Don't hurt me!"
Bendy curled up into a ball as he shivered. "Whoa...! Bendy, I'm not going to hurt you."
Bendy looked up, confused. "Wha-? You're not going to hurt me...?"
"Of course...you're my wonderful creation after all," Henry told Bendy calmly, holding his hand to help him up.
It was at that moment that Bendy finally remembered who he was addressing.
"It's...it's Henry Stein..."
He was staring in awe for a moment, then stopped. He remembered what happened those 30 years, how he had become corrupted by the ink and became a monster. And how he almost killed his creator.
"Oh my gosh...I...I acted exactly like Joey...all these years, I was blind to my actions, and I...I..."
Then hecollapsedinto despair. "What the hell have I done?! What the hell have I done to deserve this?!"
He began crying. But Henry didn't leave him. Why? Why are you comforting me? After all I did?!"
"Buddy, don't worry...it doesn'tmatter now. We need to get out of here."
He pattedBendyon the back, and finally after crying and sobbing, the little devil darling smiled.
The newly formed duo began walking toward the exit.
"That's strange." Bendy heard a faint song playing in the distance. "How could there be music in these very abandoned halls?"
"Probably some broken music box. Come on,we are almostat the exit!"
Then a rumbling sound began echoing throughout the halls. "What's going on?!Isn't the machine supposed to be-?"
Then suddenly-
SPLASH!
The duo ran as ink began filling the halls.
"Whatever it is, I'm not doing that!"
Bendy looked back, the ink gaining on them.
"The Ink machine must still be on! The Ink must've gained sentience somehow!"
The ink began forming hands, tryingto grab them as they runback to the end. "Jeez, this is giving me the creeps! I had enough of this ink rebellion!"
Bendy then jumped from Henry's grip before grabbing a can of bacon soup. "Hey, Ink! Take this!"
He threw the can, only for it to be absorbed into theink itself. He turned to Henry with a look of embarrassment. "I expected it to burst on impact. But on second thought, RUN!"
The duo tried to find a place to hide, and Henry noticed a door nearby. "In there!"
With adrenaline running through his veins, Henry kicked the door open before locking himself and Bendy inside. They both sighed with relief. Until...
"My Lord! What are you doing in my safe house?! Has thy lord finally forgiven me?!"
The duo turned around to see a recovered Sammy Lawrence in the room...without hismask.
They screamed in horror before Sammy said:
"So is thy lord going to forgive me or what?"
To be continued...
