Chapter Six: Secrets

"What are you saying?" Arcee asked, unable to keep the surprise from her voice as she moved closer to Wheeljack, arms crossed.

Wheeljack smirked at her. "I'm saying I was the one that attacked that mine."

Arcee was struck speechless as she looked up at him. "How could you do that?" She asked, as Wheeljack sighed.

"Really?" he scoffed. "Firstly they were just a bunch of Vehicons troops, and the mine is Decepticon property. Surely you're not going to be upset over that, are you?"

"You're playing with fire, Wheeljack." Arcee said, by now the sun had gone down, and as she looked up she could see the first few stars appearing in the darkening sky.

"How so?" Wheeljack asked, arching an optic brow at her.

"You're kidding right? If Megatron were to find out that would bring unwanted attention to us. And if you haven't gathered by now things have been tough for us as of late. With Bulkhead down and-"

"You know you don't need to keep bringing that up. I know full well what happened to him. I'm reminded of that every single time I step into the Silo, every time I look at Miko. "So, I thank you very much to stop mentioning it." Wheeljack growled.

Arcee sighed. "And what would Optimus say if he found out?" She continued.

Wheeljack was silent. "Primus, you like to nag, don't you?" He sighed, as he turned his back to her. "Prime won't find out I assure you. As for Megatron, well..." Wheeljack trailed off.

He had to admit like Arcee said he was playing with fire, and it was only a matter of time before the Decepticons grew wise to what the wrecker had been doing, and would come after him and the other Autobots. And if Wheeljack was being honest he almost welcomed it. But at the same time he didn't want the rest of the Autobots suffering because of his actions. He didn't want Bulkhead, nor Miko, or hell though he would never admit it out loud he also didn't want any harm to come to Arcee either.

Even if she was currently being a big pain in his aft.

"Look, nothin' is going to happen, most of the time no one sees me. I'm in and out with no problem." He assured her.

Obviously she wasn't getting through to him, and honestly Arcee was growing tired of this game. She didn't know how much time had passed, but she was certain that Jack was waiting for her to take him home before his mother got worried. Heaving a frustrated sigh she merely shook her head.

"Just...just don't get into too much trouble." She sighed, defeated, as she turned away and walked off, leaving Wheeljack alone once more.

Wheeljack watched as Arcee disappeared back into the base. As she did Wheeljack moved to where his ship was, a dark look etched on his faceplate. No promises. He thought, as he stepped into his ship, and started it up. The wrecker disappearing into the night.

"So, did you and Wheeljack finished your little lovers spat?" Miko asked, the moment Arcee stepped off the elevator.

"You mean our little conversation?" Arcee asked, as she walked passed Miko. The girl following after her. "You can say that."

"And is that all you did?" Miko asked, looking up at Arcee.

"What are you implying?" Arcee asked, stopping in her tracks, and looking down at Miko. Noting the mischievous glint in the girls eyes.

Oh no, what was the girl planning now? Arcee had to wonder. Crouching down to get a better look at the girl. "Listen, Miko," Arcee started. "Whatever you think is going on between me and him well I'm only going to tell you this once. Nothing is going on between us. So, please Miko just drop it." Miko blinked surprised by Arcee's outburst as Arcee straightened, and walked to where Jack was talking with Raf. "C'mon, Jack it's time I got you home."

And with that she transformed, and allowed Jack to gather his things and climb aboard before driving off without another word. Leaving Miko to watch after them. A faint smile on her lips.

Oh, there's something there. Miko thought. And I think I'm going to get to the bottom of things if it's the last thing I do. And with that she turned away, already beginning to cook up a plan to get Team Prime's two lone wolves together.

Authors Notes- And thus concludes Chapter Six. Sorry it's rather short I worked on it after work. I guess you can consider it filler? Never less I hope you enjoyed?
