The next day, all of us went to Barkingburg for a vacation. It was a change of pace from the city. I saw a castle, Big Benji, and lots of houses.
"Wow, look at that," I say as I see a dragon.
"We already know there are dragons," my mom says to me.
"Oh," I didn't know that until now. As we head to the castle, I see a pup taking a crown.
"Alright Busby, let's get out of here," the pup says. She squeaks a toy, and a passage appears. I want to follow her, but I don't want to leave my family. We enter the castle and hear someone worrying.
"The crown is gone!" an old man says. He's the earl, I say to myself.
"Thank goodness the Paw Patrol came, Ryder, My crown is missing!" the girl says. The princess, I say to myself again.
"Did you see who took it?" Ryder asks the Princess.
"No, and they took Sweetie," The Princess says.
"Ryder, I saw a pup with a toy enter a passageway with the crown," I say to him.
"That's Sweetie alright," my dad says. We went outside to where I saw Sweetie enter.
"You sure this is the right place?" my dad asks me.
"It's the right place, I remember," I say. I investigate further. I notice a crack in the wall. "Rocky, do you have any remote parts?" I ask.
"I'll check," Rocky says as he goes to his truck, bringing parts for a remote back. "Don't lose it, reuse it!" he says.
"Great, this should help, now, I just need to get the right frequency, and, done!" I say as I hold a remote. I try it, and the passage opens.
"I didn't know this was here." The Princess says in surprise. We enter it, finding an entire room under the castle.
"Glad you could make it, Paw Patrol," Sweetie says, saying Paw Patrol like it's dirt. I see different tools meant for taking the crown. And then I see it, the crown on a pedestal on the other side of the room. "I built this room to challenge you pups," she says. I had a feeling this was going to hurt a lot. My dad started to move toward the crown, and then a net went onto him.
"One down, seven to go," Sweetie says. Marshall moves next, and then tranquilizer darts hit him, knocking him out.
"Two down, six to go," she says. My mom is next, getting caught in a rolling cage sphere.
"Three down, five to go, and if someone makes it, I'll let everyone go," she says. My paws are glowing again. I zoom across the room, the traps not triggering for a few seconds after I pass them by. I make it to the crown.
"No no no, that wasn't supposed to happen!" Sweetie says in anger. "But fine, I'll let everyone go as I promised," she says as the pups are returned. We take the crown back to the main castle.
The morning after, I found myself waking up in our luxurious vacation house. My bedroom was adorned with a fancy dog bed, an antique bookshelf, and a stunning view of Big Benji. I was even more pleased to discover that I had my very own bathroom. After getting dressed, I decided to take a walk in the nearby forest. As I meandered down the trail, I heard a soft whisper calling out my name.
"Henry," it said, almost in a hushed tone. I looked around but saw nothing. The voice called out again, this time a little louder. I followed the sound, and it led me off the path and deeper into the woods. I marked my starting point before venturing into the unknown.
As I entered a clearing, I saw a Doberman Pinscher dressed in knight's armor, trying to retrieve a golden bone from a stone. He was growling angrily and shouting, "Get out from there, you bone! Why won't you come out!" I had almost forgotten about the clearing, and the sight of the dog in armor caught me off guard. As my attention went back to the clearing, it gave a feeling of peace, calmness, and secrecy, but the Dobermen was ruining the feelings this place gave by shouting at the bone, wanting it to come out.
"Hey! Stop that!" I say to the Dobermen.
"Uh oh, the Paw Patrol found me, RUN! SPARKS, I NEED YOU RIGHT NOW!" he says as a dragon with a saddle shows up. The Dobermen hops on and flies away, using marshmallows to lead the dragon. I looked at the bone, still stuck in its stone. It called my name, but this time, I could hear it clearly. I walk to the bone, standing on the stone.
"Pull me," the bone said. I pulled it, which glowed once I pulled it out. I store it away for now, heading back to the trail. Once I got back to the castle, I saw a boy talking to himself.
"When will Claw get back," he says to himself.
"What are you doing here cousin?" The Princess asks.
"Oh, I'm just waiting for someone to come back here," he says. The Duke of Flappington, I realized. Then an eagle lands on one of the Dukes' shoulders. "Did you find him Jean-Claude," The Duke asks. "Caw," The eagle responds. Then the Dobermen on the dragon shows up.
"Duke, A Paw Patrol pup stopped me from taking the bone, and then the pup took it," he says.
"What did this pup look like?" the Duke asks. I walk in.
"That's him, the pup that took the bone!" the Dobermen says.
"Hand over the bone, or else," the Duke says.
"You mean, this bone," I say as I hold the golden bone.
"That's it, give the bone to ME," the Dobermen says.
"No, give it to me," the Duke says.
"Where did you get the bone to begin with?" the Princess asks me. I tell her about the clearing in the woods. All of us headed there, even the Duke and Claw, that dogs name my parents told me, came along.
"This is where I pulled it," I say as we entered the clearing.
"If this is where I think it is, then the bone you pulled is the legendary Excalabark," The Earl says.
"Wow, now that's cool," Zuma says.
"Neat," Rocky says.
"Our very own Royal Knight," Ryder says. I can handle anything that's thrown at me.
