[Virbank City, Unova]

Lynn and Lincoln were currently in Virbank City, with Lincoln waiting outside a Pokemon League office with his Lycanroc Wolfsbane by his side. He had already taken the U.S. official where they needed to go so they could start the process of meeting people for potential talks about bridging the 2 worlds. Now he was waiting for Lynn who was taking the Pokemon Trainer License Exam. He was happy to be back and excited for 2 different reasons. The first was he was continuing his journey as a Pokemon trainer, the second was because he planned to head straight to the Virbank City Gym after Lynn finished. It had been a few months since he saw her, let alone speak to her. He had missed her on his trip back home, which he originally planned to be permanent, so he couldn't wait to see her. The next ship to get them to the Hoenn Region wouldn't depart until later that night, the 2 siblings had to find a way to kill time until then. What's a better way to kill time than seeing the girl he's been missing for months.

Lynn soon exited the building looking exhausted, but a large smile on her face. "That had to be one of the hardest tests I've ever taken, but I still passed," she shouted tiredly, holding up her trainer license.

"Way to go Lynn" Lincoln said to her happily, holding out a hand for a high five. She returned it, glad to be done with the test. "The next ship that goes to the Hoenn Region doesn't leave until tonight. Then it will be a five to ten day trip, since it's an express trip that will only make stops to refuel and be going as fast as it can."

"Five to ten days?!" The athlete exclaimed in shock. "Can we catch a plane or something to get there faster?"

"This is the fastest way," the experienced trainer replied in a deadpan expression. "Virbank City is a fair size city, but it's not big enough for an airport. Besides this is a port city, with shipping and boats being the biggest economy for the city. Going by plane means traveling to a major city with an airport, which might take the same amount of days. Besides, I doubt I can afford two plane tickets. I don't have a lot of pokedollars on me, and the ship gives trainers a discount because they need to go to different places so often."

"Okay, fine we'll take the ship" the Loud girl agreed with a frustrated pout. "I just want to get there as fast as I can. So what are we going to do until then? Can we at least register for the Gym Challenge?"

"Patience is part of being a trainer Lynn" her brother told her with a smug smile. "Anyways, we can't register until we get to a pokecenter in Hoenn. If we do it here then we'll be registered for the Unova Gym Challenge. As for how to kill time, there's one place I plan on going to no matter what. Since we have to stick together, you're coming with me."

"Where's that?" Lynn asked, confused and surprised at her younger brother's assertiveness. He said nothing and started walking with Wolfsbane, causing her to chase after him. She asked him more questions, but he remained silent. She stopped asking questions and just silently followed him, getting annoyed and frustrated with his silence. After a couple of of minutes of walking, the duo found themselves in front of the Virbank City Gym. It was a fairly large building, a large sign of the Poison Type was above the doors, with a sign saying what it was off to the side of the doors. 'Virbank City Gym? Why does that sound familiar?' The athletic girl thought to herself, before her eyes widened in realization at remembering what was here.

The 2 Royal Woods trainers and Pokemon entered, Lynn was taken aback by what she saw. A large room with a large professional stage against the back wall, the professional battlefield was attached to the stage, 2 large fan pit on both sides of the battlefield, 2 balconies over the the pits with table with chairs behind and a bar for each side, different lights on ceiling, and large speakers mounted to all corners of the room. She saw her brother walk confidently through the place as if he'd done it a million times. As she followed him, her attention was drawn to the stage by a voice.

"Give me a minute, I just have to hook up this speaker" the feminine voice called out. Lynn only then noticed the person on it. It was a teenage girl with white hair that was done up in a spiky ponytail with a purple and blue cherry bobble on top of her head. She wore a loose sky blue dress with magenta-purple stripes over a black vest top and long black boots with teal platforms. She was hunched behind the speaker on the stage with her back to her guests, so she heard them but didn't see them. Once she was done, she turned to greet who she thought was going to be a challenger. "Sorry about that, welcome to-" she immediately stopped at seeing one of the people in front of her. Her eyes widened and tears started to build in the corners of her eyes. Standing in front of her was someone she didn't expect to see again, now that he found a way home. She stood there frozen unable to say anything.

Lincoln on the other hand, the second he saw the tears start to build, he dropped his backpack and tent to run to the girl. Running up to the stage, he wrapped the frozen girl in a tight hug. He buried his face into her shoulder and hair, at that moment he never wanted to let her go. "I missed you so much, my white hair rocker" he whispered, his voice shaky but filled with happiness.

"Are you really here?" She asked in a whisper, her own voice shaky but filled with hope and disbelief. "I'm not dreaming right? You're really here?"

He tightened his hug trying to reassure her that what was real. "I'm here, I found a way to come back" he told her with a soothing voice. Hearing that, she couldn't hold the tears back any longer. She finally returned the hug and cried into his chest. Lincoln said nothing and let her cry while rubbing her back soothingly, enjoying the embrace.

Away from the stage and a few feet away, stood the forgotten Pokemon and Loud girl. Wolfsbane looked at the scene happily, seeing her trainer/father with his mate. Lynn meanwhile stood there awkwardly, not wanting to ruin the moment but also wanting to do something else than watching her brother and girlfriend embracing one another. She looks around the room awkwardly, before finally coughing to get their attention. It worked and both white heads finally noticed her and both gained embarrassed expressions. Wolfsbane was a little annoyed at Lynn ruining the moment, but chuckled at the 2 embarrassed expressions. "Yeah, sorry for interrupting the moment…" Lynn started, not looking at the two. "...But I would like to do something else besides watching you two until we need to get on the boat for Hoenn."

"Sorry about that Lynn" Lincoln apologized, while Roxie tried to recompose herself. "We just got caught up in our own little world." He then started to lead Roxie towards his sister. "Roxie this is my older sister Lynn, and Lynn this is Roxie" he said introducing them to each other. Lynn stuck out a fist for a fist bump, happy to actually meet the girl she and her sisters heard from their brother.

"It's nice to meet you" Roxie returned the gesture, albeit hesitatingly. Just like Lincoln's Pokemon, she too had heard of the many adventures/misadventures of the Loud Family. She wasn't sure if she should trust this girl, but was willing to give her a chance because Lincoln cares for her.

"Same here" Lynn replied with a wide smile. "Me and the rest of the family heard about how you've been helping him for the last year. Everyone else wants to meet you, especially our parents."

"Well, let's move on," Lincoln chuckled nervously. "You're probably wondering how and why we're here. So let's sit down and I can explain." Both girls agreed and all 3 of them went to sit at one of the many tables on one of the balconies. As Lincoln started to explain how he got home and why he was back, Roxie would occasionally bring them nonalcoholic drinks from the bar. So for the next hour or so, Lincoln told of his time back home. Needless to say, she was surprised to hear he was only gone a year over there. Upset and angry at how the other students treated Lincoln at school. Finally happy to hear how much his Pokemon loved him and how far they, and one of his sisters, were willing to go to make him happy. "So now some government officials are going to try to make it so people can travel between worlds. I doubt it happened any time soon. So me and Lynn are going to be trainers and try the Hoenn Gym Challenge."

"That sounds cool and all," Roxie said with a smile, but with a confused expression. "But how are you going to send the letters that your parents wanted? I don't see either of you wearing the clunky watch Linc used to wear, so what are you guys going to do?"

Lynn then started to dig through her backpack, she pulled out a device that looked like a portable game console that had a built-in keyboard. "This is something our sister Lisa built for the both of us" the older Loud sibling replied, handing the device to the rocker gym leader. "She's the one who built the device that brought Lincoln here. She made those gadgets that are connected to her computer back home, so that we can send email to our parents every week."

"It also acts as a return device for when we need to return home for the holidays" Lincoln added in. "It acts like a beacon just like the watch I use to wear."

"I see" the young gym leader said, taken aback by everything their genius 4 year old sister did for them. "Well you still have a few hours before you leave for Hoenn, what are you planning to do until then?"

"Well I was hoping to spend it with you…" the white hair boy replied to her bashfully. "...But I know Lynn probably wants to do something else." Said girl just simply nodded while giving him an impatient look. "So I was thinking we all could walk around Virbank and show Lynn around."

"You just want to spend time with Roxie," Lynn told her brother with a deadpan expression, while Wolfsbane chuckled at him. She loved her brother, but right now she was feeling like a third wheel with how the two acted. "But doesn't she have to stay here to take on any challengers that come by?" Her expression is now becoming confused.

"Well it wouldn't be that bad if I closed the gym for a day" Roxie replied to the older Loud, a large smile appearing on her face. "Any trainers that come by will only wait a day, so there won't be any problems. Besides, I want to spend time with my white hair otherworldly trainer as well." She then grabbed onto one of Lincoln's arms.

'It's going to be a long day' Lynn thought to herself, watching the 2 white hair trainers act lovey dovey.

[Port, Virbank City]

The sun was almost gone from the horizon and the 3 trainers and 1 Pokemon were at the port for travel. The white hair couple showed the athletic Loud around Virbank City, while said athlete walked behind them awkwardly with Wolfsbane. They picked up extra supplies for their trip to Hoenn, which Roxie offered to pay for. They also bought a map of the Hoenn to plan out where to go on the ship. While they did show her around and she had some fun, she still felt awkward like she was interrupting a date. Now it was time for them to board the ship that would take them to Hoenn. "Call me anytime you two need help, I'll do whatever I can" Roxie told the trainers.

"We will," Lincoln replied, giving her a light peck on her lips.

"C'mon Lincoln, let's get going!" Lynn shouted impatiently, already boarding the ship. "I want to go to Hoenn as soon as possible!"

Lincoln just rolled his eyes at his impatient sister with a playful smile. "I'll call you when we reach Hoenn." He gave Roxie one last hug, before joining his sister on the boat. Roxie gave them a wave goodbye before heading back to her home for the day.

The Loud siblings found the room that would be theirs for the trip and started to settle in. It was a decent size room with 2 beds on opposite sides of the room. There was a closet with extra pillows, sheets, and blankets. It had no bathroom, but there was a public bathroom, showers, and laundry room down the hall. "So where exactly is this boat taking us?" Lynn asked, sitting on her bed.

"This boat will take us to Slateport City" Lincoln replied, laying down on his bed opening the map they had bought. "There we can register for the Gym Challenge from a pokecenter. From there we have a few options. We could go north to Mauville City, west to Petalburg City, or catch another boat to the south to go to Dewford Town."

"What do you think? You're the expert here" the red wearing teen asked.

"Honestly I think we should go to Dewford Town first" the white hair trainer replied. He heard his sister groan, but continued on. "It is one of the two closest ones, and if we do it first then we won't need to backtrack later on. After that, we will catch a boat that will take us to a port where we can go either to Petalburg City or Rustboro City. However, before any of that, you'll need to at least catch your first Pokemon."

"Oh yeah, I forgot about that," Lynn said sheepishly. "Do you think I can catch one while traveling to Slateport City?"

"Maybe, but I honestly think you should wait," Lincoln replied. "You'll most likely only catch a Water or Flying Type on this trip. You'll have more options in Hoenn. So I say just relax and enjoy the journey." Lynn nodded and decided to follow her brother's lead, laying down and just relaxing.
