A failure...
That is exactly what Lincoln Loud, the unknown middle child of the loud family felt in that moment after seeing how the people of Royal Woods treated his sisters compared to him. To the citizens of Royal Woods, his sisters were celebrities, while he was a nobody they didn't even notice when they almost trampled him.
Lincoln knew that his sisters were Superstars and he wasn't exactly someone who has done anything worth people asking for selfies.
Lori was skilled when it came to her golf game.
Leni was sure to be the next greatest fashion designer in the world of fashion.
Luna was sure to become a musical legend like Mick Swagger.
Luan was going to become a TV host or something.
Lynn was going to end up being the greatest athlete of her generation.
Lucy would definitely become a mortician.
Lola will definitely become a celebrity.
Lana's skills under the hood will definitely make her Bobby Fletcher's Chief mechanic.
Lisa will become one of the greatest scientific minds in history.
And even Lily was starting to show talent when it came to painting.
But what about him? What was there that made him so special that everyone would think he was special?... nothing!
Sure he's read every Ace Savvy comic twice...And sure he was the fifth best Junior magician in Royal Woods...And his latest history report made everyone feel like they were there at the Declaration of Independence...and he could sing.
But his sisters could do that as well! So what could he do that would make him stand out as he wasn't as good a singer as Luna, Lisa could easily beat him in a history report, Lucy definitely has more skills in the mystics than him...and no one cares that he's read an entire comic book series twice...
He needed to do something Grand! Something that would make him stand out above the rest! He wanted to show everyone in Royal Woods that he was just as good as his sisters.
'But how?'wondered Lincoln, trying to use his man with the plan skills to come up with a way to show everyone that he was just as special as his sisters.
He could try karate again? But that resulted in him having to be taken to the emergency room...
He could try running the Michigan Marathon... the last time he did that he came in last place when everyone else left hours ago...
He could try winning a contest again... but the last time he tried that his sister's almost pulverized him and Christina, his classmate ended up transferring to another class.
"Ahhhh! This is so frustrating!"said Lincoln, before he realized that he arrived at Flip's Food and Fuel.
"Haaaa... maybe a flippy will make me feel betterm."said Lincoln to himself, before he headed into the convenience store / gas station.
There he saw Philip Philippine, AKA Flip once again living off his diet of nacho cheese... by eating it directly from a barrel full of the stuff.
"Hey Flip."said Lincoln, getting the attention of a store owner and Royal Woods' most famous con man.
"Well if it is in Lincoln Log. What can I do you for?"inquired Flip, wondering what the middle child of the log family wanted in his store.
"For the last time it's, Loud."said Lincoln."Anyway, give me a raspberry Flippy."
"Man, you only get those when you're really down. Coming right up."said Flip, before he prepared a cup so he could pour the flippy into it.
Lincoln on the other hand stood at the counter, waiting patiently for his much-needed Flippy. About a minute later he got it, and he gave Flip some dollars he had in his pocket to pay for it.
"Thanks, Flip."said Lincoln, before he headed outside so he can enjoy his flippy on his way home.
"Whatever!"said Flip, before he went back to eating up barrel full of nacho cheese.
"How that man survives that is beyond me."said Lincoln, as Flip should have died from a heart attack years ago if he eats that much nacho cheese consistently.
But then again flip isn't exactly a normal human being considering his heart is in his belly, he consists on a diet of nacho cheese, and he can withstand almost any kind of pain without even flinching.
"Well, I'm going to enjoy this."said Lincoln, who was about to take a sip of his flippy before a raccoon came out of nowhere and stole it from him...
The raccoon then made an inappropriate hand sign before running off.
"Oh come on!"shouted Lincoln, as today just wasn't his day.
"Man, I really needed that Flippy."said Lincoln, who decided to cut his losses and just head home as he's already had enough of a bad day.
And complaining over a flippy being stolen by a raccoon was the last thing he wanted to do... after all, who would believe in a million years that a raccoon came out of nowhere and took his flippy from him?
"Ahhh! I wish there was some wait for me to experience something that would show everyone that I'm special!"shouted Lincoln, hoping that whoever was up there was listening.
But the only thing he got in response was some kind of piece of paper hitting him in the face! This infuriated Lincoln, causing him to turn red with anger as he took the paper off his face. He was about to crumple it up and throw it away, when he saw what it said.
"Check the mailbox?"said Lincoln out loud, as the words check the mailbox was written on the paper in big black letters, likely written by a sharpie marker.
"Hmm... maybe this is a sign from the universe, telling me what to do in order to achieve what I want to do!"said Lincoln, who was a sign person.
He always believed that the universe had some way to tell him what to do, so listening to some mysterious paper telling him to check the mailbox was unexpected, but he decided to go through with it. After all, at this point what did he have to lose.
So without another thought, Lincoln quickly headed home. He ran through a shortcut he knew when passed it without any problem. A few minutes later he was on Franklin Street, and before long, Lincoln was it directly in front of Twelve Sixteen Franklin Ave, or better known to the citizens of Royal Woods as the loud house.
He saw Vanzilla parked in the driveway, indicating that his whole family was home. Lincoln rolled his eyes as he was sure that his family did not know that he wasn't with them when they left the restaurant. After all, he has to constantly remind his mom and dad not to forget Lily. But Lincoln honestly didn't care about that right now as he went over to the mailbox and checked it.
There he saw a small box that appear to have an overdue sign attached to it.
"Huh? The post office should have delivered this month ago... around the time of my 11th birthday."said Lincoln to himself as he grabbed the the box from the mailbox, and saw that it was addressed to him.
Curious, Lincoln went over to the front steps of The Loud House, and sat down. He then grab the box and started ripping it in order to see the contents that were inside. It was his box after all so he had every right to rip it open.
Inside, Lincoln found a plane ticket to someplace called Galar, along with a letter that look like it was written by someone's hand.
That is when Lincoln read the letter out loud.
Dear Lincoln Loud.
I'm not sure if you remember me but my name is Professor Emily Magnolia. I'm an old friend of your grandfather, Leonard Loud. I met you when you were very young, around the time of your first birthday. Your grandfather made me promise to give you something special when you turn eleven. I won't tell you what it is, as you have to come to Galar to get it. Galar is an island off the coast of the United Kingdom, where I currently live. That is why I want you to stay with me for a few months, and I've provided a plane ticket for you to use. It will be good for around a year, so take as much time as you need to properly make your choice. I hope to hear back from you soon.
Sincerely
Professor Emily Magnolia.
"Wow!"said Lincoln, before he looked over at the plane ticket that was still good.
"Hmm... a trip is exactly what I need in order to get out of the doldrums."said Lincoln, before he faced his house.
"Now how exactly am I going to convince mom and dad to send me on a trip by myself? Hmmm...well, I might as well call a family meeting and see where it goes. After everything that has happened today, what do I have to lose?"
With a plan and determination in his mind, Lincoln quickly got up and pulled out his house key. He then unlock the front door and made his way inside. He looked around and saw that no one was in the living room, or in the dining room.
He soon got his answer a few seconds later when he heard commotion in the bathroom. He then quickly figured out that his family was most likely conjoined in the bathroom, either brushing your teeth or doing other things before bed. He then taking a deep breath, as he went near the stairs so he could get his family's attention.
"Family Meeting! Everyone, please come downstairs."said Lincoln in a loud voice, getting the attention of his family in the bathroom.
A few seconds later he heard grumbling and the sound of feet moving as every other member of the loud family started making their way down the stairs.
"What do you want, Lincoln?"inquired Lori, annoyed as Lincoln had interrupted her brushing.
"I'm calling a family meeting, so everyone sit down."said Lincoln, causing everyone to grumble as they headed to their respective seats during a family meeting.
"This better be good Lincoln. I lost count how many times I brush my hair."said Leni, who hated losing count, as every time she brushes too much, she ends up losing some hair.
"Yeah! This better be good!"said Lynn, wondering what Lincoln wanted so badly that he called a family meeting right before everyone's going to go to bed.
"Mom, Dad. Do you know someone by the name of Emily Magnolia?"inquired Lincoln, hoping that his parents would recognize the name.
"Oh, I remember her! She's an old friend of my dad who's a professor or something. She's a really strict lady. But she took care of me and the family when we were having hard times during my younger years, so I owe her a lot."said Lynn Sr, who was familiar with the name.
"Well I just got a letter in the mail saying that she wants me to come to her home to visit. Apparently she's fulfilling a promise that she made with Gramps."said Lincoln, who presented the letter he got in the mail to his parents.
"Wow, this letter is overdue as your birthday was months ago."said Lynn Sr as he read the letter.
"So, what do you want to do?"inquired Rita, who had just finished reading the letter.
"... I want to go visit her..."said Lincoln, causing his family to go silent for a few seconds, before he covered his ears as he knew what was coming next.
"WHAT?!"shouted a majority of the Loud family, including Lily!
"Louds, keep it down!"shouted Mr Grouse, the loud family's next door neighbor from his house.
Lincoln meanwhat uncovered his ears and looked at his family with a serious look. He knew it was now or never as he is already gone this deep, and after everything he experienced today he had nothing to lose by asking his family to send him on a solo trip to an island off the coast of the UK known as Galar. He figured in a long trip is what he needed to find what he was good at, a sort of spiritual trip that the universe was telling him to do.
Now the only obstacle left was to convince his family, especially his parents to let him go!
The only question is would they let him?
[After experiencing more bad luck after accidentally getting kicked out of his father's restaurant, Lincoln sees a sign in the universe that tells him to check the family mailbox, where he finds an overdue letter from an old friend of his grandpa, Leonard Loud. Now Lincoln must convince his family to allow him to go stay with his grandfather's old friend, Professor Emily Magnolia. Will his parents allow him to go? Only time will tell if the journey continues]
[To Be Continued]
Don't forget to vote on who you want Lincoln's starter Pokemon to be.
Grookey
Scorbunny
or
Sobble
The starter Pokemon with the most votes will end up being Lincoln's starter Pokemon, and said starter Pokemon will decide to team going forward.
Also, I will be doing that thing where Lincoln will use different pokeballs for each of his Pokemon. I figure as a first time Pokemon trainer, Lincoln wool want to use different pokeballs, that way he knows what Pokemon he's calling out for battle.
I'm thinking of using a premier Ball, great ball, dusk ball, dive ball, net ball, repeat ball, ultra ball, heal ball, quick ball, etc.
Lincoln will have more than six Pokemon in this story, so don't be afraid to suggest what Pokemon you want to see for his team.
I already have most of his main team already decided, depending on which starter he ends up with.
I won't tell you who those Pokemon are, as I don't give out spoilers.
But I will tell you they're not the Pokemon being used in 'Lincoln's Galar Adventures.'
I want to make the story as different from that one as possible.
Well, I think I said everything I need to say so I hope all of you have a great rest of the day and stay safe out there! I hope to hear from you all again and see you all next time...
PrimusPilus signing off.
