"It's been a while since I last visited here," said Kai, watching Conton City from the sky.

After meeting her mom and Elder Kai, he set out to go to Capsule Corporation. Before that, he went to get some new items and clothes at the Recreation Plaza.

"Hmm...This Yardrat armor looks neat. Should I buy it,though?" thought the Half Saiyan.

He quickly made up his mind and asked the Shop Robot, "How much does this Yardrat armor cost?"

"Only 20,000 Zeni, sir."

"Great! Here." Kai pulled out his wallet and paid for the clothes. The Shop Robot that gave him a capsule that contained the clothes.

"Thank you. Please visit again soon." the Shop Robot said to the Hero of Conton City.

After that, he went to the Transfer Shop Clerk to teleport to a Time Miniature.

Time Miniatures are special devices located on floating platforms that hover above Conton City. They are used to access large Rifts in Time that have begun appearing suddenly. This one, in particular, gives access to Capsule Corporation.

Kai was teleported to a floating platform. In the middle, he can see the Time Miniature and has touched it. His body disappeared as a bright light covered it and dissipated, revealing the famous technology company, Capsule Corporation.

"Hey Mr. Konkon!" The Time Patroller waved at the second eldest of the current generation of Murasaki Brothers.

"Oh, it's you! It's been a while, isn't it?" said Konkon as Kai shakes his hand.

"Yeah, kinda busy in my world. Anyways, did you know where is Mrs. Vegeta? My watch was damaged when Aniki and me fought against Turles and Lord Slug."

"She's inside the bulding." Konkon replied as he pointed out the dome building.

Kai thanked him as he went inside the building. Then, he saw Bulma,who is trying out her new invention on Vegeta inside the gravity chamber.

"Bulma! What did you do?" Vegeta's body dropped to the floor, paralysed.

"I tried to make a paralysing gun using your energy you gave me before." Bulma smirked, proud that her invention worked.

She turned around and see Kai.

"Hey Kai. Long time no see!" Bulma greeted him. She wears a brown long-sleeved button-down shirt with dark green pants, a dark brown vest, and brown gloves

"Hey Mrs. Vegeta. I wonder if you can fix my watch. It kinda damaged after I fought Turles." Kai told her as he showed her the damaged watch.

"Hmm...this only take a half of an hour to fix. " Bulma said while checking the watch.

"HEY!! How long I'll be in this state!!!" yelled Vegeta to his wife.

"The effect should last five minute!! Kai, please take care of my husband while I repair your watch." she said as she walked to her lab.

Kai went to Vegeta, now lying on the floor. He then helped Vegeta sat down on a chair.

"Can't believe that stupid gun could stop me." sighed Vegeta.

"So hey, Mr. Vegeta. I have a question." Kai started a conversation with Vegeta.

"What is it, kid?" asked Vegeta.

"Well, for starters, how did Mr. Goku achieve Super Saiyan 3?" asked Kai.

"I don't know about it, but I had a theory. Kakarot used the same principle as Super Saiyan Grade 3 while maintaining the regular state of Super Saiyan 2." responded Vegeta.

"Can I do it too?"

"I don't recommend it. The Super Saiyan 3 transformation consumes far more energy than even Super Saiyan 2, although it gives the user a massive boost in speed, strength, and endurance. It's good for a short boost in power. But in an extended fight, your energy will be drained before you can even finish your opponent. That's why Kakarot rarely uses that form." Vegeta explained this to the Time Patrol.

"I see. So it's better to just improve Super Saiyan 2..." said Kai to himself, but he still want to try to achieve it. Maybe he could master the form easier using his perfect Ki control.

"Why don't you try to use your weird power?" Vegeta asked him.

Kai doesn't know how to respond. He's been trying to use that power and control it. Shallot, Trunks, Elder Kai, and even Chronoa tried everything to awaken it, but to no avail.

He hates that power. That power is the reason he was targeted as a little boy and caused the deaths of his loved ones.

"I don't know. The first time I use that power... my mind just goes blank. I don't remember anything after it. But it feels like I'm missing something. A..."

"A trigger." Vegeta finished his sentence.

Kai nodded. The conversation stopped for a while until Vegeta stood up, relieved that the paralysing effect had worn off.

"Come on, kid. I've been itching for a quick spar." said Vegeta.

Kai smirked as he followed Vegeta into the gravity chamber.

-Thirty minutes had passed-

Bulma walked out of her lab and said, "It's finished. I also added a protective glass layer to make it more durable than before. Here's your watch. Kai? Vegeta?"

She then heard Vegeta's and Kai's voices coming from the gravity chamber. These two must be in training. Bulma went to the door and pushed a button, opening the door.

"Hey Kai! I've finished fixing your watch. Try it out!" said Bulma. The two stopped fighting as Kai went to Bulma.

"Oh, thanks, Mrs. Vegeta!" He pushed the right button. His clothes changed into his Ancient Saiyan armor like they had before. But that is not all; Bulma had a surprise for him.

Kai said to her, "Neat!" but Bulma told him to click another button on the left button. Kai nodded and clicked.

A long, red, hooded cloak held in place by three silver buckles appeared on top of his armor.

"A red cloak? This looks like..." Kai's sentence was cut short by Bulma.

"Yeah, Giblet. Shallot has told me about his brother. So he asked me if I could make a hood like his that was more durable. I accidentally made two of them, so I thought it'd be better if you had one, right?" explained Bulma.

"Thank you very much, Mrs. Vegeta." Kai smiled and bowed a little. Bulma said that he's too polite.

"Act like a Saiyan warrior, Kai." Vegeta said to the young Saiyan.

"Ehehehe..." Kai just laughed it off, but his scouter was beeping. He pushed the button.

"Yeah, Mom. I'm talking to Mrs. Vegeta here. Huh?" His eyes widened.

Vegeta and Bulma noticed Kai's expression changing.

"I'll be there as fast as I can!" said Kai, his face becoming serious.

Vegeta asked him. "What's the deal?" Kai just replied.

"Mira showed up in Future Trunks timeline! Right now, he's battling Ace, the new recruit, Mr. Gohan, and Trunks. There's no time to explain anymore. Sorry, Mr. Vegeta!"

Kai just said goodbye to both of them as they nodded. Bulma wished him luck.
