Hi, everyone. Sorry it has been so long to update this story with Emma and the Gokaigers. If anything to be honest, I tend to get caught up in one thing and just lose steam or interest as it continues. Also other things like trying to get benefits and medicare for myself cause I'm on the spectrum, though I am high functioning. Anyway, here is the chapter where Joe learns what happens to his friend.

I want to thank everyone who has been patient enough with me and who has favorited and followed this story despite it taking so long to write and finish.

Disclaimer, I don't own any of this. Power Rangers belongs to Hasbro, Super Sentai and Kaizoku Sentai Gokagiers is owned by Toei TV, all I own is the idea, the crossover idea, Emma's power and form as Gokai White, and a season DVD set of Gokaiger.

Chapter 30 – Just a Lone Friend's Soul

"Shall we get started?" Marvelous asked his crew as they stood around Navi.

Doc reminded everyone, "It's been a while since we did a proper one. Do it right, okay?"

Happy to oblige, Navi said their phrase, "Let's Treasure Navigate!"

So everyone watched as Navi hopped from the chair, to the table, to the keyboard before hitting their head on the screen, getting dizzy.

So they began their prophecy, "A lion that specializes in skateboards is approaching….. There you go."

With that, Navi fell to the floor and the crew began to ponder what the prophecy meant. Emma looked at Gai who scratched his head and tried to think on it. She went and picked up Navi as Joe spoke up.

"Can such a lion exist?" He pondered.

"Maybe we should go to the circus?" Luka suggested.

"They may not have what we're looking for." Emma said, sweatdropping.

"What are you all saying?!" Gai exclaimed, smiling as he went to his Sentai Encyclopedia. "A lion that specializes in skateboards? It's gotta be him!"

He opened the encyclopedia to the page of the Liveman, showing the picture of its yellow colored member, explaining, "It's Choujyu Sentai Liveman's Yellow Lion-san!"

"But that was years ago for him." Emma said, looking concerned. "Could he still remember something like that?"

"It's okay." Luka said, reassuring her and brushing off her concern. She picked up Navi, "That's amazing, Navi! You've never pinpointed it so precisely before!"

"I did it." Navi said proudly.

Suddenly Marvelous grabbed him and smiled, proclaiming, "This will be a piece of cake."

"Wait!" Doc shouted, stopping him. "It's too early to celebrate! Gai. Do you know where Yellow Lion is?"

Gai took a moment to think, and shrugged, "I don't."

Emma sighed, as Luka hit him in the shoulder with Navi and Doc shook his head, "I knew it!"

Gai reasoned, "If I knew, we wouldn't need the Navigates."

"I suppose that is true." Emma said, rubbing her hair.

"Indeed." Ahim agreed.

Shrugging, Joe said, "In the end, this will just be another of our usual treasure hunts."

He and Marvelous shared a look as they looked at each other, Marvelous agreeing with his first mate on his statement with his arms crossed.

"For now, we just have to find someone who's good at skateboarding, right?" Marvelous asked Gai, looking at the silver colored member. He smiled, saying, "Let's go!"

So the crew headed out into the city, looking for someone who is good at skateboarding. Emma walked with Joe and Ahim, the two making sure to keep her close so she didn't get lost. While Marvelous, Doc, Luka, and Gai failed in their attempts to find the Liveman, Emma, Ahim, and Joe were still looking. Emma walked with Ahim, holding her hand as they looked around.

"Someone on a skateboard…" Ahim reminded herself. She looked at the other two with her, "I do not see any such person around here."

"No, looks like it." Emma said, looking at her.

"Yeah." Joe agreed, crossing his arms.

They suddenly heard a crash and a young mom gasped as her baby carriage rolled down a stairway, Emma gasped and her, Ahim, and Joe went to help her. As Joe ran down the stair, he caught the carriage with the help of a older man who saw it rolling it. The older man smiled, gently lifting the baby out of the carriage and giving it to its worried, Emma knelt to Joe, "Joe, are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. And the baby's okay." The older man said, having the trio look at him and he looked back surprised.

Walking with him, Ahim was surprised, "So your name is also Joe-san?"

"My name is Oohara Jou." He introduced. "What about you guys?"

"Do we really need to give our names?" Joe said, ready to walk off and annoyed at him.

Jou said, "Why not? They say, 'A connection is made even when our sleeves brush in the street.'"

Emma made a small laugh, but Joe sighed, however they heard a scream and saw people running from a building. Jou ran to the building and Joe, Ahim, and Emma followed him, inside there was a Goumin holding a professional boxer with a new Zanygack general in a green robe, calling himself Zaien.

While Jou was ready to fight, somehow knowing it was Zangyack, Joe stopped him.

"You should get back." Joe told him with a hand on his shoulder.

He watched as the three of them transformed into their default Gokaiger forms, Jou smiled, seeing who they were now. Zaien also noticed them, not being too pleased to see the infamous space pirates he had been hearing about appear. So he summoned a squadron of Goumin to fight them. The three Gokaigers fought the gray colored minions with their Gokai Sabers and Guns.

Jou smiled and went somewhere while the three space pirates fought. Zaian watched while Jou freed the boxer and fought in the ring, showing despite his age, he was adaptive and skilled in fighting.

"Wow," Emma noted in surprise.

"You're pretty good." Joe told him.

"I've had some previous experience." Jou replied to the three pirates.

That statement caused the three Gokaigers to look at each other in confusion. But they turned their attention to Zaian as Joe pointed his Saber at him.

"Damn you!" Zaian cursed. "How are you interfere!"

"Let us use Denjiman." Ahim suggested, bringing out the DenziPink Key.

Emma and Joe nodded, changing into DenziBlue and DenziGreen. The trio jumped into the ring and used the Denzi Punch to fight him, Joe and Ahim combined their punches to knock him out of the ring while Emma noticed something fell from his body.

"I will deal with you another time!" He swore, running off.

"He got away." Joe grumbled as they changed out of their form.

Emma picked up the device that had fallen and Ahim looked curious, "What could this be?"

"Mind if I see?" Jou asked, curiously as he stepped up.

He carefully took the device from Emma's hand and pressed some of the buttons. Ahim and Joe looked at him, curiously.

"Are you able to operate it?" Ahim asked, looking at him.

"Despite my appearance, I'm a scientist." Jou said simply, surprising the trio. He pressed some buttons and they looked at the screen, seeing a familiar figure appear.

"Barizorg?!" Joe whispered in shock.

"Looks like these are blueprints." Jou said, looking at the image.

"Blueprints?" Ahim asked.

"But what would Zangyack want using blueprints of Barizorg?" Emma added.

"Unless, for Barizorg?" Ahim told her as they turned to Joe.

Joe kept quiet as Jou thought and said, "That bastard. I bet he was planning to transform that boxer into this."

While he messed with the device, Joe recalled his mentor and friend before joining the Gokaigers, Sid. Suddenly he spoke, "You… said you're a scientist, right?"

"Yeah." Jou said, looking at him.

"Do you understand these blueprints?" Joe asked. He almost looked desperate as he requested, "Is there a way to restore a person who's been remodeled?!"

"Joe-san?" Ahim asked.

Emma simply reached out to touch his hand. Jou looked at him and looked at the blueprints, thinking for a moment.

"I can't say right now." Jou told him simply. "I'd need to take a closer look at these."

"Please do." Joe said calmly.

Emma and Ahim looked at him, Jou looked at him and said, "Got it. Come with me."

He turned to get out of the ring and leave the building and Joe went to follow him, Emma and Ahim watched him and Emma reached out to him, "Joe?"

"Joe-san!" Ahim shouted.

"Sorry." Joe told them, not looking at them. "Please return without me."

Watching him leave with Jou, Ahim and Emma quietly returned to the Gokai Galleon and explained to the rest of the crew what happened and where Joe was. They were as surprised and shocked to hear what Zangyack was planning.

"Blueprints for Barizorg?" Luka noted.

"I see." Marvelous said calmly. "So that's what Joe is doing."

"Yes….." Emma said, understanding what he was doing but still concerned for him.

Standing at the computer keyboard, Doc turned to everyone and said, "I looked into it. While Emma and Ahim saved the boxer, but many others were taken."

Looking at the images of the other hostages, Marvelous touched Emma's shoulder to comfort her while Gai took notice of the other taken hostages.

"A judo gold medalist and a karate champion." He noted. "They're all really strong people."

"Blueprints for turning people into machines." Ahim said, recalling the device. "And people are being kidnapped. So this is really….."

"Sounds like they want to mass-produce Barizorg." Emma realized.

"But why?" Luka pondered.

Gai shook with anger and said, "I won't let them go through with such a horrible plan!"

Doc tapped at the keyboard, "These are the places where Zangyack appeared. There might be a place nearby where they're keeping the kidnapped people."

"I've got to let Joe-san know!" Gai said, getting his Celluar out.

Emma touched his Celluar and lowered it, shaking her head, Gai looked at her, confused. Marvelous smiled, knowing as well as her what they should do.

"She's right." Marvelous said. "There's no need. Let him do what he wants. At least until he feels satisfied."

Gai was confused but he accepted since the other five members knew Joe longer and better than he did. Emma went to her room and sat on her bed, looking out her window as they waited for the alert. She knew from the Shinkenger meeting, Barizorg was once a human and a close friend of Joe. In a way, he was the one who brought Joe to her and Marvelous.

Emma wondered if it turned out that Barizorg couldn't be turned back, would he be okay? She prayed that he would realize that he still had her and the rest of the crew to come back to. Emma smiled, thinking on all the times he had helped her and how they had become a family with the others. She heard a knock on her door and Ahim told her that they were heading to where the kidnapped people were.

Emma nodded, going with the crew to a cave where Zaien had the other kidnapped males. As he was about ready to change them into copies of Barizorg, he hoped that the wanted space pirates wouldn't appear.

"You're a bit too late!" Marvelous shouted, interrupting him and the grunts.

"We are here to interfere." Ahim said with a smile on her face.

"Remodeling humans…" Luka grumbled. "There should be a limit to such evil!"

So the remaining six space pirates changed into their default form of Gokaiger, all of them using their skills with their Gokai Sabers and Guns. Ahim and Emma freed the captured people, cutting their chains.

"Hurry and run!" Emma encouraged them as they ran out.

Angered, Zaien sent his tendrils to the team and froze them in big blocks of ice. Then the Sugormin fired at them, breaking the ice and they fell to their knees.

"In that case, I will remodel you guys and present you to Warz Gill." Zaien threatened.

Suddenly Joe appeared, jumping in front of his comrades with his Gokai Saber out. The team gasped and smiled to see Joe fighting him. As Joe managed to get him to stumble back, everyone ran to his side.

"Joe." Emma said, smiling behind her helmet.

"Sid-sempai's chargin….." Joe spoke, looking down. "The sadness of the one left behind…. I won't let this tragedy ever happen again!"

With his declaration, Joe changed into his form as Gokai Blue. Marvelous smiled as everyone got into position.

"Shall we make this showy then?!" He suggested.

As the Suogoumin fired, everyone deflected the energy balls and Gai brought out the Sixth Rangers keys, changing into his Gold Mode. Emma ran forward, facing the Sugoumin with him while the others used the Liveman Keys to face Zaien. The other five used the weapons of the Liveman to fight their opponent to knock him back. Deciding to finish up the Sugoumin, Gai performed his Final Wave mixed with Emma using the Gokai Wave.

With the defeat of the Sugoumin, Zaien groaned, "Damn you! How can mere pirates… beat me?!"

Joe stepped up and held his Saber, vowing, "I will finish it with my own hands."

Emma smiled as she watched him step up and slash at the fireballs Zaien would send his way, actually making him scared. Suddenly empowering his Saber, Joe performed a cross slash that destroyed him. Naturally he was regrown and everyone entered their mecha. Emma gripped the two stirring wheels of her shared mech with Gai as they faced Zaien with two Sugomin.

"The word 'defeat' doesn't exist in my dictionary!" He told them.

"Sounds like we need to send him a fresh copy." Emma suggested, making Marvelous laugh.

Joe gave a chuckle and said, "Then I'll engrave it there now!"

The two mechs talked toward the enlarged monster but Zaien had the Sugomin with him fire at the two mechs. However, the two kept moving forward, despite the blast. Suddenly, Emma and Gai watched as the Gokai-Oh suddenly changed into a mecha with a lion on the chest and looked almost similar to the Liveman mecha. Emma groaned as Gai shouted in awe.

"That's Sentai's first combination of multiple robots!" He squealed in delight. "Super Live Robo!"

'Huh, so that's the first Sentai mech combination…..' Emma thought, looking at the Great Power that had formed in front of them.

Watching as it rolled to the enemies, it performed the finisher, the Super Big Burst, destroying the Sugoumin and leaving Zaien left. For him, Joe changed Gokai-Oh into Hurricane Gokai-Oh as Gai changed GoZyuRex into GoZyuJin. With it being two against one, Zaien tried to beat the two robos and wasn't doing well as it was his fists against Hurricane Gokai-Oh's Star and GoZyuJin's drill.

Hurricane Gokai-Oh used the Magi Shuriken first, striking him down then using Furaimaru who multiplied himself and Gai and Emma performed the GoZyu Triple Drill Dream. The combined attack of the mechs finally destroyed Zaien and later that night, Joe was in the crow's nest, thinking on how he could try to help his former friend to at least save his soul.

"Joe?" Emma asked, coming up to the lookout. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah." Joe said, looking at her. "I'm fine."

Emma looked at him and hugged him, Joe was surprised but hugged her back, the two only hearing the soft wind blowing as the ship flew in the sky.

Something a little sweet to end the chapter on, a little hope for Joe to try and save his friend. Though I think we all know that will not end for him or Sid, but one can dream and make alternate universes, right?

Next Chapter, a member of the Ohrangers befriends the team and gets a bit too close to Emma, Basco appears and reveals a new deadly form, the Ohrangers make a deal wtih Basco, the team learns that Basco has stolen more Great Powers.
