Episode starts with the 5 Teen Titans on the ship discussing about what happened.
"So you are saying that after vibrations came out of a certain watch that the enemy has. You don't remember what happened to yourself. Right?" - Cyborg asks.
"Yeah. And considering that you were fighting me and I was found in front of you so suddenly. That can only mean one thing, that watch can brainwash anyone who makes contact with its vibrations." - Nightwing replies.
"So if they have been searching on a device like that, this means……" - Starfire says with a worried face.
"Yeah. Tamaran is in-deep trouble at this point. You need to call your brother and tell them to prepare themselves to fight. We wouldn't be able to reach the destination before them. I'm so sorry for not being able to stop them, Star." - The blue hero responds.
Starfire puts the Titans' communicator in her hand.
An opening starts here.*
Scene shows Blackfire looking at the watch of Manipulation that they have obtained from Vernathia.
Many of the Gordanians are on the ship as well and are ready to attack Tamaran.
"It seems that the day has come finally. Hehehe" - Blackfire says with a smile.
Gine comes out of her room and meets Blackfire with a serious face.
"Blackfire, are you ready?" - Gine asks.
"Yeah. So what is the plan now?" - Blackfire replies.
"It's very simple at this point. I just called three of the most formidable Gordanian warriors to come. They have slightly different features from the normal Gordanian soldiers. They will be of use to us. And if worse comes to worse, we have a trump card as well." - Gine says with a smile.
"What about the Teen Titans?" - Blackfire asks.
"Easy. We'll crush anyone who stands in our way. I'll deal with their leader again. Even though you lost him, he's bound to come on his own to protect his friend's planet after all. So there is nothing complicated at this point, it's either do-or-die. Either we win and you will become the ruler of Tamaran, or we all get crushed at this point. So what do you think?" - Gine responds.
"Hmph. There's no way they can take us at this point." - Blackfire talks with a confident smile.
Blackfire remembers a brief flashback of herself sending Starfire to the Gordanians a year ago after betraying her own hometown.
They are about to reach Tamaran.
In that planet, it seems that the inhabitants have already been warned by Starfire.
The royal palace has Galfore, the ruler of Tamaran. And Wildfire with him.
And the guards are ready to defend their planet at any cost. They know just like the enemy, that a war is about to start.
Luckily, they have managed to know that before they get a surprise attack.
"Wildfire, what are you going to do now?" - Galfore asks.
"I will fight with you. I can't let them attack us any further at this point. This shall be the final battle. If we win this, then Gordanians will no longer try to invade us anymore. Besides that, I have something I want to Blackfire." - The Tamaranean prince replies.
The Tamaraneans fully prepared themselves for the war.
Scene returns to the Gordanians' spaceship and they are about to reach Tamaran.
"Blackfire, I'll let you deal with your family by yourself. I'll take care of the Titans once they reach this planet." - Gine says.
"Sure. But do you think that the Titans told them about our new watch and its mechanics now since Robin is with them now?" - Blackfire replies.
"Hmph. That's not a big deal, we will just knock them out and force them to be affected by it. And it will be easy." - Gine speaks with a smile.
The enemies finally reach the planet. And the Gordanians begin attacking after getting out of the spaceship.
Tamaranean warriors attack back.
Camera switches to the Teen Titans who are rushing with their ship to catch up.
"This is a problem. I'm sorry, Cyborg. But I will have to adjust this ship a little bit." - Nightwing says.
"Huh?" - Cyborg replies while surprised.
The blue hero touches the ship with both of his hands and it glows with blue lightning sparks around it. And its speed significantly increases.
The Titans are shocked by the sheer speed that it was added and they land on Tamaran so suddenly in mere seconds. But the downfall was harsh.
Luckily the ship was intact, they decide to get out of it.
Beast Boy's eyes are turning around.
"Damn. That was really fast." - Beast Boy says.
"This place really became a battlefield now. We must hurry." - Raven says.
Starfire flies first towards the Royal Palace while being worried.
"Starfire….." - Cyborg says.
The blue leader follows her while running.
"We don't have much time Cyborg. Let's go settle this right now." - Nightwing says with a serious face.
The Titans decide to follow while flying. With Beast Boy entering his Pterodactyl form.
Starfire is in the front, and about 6 Gordanian soldiers are in her way.
The blue hero runs next to her.
"You know what we must do right now." - Starfire says.
"Yeah. Let's give it our best." - Nightwing replies.
They both rush at the Gordanians.
Starfire punches one of them, putting it on the ground. It gets up and tries to attack back with its weapon. But she dodges it and shoots a starblast at it.
Nightwing blitzes another soldier and kicks it on its face, putting it in a coma.
A 3rd soldier tries to hit him with his weapon from behind, but the blue hero dodges it and attacks the enemy with his lightning sword, sending the villain flying.
Starfire knocks out the 4th soldier with a kick.
2 soldiers are left.
The blue hero and the Tamaranean princess decide to charge their attacks. Nightwing prepares two fingers in front of him to shoot, and Starfire prepares both her hands to shoot as well.
The last 2 Gordanians decide to rush at the 2 heroes with everything they have.
But they see a blue lightning blast and a green starbolt blast coming towards them. Both blasts merge together in the form of a tornado and create a huge explosion after hitting the target, it can be felt from the royal palace.
Nightwing & Starfire emerge victorious. They move forward.
But they see 3 new Gordanian soldiers in their way again.
But these onces are much bigger in size (around 7 meters tall) and are Golden in color.
"Huh? Were the Gordanians ever golden and this large before?" - Nightwing asks with a surprised face.
"I have never seen ones like these too." - Starfire replies.
The 3 golden soldiers start roaring and rush to attack. The 2 heroes prepare to fight back.
But suddenly, they get hit by Raven, Beast Boy and Cyborg from behind. Cyborg used his Rocket Cannon, Raven shot a dark phoenix and Beast Boy charged in his T-Rex state.
"Starfire. Take Nightwing with you and go to the palace to deal with Blackfire. Quickly." - Raven says.
"Huh. But what about the Gordanians?" - Starfire responds with concern.
"Don't worry. We'll take care of them by ourselves. This seems like the perfect 3 vs 3 battle." - Cyborg replies with a smile.
Nightwing and Starfire look at each other's faces with silence. But they move their heads vertically towards each other to show acceptance.
And they move past the enemies, while having faith to their friends.
Beast Boy, Cyborg and Raven begin fighting.
The blue hero and the Tamaranean princess move to the palace for about a few seconds at super speed, with Starfire flying and the leader running.
But suddenly……
"Starfire, stop." - Nightwing says.
They both stop moving. And they notice that the orange alien, Gine has been waiting for them in that exact location.
"It's nice to meet you directly, Princess Starfire." - Gine says with a smile.
"What are your goals from causing all of this alongside Blackfire?" - Starfire replies with an angry face.
The orange alien smiles.
"Hmm. Well, I have no goal from really causing this destruction. It was just a deal I made with Blackfire." - Gine says.
"Deal?" - Starfire is surprised.
"About a year ago, you were supposed to be brought by the Gordanians as shipment if you remember. But you have managed to escape to Earth on your own. You can say that I am the one who bought at the time." - Gine continues talking.
Starfire is seen grinning.
"So that means……" - Nightwing says with a surprised face.
"Yeah. Blackfire has tried to bring Starfire to my planet for a year. But she has failed. So I just had to step in myself. But once I met you, blue kid. I realized that you may be even more capable than that Tamaranean over there. So I decided to take you in instead." - Gine replies.
"Who are you exactly? And why do you want to capture me now?" - Nightwing asks with a grin.
"My full name is Gine Macford, the princess of Planet Citadel. I planned to take in Princess Starfire at first to make her a powerful warrior for our planet admittedly. But it seems we have met instead. So I think we can settle this. However……." - Gine Macford says while looking at Starfire.
Starfire's eyes are shining with green and is ready to fight. Nightwing brings his lightning swords.
"I don't have any business with you anymore, Starfire. You can pass, Blackfire is in the royal palace already. I think you can fix your family issues with her. I won't interfere, as long as you don't in this battle with that blue kid right there. If you do though, then don't blame if I defend myself……." - Gine adds with a smile.
They are both shocked.
A small flashback taking place about a few minutes ago appears and it shows Blackfire & Gine talking while standing above their big spaceship.
"So I will go to the palace now. The watch is with me. You?" - Blackfire asks.
"I will go take down the blue hero once and for all this time. But I'll let Starfire pass, I think it's time you settle it with her once and for all as sisters. Thoughts?" - Gine replies.
Blackfire stays silent for a moment. But she gives a smile.
"That's fine. But make sure to not lose, Gine Macford." - Blackfire says.
"It's alright. Don't worry about it." - Gine responds.
She jumps from the spaceship to the ground.
Scene switches back to the present with Gine looking at Starfire and Nightwing.
Starfire seems stressed and starts sweating.
"The last time they have fought. Nightie has been defeated by her somehow. I can't let him on his own at this point. But at the same time, I have to reach the palace as quick as possible…. That's a big issue. My only choice is to try to finish her off as fast as possible now. Tch…." - Starfire talks to herself in her head.
However……
"Starfire. You can go. I will deal with her by myself…." - The blue hero says.
"But……" - Starfire is about to reply.
"I know what you are going to say. But please trust me on this one. Besides, you heard what she said. This is between me and her at this point. So please, go quickly. It's now your responsibility to protect your people, Star." - Nightwing responds with a serious face.
They keep looking at each other's faces silently.
Starfire closes her eyes for a while.
"I won't forgive you if you end up being reckless. Please promise me that you will win." - Starfire says with a light voice.
"I promise Star. Go and defeat Blackfire for us, and then I'll do anything you want once we go back to Earth together." - The Blue hero replies with a smile.
They hit each other's hands as a sign of acceptance.
And then Starfire flies past the Citadelian towards the palace.
"Good luck." - Starfire says in her head.
All who are left now are Nightwing & Gine.
"It seems that you two have a really strong bond." - Gine says sarcastically.
"Well, you can say that." - The blue hero replies.
"Heh. Considering the fact that this will be the last time you two will ever meet, it will be an honor to know your name. I already told you mine. Blackfire calls you by 'Robin' but I am pretty sure that's more of an alias" - Gine responds.
"Gine Macford, you said, huh. Fine, my name is Dick Grayson. I am from Earth. My current alias now is 'Nightwing'. And it's my duty to take you down now." - Nightwing speaks with a serious face.
He prepares his lightning swords and a fighting position.
"Ohhh. Your powers are quite interesting. Though it is clear that you haven't fully mastered them yet. I do appreciate your boldness though." - Gine Macford says.
"Huh. This is more than enough to end this fight. It won't end up like last time, Gine." - Nightwing responds with a grin.
"Then give me all what you have." - Gine gives the last words before the fight starts.
They both rush at each other with super speed and clash fists equally.
She stretches her arm to hit the blue hero, but he dodges it. She tries to change its trajectory to hit his left cheek. But he gets out of the way again.
She starts sweating due to his speed, but she accelerates her arms' movements.
The blue hero though manages to get out of her arms' zone. And kicks her hard through her stomach with her super speed, sending her flying towards a few buildings just after shocking her.
She's impressed by his speed. And notices a lightning blast coming towards her, but she manages to dodge it.
"That brat. His moves have really changed. It's as if he has read through my combos." - Gine says in her inner monologue.
The orange alien compresses her right arm to pack a stronger punch, but the blue hero dodges it again.
But this time, she makes her left arm bigger and tries to squash him with it.
"Let's see what you can do against this, Nightwing." - The orange Citadelian says with a smile.
She hits the ground with all her force, creating a shockwave that can be felt from thousands of meters away.
She returns her left arm to its original size.
But she knows that he has gone somewhere and was not hit by her attack somehow.
She keeps searching for him with her eyes. But to no avail.
She punches a building next to her and destroys it. Seeing the blue hero behind it and standing with a smile.
"Huh. Found you" - Gine says to herself.
She hits him with a punch from distance, but it seems that it disappeared in contact, shocking her.
"What the?" - She says with a surprise.
She finds her getting punched straight to the face on her right side, sending her flying to the ground.
She gets up in disbelief.
"Tch. You are relying on illusions then. Huh?" - Gine says.
She reveals that the blue hero created a lightning clone to hide his real self from her so he can hit her.
"You still are hiding that transformation from before. So you don't have to at this point. Give me everything you have." - Nightwing says while remembering their last fight where the orange alien used her Annihilation Mode.
"Heh. Don't regret that request then boy." - Gine responds with a smile.
She brings the Jewel of Exile from her pocket and puts it in her chest, evolving her again into her Annihilation Mode.
But she does not hesitate to punch him by stretching her right arm. The blue hero barely reacts to her and blocks using his electric swords, but he gets sent flying from the force.
He snaps his fingers and teleports behind her, but she slaps his face with the tentacles on her back that she gained from her new form. It sends him crashing through 6 buildings. He is injured but he can still fight.
"Huff huff. As expected, I still can't beat her in this state even after getting used to her movements. Her combat ability rises tremendously due to that gem. I will try one more
attack. But if it doesn't work, then I'd……" - Nightwing says in his inner monologue with a stressed face.
Gine Macford walks towards him.
"Huh. Did you now realize that you can't win this now?" - Gine asks sarcastically.
The blue hero wants to buy some time talking to think about a plan.
"Not really. I am still determined to take you down. But I have something to ask first. When you came to Earth last time and hit my face, how did you manage to know my location from the first place?" - Nightwing questions with a smile.
Nightwing is thinking that the answer won't matter and that she may not even bother replying. He is just trying to win time to initiate his plan. However…….
"Hehehehe. Well, I couldn't find you at first. But someone was really nice enough to tell me your location at the time. You really made enemies for yourself that are even spying on you." - Gine responds with a sarcastic smile.
The blue hero is completely shocked and freezed in his place.
"... what? Who is he? ….." - Nightwing asks with stress.
"Oh yea. He did say that his name is 'Slade'" - Gine Macford replies with an evil smile.
The leader of the Teen Titans is in-disbelief and starts sweating.
He starts remembering the moments where he fought Slade before and even when he was once affected by his mask's gas.
"Whoever he is, you two won't meet each other anymore now. So you can thank me for that when we reach Planet Citadel. Hehe" - Gine says with a smile.
The blue hero stays silent for a while.
"You said 'Slade' then. Huh?" - Nightwing asks with a frightening voice.
"I don't repeat myself twice usually. But yea, he's called 'Slade'..." - Gine says just before getting interrupted.
Nightwing uses all the speed he has to deliver a powerful punch towards her. She blocks it using both of her arms, but it sends her flying to a building.
The blue hero is completely enraged at this point. And Gine is surprised.
"Did I let my guard down or something?" - Gine asks herself.
Nightwing rushes at her with no hesitation and tries to punch her, but she barely dodges it, causing him to hit the building. But the force was so high that it causes the building to be split in half. Gine is shocked again.
"No. His moves have gotten even sharper and faster." - Gine adds.
The blue hero is coated with lightning and his eyes spark with electricity for the first time. He is blinded by rage at this point and wants to win at any cost.
Gine compresses her arm to punch Nightwing in the face point blank.
But this time, the blue hero does not try to dodge, he responds back with a lightning charged fist. They both hit each other's faces which send the other flying.
Gine gets up
"I'm really getting tired of this." - Gine says to herself.
The blue hero teleports behind her to slice her. But Gine dodges and grabs his legs with her tentacles.
She then decides to combo him with all what she has, stretching her arms everywhere and hitting almost every part of his body. This causes a lot of damage to Nightwing who starts screaming from pain.
Then she punches his face hard which sends him flying a mile away. He falls on his back from the sheer force next to an electric pillar and it feels as if he's almost unconscious and defeated.
He starts remembering Slade again and the awful moments he caused to himself and his friends for about 20 seconds.
So he forces himself to get up at any cost.
"Huff, huff. I can't lose this fight no matter what. Huff. Even if it costs me everything." - Nightwing says to himself.
He notices the electric pillar. So he heads towards it and puts his hands on it.
"I'm sorry Star. I may break my promise for you at this point. This may tear a lot of muscles in my body, but I have no other choice. I can't keep up with a monster like her otherwise. Huff huff" - He adds with clear fatigue.
He starts absorbing electric energy from the electric pillar of Tamaran. That causes clear strain on his body as he begins screaming.
At that time, Gine runs towards his location.
"Tch. I have probably went too far with that. But I had no choice, he really began to keep up with my Annihilation Mode. I shouldn't drag this fight any longer. If he becomes too dangerous, then I may go as far as to finish him off. Even though that will be a big loss." - Gine says in her head.
She reaches where the blue hero is. But she notices that he is coated with more lightning than ever before and that he is screaming.
Gine Macford finds out that he is charging himself with electric power to continue fighting.
"Don't think that I will let you do that." - Gine says.
She compresses her arm and stretches her arm to punch. But suddenly, he disappears from her sight immediately which shocks the orange alien.
And she finds a kick immediately at her face putting her on the ground without her being even able to perceive him.
"He's so fast. That fool really is deciding to end himself by doing that." - Gine says with a clear stress on her face.
Nightwing seems to be using a new mode where he is breaking his limitations in it. His body is operating beyond the normal capacity. However, it has negative effects on it and causes it to tear apart. The blue hero has to end it in a minute at most, or he will be finished. He is even visibly huffing in that state.
Gine gets desperate and just begins randomly spamming her arm attacks everywhere, while changing trajectories in-hope it can hit him.
But to no avail, the blue hero just dodges all of them and begins punching her from all directions while turning around her body at speeds faster than light. He keeps hitting her for 20 seconds and then sends her to the sky with a kick. Gine is severely injured from that combo.
"Impossible. Even though he can't stay for long in that state, he's moving way too quickly for me to even do something. At this rate, I will……" - Gine talks to herself with disbelief.
She begins remembering her promise to her father as a kid and her honor.
"No. Defeat is not accepted." - Gine adds.
She prepares her ultimate attack that she used on the Vernathian before. It's do-or-die now.
Nightwing is panting heavily and does not have much left.
But he is shocked seeing the Citadelian preparing a giant punch like that.
"Huh. Let's see what you can do against this now. Nightwing" - Gine says with a smile.
"Damn. My only hope is to stop this attack now." - Nightwing talks to himself with a stressed face.
He prepares an electric blast from his left arm.
Gine releases the compression from her giant fist. And the blue hero shoots his charged blast.
Both attacks clash with each other.
Gine gains the upper hand in the clash, slowly overwhelming Nightwing who is beginning to get desperate.
"Huff huff. I promised to not lose this fight. So….. GET OUTTA MY WAY! HAAAAAAAAAAAA" - Nightwing shouts with a roar.
His blast bursts further and grows stronger, changing the tide of the struggle. Gine herself is shocked by the energy he is emitting.
"Impossible. I can't believe I am getting pushed back like this. No, I can't accept this." - Gine Macford says with visible fear on her face.
The blue hero eventually wins the clash and a huge explosion happens in the sky, that everyone in the battlefield and even in Tamaran can feel it.
Gine begins falling, she reverted back to her normal form. And she has lost consciousness.
Once she falls into the ground, the Jewel of Exile also falls from her chest.
The blue hero is barely breathing and reverts back to his normal form. His eyes are starting to get closed.
"Huff huff. It seems I have kept my promise to you. Now, the rest is on your shoulders. Starfire…." - Nightwing says his last words with a lot of struggle.
He ends up fainting on the ground after an extremely tough battle.
