Sons of Garmadon Episode 9, True Potential ; and ; Sons of Garmadon Episode 10, Big Trouble, Little Ninjago:
The Ninja are on the Bounty, panicking about Lord Garmadon's return:
"This is not good. This is really not good." Cole is pacing back and forth in the bridge, wringing his hands in front of him in a worried way.
"You barely beat them last time." Pixal says.
"And that was when we had the help of the entire police force." Zane points out.
"And now they have Lord Garmadon on their side." Nya adds.
"We have to go to Kryptarium Prison." Lloyd says, standing up with a determined look on his face.
"Okay. We take on Garmadon, Harumi, and her entire gang, while they're fortified in an impenetrable bunker. Not the best idea. Anyone have anything else?" Jay asks, looking up from his own pacing, and as no one says anything he continues, saying sarcastically, "Okay, not all at once. One at a time, please."
"I have to face him. I turned him once. I can turn him again." Lloyd says, walking over to the railing of the Bounty.
"Uh, greenie, that sounds like a really bad idea." Kai says coming up behind Lloyd to rest a hand on his shoulder.
"And Kai knows bad ideas. He's full of them." Cole says, and Kai turns to glare at him while Jay lets out a snort of laughter.
"I agree. It's too dangerous. That's exactly what they want." Zane says.
"And, Lloyd, you heard what the Commissioner said about your father. It's not him anymore." Nya adds.
Lloyd tightens his grip on the railing and says, "We don't know that. I-I have to try."
"I believe in this instance, your past may be clouding your judgment, Lloyd." Zane says.
Jay nods his head in agreement, saying, "Yeah, you're just gonna have to trust us. We need to stay as far away from that place as possible." The others all nod and make noises in agreement.
Then Cole says, "Listen to the Lord of the Jig. He's right on this one." Causing Jay to scoff and glare at Cole for bringing up that nickname again.
Kai tries to figure out what his boyfriend is thinking, but Lloyd's face is turned away from him, preventing this.
Then, unexpectedly Lloyd lets out a sigh of defeat and says, "Okay, then what do we do?"
Kai is suspicious about this sudden change. Lloyd isn't one to give in so easily. Kai wonders what his boyfriend is up to, but Lloyd's facial expressions and body language don't give anything away.
Meanwhile at Kryptarium Prison:
Garmadon is in one of the courtyards of the prison, fighting several of the Sons of Garmadon all at once. Harumi watches from close by.
As Garmadon defeats the last of the gang members, Harumi approaches him, saying, "Good. Your strength has returned. But there's still so much more. All those years, your father and brother kept the truth from you. They were afraid of what you'd become. The blood of both Oni and Dragon flows through you. You have the power to create and destroy."
Garmadon says in a low voice, "Tell me. How?"
Harumi circles Garmadon saying, "As Wu had previously taught the Ninja, you too can unlock your True Potential, a dark potential. But to achieve it, you must overcome the one obstacle that has always stood in your way. The one person who has always held you back."
"My son?" Garmadon asks.
"Yes, Lloyd." Harumai answers.
Garmadon then growls, saying, "Then bring him to me."
Harumi chuckles and tells him, "I won't have to. He will come."
Back on the bridge of the Bounty:
Nya walks onto the empty bridge of the Bounty and checks the map.
"That's odd. Who locked the navigation?" She asks herself.
Then Lloyd walks up to her and says, "Oh, there you are, Nya. The guys wanna talk downstairs."
Nya is focused on the map and says, "Uh, give me a minute. I just have to unlock this."
"It can wait. Pixal has a plan. You're gonna want to hear this." Lloyd says, starting for the stairs.
Nya follows him and as they approach the Ninja's bedroom she says to Lloyd, "I know it's tough to take a backseat on this one."
She expects to hear some form of complaining from Lloyd, so she is surprised when she hears him say, "I get it. We can't be impulsive. We don't want this to spiral into anything worse."
Lloyd opens the door revealing the rest of the Ninja and Pixal.
"Okay, Nya. So what's your plan?" Cole asks as Nya walks in.
Nya is confused, so she says, "My plan? I thought it was Pixal's?"
Then it hits her. With a gasp she turns around to find Lloyd still outside of the room, holding the door with one hand.
With a small smile and guilt written all over his face Lloyd closes and locks the door, trapping Nya and the others inside.
"Lloyd, what are you doing?" Nya yells, banging on the door.
Lloyd has to stand on his tippy toes to look through the porthole into the room, he says, "I'm sorry, Nya. I have to confront him. I have to face him."
Then other voices come from behind the door.
Cole can be heard saying "No, you can't."
Zane says, "It could be a trap."
Jay, agreeing with him says, "Yeah, and hey, we can talk it over. We'll figure it out."
Then Kai's face appears in the window, a pleading look on his face, "Come on, Lloyd. Don't do this."
Lloyd turns away and says with only a hint of regret in his voice, "I'm sorry, Kai. It's something I have to do. Alone."
As Lloyd walks away a clamor of voices can be heard as the Ninja all try and talk at once.
"Lloyd." Nya says at the same time as Jay who says, "Lloyd, stop."
Cole says, "Don't do this, Lloyd!"
Nya says, "Come back Lloyd." But he is already halfway down the hallway and ignores them.
"You don't have to do this." Cole says.
Jay shouts, "What would Wu do?"
"This isn't you." Is Zane's call to Lloyd.
While this is happening Lloyd has made it up onto the bridge and unlocks the navigation, revealing that he has his Ninja Nightcrawler on standby.
With a click of a button Lloyd tells his car to come to him. He waits with a parachute at the railing of the Bounty - clutching a picture of him and his father after his purification in his hand - until the Ninja Nightcrawler comes into view. Then Lloyd jumps off of the Bounty, parachuting down to land in his car. He then sets a course for Kryptarium Prison.
Back on the Bounty the others are still trying to get out of the room until with a grunt of frustration Cole says, "Stand back, guys." And proceeds to break the door down with his earth punch ability.
The Ninja run out to the bridge and look around frantically. Nya and Cole run over to the navigation screen and Cole exclaims, "He's in his car. He's heading towards Kryptarium Prison!"
Nya tries to change Lloyd's course but is met with an error sign, "I-I can't change his course. He's locked the navigation!"
Kai pushes past Nya and stares at the screen before slamming his hand down in anger, "Zane, find a way to override it. We can't let him get there!"
Back with Lloyd:
Lloyd is driving his car down the road to Kryptarium, face set in hard determination. He passes an outcropping where a member of the Sons of Garmadon sits on their bike, watching. As Lloyd passes the biker picks up a radio and says into it, "The Green Ninja is coming. Alone."
In Lloyd's car Nya's face suddenly appears on the dashboard screen, "Don't do this." She says.
With a voice full of unwavering determination Lloyd responds tartly to her, "I'm not in the mood to talk. This ends now."
Then Jay comes onto the screen saying, "No, Lloyd. This doesn't end now. It's a two-way frequency. Come on, buddy."
Lloyd glares at Jay's face before taking one hand off the wheel and punching the screen, cracking, and making it go dark.
"Can't get rid of us that easily." Kai's voice comes over the speakers in the Ninja Nightcrawler.
Lloyd raises his fist up, ready to punch the screen again, but Kai says something that makes him pause, "Look, Lloyd. I get it, you're angry, and you feel that you need to do this alone. But you don't."
Lloyd's voice is shaky and cracks in anger as he responds, "How could you understand, none of you have had to go through this!"
"Yes I have." Is Kai's response, "My parents left Nya and I when we were three and five. I sacrificed my childhood to make sure that she didn't have to. I was running that blacksmith shop when I was barely ten!" There is a pause before Kai continues, "When Krux told me that my parents were traitors I was furious. Not just with him, but with them as well. I kept asking myself what it meant for Nya and I. Were we destined to be traitors just like them? Was it in our blood? Would I one day betray you? And when I finally found them I let all that anger loose on them. I didn't stop and think about what I was doing, I let my anger takeover and very nearly killed my father. It took my mother and Nya to snap me out of it and tell me the truth. That Krux lied."
"Why are you telling me all this right now?" Lloyd says angrily, eyes still focused on the road ahead of him.
"Because I can hear it in your voice, can see it in your eyes. You're angry, Lloyd. Angry at Harumi, angry at your father, angry at yourself. Trust me greenie, going to face him alone won't do anything, it will only lead to more conflict and pain. And I know you will regret this choice." Another pause before in a more desperate, pleading voice Kai continues, "Please, just turn around and come back. Let us work out a battle plan. Figure out how to fight him, together."
"I-I'm sorry Kai, but I can't turn back now. I know I can get through to him. I did it once, I can do it again." With that, Lloyd punches the screen till the whole dashboard turns black.
On the Bounty:
"Lloyd, wait!" Kai shouts at the screen in front of him, gripping the edge of the control board so tightly his knuckles are turning white. But the connection has already been cut, static filling the bridge as the Ninja stand in front of navigation, watching Lloyd's tracker move steadily down the road towards Kryptarium Prison.
Kai whips around and locks eyes with Zane as he shouts, "Zane, we need to get this navigation unlocked, NOW!"
"Already working on it." Nya's voice comes from Kai's right, and he turns to find her fiercely tapping away at the controls while mumbling to herself, "Shit, he activated code Alpha Green Master… five layers of firewalls… maybe if I… no, not that…"
Zane comes up next to Nya and says, "Let me try."
Nya reluctantly moves over to let Zane take her place. Zane stretches his hands out in front of him, flexing his fingers twice before dropping them down to the control board. And with inhuman speed, starts pressing buttons and typing in commands to try and bypass Lloyd's master lock on the Bounty's navigation system.
For ten minutes Zane's hands continue to fly all over the control board, turning into white blurs as he increases his speed even more. Until finally with a loud chime, the navigation screen flashes green, indicating that it has successfully been unlocked.
Shaking his hands out to relieve the stiffness in them, Zane says with satisfaction, "Ah, that should do it. We've regained control of navigation."
Suddenly the screen goes black, causing Zane to frown and reach for the control board again. But before he can press anything the screen lights up to show a video of Lloyd walking down the corridors of Kryptarium Prison, arms up and in a defensive position.
"Hey, what's with Lloyd being on the TV?" Cole asks, pointing to the screen.
"I do not know, I will attempt to override the feed an-" Zane starts saying, but is cut off as Kai shoves past him, getting as close to the screen as he can possibly get.
After a moment Kai inhales sharply and says, "Harumi. She wants us to watch."
They see Lloyd walk into the main cell block, and whip around when the door closes, trapping him inside.
The Ninja can't hear anything, but something causes Lloyd to drop into the stance that allows him to activate his powers. Rotating his hands and arms in an outwards spiral from his chest, Lloyd's green energy comes into view as he says, "Show yourself, Father!" The Ninja's communicators only allow them to hear what Lloyd is saying.
Lloyd suddenly spins around on screen and the camera swaps angles to show what he is looking at.
It is Garmadon.
But not the Garmadon that the NInja remember. This Garmadon is tall and has black skin. He is wearing an armor chest piece that looks to be custom made to accommodate his four arms. Atop his head is a helmet that curves at the edges. There is a gaping hole in Garmadon's chest piece, as if something had blasted a hole through it. But instead of seeing his dark skin underneath, the Ninja can see right to his ribs, a startling white against all the black, with a weird purple liquid smeared across them.
Lloyd and Garmadon stare at each other until Garmadon can be seen saying something to Lloyd, who in turn says, "So have you." He then deactivates his powers before continuing, "I don't want to have to fight you."
Garmadon choses that moment to charge at Lloyd, yelling loud enough to be faintly heard over the comms. On screen Lloyd barely manages to flip backwards and jump up onto the second level of cells before Garmadon's fists strike where he was only a second ago.
The Ninja can hear the desperation in Lloyd's voice as he says, "Please, this isn't you." Garmadon says something back to him, then he draws all four of his arms to his side and starts to manifest a dark purple power orb between them.
The camera angle swaps again to show Lloyd's face, an expression of shock and something else on it. In a soft voice, barely registable on the comms, Lloyd says, "You have power." He doesn't have a chance to say anything else before Garmadon releases the orb and sends it straight at him. Lloyd is forced to jump up to the next level to avoid the blast. Garmadon fires off more blasts at him and Lloyd jumps up again and then launches himself off of the fourth level, flipping over Garmadon's head and landing behind him.
Then, as Garmadon turns around, Lloyd says to him, "I didn't come to fight you. My father is somewhere in there. I've saved you once. I'll save you again."
When Lloyd finishes speaking, Garmadon shouts something and charges straight at Lloyd. Lloyd's face is in a twisted expression of hurt and disbelief. He tries to summon his powers, but before he can he is forced to jump out of the way as Garmadon punches the guard observation tower that is in the center of the cell block.
Then, Garmadon turns on him and starts firing off blast after blast while all Lloyd can do is keep up his energy shields and wait for him to stop. Garmadon is talking to him all the while. Eventually Lloyd is pushed backwards into the steps leading up to some cells. He sees his chance as Garmadon pauses to charge up his powers again, and manages to leap out of the way when a huge blast is finally fired, missing him and hitting the wall instead, cracking it.
Back with the Ninja:
While all this is going on the Ninja are desperately trying to set a course for Kryptarium and get there in time to back Lloyd up.
Kai is at the wheel of the Bounty and barks out orders left and right, occasionally stealing glances back at the screen, his hands clenching tighter and tighter around the wheel as he sees the fight between his boyfriend and Garmadon start to get more and more dangerous.
When Lloyd says that he could save Garmadon again, Kai digs his fingernails into the wood of the wheel and mentally shouts, It's not him Lloyd! Can't you see it? You can't save him!
With a real shout Kai says, "Get us there!" Not particularly directed at any one of the other Ninja. There is a clamoring of voices behind him and Kai turns slightly to see what is going on. He can see Cole and Jay looking at something on the screen while Nya, Zane, and Pixal fiddle with controls, trying to get every last bit of speed out of the flying ship that they could.
Kai's eyes dart over to the screen. He can see Lloyd and Garmadon fighting fist to fist, blocking and countering each other's attacks. Lloyd is talking to him, saying something about Harumi using him as a pawn. Then, suddenly Garmadon disappears. Lloyd spins around, searching for him, tensed up and slowly starting to bring some of his powers into view. But then, Garmadon drops down from somewhere up high and grabs Lloyd by his gi collar, holding him up in the air.
Kai lets go of the wheel and Pixal takes it as Kai pushes his way past Cole and Jay to stand in front of the screen again.
Lloyd gasps in surprise, holding onto Garmadon's hand that is holding him. But then he drops his hands down to his sides and says in a quiet voice, "You wouldn't hurt me. Your son."
Kai could see the hope that was flickering in Lloyd's eyes go out with Garmadon's next words. Since he is so close to Lloyd the Ninja could clearly hear Garmadon say with no hesitation in a deep, cold voice, "I have no son."
The expression on Lloyd's face is one of pure shock and fear, his breath coming out short and heavy. Then Garmadon does something that makes Kai's blood boil and his eyes turn red in anger. Garmadon spins Lloyd around before launching him at a hole in the wall, - made from a blast of his dark powers - Lloyd's speed and momentum shoot him through three walls - his green energy shining briefly with each impact - eventually causing him to go flying outside of the prison, an expression of terror on his face.
Lloyd lands face down in the sand surrounding Kryptarium, and lays there for a few agonizing minutes, causing Kai to fear that Garmadon has knocked him out, or worse. But then Lloyd moves a hand and Kai lets out a breath he didn't know he had been holding. Lloyd slowly drags himself across the sand, igniting fury inside of Kai as he sees how hard it is for Lloyd to do just that, and how ragged and faint his breaths are coming out over the comms. Lloyd manages to make it to a small rise in the sand before passing out with a quiet, " ...Father" coming from his lips.
Kai snarls and runs back to the wheel, pressing the turbo boost and causing the entire Bounty to roket forward, doubling their speed.

When they finally arrive at Kryptarium Zane turns on the Bounty's searchlights, and great beams of lights sweep the ground, searching for Lloyd.
Kai is also at the railing, searching every rise in the sand for his boyfriend.
"I found him!"
Kai's head whips around so fast it is a miracle that he doesn't get whiplash from it. His piercing amber eyes land on Jay who is pointing down off the starboard side of the Bounty.
"Drop the anchor, Nya. And Pixal, grab the gurney, he's in– uh, we're gonna need it." Zane takes control of the situation, refraining from saying exactly how bad Lloyd's injuries are. Zane looks at Kai's face and then turns to Cole and says, "Cole, take Kai below deck and keep him away from the med bay, he doesn't need to see Lloyd like this." Cole nodes his head and approaches Kai, gently taking ahold of his shoulders and guiding him down the stairs towards the Ninja's bedroom. He is met by no resistance from the red ninja until Pixal runs past with the gurney.
Then it's like a switch is flipped in his head and suddenly Cole is attempting to hold onto a red hot rock. Quite literally. Kai is thrashing in Cole's grip and attempting to turn around and go back to the bridge. But Cole holds onto him tightly and even uses his super strength to keep Kai's arms firmly pinned to his sides. But then they hear the sound of the anchor chain being drawn up, along with the muffled sound of many voices talking all at once.
Cole looks up for only a split second, but it's enough time for Kai to draw his feet up under himself and kick Cole in the stomach. Cole's reflexes cause him to let go of Kai's arms and bend over with a gasp. Kai uses this moment to jump over Cole's head and run down the hall.
Kai's momentum almost carries him beyond the med bay, but he firmly plants a foot on the wooden boards and turns just before sliding past the door. He charges inside then skids to a halt, eyes wide in shock as he takes in what is in front of him.
In the center of the room is a medical bed, surrounded by Zane, Pixal, and Nya - Jay is piloting the Bounty -. Laying on the bed is Lloyd, or at least Kai thinks it is him. It is hard to tell with the others crowded so tightly around the bed. But then as Pixal reaches for something, a gap opens up for a second. And in that second, Kai catches a glimpse of green, and more concerning, red.
Nya seems to sense him and she glances behind her to find her brother standing there with a look of fear on his face. With a sigh Nya touches Zane's shoulder and motions for him to step aside, giving Kai room to approach Lloyd.
Kai is trembling as he walks up to the side of the bed where Lloyd lay. The fire ninja is uncharacteristically quiet as he takes in the sight before him.
Lloyd's gi is ripped and burned, with a large section of it completely torn off, revealing his skin beneath. That skin is covered in cuts and still darkening bruises. Some of the bigger cuts and gashes have bandages or stitches on them, but the majority of them are still uncovered and bleeding, with small trails of blood running down his chest and arm. And Lloyd's usually light - almost white - blond hair is matted and covered in dust and blood, with bits of drywall and sand in it, making it appear almost completely brown. Kai is having a hard time remembering to breathe as he sees the state of his lover. What Garmadon did to him is cruel and unforgivable. But the worst thing is what happened to his face. There is so much blood that it is hard to make out where exactly it's coming from. Sand and dirt is mixed in with the blood. Lloyd's nose is definitely broken, and there is a deep purple bruise forming over one of his eyes.
Kai can't believe what Garmadon has done. He raises a still shaking hand and gently traces one of the many scars that Lloyd already has from old battles, specifically his possession by Morro. Kai wondered how many more Lloyd would get from this. His eyes tear up as he thinks about all Lloyd has gone through in his life, and how much trauma he has from it. Kai is trying very hard not to cry, but a choked sob slips out of his lips before he can stop it. He forces himself to step away so that Pixal and Zane can continue their work. Kai's steps are staggered as he backs away, swaying as if he might fall down at any minute. He somehow manages to make it to the Ninja's bedroom where he stumbles over to his bed, but instead of sitting on it he slides to the ground and sits there with his arms wrapped around his legs and his head on top of them.
After a time, Nya comes in and sits next to Kai, putting an arm around his shoulder and pulls him closer to her. Kai leans up against his sister and fights to keep his tears at bay, but it isn't long before his wall breaks and the tears finally start to fall. Nya says nothing and just holds her brother tighter, ignoring his shaking shoulders and the wet marks on his gi.

At some point Kai falls asleep because when he opens his eyes Nya is gone and he is in his bed. Kai rolls over, only to come face to face with Pixal.
"Gah!" He shouts, sitting up quickly, and in the process, banging his head on the bed above him. Rubbing his now throbbing head Kai snaps out, "What the hell Pixal!?"
Pixal just looks at him with a calm expression and says, "My apologies Kai, I did not mean to frighten you. I merely wanted to tell you that we will be arriving at Mystake's Tea Shop soon."
"Mystake's Tea Shop? What for?" Kai asks, tilting his head in confusion.
"Misako said to take him there, Mystake could possibly have a tea that will heal Lloyd." Pixal says.
At the mention of Lloyd Kai's eyes widen and he scrambles to get out of bed. But his legs somehow get tangled up in the sheets and he ends up falling unceremoniously off his bed and onto the ground with a loud Ow!
Untangling himself from the claws of his sheets, Kai stands up and asks Pixal how Lloyd is. The expression on the Samurai's face is all Kai needs to see to know that something has happened.
"What happened." Kai says in a low voice, tinged with fear.
"Nothing, it's just…" Pixal starts, but trails off, looking away from Kai's eyes.
"Just, what? Spill it Pix." Kai demands.
"Mystake must have some powerful tea if Misako thinks she can help Lloyd." Pixal finishes quietly.
"Attention everyone. We've arrived at Mystake's Tea Shop. Please make your way to the bridge." Zane's voice comes out over the Bounty's intercom, preventing Kai from asking anymore questions about Lloyd.
Instead, Kai runs out of the room and heads up to the bridge to find everyone else. When he gets there everyone but Pixal, Cole, and of course Lloyd are there. Kai wonders how they are going to transport Lloyd off the Bounty, eventually deciding to go figure it out down in the med bay.
As he approaches the doorway he can hear voices coming from inside. Rounding the corner he sees Pixal and Cole. Cole is standing by the bed and Pixal is flitting around him, saying so many different things at once that it is hard to follow exactly what she's talking about. Then Kai sees Cole stoop down and start to lift Lloyd up off the bed. This is when Kai decides to make his presence known as he clears his throat loudly to get their attention. They both simultaneously turn to face him.
"I'll be taking Lloyd." Kai says, walking up to Cole and glaring at him until the earth elemental lowers Lloyd back down and backs away with his hands up and an apologetic look on his face.
"But Cole is the strongest out of us all, so logicly he is the best choice to tra-" Pixal starts to protest, but one glare from Kai gets her to stop talking and get out of the fire master's way.
Kai gently slides one arm under Lloyd's neck and the other under his knees, picking him up bridal style. Lloyd has always been one of the lightest Ninja on the team (rivaled only by Jay), so picking him up is no struggle for Kai, who then turns and walks out of the med bay with his lover in his arms.

Walking into Mystake's Tea Shop Kai can see that the counter has been cleared off, but Mystake herself is nowhere to be found.
Behind Kai the other Ninja burst into the shop, panting from running after the determined red ninja.
"Mystake! Where are you!" Kai shouts, impatiently tapping his foot on the ground.
"Kai! Yelling will get us nowhere. We need to be patient." Nya reprimands her brother, smacking him on the back of his head.
"We don't have the time to be patient, Lloyd needs help now! MYSTAKE, GET OUT HERE!" Kai yells at the back room, eyes flickering from amber to red with anger.
"KAI! Calm down! Your powers are going to burn Lloyd!" Jay points to the smoke starting to come off the fire elemental.
"Maybe it would be safer if I hold Lloyd, Kai." Zane says, stepping over to Kai with his arms out, ready to take Lloyd.
Kai growls but forces himself to hand over Lloyd to Zane, so as to not hurt his boyfriend anymore. Once he sees that Zane has Lloyd safe and secure in his arms, Kai allows himself to succumb to his anger. His eyes turn pure red and his skin starts to glow a deep dark red. Anyone that tries to touch him now will be scarred with a third degree burn.
Kai starts to walk over to the counter, ready to barge into the back room and find Mystake. But before he can go anywhere a giant ball of water is dropped on his head, effectively extinguishing his flames and breaking his concentration. Kai turns around to glare at his sister who hits him with another stream of water, just for good measure.
As Kai is about to strangle his sister, a loud ahem comes from behind him.
The Ninja all turn their heads toward the counter where a certain elderly woman in a straw hat is standing, glaring daggers at everyone.
"Can I help you, or are you youngsters just gonna keep making a racket." She says, starting off sweetly but then fading to an annoyed tone.
"Mystake, there you are." Cole says, stepping forward to greet her.
"Ah, the Ninja, to what do I owe the pleasure?" Mystake asks.
Just then Lloyd shifts in Zane's arms and lets out a pained groan.
Immediately Kai darts over and tries to take Lloyd back from Zane, but Zane keeps a firm grip on the green ninja and instead, shoulders Kai aside and says to Mystake, "I'm afraid our reason to visit today isn't pleasant."
"Ah, I see, come come, place him here." She says, gesturing to the empty counter in front of her.
Zane steps up and tries to gently lay Lloyd down, but despite his robotic precision Lloyd still flinches and weakly cries out in pain.
Mystake examines him for a few minutes before turning to the Ninja and asking, "Who did this to him?"
"It was Garmadon." Kai growls out, hands clenched in fists.
"He blasted Lloyd repeatedly with some sort of dark power, not to mention threw him through three solid concrete walls of Kryptarium Prison." Jay elaborates.
Mystake turns back to Lloyd, taping her chin thoughtfully, "Hmm, I know just the thing!" With no further explanation she walks through the bead curtain into the back room of the tea shop.
While they wait for Mystake to get whatever she was getting Zane checks Lloyd's condition. But as he does so, Lloyd starts to twitch and whimper in pain.
"Oh. I c—There's—He's too-He's too much. I can't—please." Lloyd cries out, eyes flicking back and forth under his eyelids and his head turning from side to side, as if he is trying to run from something.
Jay presses the back of one of his hands to Lloyd's forehead and exclaims, "Hurry! He's burning up!"
Mystake walks out of the back room with a cup of tea in her hands, "You cannot hurry tea. Only have patience to get it right." After a moment she looks down at the tea and says, "It is ready."
Cole asks, "Is it going to make him better?"
"It will heal his wounds, but…" Mystake replies, trailing off at the end.
"But what?" Nya asks.
Kai pinches the bridge of his nose and grumbles, "There's always a 'but.'"
Mystake continues, saying, "It comes with a price."
Zane looks at the others and everyone nods, so he says, "Whatever it is, we will pay it."
Mystake waves a hand at them, and says, "I will take no coin for this. I speak of a price for you and your friend." She gestures to Lloyd as she continues, "Each of you must lay your hand upon him. The tea will focus your Elemental Powers to save him. But it may use up all the power you have left."
"Are you telling me to save him, we could lose our powers?" Jay asks.
Mystake shrugs, "Perhaps. Perhaps not."
Without hesitation Kai says, "I don't care, do it."
But then Cole jumps in, saying, "Wait! You don't just jump into decisions like this. I mean—"
Zane cuts Cole off, "The decision needs to be unanimous." He places a hand on Lloyd, stating, "I will give up my power to save Lloyd."
"Me too." Jay says, putting his hand on Lloyd.
"It's not even a choice." Kai adds, resting his own hand on his boyfriend's shoulder, and then glares at Cole who looks away in shame before placing his hand on Lloyd along with Nya.
Mystake then feeds Lloyd the tea. Each of the Ninja's hands start to glow with their elemental power's color. Then Lloyd's eyes shoot open, glowing a bright green and his mouth falls open with a loud gasp. He raises up off the counter an inch or so before falling down as the color in his eyes fades and the Ninja's hands stop glowing.
"Now what?" Nya asks.
"Now we wait." Mystake says to the Ninja before walking into the back room once again.
After about five hours:
The Ninja are still in Mystake's Tea Shop, watching over Lloyd who is passed out on the counter. Kai is sitting by Lloyd, gently stroking his hair.
Mystake is still in the back room, humming and making something.
Jay looks at her and then says in an annoyed voice, "Ugh. What possibly could be so important that you have to do that now?"
Mystake replies, "Just a little something— heh, heh, heh, to go." She then walks out with a small bag of tea in her hand.
Cole takes one look at it and exclaims, "What is this, takeout?"
Mystake hands Jay the tea and tells him, "For your time of need. Remember, to go."
"To go." Jay repeats, then laughs nervously.
Mystake quietly whispers, "To go." before walking back into the back room.
Suddenly there is a loud crash in the distance and the whole shop rumbles and shakes.
"What is that?!" Cole exclaims.
The Ninja all run outside and see crowds of people running down the street. Kai grabs a man by the arm and says, "What is it? What happened?"
The man says in a scared voice, "If you see it, run!" before running away himself.
There is another crash, this time much closer to them.
"What could do that?" Jay asks.
"Only a being of great size." Zane answers. Then they see a whole building fall down only a few blocks away.
Cole starts running towards the fallen building, shouting over his shoulder at the other Ninja, "Come on!"
Kai looks back at the tea shop and asks, "What about Lloyd?"
"Looks like it's just us five." Jay says, starting after Cole.
Then Pixal flies in on her mech saying, "Don't forget me."
Kai looks at the other Ninja, and then back at the tea shop again, a conflicted look on his face. Nya sees him looking and says to him, "You guys go. I'll keep watch over him."
"But… I'm his boyfriend, I should be with him." Kai protests. But Nya just shakes her head and says, "You're needed more with the others to find out what is making that noise. Don't worry, I'll make sure he's safe."
Kai nods to his sister and says, "You better, I don't think I can handle anything else happening to him."
Then he runs off to catch up with the other Ninja, thinking all the while about Lloyd. Hoping that he will be ok. Praying that the tea worked.

A/N: OMG, that took so long and is one of the longest things I have ever written! 6,276 words! I hadn't intended for it to be this long, but I love it! I remember I was so mad that the writers made Kai be the one to be like 'wait are we sure we should give up our powers?' Like come on! Kai and Lloyd are brothers! (To me they are totally together, but in the show they are basically brothers.) He should have been the first person to volunteer! Not the last one. And I'm sorry to all the Cole fans that Cole ended up being the one to hesitate, but I felt like there still needed to be someone that did and he was the one that I ended up swapping his lines with Kai's. I feel like I definitely ended off at a weird spot, but if I had continued then the story would have just gone on and on and on. And I'm already posting this later than I wanted to. I really hope you enjoyed reading this, I had an amazing time writing it.
