"Andrew, it's a bad idea. Just wait for us!" Andrew heard Dayla speak, but he ignored it and began to continue to follow after him.
"Andrew, listen and wait for back-up." Agent Vincent ordered, but once again, Andrew ignored them and continued to follow after him.
"Andrew! Andrew!" Tucker tried again, but they watched as Andrew left. "Darn it! Guys, you'll have to go after him."
Paulina and Dayla immediately left the building and began to try and find Andrew.
Andrew watched as the man glanced behind him, but then looked away. Andrew knew he must've noticed him, but that wasn't what seemed to be on his mind right now. Ever since they had discovered that Mundus Accendo was involved, he had been feeling this anger and hatred rise and also, the need for some kind of vengeance.
The man suddenly sped up and then began to run. Andrew broke out into a run and chased after him until he finally caught up with him, down an empty alleyway.
Andrew pulled out his blaster and demanded, "Stop right there! There's no way out of this!"
The man froze and said nothing at first, but then said, "Listen to me boy, you have no idea what you and your friends are up against. Things aren't what they seem. Just let me be on my way."
Andrew tightened his grip on his weapon and sneered, "Ain't gonna happen."
He then charged at the guy and without hesitating, punched him right in the face and knocked him unconscious. He then stood over the guy and held his blaster at him, his finger hovering over the trigger.
Just when it seemed that he was going to pull it, Dayla and Paulina finally caught up. Dayla then shouted, "Andrew!"
Andrew snapped out of his trance and turned his head to his girlfriend who had called his name. He then said, "Creepy thin man has been caught. Now we can get some more answers."
Vincent and Tucker had finally arrived. Vincent then got out of the car and grabbed Andrew by the collar of his shirt and held him against the wall.
"What were you thinking?! Do you understand what kind of danger you put yourself in or even you just nearly blew our mission?!" Vincent snapped, disappointed by how Andrew handled this. "If you had waited like we told you to, we would've had a back-up team waiting and ready to snatch him up."
Andrew managed to wriggle out of the grip and said, "At least I caught him."
Vincent was about to snap again, when Dayla cut in, "Look Agent Vincent, I don't like what Andrew did either, but he also makes a point. We can get some answers from him, maybe even discover where Mundus Accendo are hiding."
Vincent looked between Dayla and Andrew and then sighed. He turned the man around on his back and began to do a search on him, to ensure he didn't have any weapons on him. Although no weapons could be found, he did find a USB.
He handed it to Tucker who immediately plugged it into his computer. He opened it up and his eyes widened at what he found.
"Guys…..this guy has files on not just Mundus Accendo, but something else. He has the original report of Andrew's father's death." Tucker said.
Before they headed back inside the main FBI building, Dayla pulled Andrew aside and asked, "Andrew, if there was something going on with you, you'd tell me right?"
"Yes of course." Andrew answered.
"Then why did you go after creepy thin man on your own? And what was that back there with the blaster?" She asked.
"As I said, I couldn't let him get away again and second...I don't know." Andrew answered and then went inside the building.
Paulina walked up to Dayla and asked, "Everything alright?"
"To be honest Paulina, I'm really worried about him. I could...feel his energy. There was anger rising there." Dayla answered.
A few hours later, the man woke up in an interrogation room. His hands were handcuffed to the table. Dayla, Andrew and Paulina were watching from behind the glass. Tucker had to head back, but was constantly keeping an eye on his computer to report anything he finds.
Agent Vincent entered the room and sat down before the man. He then asked, "So…..Team Phantom have dubbed you Creepy Thin Man. Is that your real name or do prefer something else?"
The man said nothing and just looked at Agent Vincent. The FBI agent then tried again, "So….Mundus Accendo? What can you tell us about them?"
He then tried again, this time showing his computer screen with the files they found, "Why do you have files on the death of Arthur Knight and in particular, the New York naval base?"
The man's eyes widened and he asked, "You saw what was on my USB?"
"I'm the one asking the questions! Now what are you hiding?!" Agent Vincent demanded, becoming really impatient.
"Alright! I'll answer your questions, but the rest of your make-shift team should get in here, especially Mr Knight as he is going to want to hear this." The man agreed.
Agent Vincent then said, "Very well. Dayla, Paulina and Andrew, you can enter the room."
The man took a deep breath and then suddenly, he bent his head down and reached up to his head, removing the black haired wig to reveal he had blonde hair. He then cleared his throat and spoke with a British accent, "Forgive the disguise and for deceiving all of you. I'm not your enemy, I'm a friend. My name is Liam Walker, British Intelligence."
He reached into a hidden pocket of his jacket and pulled out his badge, showing that it was very real. Dayla then asked, "British Intelligence? What is British Intelligence doing in America?"
"I was assigned a deep undercover mission to go inside Mundus Accendo. I was to remain undercover, find the leader and take down the entire group altogether before they put their plan into action." Liam answered. "I had been working undercover for a long time, since the group re-surfaced five years ago. Your government reached out to us about the group and had asked us for assistance, because they had reason to believe that the leader of this group is also undercover, right in the heart of their military forces."
"Why wasn't the entire agency informed of this?" Agent Vincent asked.
"It was meant to be kept secret. The less people knew what was going on, the better, but now that you have seen my files, there's more that you need to know and I'm happy to share it with you if you release me." Liam answered and then gestured to his handcuffs.
Vincent unlocked the handcuffs and then said, "As I said, part of my mission was not only to discover the leader of Mundus Accendo, but to stop their ultimate plan. The whole reason they want Marcus's Brody's software, is because with it, they can locate any person around the world. For example, they could find where the Prime Minister of England lives, just by listening in on a phone call. Your President is on a personal retreat right now, where he plans to meet with all the world leaders of the UN for a major fundraising event to provide clean water and food for poorer countries."
"Okay, what does Harvey Rogers have to do with this? He made several anonymous payments to someone during the time of Marcus Brody's kidnapping." Paulina asked.
"I had a feeling that's why you were investigating at his company. Those payments were done under my authority." Liam answered. "Harvey Rogers is an old friend of mine from college. A few nights before Marcus's kidnapping, Harvey came to me scared out of his mind. He told me that he was contacted by Mundus Accendo and they…..they threatened his family. They demanded that he transfer several amounts of money, otherwise they knew where his family lived and they would kill them. So discreetly, I had his family moved to a safe location and had told him to make the payments, in order to find out what they were for. The money was then used to buy all this software and a super-computer in order to activate the program. Your friend Tucker won't find the program with Rogers, because he doesn't have it and had nothing to do with Brody's kidnapping."
"Okay that explains everything, but here's one question that doesn't make sense. You said that the leader is working undercover in the military, but according to the report, the leader was killed years ago when my father gave up his life to stop them." Andrew said, really confused.
"That's where you're wrong." Liam said, causing them all to gasp. "The person that was killed on that boat with your father son, was not the leader of Mundus Accendo. That was a decoy. The real leader has been under your nose the whole time, keeping Mundus Accendo underground all these years sending military secrets back to them and biding her time to finally come out from the shadows."
Agent Vincent then asked the question, "Who is it? Who's the leader of Mundus Accendo?"
Liam opened another file and revealed a photo, causing everything to look at it. Andrew's eyes widened and he couldn't believe who he saw on the screen.
Liam nodded and then said, "It's true. The real leader of Mundus Accendo is none other than…Commander Terri Miller."
