So, hello there. I know I'm way too late to this fandom but in my defense, when I watched the show for the first time I didn't know what fanfics were...

And so here we are! If you're reading this, please, please let me know!! A review, a fav, whatever, it'll be welcomed and ofc, I'll know I'm not alone here lol

Since I'm planning on writing a short multi-chapter fic for them, I'd just love to know that there are people out there that are just as in love as I am with this ship.

Disclaimer: I do not own GBF

Aila had learned many things during her time at the Flana Institute.

They had taught her the Japanese language. They had taught her to speak properly. They had given her an education similar to what she would have if she had been enrolled in some school...

In short, many things. And, although sometimes she was lazy or bored, she had never, ever disappointed when it came to learning quickly. She had to do it. It was her way of life and she didn't want to end up on the streets again.

Of course, though, among all the things she had learned were not the manners of countries other than Japan or Finland, let alone another world.

So it was no surprise when she suddenly didn't know what to do when she first met one of Reiji's family members. A boy one or two years younger than them, with physical characteristics very similar to Reiji's except for the color of his eyes, which were blue instead of amber, and who was the first person they met after their confusing, but emotional departure from Earth.

"Aila, this is my younger brother, the genius of the family, the second prince of Arian, Arian Von Reon Asuna. Reon, this is Aila, a friend from Earth."

Reiji introduced them, though, in a rather boring manner, as if the fact that he was royal was the least of it at the moment.

Her eyebrow twitched.

"Uh, so all that nonsense about being a prince was real," she commented through her teeth, not expecting a retort.

Although, it was Reiji she was talking to, so she was also not surprised when he, exalted, said:

"Hey, what did you say?!"

Aila frowned, did he expect her to repeat it so that the other prince could hear? Reiji lacked tact. He certainly couldn't think before opening his big mouth.

"Well, you can't expect me to believe something so farfetched right off the bat!" was what she replied, trying her best not to disrespect Reon.

Although, well, it probably suddenly became irrelevant.

"Huh?!" Reiji seemed completely outraged. "So what did you think I was? A drifter?"

"You told me that! How am I supposed to know what's real and what's a delusion?!"

"Delusion?! You—"

But before they could engage in an endless and pointless argument, Reon's giggle interrupted them.

Giggle became an understatement, though, as he suddenly burst out laughing, and Reiji clucked his tongue in annoyance.

"And I thought the chances of my brother finding a woman who could put up with his temper were less than zero!" Reon exclaimed, doubling over on his stomach as he laughed and holding his glasses so as not to let them fall from his face, nothing like Aila imagined a prince would do.

But that was the least. She flinched at the implication and felt her face heat up.

"My-My apologies, your highness!" she said hastily, before holding out a hand with her head lowered. "I'm Aila Jyrkiäinen, nice to meet you."

When Reon stopped laughing, there were a few seconds of nothingness and silence as he kept looking at her outstretched hand. A self-filled, almost mocking smile crossed his face as he rested one hand on his hip and shifted his weight onto one leg.

Well, Aila realized that the similarity with Reiji was not only physical, but they also shared mannerisms.

"There is no royalty on Earth I imagine?" he asked.

Reiji shrugged, looking at the tip of his fingers, absentmindedly.

"There is, but she wouldn't be able to talk to them under normal circumstances."

"Hm... I see."

Aila gaped slightly.

What were they trying to say?

But before she could protest, Reiji stood less than a step behind her and made her lean forward.

"Here, let me show you how."

If Aila's face had felt hot a few minutes ago, it was definitely boiling now when Reiji brought his body closer to hers. With his hands he guided hers, one to her chest and the other held gracefully to the side, resulting in an awkward bow.

"Then you state your full name if you don't know each other and the status of the person you're talking to."

Aila gulped.

"Isn't that what I just did?"

Reiji straightened up and crossed his arms, one eyebrow raised. "Do you want to learn or not?"

Rolling her eyes and taking a deep breath, she finally heeded what he said and reintroduced herself, deciding that starting another argument out of spice wouldn't be wise.

Reon observed the exchange curiously and after a few seconds of consideration, he too did a similar posture, although Aila doubted that bowing was something princes did often. Of course, he was more graceful and elegant than she would ever look after one minute of practice.

"You may call me Prince Reon," he conceded, then, only to show her a somewhat smug and knowing smile when she looked up again. "I see his time on Earth didn't make my brother any less dense."

"Eek!"

Aila flinched. Maybe, just maybe Reiji would take the hint now, she thought. However, just as she looked back at him, fidgeting and hoping, he loudly asked: "Huh? What was that, Reon?"

The second prince straightened up as if nothing had happened, though he was still smiling, and Aila followed suit, trying not to glare at him.

Technically there was no lie in his words, but… Ugh, it would really be frustrating if Reiji was the only one clueless.
