In the bedroom of a certain blond haired colored young adult, Lindsay was putting on the final touches of what appears to be a costume for a Halloween party one of her fellow . She wore a high-collared, sleeveless crimson leotard with silver lines at her waist and around her arms, which is open to expose her skin from her neck to just below her navel and calf-length red boots with heels, which dip sharply down in the center, two gold utility belts around her waist, and another thinner one around the top of her chest, below her shoulders. She is dressed as a character from a anime show she and some of her friends began to watch since it came out. She also dyed her hair black and stylized her hair in order to match the character she dressed up as. Lindsay tied the back of her hair to into a spiky ponytail and style parts of her bangs on the right side into a strand.
"And one more adjustment to my costume." She said as she adjusted her costume one more time. "And done! This costume looks perfect on me. Although it feels kinda awkward around my chest. I hope it doesn't slip off while I'm out."
Then she heard her mom calling from downstairs.
"Honey! Your friend is here."
"Coming down, mom!" Shouted back Lindsay.
After some last minute fixing up on her costume, Lindsay took her a small red handbag with her before exiting her bedroom and made her way downstairs. She sees her mom waiting next to the door.
"Now don't stay out too late, Lindsay." Her mom told her. "You still have classes this week. Tomorrow's Tuesday afterall. "
"Wait really?" Asked Lindsay. "I thought it was Sunday."
"That was actually yesteraday, sweet heart." Said her mom.
"Aw shoot."
"It's a good thing I'm here to remind you on that. But I still love you and your sisters, my sweet little girl. Even if you're so forgetful and...a bit slow on thinking sometimes." She said before hugging her daughter.
"Aw thanks, mom." Happily said Lindsay as she hugged her mom back.
The two released one another from the hug.
"Now go and have fun out there. And don't stay out too late." Reminded her mother.
"Don't worry I won't." She said to her mother.
With that said, her mom opened the door of their home for her daughter and Lindsay gave a quick wave to her mom before exiting the house.
Waiting in a red midsize pickup truck is Lindsay's BFF, Beth.
Beth wore a bright green turtleneck bodysuit, tan-colored gloves with large buckles on each wrist guard, and two matching belts, one above her breasts, a strap at either side going around her shoulders, and one around her waist, little green dots embedded into it all the way around. Two black lines run down her suit, each framed with yellow, and she wears tight black boots with markings in the shape of a "V" on her thighs and green webbed flippers resembling frogs' toes on her feet. She also wears a headband with a color matching that of her gloves and goggles with dark green-tinted lenses attached on either side. Beth's hair is dyed dark sea-green and she has extensions which help stylize certain parts of her hair as the character she decided to dressed as.
"Hi Lindsay!" Greeted Beth.
"Hi Beth!" Greeted Lindsay back. "Love the costume you dressed as."
"Thanks! Yours too!"
"I wonder how did you manage to get the things for it?"
"Don't you remember, Lindsay? You helped buy the things I needed for the costume. Even the hair extensions." Reminded Beth.
"Huh? Did I?" Asked Lindsay before she remembers. "Oh yeah. Sorry about that, Beth."
"It's alright." Responded Beth. " I'm just happy that we're going to one of Geoff's TD Get Together Parties for Halloween."
"Yeah I can't wait." Said Lindsay excitedly.
"You ready to go?" Asked Beth.
"Yup! Ready and waiting." Replied Lindsay.
"Then what are you waiting for, silly? Let's go."
Lindsay opened the driver's seat, went into the pickup truck, sat next to Beth, and closed the doors. Beth began to drove the pickup truck to their destination.
"Thanks again for picking me up to go to Jeffrey's Halloween party, Beth. " Thanked Lindsay to her BFF. "I would've gone with Tyler to the party, but he injured his foot during football practice. So that's why I asked you if I could ride with you."
"You're really welcome, Lindsay." Happily replied Beth. "Anything for my bestie. Although we have to leave the party early. This is my dad's truck he's letting me borrow for the night. But he wants me to return it by eleven."
"Aw I understand." Said Lindsay. "I'm sure there isn't gonna be anything that'll force us to stay longer right?"
A couple hours in the drive later, the two made it to the home of Geoff and Bridgette; which is located near a beach in a beach house and where this year's Halloween party was taking place.
These kinds of parties or get togethers started after the World Tour season. Some of the TD cast would throw parties or get togethers if they manage to find the right time or occasion to do so. In a way, it was one of the great ways to stay fully connected with one another outside of Total Drama and other reality shows some the TD cast decided to enter in. It kinda became a tradition to them in a way. Most of the original cast would attend while others are either busy with their lives on their ends, they're not interested on going, they live somewhere else in the world, or they don't get an invite due to certain dramas that happened either on the show or outside of the show or other reasons. The number of people that attend these parties grew since Chris Mclean invited an all new cast for two different seasons. Some of the generations manage to come in contact with them in public while others manage to find them on their social media accounts. Since then, these gatherings continue to be one of the best ways to keep in touch together and a fun way to hangout in a way.
The two walked up to the front door and knocked on it.
"Coming!" Shouted a familer voice on the otherside of the door.
The door opened to reveal Bridgette. She was dressed up as a witch.
"Hey girls." Greeted Bridgette. "Glad you two could make it."
"Glad that we could make it too, Brenda." Greeted back Lindsay.
"Cute costume you're wearing, Bridgette." Complmented Beth.
"Thanks. Both of yours coustumes are cute too." Replied back Bridgette. "You two really took the costumes really far."
"Thanks! It was my idea for us to dressed up as our favorite characters from that new anime that started showing months ago." Happily said Lindsay.
"I actually read the manga that came out several years before the anime came out." Put in Beth.
"What's a Manga?" Asked Lindsay with curousity.
"Uh anyways why not you two come in?" Interrupted Bridgette. "A good number of us manage to make it."
"Really? Not all of us made it?" Asked Lindsay.
"Nope." Replied Bridgette. "Some of them had other plans. Others couldn't make. Some we wouldn't think on inviting. "
"I wonder who came?"
"We'll just have to see for ourselves, Lindsay." Said Beth to her.
The two entered inside the beach home. As they walked inside, the two could see in the living room were a couple of people. They see DJ dressed as a construction worker, Harold dressed in a karate gi, Sam dressed as a kind of cowboy, a bearded guy with big black hair that's dressed as a vampire, and the main host of the party himself, Geoff. He was dressed as a magican.
They both see that Geoff, DJ, and Sam were watching Harold perform some of his Beat Boxing skills with the bearded guy who was doing some impressive sound effects in the performance. Especially The two continued to perform for a bit until they were done.
"And that is one of my newest beats I came up with Beardo here." Said Harold with dignity.
The three guys on the couch gave Harold and Beardo an applause.
"Dude, those are some wicked sounding beats there." Complimented Geoff.
"Yeah man. Those beat boxing are still really cool to hear." Put in DJ.
"The complements are really appreciated." Said Harold. "I sure that my wicked beats are enough to cheer you up, right Sam?"
"Yeah. That beat boxing mixed with the game effects in it sounded cool and all, but I still feel a bit down." Responded Sam sadly as he pulled out a kind of game boy and played on it.
"Aw bummer man." Said DJ with disappointment.
"I was hoping our performance would've worked." Said Harold dejected.
Beardo gave off a "wa wa" sound.
"I'm sure our other friends here at the party can think of other things to help cheer you up." Said DJ.
"Speaking of friends, here's more of them now." Said Geoff as he caught sight of his girlfriend with Lindsay and Beth. He got up from the couch and made his way to them. "Sup dudettes. Glad you can make it to the party. Sorry I couldn't opend the door myself. We're busy trying to cheer the Samster up."
"Why what's wrong with Sam?" Asked Beth.
"Mike and Zoey told us that his girlfriend Dakota left last week to finally be cured of her mutation problem. And Sam is depressed ever since." Explained Bridgette.
"Aww that's sad." Said Lindsay unhappily. "I hope we could help cheer him up."
"We've been trying our best to cheer him up since Mike and Zoey brought him to the party." Told Bridgette.
"And where are Mike and Zoey?" Questioned Beth.
"They went to get some more sodas, pizzas, and chips for us half an hour ago since Owen ate them all." Responded Geoff.
"And where's Owen?"
"He's out on the deck with Izzy and Kitty. Along with Dawn, Ella, and Sammy. "
"Oh they're here too?" Asked Lindsay excitedly.
"Yup. They're both helping Sammy be more comforable with friends like us." Told Bridgette.
"That's good to hear."
As Lindsay said that, the four of them heard a knock at the door.
"Sounds like they're back. " He said as he went to get the door.
"Why don't you two see if you two could help cheer Sam up?" Asked Bridgette.
"Of course we'll help Seth up." Responed Lindsay happily. "We're friends with him and North Dakota after all."
"Actually it's Sam and Dakota, Lindsay." Corrected Beth before continuing. "But we can try cheering Sam up."
"That's great to hear. We appreciate the help." Said Bridgette with relief. "I'll go help Geoff."
With that said, Bridgette joined her boyfriend to the door while Lindsay and Beth went over to the living room to help cheer Sam up. Geoff opened the door to reveal Mike and Zoey carrying sodas and bags of chips. Mike dressed as a kind of greaser with his hair styled in a pompadour while Zoey dressed in a poodle skirt.
"Hey guys. We're back!" Said Zoey.
"And we brought the food and drinks." Put in Mike. "The pizzas and the rest of the sodas are in the back seat."
"Welcome back you guys. Thanks for getting us more food and drinks for the party." Happily greeted Bridgette. "Sorry that we had to make you guys go out and buy the food and drinks."
"It's no problem. Honestly. " Insisted Mike. "We couldn't just let the host and hostess of the party leave. So we're happy to help out."
"That's good to hear." Said Geoff.
"By the way, have you guys made any progress on cheering Sam up?" Asked Zoey.
"Sorry there, Zoey. We haven't made much progress on cheering Sam up." Responded Geoff.
"Aww darn. I was hoping he'll be alright by being at a party with friends by now." Said Zoey with disappointment.
"Is Sam still in the living room?" Asked Mike.
"Yeah he in the living room." Answered Bridgette. "Harold, Beardo, Lindsay, and Beth are there trying to cheer him up."
"Lindsay and Beth are here?" The two asked.
"Yup. The two just came before you two arrived." Responded Geoff. "Why don't you two head on inside while we help bring in the rest of the stuff inside?"
"Sure! I mean thanks guys. You two are so nice for hosts and hostess." Said Mike.
"It's no problem, Mike. Zoey. After all, we're not just people that all competed on Total Drama. We're also friends." Said Bridgette happily. "Or I guess most of us are."
Geoff, Mike, and Zoey have to agree.
With that said, Mike and Zoey head into the house while Geoff and Bridgette helped collect the rest of the food and soda.
After Geoff and Bridgette gathered the rest of the food and drinks and headed back inside. As the two came back in their home, they see Harold, Beardo, Lindsay, Beth, Mike, and Zoey trying to cheer Sam up. They went to the kitchen to see DJ, Izzy (dressed as a safari explorer), and Kitty (dressed as a kind of Sailor Scout) were trying to prevent Owen (dressed as a detective) from eating all of the party food again while Ella (dressed in a yellow colored dress and wearing a brunette colored wig that's stylized in a small ponytail.), Dawn (dressed in a white sleeveless tank top, green skirt with pink outer layers and with 3 different colored and sized butterflies on it, green boots with white outer layers, pink socks with white polka dots on them, and a pink wig.), and Sammy (dressed in a japanese school uniform) watch on.
"Come on, Owen." Begged Kitty as she tried to held him back. "You need to save the food for the rest of the party guests. Including the host and hostress themselves."
"Ah but I wanna solve the mystery of my never ending stomach." Said Owen as he tried grabbing some of the food.
"Come on, man. Save the food for everyone else. You already ate a good amount of the food when you three arrived. So you shouldn't be this greedy. " Said DJ while trying to get Owen away from the food by pushing him.
"Um should we do something about this?" Asked Sammy with a worried face.
"Perhaps I could calm the hungry Owen with a song." Said Ella as she's about to sing a song.
"I think you should do that. I sense Izzy is about to do something drastic to Owen any minute now." Said Dawn as she looked at Izzy with caution.
"Oh hey! You just read my mind, sista." Said Izzy. "There's another way to get a food craze Owen down. And it's this!"
Izzy quickly low sweep kick Owen off the floor and fell on his back. Izzy quickly on top of his stomach and sat on him.
"Ouch!" Exclaimed Owen as he felt daze from Izzy's action.
"Ha ha! This should keep him pinned down for the time being. Until all the party guests come and get their treats. Plus he's as comfey as a water bed." Said Izzy trumphantly.
"Ah man. "Said Owen as layed on the floor.
"Oh my. I hope that our big friend will be alright." Said Ella with concern in her voice.
"Oh don't worry there, princess. From the amount of time I know him, he can handle anything. He's like a big loveable teddy bear with an appetite of a whale." Said Izzy. "And that's why I love the guy."
"I can see why." Spoke out Kitty as she looked at Owen with concern.
"Alright Izzy. Great job on stopping Owen from eating the first half of the food that Mike and Zoey just bought." Said Geoff as he and Bridgette placed the rest of the food on the table.
"No problemo." Responed Izzy with a salute.
Then Geoff looked at Owen with a somewhat stern look.
"Now remember, big guy. This food is for everyone. Remember the rules we set up?" Geoff said strictly to Owen.
"Don't eat all the food. Save it for the rest of our friends that are coming." Recited Owen in embaressment.
"Exactly dude." Said Geoff. "Now just let you girl Izzy sit this one out until the rest of our friends come, alright?"
"That sounds a bit too much." Said Bridgette with concern before giving another suggestion. "How about he goes and help cheer Sam up instead?"
"Oh that sounds like a better idea. Sorry, babe. " He said with a bit of shame.
"It's fine."
"Sounds good to me." Said Izzy as she got off of Owen. "Come on, Owen. Let's go cheer up a gamer!"
Izzy dragged Owen by his foot and made her way to the living room.
"I guess that's one way to solve that problem." Said Kitty before asking the two a question. "So how many more of you guy's friends are coming?"
"We're expecting a couple more people." Answered Bridgette. "Everyone else called us before hand that they're busy or couldn't make it."
"Ah that's good to hear. It's really cool to meet with people you competed against and later became friends. Or most of them." Said Kitty with glee.
"Yeah it's totally cool. Especially when I first met my girlfriend, Brig on there. " He said as he look lovingly at Bridgette.
"Heh heh. Oh Geoff you." She giggled.
A bit of time later, two more party guests came in the form of Cody (who wore a kind of tropical shirt with a white shirt on the inside, striped pants, and his hair is styled in a pompadour) and Sierra (who dressed up like a reporter).
"Sup there, Cody dude and Sierra dudette. Glad you two could come to the party." Greeted Geoff.
"Glad we could make it here." Said Cody.
"Yeah totally. It's always cool that most of us former contestants come to these TD parties. It's so exciting! " Said Sierra excitedly.
"Everyone's inside; helping out cheer Sam up or enjoying the party. " Told Bridgette.
"What happened to Sam?" Asked Cody.
Before either Geoff or Bridgette could respond, Sierra quickly spoke up.
"Either Sam lost a game so hard, his parents grounded him and he's not allowed to play any games as a punishment, or something happened to his girlfriend, Dakota." She guessed.
"That's oddly really specific. Then again you are TD's superfan." Said Bridgette.
"You got that right."
"So being more specific, what happened to Sam?" Asked Cody.
"His girlfriend, Dakota left last week to finally be cured of her mutation." Told Bridgette
"Really? Man dudes' definitely down, isn't he?" Said Cody. "Don't worry. We'll help out, too."
"Yeah. If anything, I'm sure I could figure something out to cheer Sam up." Said Sierra.
"You're not gonna do anything "extreme" are you, Sierra?" Asked Cody.
"Of course not, Cody. " Replied Sierra. "Just because I'm a super fan of Total Drama, doesn't mean I could do anything normal."
"Ookay then. We're just what you two thought of." Bridgette said. " Sam is in the living room with some of the party guests that manage to make it here."
"Got it."
With that said, Cody and Sierra walked in the beach house in order to help out a friend and fellow TD contestant cheered up while also enjoying themselves at Geoff and Bridgette's Halloween Party.
"Alright I think that should be everyone that could make it at this year's Halloween party." Said Geoff as he checked on his cell phone to double check the people he invited that manage to come.
"Actually there's actually two more people that are suppose to come to the party." Told Bridgette.
"Really? Who are they?" Questioned Geoff.
"One of them is Duncan. Remember?" Said Bridgette.
"Really? When I asked him, he said he was busy." Said Geoff.
"Really? He told me that he's free and you already know." Told Bridgette.
"Weird. Why did Duncan lied about him being busy?"
"I don't know. But I have a feeling he has a good reason for it."
As the two talked, they heard the door bell ringing.
"Looks like we're about to get our answer." Said Bridgette as she opened the door.
As she did, they looked to see standing in front of the door was what looked to be Duncan.
They see Duncan dressed in a black business suit, wore fake smart looking glasses, and his hair was dyed fully black and stylized in a undercut.
"Woah Duncan is that you?" Asked Geoff with disbelief.
"Yeah man. It's me." He said with a bit of annoyance in his voice, but remain mostly calm.
"Oh man, dude. I didn't expect you to go and dressed like a business man. You plan to keep dressing up like this forever?" Joked Geoff.
"Yeah and I'm gonna have to sue you with my fists." Threatened Duncan.
"Woah easy there, Duncan. I'm just kidding, dude." Said Geoff. "But the biggest thing I wanted to talk to you is why did you tell me you're not coming?"
"Well I was originally not gonna come, but then when Bridgette called to invite me. I was about to say no. But when she mentioned Courtney, I decided to come."
"But then why did you lie that you said Geoff already knew that you're coming?" Asked Bridgette with suspicions.
"Let's just say that's a surprise on what I have in mind the next time I seen her. I asked her to come with me under certain conditions." Explained Duncan.
"What kind of conditions, dude?" Geoff asked.
"This."
A voice called out from behind Duncan.
Geoff and Bridgette looked behind him to see a very unexpected sight. They looked to see a certain former C.I.T coming to them.
However they looked to see that she was dressed with what looks to be a small black shirt with the same icon seen on Duncan's usual outfit, dark blue skinny jeans with some rip marks on the knee areas of the jeans, skull shaped earrings on both her ears, and a clip on nose ring. Her hair was also dyed green and is stylized in a flowing mohawk.
She came up behind Duncan and crossed her arms in irritation and embarrassment.
"Why did I let you taught me into this?" Courtney complained.
"At least I'm doing what you want me to dressed like for the party. We have a deal on what we should dressed up as." Retorted Duncan. "So why are you complaining, Princess?"
Courtney just rolled her eyes before talking to the surfer couple.
"Happy Halloween you two." She greeted. "Glad that we made it."
"Same to you too, Courtney. " Greeted back Bridgette. "How have you been? It's been quite awhile."
"I've been doing great actually." Responded to Bridgette's question. "Things have been really well since what happened a couple months ago."
"Tell me all about it." She asked as Bridgette and Courtney began to catch up one another.
"So how's things on your end, Geoff?" Duncan asked.
"Oh things have been totally cool, dude." Responded Geoff. "Got a cool job I could work with, been living well with Bridg, you name it."
"That's good to hear."
As Duncan came into the home, he noticed that a couple of their friends were around Sam.
"What's been going on here?" He asked Geoff.
"Oh Sams' been bummed out since her girlfriend went away to be cured of her freaky mutation after a couple years. " Geoff answered. "And we've been doing our best trying to cheer him up since Mike and Zoey brought him to the party."
"I see. I think I know one way to cheer him up." He said as he walked over to where Sam and a good number of their fellow TD competitors were at.
"Hey guys. Who's up for some scary stories? " He asked.
"Scary stories? Now? Duncan we just got here." Said Courtney as she came into the living with some food in her hand and with Bridgette.
"Unless you wanna give him a lecture to cheer him up, I think telling scary stories might help get his mind off of her actual monster girlfriend." Said Duncan
"Hey she might've look like a monster, but she's not an actual monster!" Said Sam angerly.
"Guys come on. Don't fight and make Sam more upset by calling her girlfriend that. Apologize to him." Spoke out Beth.
"' 'sighs' Right right. Sorry man." Apologized Duncan.
"Yeah sorry too, Duncan." Apologized back Sam. "I guess I'm just still upset that my girl, Dakota had to leave."
"I understand. So how about we tell scary stories to get your mind off of her? It's Halloween after all." Suggested Duncan.
"Well as long as they're not that scary or something, I guess I can listen to some stories or too." Agreed Sam as he put away his handheld gaming device again.
"Good. Cause I have a scary story to tell."
"Is it the story with the Hook Hand Killer?" Asked Mike. "Because I'm actually curious on how the whole story goes since it didn't show the whole story during your guy's first season."
"Yeah it is. One of my favorite stories to tell." Said Duncan with a smile. "And here's how it goes."
"Oh god dammit." Sighed Courtney with frustration.
And so, all of the party guests gathered around and some of them told a scary story for the Halloween party. Some were scary while others were not so scary. All in all, Sam still felt down.
After a good amount of time, most of the party guests had told their tale. All but Harold.
"Guess it's finally my time to tell a scary tale that'll knock all of you guy's and girls underwears and panties off." He said proudly.
"Teh ha ha. You can't be serious right?" Duncan said as he laugh on what he just heard. "You really think you have a scary story to tell do you? What a joke."
"It probably has to do with something at the summer camps he's been through or on Total Drama or something." Said Courtney sarcastically.
"I do have a scary story to tell. Gosh! " Angerly exclaimed Harold. "Not every story I have has to involve my time at camp you know."
"Sure it doesn't." Said Duncan as he rolled his eyes.
"Come on, guys. Let's give Harold a chance to tell his story." Spoke out Bridgette. "You never know. It might surprise us like the other times we underestimated him."
Everyone looked at each other for a bit of time. After thinking it over, they agreed to let Harold tell his scary story in mind.
"Bridgettes' right. I think everyone deserves a chance to tell a scary story. " Spoke out Zoey.
"Yeah I'm totally stoke to see what Harold has in mind. Let's let him go at it." Said Geoff.
"I wonder what could Harry's scary story be about?" Questioned Lindsay.
"We're just gonna have to listen on what he says, Lindsay." Told Beth.
"Alright fine. It better not bored me to death, nerd." Said Duncan.
"I'm curious to see where his story goes." Said Courtney with slight curiosity.
"Looks like it's unanimous. You're good to tell the story, dude." Told Geoff.
"Awesome." Said Harold with satisfaction.
He sat in the center of the gathered group. Harold cleared his throat before he began.
"Ok so I've seen this online while I was doing a history report for how life was like back in Canada. And while I was looking online, I found this one article about an abandoned theater that's located on Yonge Street." Harold told everyone.
"There's a theater on Yonge street?" Asked Lindsay. "I didn't there's one out in the street. I thought it's in the mall."
"There is one and there's a reason why it's abandoned if you don't mind me continuing." Harold said a bit of annoyance.
"Oops. Sorry."
Harold continued.
"Anyways the theater was built around 1935; which was twenty-two years after the Elgin and Winter Garden Theater was opened. A wealthy man by the name of Bertrum Chyrs was the one that built the theater. The theater's name is the Chyrs Row Theater. He built the theater for his love of the performing arts and silent movies at the time. But there's another reason why he built the theater. It's to hide his base of operations for his secret criminal business in the theater. "
"Oh now you got my attention here." Said Duncan with interested. "Continue."
And Harold continued on with his story.
"One of the ways he became wealthy is through his connections to criminals and gangsters around North América. He would sell illegal drugs under a food company he also owns and secretly sell them to the black market. From them, he made lots of money. He run his secret criminal business successfully for twenty years. Until one of the rival gangs he made enemies with manage to find his secret base of operations. The gang entered his theater one night and murdered him and the staff that were working there at the time. "
The party guests were surprised by this.
"Because of the murder that happened at the theater, it closed down. But it opened up again after thirty years of abandonment. People would go in to the Chyrs Row theater for several years. As they do, people experience strange spooky things happening there. Some people claim to hear footsteps from upstairs where Bertrum's office was, some people claim to see lights flashing on and off in the lobbies and hallways, and some people claimed to see empty theater rooms film projectors to turn on their own and play a strange movie with Bertrum's spirit in them. But the most strangest and scariest thing that people have witness at Chyrs Row theater."
The group listened carefully and in anticipation to what Harold was about to tell them.
"They say that they claim to see the big shadowy ghostly figure of Berturm Chyrs standing at the end of the hallways. And if you see him, his ghost will come and attack you. "
Some of the party guests were afraid by this. Some were not, but rather they're interested. Some were so scared, that they might've wet themselves. Despite their reactions, Harold continued on with his story.
"Because of these hauntings, the theater has been shut down. Never to be opened again. But people say that whenever they sneak in to visit the old theater, they have seen these paranormal activates taking place. Especially the sighting of Bertrum Chyrs' ghost. "
Everyone stood quiet for a moment after Harold finished his scary story. Then someone spoke up.
"So let me get this straight. You're saying you found this online and you claim that this place and its history is real?" Questioned Courtney suspiciously.
"It is real alright." Said Harold. "And can prove it by showing where it is exactly."
"Really? Well let's see it with our own eyes then." Said Courtney.
Half an hour of driving later.
"I can't believe it existed."
A good number of people were standing in front of an abandoned theater that was named Chyrs Row theater.
"Wow. Who would've known this theater existed?" Duncan said with surprise. "Then again, I don't look around this street much."
"Well at least we now know it exists." Said Beth. "I think we should go home and agreed that Harold was right."
"Not so fast." Spoke out Courtney. "The place might be real, but we need to really see that it's really haunted. "
"Are you sure you have to prove that this place is haunted?" Asked Zoey with worry as she leaned next to Mike for comfort. "Tonight is Halloween after all."
"We could see if this place is really haunted like what Harold claims to say. Plus we could try helping Sam get his mind off of Dakota by exploring a place like this."
"Uh I don't know about this, guys. I think I rather play a scary game then experiencing one." Said Sam nervously.
"Don't worry there, Sam. You still got us for company. " Beth said comfortably.
"Yeah. We could keep each other company while we spend a night here at this theater. We could even watch movies for free." Said Lindsay cheerfully.
"Lindsay you do know this theater is abandoned right?" Told Beth to Lindsay.
"Really?" She asked before she remembered. "Oh oops. I thought we were staying at a working theater, Seth. My bad. But at least you still have us as company."
"I guess that's good in a way. Thanks guys." Said Sam feeling a bit better.
"As I said, the Chyrs Row Theater does exist. And is haunted." Spoke out Harold.
"So are you sure this place is haunted like your little story mentioned? " Asked Duncan.
"It is as I said. And all of you will see how scary it can be inside." Said Harold before he took out a set of keys. "I got permission from the owners of the theater some days ago during my research to let me explore this abandoned theater. So we're free to explore this abandon theater with our heart's content. As long as we don't trash anything in here."
"I'm wondering why some of us are here and not everyone else that were at the party?" Questioned Lindsay.
"Harold says that it'll be less suspicious for a small group to go. And everyone else said they wanna party at Geoff and Bridgette's home more." Answered Beth.
"Oh yeah. I think that makes sense."
"Now shall we go in?"
As Harold says that, he unlocked the doors to the old abandoned theater with one hand while holding a dufflebag in another hand.
The group consisting of Harold, Duncan, Courtney, Lindsay, Beth, Mike, Zoey, and Sam entered the abandoned Chrys Row Theater. They looked around to see that the place had seen better days. Some furniture lay around the lobby broken and dusty, dust and other debris lay on the floor all around, and there were some holes all around the area. Like on the floor, the walls, and even the ceiling. It looked wrecked.
"This place really has seen better days." Said Duncan. "Really trashed and wrecked. "
"Sad to see something like this be left alone to fell apart and left alone until they decided to knock this part down." Said Beth.
"But wouldn't the place be haunted by the ghosties?" Asked Lindsay dumbly.
"I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation on the haunts here. " Said Courtney reassuringly. "There's no such thing as ghosts."
"Then explain bigfoot, those prehistoric beavers, mutated animals, and aliens we seen during those Total Drama seasons, Princess." Said Duncan with a smugged face.
"Uh...well...g-ghosts aren't real, okay?!" Spoke out Courtney. "And we'll prove that it's nothing like we seen on Total Drama or anything. We'll prove that there's no such thing as ghosts."
"I'm not to sure if you should say that." Said Harold. "When someone says that, spirits are bound to prove you wrong."
"If there are any." Courtney said quietly to herself.
"Hey Harold, did you brought any ghost hunting equipment to detect any ghosts?" Asked Beth.
"If I didn't then how else would we prove that there are ghosts here?"
As Harold said that, he took out some ghost detectors and walkie talkies and gave them to some of the people there.
"I sure all of you know how to use these ghost detectors, right?" Asked Harold.
"The light goes beep beep and blinks when it detects a ghost right?" Lindsay asked back.
"Pretty much. Yes." Said Courtney as she rolls her eyes.
"Oh wow. This reminds me of some of the ghost detecting apps I used before I removed them for being rip offs. Can't wait to use the real thing here." Said Sam as he looks at the Ghost Detector he's been given.
"Alright guys. Now that we're ready, let's go show you how this place is haunted. Also try not to be alone. The spirits could get you that way." Instructed Harold.
"Sure whatever, Harold. Courtney and I are gonna go with you just in case you don't do anything suspicious." Said Duncan.
"Sure. Anything to show you two the existence of ghosts." Harold said as he began to walk to one end of the hallway.
Duncan and Courtney followed behind Harold.
"I guess Zoey, Sam, and I will look around the other side of the hallway." Said Mike.
"Got it." Responded Zoey before she asked Beth and Lindsay. "You girls are gonna stay here?"
"Yeah we'll stay here and look around here." Answered Beth.
"We'll see if any ghosties are gonna appear and get some snacks from the concession stand." Said Lindsay.
"I'm sure we will, Lindsay. I'm sure we will."
With that said, Mike's group went on the other side of the theater's other hallway while Beth and Lindsay sticked to being in the lobby room and detect and paranormal activity there.
The groups looked around the abandoned theater carefully. They moved their ghost detectors for any signs of poltergeist activity, but they didn't find anything.
Half an hour has passed since they looked around and they couldn't find anything odd or out out of the ordinary.
"Have you guys find anything on your end?" Questioned Courtney on the walkie talkie to the others while she, Duncan, and Harold looked around the old office.
"No. We still haven't found anything." Responded Mike on one end of the walkie talkie.
"Same in the lobby." Responded Beth on the other end.
Courtney groan in irritation.
"This has been a big waste of time. " She said in frustration. "We didn't find anything with the detectors. "
"Yeah I'm gonna have to go with Courtney here, nerd." Agreed Duncan with frustration. "We've been looking around for half an hour and we didn't find anything. You're lying about this place being haunted."
"It takes plenty of hours to find anything.." Harold told them. "You're not just gonna find anything paranormal in an instant. Gosh!"
"Face it, Dorkmen. This is just a way to waste our time." He complained as he walked over to Harold and gets ready to punch Harold.
"What he said." Put in Courtney. "There is no way such thing as ghosts. You got-"
Before she could finish, the ghost detector that Courtney was holding began to beep and flash.
"Wh-what?!" Exclaimed Courtney.
Then several objects in the office moved by themselves and began to hit the three of them. The three tried their best to dodge the thrown objects. Both Courtney and Duncan manage to dodge the most objects, but Harold kept getting hit by the objects. It caused him to stumble back until he fell into a hole of the office.
"Ahhhhhhhh!" He screamed as Harold fell into the hole.
"Harold!" Exclaimed both Courtney and Duncan.
"I can't believe he's also right about there being ghosts here too!" Shouted Courtney. "And now he fell to his death!"
"Oh man! I know I wanted him died, but now that he is gone...damn." Said Duncan feeling guilty.
"W-we need to contact the others!" She said as she turned on the walkie talkie. "Come in come in! We need help now!"
But all she heard was static on the walkie talkie.
"Wh-what the? Why isn't it working?" Said Courtney as she tried to work the walkie talkie.
"The ghosts must be interfering with the walkie talkie." Said Duncan. "We gotta go get to the others quick!"
"R-right." Asnwered Courtney.
But as they were about to leave the office, Courtney caught sight of something at the corner of her eye.
"Uh Duncan. Did you ever see a big figure in the office?" She nervously asked.
Duncan looked to see what Courtney was talking about. He could that in the dark corner of the office was a big opposing round figure that's dressed in a black coat and a black panma hat. The figure started to move towards them.
"No I didn't. Let's get out of here!" He yelled as he made his way out of the office.
"Hey don't you dare leave me with the ghost!" Courtney shouted back while she also went out of the office.
While this happened, Zoey's group continued to look around in one of the theaters on the side they were inveastigating.
"Did anyone find anything on their end?" Asked Zoey as she walked over to him.
"No. They haven't found anything on their end either." He said. "We should look around a bit more before we go."
"What about Sam?" Asked Zoey. "One of the reasons we're here is to cheer him up in ghost hunting."
"We'll just have to try to think of another way to cheer him up." Answered Mike. "Although it looks like he's feeling a bit better here."
As he said that, Sam came to the two.
"Hey you two. You guys detected anything?" Asked Sam.
"Nothing." Responded Zoey. "Sorry Sam. We still haven't detected anything."
"It's alright. " He said relaxed. "It's actually pretty cool that we're checking out a suppose haunted place. Kinda like some ghost hunting games I played and this is a kind of experience. Well besides our time on Total Drama that is."
"Aw that's good to hear, Sam." Said Zoey happily.
"Yeah. Glad to hear you're having fun on this little ghost hunt buddy." Said Mike with enthusiasm.
"Yeah. I gotta admit I think this whole thing is taking my mind kinda off from Dakota. " Said Sam admittedly.
Suddenly, something seem to flash within the theater room they were in. The three look to see that something was showing on the screen. They saw an alleyway on screen. And coming into the scene was a big shadowy round figure.
"Uh guys, did anyone went up to the projection room and played that movie?" Asked Sam.
"No I don't think so." Replied Mike.
As he said that, the ghost detector begins to flash and makes beeping noises. The three looked at the device before they looked around the room to see the lights flashing in the theater room. And then their focus were directed at the stage.
On the stage, they see the same figure they saw in the strange film that was currently playing. It stared at them with an evil intent in its eyes.
"D-don't tell me. That's the g-ghost Harold was talking about in his st-story right?" Asked Zoey nervously.
"Y-yeah." Mike replied. "I th-think we should leave."
"Then what are two standing around like NPCs! Let's get the hell out of here!" Yelled Sam as he began to run out of the theater room.
"You don't have to tell us twice. Let's go, Zoey!" Said Mike as he grabbed onto his girlfriend's hand and ran out the theater room with her.
As the events with both groups happened, Beth and Lindsay continue to try to find any signs of paranormal activity in the lobby. They still weren't able to detect any paranormal activity.
"Hmm. Still nothing. " Said Beth with disappointment before asking Lindsay. "Did you find anything on your end, Lindsay?"
"Hmm? Oh nope. Haven't found anything on my end either." Answered Lindsay. "The ghost detector didn't blink or made a beeping noise."
"I'm surprise you still remember how the ghost detector works." Said Beth with interest.
"Well yeah. Harold did show it to us and I just happened to remember how to use it back in that spooky movie theme challenge." Said Lindsay happily.
"I'm really proud to see just how smart you're getting." Beth happily said.
"I've always been smart. I...just think differently. Yeah that's it." She said.
"Of course you would say that." Chuckled Beth jokingly.
"It's true. Honest." Insisted Lindsay. "I can be smart at times you know."
"I know that, bestie. You have proven to us several times that you are smarter then you look." Reassured Beth. "You don't have to keep telling us that."
"I...I know. I'm sorry, Beth. It's just that-"
Before Lindsay could continue what she has in mind, the ghost detectors began to flash and make a beeping sound.
"Oh hey it's making the beeping noise and flashing like I said. " She said innocently. "But um why is it doing this?"
Before Beth could say anything, the lights in the lobby began to flash on and off. The two hugged onto each other for comfort.
"D-don't tell me. I-is it the ghost? " Asked Lindsay nervously.
"I-I think it is." Responded Beth.
Then they could see something or rather someone rise up from behind the counter was a big opposing round figure. As the figure raised up, it stared at the two with glowing white eyes at them.
"Eeek! It's the ghost!" Screamed Lindsay.
"Quick let's get away from it and get the others!" Told Beth with fright.
The two quickly went to the hallway. As they did, they suddenly bumped into something. Or rather someone. Lindsay and Beth look to see that Courtney and Duncan bumped into them.
"Ah Courtney? Duncan? What are you two running away from?" Asked Beth.
"From Mr big, round, and mean there!" Shouted Duncan as he pointed to one end of the hallway they come from.
As he did, they see the same shadowy figure the two groups seen heading towards them. Both groups screamed.
Just then, Sam exited the theater room he was in. Followed by Mike and Zoey. As he did, he sees the same figure heading towards their other friends that were on the ground and trying to get off of each other. Thinking quick, he knows what to do.
"Hey Bertrum! Time to get haunted by me!" Shouted Sam.
He quickly imagines himself to be in a kind of 8-bit spooky themed game and begins to run at the ghost. Sam jumped over the downed group and rammed the figure back.
"Leave my friends alone, ghost!" Commanded Sam.
"Woah Sam. That was really cool." Complimented Mike.
"Yeah. You manage to stop that ghost from getting our friends." Put in Zoey.
"Yeah. A bit suspicious on that." Said Courtney as she and the other three got up. "Since when can Sam hit a ghost?"
The others seem to suspect this too now that think of it. Duncan went to the figure that Sam rammed into, removed the hat to reveal to be-
"Ow. That ram you did was really something."
Owen.
"What the? Owen? You were the ghost?!" Questioned Courtney angerly.
"Um well not the only one." Admitted Owen.
Then the group see the suppose figure coming out of the theater Mike, Zoey, and Sam were looking around in. Taking off the hat and revealing themselves to be a certain orange haired girl.
"Ha ha. Sup guys? " She greeted them casually. "I guess the cats out of the bag huh?"
"Yeah it is." Said Courtney.
"Uh E-Scope, how did you get so big and round within an hour?" Asked Lindsay with curiosity.
"It's some of my fat suits I have to wear." Responded Izzy. "Like what they're wearing."
She pointed to the figure standing in front of the counter that Beth and Lindsay saw in the lobby. The figure unveiled themselves to be none other then Kitty.
"Oh wow. I can't believe we actually scared you guys. " Said Kitty with glee. "Who would've known it would be this fun. "
"You're also in on this, Kitty?" Questioned Lindsay.
"Yeah. Although sorry if I did scared you guys." Said Kitty apologetically.
"So you three are all on this? Why?!" Courtney demanded.
"Simple. To get back at you two for the bullying." Said a familiar voice.
Then coming out of what seemed to be a locked closet was none other then Harold.
"Harold? You're ok and you're the one that planned all of this?!" Asked Duncan.
"That's right." Replied Harold before he began to explain. "I've been figuring out ways to get back at you for bullying me back on Total Drama. And I thought of a way to get back at you. By using a abandoned place that I researched on to scare you. When I've been given the keys to this place, not only I was allowed to look around and research its history, but also set up and planned the scare. I gained help from not only Owen, Izzy, and Kitty here, but I also gain help from Cody and B with their respective skills. After a couple of weeks of planning and setting things up, my plan came to is ready set in motion. And so when Halloween came around, I find the opportunity to tell scary stories at the party. Once I see your disbeliefs, I enact the next part of the plan. By having you come here. Everyone else, especially Courtney, we kinda just bonus people. Especially And now I think each and everyone of you knows the rest of the story. "
The group stood there for a moment. Before Duncan went up to Harold, held him up by the collar, and threaten to punch him.
"That was a dirty sneaky move you did there, nerd. I should pound you until next Halloween for what you did there." Threatened Duncan.
The group expected Duncan to really do something violent to Harold. But instead he let's go of him and gave him a pat on the back with an impressed face.
"But I gotta admit. That was a really impressive plan for a scare there. Good job there, man." Congratulated Duncan.
"Really? Why thank you, Duncan. I see that you're impressed by my skills on scaring and planning." Said Harold feeling proud of himself.
"Wow Duncan. That was really nice of you to say to Harold." Said Beth, glad to see everything seem to be handled in a positive way.
But then as she said, Duncan jabbed Harold in the stomach.
"Scare us again like that and you wished you haven't think on that brilliant plan of yours." Duncan threatened Harold once more.
"Ahhh! My intestines!" Exclaimed Harold in pain.
"And it immediately became negative here." Said Courtney. "But he does deserve it for scaring us."
"Speaking of getting hurt, how about we talk about how strong Sam was when he rammed into me?" Said Owen as he rubbed the area that Sam rammed him at.
"Yeah I gotta hand it to Gamer Boy too." Said Duncan. "That shows that you do care for your friends."
"And hey you were so focus on saving everyone else, that it took your mind off of Dakota there. " Indicated Mike. "Aren't I right on that?"
"Hey yeah. I guess that helped me took my mind off of Dakota." Said Sam with realization. "I guess this whole fake ghost haunting thing helped me after all. Thanks guys."
"Aww it was no problem at all, Seth." Said Lindsay happily.
"Looks like my intended revenge scare did helped with Sam's girlfriend's problem too." Harold said with satisfaction.
"You're still in trouble with the whole scare prank thing, Harold." Put in Courtney.
"Hey guys. Let's say we get back to the party? We still have two hours to party." Told Kitty.
"Sounds like the plan. Let's get back to the party guys." Answered Mike.
With that said, the group began to exit the theater. As they did, Zoey asked some things.
"So you got the lights, hidden rooms, trapdoors, and the costumes down. However I'm wondering about something. When did you have enough time to make that film?"
"Uh what film?" Asked Harold.
"You know. The film with the ghost in it. The one that gave Mike, Sam, and I part of the scare. And you have it played on screen in the theater room we were in."
"What are you talking about? I didn't make a film with Bertrum Chyrs. I actually didn't have time to make it part of the plan. I was caught up with classes. And when I tried opening the projection room, it was shut tight. Even with the key I used there." Told Harold.
"And I thought you did when I came to scare these guys." Informed Izzy.
The group then pondered something.
"Wait a minute. I-if you didn't played that video, th-then...then that means-"
Before Zoey could say anything else, all of the ghost detectors began to sound off and blink. And then the lights in the lobby began to flash on and off violently.
This caused the group to scream in terror, quickly ran out of the theater; unaware that they left the front door opened, got into their own or one of their friend's vehicles, and quickly drove away from the abandoned theater.
As they did, inside the lobby of the theater stood a big, round, opposing shadowy figure; looking ahead with a menacing white glare. He stared ahead before the doors to the abandoned theater closed by themselves.
Author's Notes: So there are several reasons on why I made this fanfic.
1. To do a Halloween special for this month.
2. To try depicting other TD characters besides ones that I shown in my other TD fanfics I made so far. Even if they have minor roles.
3. I kinda try my hand on making a scary story while also keeping in tune to the TD universe.
I also hope people would check the other TD fanfics I made on my account. Especially one I'm currently doing. Which is a crossover fanfic. There are some hints that indicate things happening from it and for possible future fanfics I have in mind. I hope to work on these and finish any ideas I have for fanfics before I lose motivation and time on them once again.
Until next time.
