It was the biggest night in Gloomsvile, Halloween night, and no one could contain their excitement for this night especially not the gang that lives in the old Gloomsvile manor which was located on the outskirts of the city where no human dared to enter due to the rumors of it being haunted by monsters even though that couldn't have been further from the truth since the "monsters" were only kids that were kind and not at all scary.
"I can't wait to go into town for the Halloween Party!" Ruby said happily, she was always looking on the bright side of everything. "I hope none of the humans find out we're not in costumes." Misery replied dejectedly, being an unlucky banshee had problems for her unlike her rag doll-like friend Ruby, Misery really wanted to have fun tonight, but with her bad luck, something was bound to go wrong which worried her really badly.
"We'll be fine, Misery!" Iris the cyclops responded to her, Iris had on reversed colors of Ruby's outfit and was always on the lookout for adventures only for her to end up crashing, but that didn't stop her from having fun only Ruby hoped that her friend would stay out of trouble since she didn't want Iris to either get hurt or end up hurting any of the other party goers tonight since it's the one night of the year where they could go into the town.
"I agree with Iris." Skull Boy spoke up, he was a literal skeleton that suffered from amnesia, so he had no idea who his family is while the last of the group of friends is a set of brothers who are patchwork and have been conjoined since birth named Frank and Len, they may not be the smartest ones of the group since they share half a brain, but they do care for their friends since the group are like a family not just roommates that share the manor.
"Len and I agree. Now, let's go have some fun!" Frank said, he's the one with hair that's styled like Elvis while Len had had some piercings. "We're gonna party all night!" Len exclaimed happily, the group left their home and headed for town at the same time a new face arrived in Gloomsvile, the young girl was only twelve years-old, but she needed to find a place to live since she had left her old home town for reasons that she didn't want to talk about.
The new girl is named Bellatrix, and she realized that finding a new home wasn't going to be easy what with it being Halloween night. "I can worry about the housing problem later." Bellatrix told herself, she pushed back her waist-length black hair with red highlights in it, then smoothed down her black dress which looked like a witches dress before joining everyone else in the festivities that were happening around her as she took in the sights, but she became distracted and ended up running into the Gloomsvile gang themselves.
"Oh, sorry! I wasn't watching where I was going!" Bellatrix said as she helped Ruby back up, the red head didn't even get angry, she only smiled. "It's alright. There's a lot going on tonight." Ruby replied as her friends watched her interact with the new human in town, none of the others knew if they should get Ruby away from the human, but she seemed nice to them even if she didn't know that they weren't humans like she was at the moment as they did introductions.
"Why don't you join us?" Ruby asked with a smile, she glanced at her friends who were shaking their heads 'no', but stopped when Bellatrix looked at them. "If you're friends are okay with it, then I will." Bellatrix replied kindly, hearing that they had the option of 'yes' or 'no' made the others pause once they realized that Bellatrix had no intention of forcing her way into their group just join them, so the others talked it over while looking at her before deciding to extend the same offer as Ruby, so now the six kids walked around together.
Once the six reached the towns square, they saw that everyone was having fun and dancing to the music. "Let's Party!" Frank and Len shouted, everyone cheered as the music got louder before the band that was playing asked for some volunteers to sing while they took a break, so Bellatrix raised her had as did Ruby and Iris, before they joined their new friend on stage as Bellatrix grabbed the guitar as Ruby got on the keyboard while Iris did the drums, the girl's began to play.

At the end of the song, the whole audience cheered for the three girl's who took a bow then rejoined the crowed as the band took their places back on stage as they thanked Bellatrix, Ruby and Iris before beginning their next set as everyone began to dance to the new song, Misery and the boys cheered for their friends as well as Bellatrix while the three girls thanked them, luckily for Ruby and Iris, Frank and Len had been giving them music lessons while Bellatrix had learned how to play an electric guitar ever since she was six years-old, so she knew how to play, but was glad that Ruby and Iris knew one of the songs from her favorite all girl band.
During the party just as it was reaching midnight or the witching hour, everyone was still having fun even Misery, who had tried to keep her bad luck at bay, but sadly that's when lighting struck her as it was a literal lighting bolt which made all the party people cover their eyes before seeing that Misery was scorched, but still "alive" since everyone knew that a single bolt of lighting could hurt or even kill someone if they had been hit.
"That girl isn't a human! She's the banshee girl old Gloomsvile manor!" A guy dressed as vampire shouted, everyone became scared or angry that the "monsters" crashed their party while Bellatrix was just confused by why the people were becoming jerks to her new friends, most of the humans ran away from the group in fear while others formed a mob. "That new girl must be a witch if she's with them!" A teen girl said as she pointed to Bellatrix.
"What's going on?" Bellatrix asked her new friends, the Gloomsvile gang became scared even Ruby as the mob drew closer. "RUN!" Iris shouted to her friends, Ruby grabbed Bellatrix's hand and pulled her into a run as the six were chased by the humans of the town, but poor Bellatrix was extremely confused as to why her new friends were being treated like they were dangerous as well as why they were being chased away from town by the people anyways.
Once the six were back at Gloomsvile manor, they breathed hard while trying to get their breath back. "What just happened back there?" Bellatrix asked her friends, the five looked at each other in fear as they eyed her in nervousness, but then they remembered how the humans had treated Bellatrix since they believed that she was a witch all because they saw saw her with them, even though she's a human just like the people in town are.
"We'll tell you inside." Skull Boy said as he opened the door to the manor, Bellatrix followed her friends into their home, where she got the feeling that something interesting was about to make her life change, and she vowed not to judge her new friends since she wanted to know why the people in town called them "monsters" when they seemed normal enough, and not like the monsters she's heard stories about just to keep her in line while growing up.
