"Um… Pegasus-sama… H-How do you and Evan know each other?" Crowler asked the man, who smiled and pulled an unwilling Evan into a side-hug.

"H-he's my boss!" Evan said, struggling to get out of the surprisingly strong grip of the man.

"Oh, don't be like that, Evan-boy~! We know each other enough! Crowler-boy, was it?" Crowler nodded to the man, shocked that Evan said he was employed under Pegasus himself. "While he is employed under me as a scout, we also have another relationship. He's my son."

...

"""WHAT?!"""

"Oh, boy…"

It's been a few days since the exam, and as Evan had expected for his results, he got almost exactly middle of the pack. He wasn't supposed to be acing the tests after all and was only required to put the minimal amount of effort required to stay in Obelisk. After those (not) stressful exams, he just wanted a long rest. After spending a whole but two days within his room with almost no contact to anyone else outside, he decided he needed to eat some real food for once.

So, with that decision in mind, he decided that today would be the day he went to have breakfast in the Obelisk dorms. The more rational part of his mind said that was a bad idea due to the aftermath of his duel with Alexis, but he decided to do it anyway, cause he simply didn't care.

So here he was, walking down the hallway towards the cafeteria within the Obelisk Blue Boy's dorm, not minding all the stares that settled upon his figure. With his victory over Alexis the other day, the male population of Obelisk decided that he was the enemy of man and proceeded to try and pressure him to drop out of the academy.

It didn't work of course, but he could only commend them for trying. Within his thoughts, he didn't realise that he had finally arrived at the cafeteria, which wasn't an accurate depiction of the room. He gained a sense on nostalgia, the five-star restaurant within his dorm reminding Evan of Pegasus' house, and he hated it. He knew that after today he would simply order food as he been doing within his stay at Duel Academy.

He walked over to where the food was, completely ignoring the whispers and glares that were sent his way.

He didn't know what was worse, the glares from the boys or the whole school's surprise at Pegasus' reveal at him being his son. Of course, he had gotten messages and texts about the whole topic, but he didn't want to speak to anyone right now, but he thought that he might as well share his story with Euliya, the only person he could call his best friend on this island.

He picked only the largest and most nutritious foods he could find, along with a fairly simply bacon and eggs side dish and went sit down at one of the tables of the cafeteria. Upon seeing that everyone was glaring at him and not willing to let him sit down, he decided that being here anymore wasn't worth it and was about to leave.

Before he could though, his eyes moved over to a table on the far side of the room, near the corner. On the large table, there was a single boy sitting there, eating quietly, and looked exactly like the company he would want to keep. Deciding to try his chances, he went over to the table to see if he could sit down.

Before he could even reach the whole way however, he felt his arm getting grabbed, which immediately set off all alarms in his head. He turned his eyes to focus on a boy who looked about ready to punch him.

"What do you think you're doing, Richards?" An obelisk, whose name escapes him (there are so many), glared roughly as he tried to scare Evan into submission.

"Going to sit down." He said simply, just trying to end this conversation here and there.

"You're not welcome around here, and especially not at that table." The boy said while pointed to the table the boy was sitting on. Said boy looked annoyed by the disturbance but was simply staring at Evan incredulously.

"Are you really so annoyed at me destroying your so called 'Goddess' in a duel? How much of a simp can you guys be?" Evan sighed while shaking his head. Obviously, that was the wrong choice as almost every boy in the cafeteria glared at him in anger.

The boy with a hold on his arm never let go, simply intensifying his glare, letting Evan understand the message he was trying to send. Evan sighed once again, throwing the boy's hand off him as he started to walk out.

"Fine, I get it. I'll leave. Fucking simps." He said in annoyance as he walked away from his desired table, sending grins through every boy's face.

"Wait." A cold and frankly, quiet voice rang out throughout the cafeteria, putting everything to a stop. "Taizou, leave him alone. He can sit wherever he wants." The boy who he was trying to sit with called out, making the boy in question splutter and try to find an excuse.

"B-But Zane-!"

He was cut off by a simply glare from the boy, which effectively shut him up. The boy, named Taizou glared at Evan one more time before going back to his table, allowing Evan to move freely, which he was appreciative of.

He sat down at the desired table, sitting across from the boy who just saved him so many headaches and smiled at him.

"Thank you. I wouldn't have wanted to eat in my room. The smell of the food sticks around." He said simply as he started to eat, starting with his foie gras.

"It's fine. I know what that's like." He said simply as he went back to his food.

They sat in semi-comfortable silence, as comfortable as you can get when everyone's stare is pointed at you. Evan quickly finished the refreshing French cuisine and turned to his table partner in curiosity.

"Zane, right? Zane Truesdale?" Evan called out to the boy, who shifted his attention from his – is that a sandwich with nothing on it? – sandwich to Evan, looking curious.

"Yes."

"Evan Richards."

"I know."

At that, they fell in a silence once again. Albeit it was more comfortable than before. Evan decided to break the silence with what his original mission was when coming here.

"When you graduate, take a detour to Pegasus on your way to the Pro Leagues. He told me he wanted to sponsor you for when you decide to." Evan called out, shocking everyone in the room, more than Zane himself. He was still shocked, but not all that surprised.

"Why would he do that?"

"Said it was a repayment for your Cyber Style master. Something about a debt he owed or something. He also said he would be willing to train you a bit before you decided to go pro."

"Hm… I'll definitely consider it."

"That's more than I can ask for."

They settled into another comfortable silence, only because Evan finally felt comfortable since less glares were off him, ultimately deciding that he was only bringing good news to Zane and decided to leave him alone.

"Richards." Zane called out, stopping Evan from taking his first bite of his bacon and eggs. "How would you like a friendly duel later? I admit I'm curious about those Darklord cards of yours. See how would match up against my Cyber Dragons?"

Evan considered it for a moment, deciding that it only benefited him, and decided to nod. "Of course. Give me a place and time, I'll be there."

"Of course. But give me your DA Link. I want this to be relatively private." Zane said, making Evan agree and nod to him as he gave the older boy his PDA. DA Link was the most commonly used social messaging app on their PDA's, and it was fairly good. Hidden from the eyes of the staff and ultimately untraceable other than from the respective phone.

Perfect app for doing drug deals. Probably not the best to use for a boarding school though.

It was later that night when Evan thought that he had made the wrong decision to accept the duel. Due to the news of his upcoming duel with Zane, everyone he knew was trying to message him and ask what was going on. One particular person he wasn't excited about texting him was Euliya, who he knew was mad at him for whatever reason.

"?" Was the only thing she sent him, and he knew then and there that she was mad at him. He was waiting for the inevitable message that she was going to send him again, but it never came. About twenty minutes later, he still had no message again from her, so he was getting worried.

His thought process was interrupted by a rapt knocking at his door. The knocking was rough and loud, something that was uncharacteristic for the food delivery. Deciding that he was too hungry to ignore it and wait, he got up, not even realizing his mistake of no top. He was wearing his grey sweatpants that he had on regularly, and mistakenly thought he had on a shirt as well.

He moved to the door, wiping the sleep from his eyes. He turned the handle, yawning as he did.

"Thanks for the delivery-."

.

.

.

Instead of the classic delivery driver he was waiting for, when he looked down, he was met with the all too familiar head of pink hair. Her amber eyes were narrowed at him, and he could simply see the annoyance pouring off of her in waves.

Deciding that today wasn't the day he wanted to die, he started to close the door. There was no reaction, so he decided to close the door all the way. Before he could though, a foot was caught in between the door and the frame, making him sweat.

"What do you think you're doing?"

That one sentence that was spoken to him on the other side of the door sent chills down every surface of his body. He poked his eye out from the crack of the door and saw her looking up at him with her judgemental eye, making him sweat more.

"Nothing."

That was obviously the wrong answer, as he could see a tic mark appear on the side of her head. "You should be doing nothing, you big oaf! What were you thinking, challenging the best player in this school?!" She yelled at him as she slammed the door open, making Evan flinch.

She didn't seem to notice his state of dress earlier, as when she saw Evan's shirtless body, she blushed wildly. Evan's figure wasn't overly built, but it was obvious that he frequented working out.

"He asked me for a challenge." Evan said simply, sighing as he opened the door fully and stepped out of the way, allowing space for Euliya to enter his room.

She did so with a blush, but not before glaring at him once again. As she walked in, she sweat-dropped at the state the room was in. The room was fairly clean except for a pile of clothes and a trash can filled to the brim with delivery food.

"You couldn't clean up even a little bit?" She asked as she moved to sit down on the bed that was without the blanket, seemingly having fallen off the bed.

"I didn't know you were coming." He said simply as he moved over to his closet after closing his door. He opened the door to his closet and pulled out his favourite hoodie, which was plain black with a single rose stitched onto the chest.

"Sorry about that, but I had to. With how you've been these past few days, I know you wouldn't reply to my texts anyway." She said, giving him another glare, which made him sigh.

He leaned against the wall, facing Euliya. "Sorry, but I just wanted to be non-contact these past few days."

"I get that in all honesty… But you couldn't even explain everything to me?" She asked with an impassive face, staring at the floor, making him raise an eyebrow.

"How so?"

"First the fact that you were Pegasus' son would be helpful, and then explain to me how you got into a duel with Zane in the first place? All of that would be great, but I thought we knew each other enough that you could tell me these things…" A single tear appeared at the corner of her eye, making Evan scratch the back of his head with a sigh.

"You're right. You do deserve an explanation…" He said as he moved over to the bed, sitting next to Euliya, who leaned her head on his arm. "First off… I'm not really Pegasus' son… He just likes to think that."

Euliya looked up at him in surprise. "Really?"

"Yeah… My real parents were close with him in separate ways. My father as you know, is Chris Richards. He expanded the game of Yu-Gi-Oh to other countries for Pegasus and my mother handled the shipment of cards to those countries, which meant that I stayed at Pegasus' place a lot in my childhood." He explained as he pulled out his phone, turning it on and showing Euliya the wallpaper, which was of a young Evan standing next to a sat down Pegasus with a frown.

"What happened?"

"They died." He said simply without emotion, which made Euliya flinch. "My mother was taking care of a shipment when her plane's engine failed, and she crashed into the sea. My father seemingly had enemies that weren't okay with him expanding the game so much, so he was murdered. I didn't learn about any of this until a year later when there was no contact from them." He explained, making Euliya's tears start to fall.

"After that, I stayed at Pegasus' place for the rest of my life and he took care of me, trying to replace the father that I had, and while I appreciated it, it just didn't help." He said nothing after that.

Euliya sensed that he was sad, started to rub circles into Evan's back, making him smile. They sat like that in silence for a couple of minutes before Euliya decided it was her turn.

"Mine's not as sad as yours, but it's what I've lived through. I'm technically royalty in my country." That one-line left Evan shocked, not expecting that at all. "I've lived in England almost my whole life, and I was the bastard child of the King of England, and I've never known that. My mother died when I was young, so I was sent to an orphanage where I've lived my whole life. I only found out about my heritage about two years ago when the nobles of the kingdom over there found out about me and brought me back to the king, who didn't want me, but let me stay in in his palace."

She started to let her tears flow freely, making Evan panic, as he didn't know what to do. He simply decided to stick his arm around her waist and hug her closer to him.

"The Queen didn't want me to stay in the palace, so she decided that she was going to make my life a hell and proceeded to allow any and all f-forms of abuse to befall me." More tears flowed out as she choked, stuttering. "I decided to run away and was homeless for a while before I somehow made my way to Japan and met a family willing to take me in. They kept me there, not caring about my life beforehand and cared for me before I left for Duel Academy." At this point, she was letting her tears flow freely from her face, which Evan didn't really like.

Deciding that he wasn't that comfortable, and doubting that she was too, he proceed to move away, making her look at him confused. Her confusion lasted only a moment as his arms came from behind her and hugged her, making her blush. It didn't last for long though as he laid down on the bed, pulling her with him. She blushed through her tears at his actions but decided that she was going to get comfortable anyway.

She turned around from her position and came face to face with Evan's chest. She moved closer towards it, putting her arms around his waist and letting her tears flow onto his hoodie. While she continued crying, all Evan could do was rub her head gently, trying to comfort her.

"Thank you…"

"For?"

"Everything… Being my friend, listening to me and now letting me cry onto your hoodie…" She explained, making him shake his head.

"You're my friend, Euliya, of course I would." She smiled through her tears, letting a calm silence pass between them.

"…Evan, do you have a girlfriend..?"

"No."

"Oh. Anyone you're interested in?"

"Not yet. I'm sure someone will catch my eye."

She stayed silent at that response, not moving, and trying to make the tears stop flowing. Once she felt her tears stop flowing, she decided to make her move. Moving slowly, she brought her head up to the pillow where Evan's face was, and smiled at him, confusing him.

"I do." She said simply before catching him off guard. She moved her face closer to his, softly placing her lips upon his. She didn't stay for long, but the surprised look on his face was well worth it. "I don't expect an answer yet, but do know that I like you, Evan. I'll be waiting." She stated before moving off of the bed and leaving the room with a small sway in her hips.

What she didn't notice was the massive blush that crept up on Evan's face as soon as she was off the bed.

"What the hell just happened?"

The time was nine pm the day after the event between Evan and Euliya, and there were two figures standing at the edge of the harbour near the lighthouse. These were Zane Truesdale and Alexis Rhodes, who were just staring at the ocean in silence. Deciding to break that silence, Alexis spoke up.

"Do you really want to duel Evan?"

Her question surprised Zane, thinking that he wouldn't question him on this topic. "Yes of course. I plan to duel Jaden soon as well. They beat you, so they should pose a challenge."

With his statement, Alexis shook her head. "Evan's strong, that's for sure. He would probably beat you, but Jaden's a wildcard. I don't even know if he would lose to you either." She explained, making him nod.

A figure in the distance caught Zane's attention. "Speak of the devil." He said, making her turn her head to look at Evan in the distance, who was wearing his usual get-up, except he wore a white hoodie with black linings.

He walked up to them casually, staring out at the ocean as he did so. "Nice spot. Might come here more often."

"It is a good place to think. You ready?" Zane asked the boy, who nodded, grabbing his deck out of his belt pouch.

"Ready as I'll ever be." He said, moving away from them slightly, letting Zane turn on his duel disk and slotting his deck into it.

Evan slotted his deck while Alexis moved to the sidelines, watching the tall boy. "I'll go first, okay Truesdale-san?"

"Go ahead."

DUEL

EVAN – 4000
ZANE – 4000

"Duel!"
"Duel."

EVAN – 6 CARDS

"I'll start this off fairly simple. First I'll play Darklord Ukoback in defence mode, allowing me to send a Darklord card to the graveyard." He started as he grabbed a card that shot out from his deck and discarded it.

Darklord Ukoback – (LV3) – DARK – FAIRY – (700/1000)

"I don't have anything else, so I'll place two cards face down and end my turn." He stated, making two cards appear face-down on the field.

ZANE – 6 CARDS

"That was simple."

"Thank you."

"Hm. First, since you have a monster and I don't, I'm able to special summon my Cyber Dragon!" He said, putting the card on his disk. Once he did so, a snake made of metal appeared on the field, staring menacingly at Evan's monster.

Cyber Dragon – (LV5) – LIGHT – MACHINE – (2100/1600)

"Hm, no wonder you're the strongest on this island."

"Thank you, but that's not the end. Next I'll be normal summoning my Heavy Mech Support Platform in defence mode!" At his call, a small spaceship appeared on the field.

Heavy Mech Support Platform – (LV3) – DARK – MACHINE – (500/500)

"Next, I'll be attacking your Ukoback with Cyber Dragon!" The serpentine monster moved to attack but was suddenly stopped when a card on Evan's field revealed itself.

"Wrong. I play my trap card, Darklord Enchantment!"

"What does it do?"

"Let me show you. By sacrificing my Darklord Ukoback, I can take control of one of your monsters for the rest of this turn! And I choose Cyber Dragon!" The serpentine monster charged again, but instead of attacking, it settled onto Evan's side of the field with a darker tint to it.

"Hm. Wise. I'll place one card face down and pass." Zane said as the card appeared, and once it did so, Cyber Dragon once again moved to stand on Zane's field.

EVAN – 4 CARDS

"I draw." He grabbed the card that shot out from his disk and smiled before he looked at the rest of the cards in his hand. "This time, it won't be so simple. This time, I activate my Darklord Nasten's effect! His effect allows me to discard two cards to the grave so I can special summon him to the field." He discarded the two cards before placing Nasten's card onto his disk, making the bull-like monster appear on the field, huffing at the mechanical dragon.

Darklord Nasten – (LV7) – DARK – FAIRY – (2600/2600)

"Next, I'll be activating the card I just drew, Banishment of the Darklords! This allows me to search for one Darklord card from my deck." He grabbed the card that flew out, ignoring Zane's stoic and calm face. "Now, I'll immediately play it. Darklord Contact! If you don't know, I'll tell you. I can now special summon one Darklord card from my graveyard in defence position, and I choose my Darklord Superbia!" The monster that appeared on the field surprised Zane, but he said nothing, though he gained a sweat on the back of his neck.

Darklord Superbia – (LV8) – DARK – FAIRY – (2900/2400)

"And his effect is that if he's summoned from the graveyard, I can special summon another one of my Darklords! Come to the field Darklord Nergal!" The monster appearing on the field reminded Zane and Alexis of those sorcerers of old.

Darklord Nergal – (LV8) – DARK – FAIRY – (2700/2500)

"Now my field is complete! What do you think, Truesdale-san?" He asked the stoic boy, who merely shook his head.

"You know how to play your monsters, but is this all you can do?"

Evan laughed a little bit at that. "Of course not. Darklord Nasten, go and attack that Cyber Dragon!" The bull monster huffed from its nose before charging at the mechanical dragon.

Zane smirked before pointing his hand at Evan. "Not so fast. I play my trap card, Attack Reflector Unit!" The only other card on Zabe's field revealed itself, making Evan smile.

"And what does that one do?"

"This one allows me to tribute one Cyber Dragon in order to special summon from my deck Cyber Barrier Dragon!" Cyber Dragon was destroyed and then was quickly replaced by another taller mechanical dragon that had a ring around its neck.

Cyber Barrier Dragon – (LV6) – LIGHT – MACHINE – (800/2800)

Nasten continued its attack on the cyber monster and was stopped by a barrier that appeared around the monster, sending Nasten back to Evan's side of the field, while Evan took a little bit of damage.

EVAN – 3800
ZANE – 4000

"That was smart. I would've thought you had a Mirror Force or something like that."

"I wish I drew that." Zane smiled while looking at Evan's side of the field.

"Well let me tell you this now. My Darklord Nergal has a nice little effect. When facing a defence monster, the difference between that monster's defence and Nergal's attack gets dealt to you!" As he said that, Zane gained a cold sweat as he watched Evan's monster aim its hand at his Support Platform. "Nergal, bring that ship down!"

The Darklord monster began to collect red energy from its hand, and it formed a small ball before it was shot towards the carrier ship, making an explosion. The shockwave of the explosion made both Zane and Alexis cover their eyes as dust collected. Zane's life points also took a hit from the shockwave.

EVAN – 3800
ZANE – 1800

"Very nice, Richards. That was a good play, and I can see you have a great understanding of your cards, but it's my turn now!" He drew the card from his deck to start his turn.

"What happened?!"

The voice that came from the distance broke Alexis' concentration. She turned in the direction of the voice to find her friend, Euliya, coming towards her. She was sweating and breathing hard, indicating that she was running.

"Euliya! Thought you weren't coming?"

"N-No, I was, but I'm sorry I'm late!" She said as she came to a stop next to Alexis, keeling over.

"It's fine. Though they're halfway through the duel right now."

"Who's winning?" She asked, still trying to catch her breath.

"Evan currently. Zane just took damage from Evan's piercing monster."

Euliya looked happy when she said that which confused Alexis, but she decided not to dwell on it. A girl's feelings shouldn't be pried into after all.

ZANE – 4 CARDS

"To start my turn off, I'll be using the spell card Monster Reborn in order to bring back my in order to bring back my Cyber Dragon from the graveyard!" The serpentine monster appeared next to its lookalike once more.

Cyber Dragon – (LV5) – LIGHT – MACHINE – (2100/1600)

"Next, I'll be using another spell card, Power Bond! This allows me to fusion summon machine monsters and the monster that appears will have double the attack points. By fusing together my Cyber Dragon on the field and the one in my hand, I fusion summon Cyber Twin Dragon!" A swirl had appeared and sucked the Cyber Dragon up before sucking up the card in Zane's hand before appearing again and making a bright light.

Once the light died down, the monster had appeared on the field, which was a larger Cyber Dragon, but it instead had two heads, and more attack points.

Cyber Twin Dragon – (LV8) – FUSION – LIGHT – MACHINE – (5600/2100)

"With my Twin Dragon on the field, this duel is finished! Cyber Twin Dragon, attack his Darklord Nasten!" The dragon opened both of its mouths and fired a beam that connected in mid-air and went straight for the bull. The monster exploded, forcing Evan to cover his eyes as well as take some damage.

EVAN – 800
ZANE – 1800

"Evan.." Euliya worried under breath, which Alexis heard.

"It's alright Euliya. If he loses this then he'll know that he needs to improve." Alexis said as she crossed her arms. Truth be told, she didn't think Evan was going to win, but he's proven her wrong once before.

"I believe he can do it. He still has a face down after all."

"True, but how useful is it going to be?"

They stayed silent after that.

"Now, since my Twin Dragon can attack twice, I will now attack your Nergal and end this duel!" The mechanical twin dragon opened its maws once again but was halted by the flipping of Evan's other face down he had.

"Wrong! By destroying Nasten, you've allowed me to activate my other trap card, Darklord Rebellion!"

Zane swore to himself as he watched his twin dragon's attack be stopped. "What does that do?"

Evan grinned, creeping out Zane and Alexis from the menacing smile. "This allows me to sacrifice one monster in order to destroy one of yours! I destroy my Darklord Superbia in order to destroy your Cyber twin Dragon!" Both of the monsters were ingulfed in a bright light, and then they were both destroyed. "Now what can you do? From my understanding, Power Bond makes you take damage according to your Twin Dragon's attack points, so now what?"

"That would normally be true, if I didn't have this!" He showed the only card he had in his hand, a monster. "This is Cyber Kirin! And using my normal summon, I can bring him to the field and use its effect."

"Damn…"

"It seems you know it. By allowing me to tribute it, it makes any effect damage I take become zero!"

Cyber Kirin – (LV3) – LIGHT – MACHINE – (300/800)

"Goodbye Kirin, and goodbye damage." Zane said after Kirin was reduced to pixels by its own effect. "With that, I end my turn."

EVAN – 1 CARD

"I'm not in the most favourable position right now, but this will have to do." He said as he stared at the card he drew. "I activate the spell card, Monster Reborn! I'm gonna use it in order to bring back my Darklord Superbia and as I'm sure you know; he allows me to special summon one more monster. Along with Superbia, come to the field Darklord Tezcatlipoca!"

Darklord Superbia – (LV8) – DARK – FAIRY – (2900/2400)

Darklord Tezcatlipoca – (LV9) – DARK – FAIRY – (2800/2100)

At the appearance of the two monsters, Zane gained a sweat on the back of his neck, realising that this might be the way he loses.

"Now since they're back on the field, I have a chance of winning! Superbia, attack that Cyber Barrier Dragon!" Superbia charge at the dragon headfirst making the monster put up its barrier on instinct, but it was broken quickly by the other winged monster. The dragon was reduced to pixels, making Zane's field completely empty. "You know what to do now, boys! Attack my opponent and win this duel!"

Darklord Tezcatlipoca and Darklord Nergal both moved to attack him, appearing in front of Zane, and sending a punch that phased through the boy, but made him fall to his backside and reducing his life points to zero.

EVAN – 800
ZANE – 0000

EVAN – WINNER

"As expected." Evan said to himself as he pocketed his deck after the holograms disappeared from the field. He walked over to the other boy, who was nursing his head, and offered a hand to help him up. "Good duel, Zane-san."

Zane accepted the hand and pulled himself up before smiling. "It was. Thank you, Evan-san. I haven't lost like that in a long time. It was fun."

Evan nodded his head and smiled to him before turning to Alexis, only realising that Euliya was there too. He blushed and turned away, which Alexis noted.

"Good duel guys." Alexis greeted with a smile, making Zane smile as well.

"It was fun for sure. I might have a new training buddy that can actually keep up with me now." Zane stated as he closed his eyes with a smile, thinking about the idea of him and Evan actually being friends. 'Who knows I need one after Atticus' disappearance…'

"A training buddy? Wow, you've really changed, Zane." Alexis noted as she looked at the small smile on Zane's face.

"For the better I hope." He said as he started to walk away. He stopped for a second as he turned back towards Evan, who was staring out at the ocean. "I'll text you to see if you wanna duel again. I'd like to rematch and see if I can win."

Evan said nothing, but he nodded, making Zane smile and start to walk away, Alexis in tow. She decided to walk away with Zane so that those two could have some alone time.

After they were a noticeable distance away, Euliya decided to stand next to Evan, not noticing the blush on his face. "So… Have you thought about it at all?"

Evan said nothing, but he nodded his head, making her gain a small smile.

"And?"

He said nothing once again, leaving the question in the air for a few minutes. Finally, he decided to speak. "Not…" As he started, she gained a downtrodden look on her face, but perked up when he continued. "…Not yet. I-I… You took my first k-kiss yesterday… I don't know what to do."

She smiled at him sadly but nodded her head and wrapped herself around his arm.

"That's fine, big guy. Take all the time you need, but I can teach you as well." She explained, making him nod.

"I know. I'm just not ready yet."

"Okay."

A silence crept up between them, which lasted for a few more minutes, before Euliya pulled herself off his arm and started to walk away.

"Well, I'll be one text away. Let me know if you have an answer, okay big guy?" She asked, which he nodded to.

After she finally gained some distance from him, he frowned to himself as he watched the calm ocean while feeling the night sky breeze on his body. 'I'm not ready. I have to evaluate the students. Then I'll give her an answer.'

As he thought this, Arcana Knight Joker appeared next to him, a confused look on his face. "You don't have to wait, Master. She is someone you call a friend, and someone you told your past to. She's perfect for you as well. She's royalty, you're technically royalty."

The duel monster spirit started to list off reasons they should date, making Evan gain a tic mark on his head. "Not helping, Joker."

"Sorry, My Lord."

"…" Evan thought to himself for a moment. "That is a good point though."

"Right?"

Half an hour passed while he was standing at the harbour, and he finally decided to go to his dorm after standing in silence for so long. Deciding to check what his DP gain was after his duel with Zane, he checked his PDA.

He had to quickly restart his phone.

Again.

And again.

Finally, he realised that the number just wasn't going away. 'I can't believe it. This is ridiculous.'

To be continued…

Quick A/N: I'd like to say that I'm actually having fun writing this story. I don't know if people are reading because my is glitched and won't show me the view count, but I'm going to keep writing for everyone. Next chapter is going to be the Titan arc, so be strapped in everyone. I was actually hoping to fit it into this chapter, but I blinked and the week was already done, so I didn't have enough time, but hope you enjoyed! Same time next week!
