Binding The Galaxy Together
Chapter 34: The Prelude
As the morning sun shone in through the windows, the door of the principal's office was unlocked early at U.A. High. Nezu walked into his office carrying a new tea set to replace the one that was destroyed yesterday. Today was certainly going to be interesting one way or the other. Originally, he had intended for a meeting to be held with all the teaching staff for a debriefing of yesterday's events and brainstorming for how the security of the school could be improved. That conversation was now slated for tomorrow morning. Today was going to be focusing on the other big aspect of yesterday's fiasco: a certain blind redhead.
Right after she and the rest of the group left his office, Nezu got on the phone to give Tsukauchi a call, requesting any and all real information that was recorded on Camilla Sharro. It turned out, there was none, as he suspected. Since she's a human being, it makes sense that Earth's first visitor wouldn't need much documentation to walk around freely. Unfortunately, that most likely wouldn't last forever. The forged records could serve her well enough for a short time later, but if the Jedi was serious about becoming a hero, then she needed something more concrete. The Hero Public Safety Commission was, unfortunately, still a thing. Their disregard for morality whenever it suited them was often a thorn in Nezu's side. But they were also one of the school's biggest sources of funding. So in most matters, he would often abide by their wishes. However, this Jedi child was to be kept from them at all costs. Camilla could handle herself just fine as she's proven time and time again, but Nezu was more than willing to fight for her in this case. The girl needed real citizenship. And thanks to a few strings he could pull, he might just be able to make it happen. Camilla would just be in for another test later down the line.
As he reached the desk, Nezu set the box holding his new tea set atop it and began to work on opening it. Before he could open up the flaps, he heard the ringtone of his phone play in his ears. Taking it out of his pocket, the front screen of his phone displayed Ryukyu's name and number. Smiling, he tapped the answer button.
"Good morning, Ryukyu. May I assume this call will contain an answer?"
As said answer passed through his ears, the chimera rodent smiled even wider as the gears in his mind began to shift into high gear thinking of the plan he was going to be setting into motion.
"Splendid! I'm happy to hear Miss Sharro agreed with my sentiments. I'll get started on my end with the teachers and other students. Those who agree will meet you at your agency tonight."
He may have neglected to tell her this, but Nezu's idea for where this entire thing would go down would be at the Dragon's Den Agency. Considering it was a well known building of a top ten hero and the place where Camilla resided for the longest time, it could be considered neutral ground for both parties involved. Judging by the first part of Ryukyu's response to the proclamation, it was indeed a surprise to her as Nezu thought it would be.
"Yes, I'm aware I didn't bring this up with you earlier. And I do apologize for that. But I strongly believe your agency would be the perfect place to have this conversation. Not to mention, you did tell me it wasn't far from where her ship was being held in storage."
That was the other factor in the choice of location. According to Camilla, the last time she told her tale, it wasn't until her ship was shown off that she was truly believed. Given how many people this could potentially host, chances were high for that sort of move being needed again.
"I'm glad you see where I'm coming from, Ryukyu. Now then, I need to make some calls myself to get this train moving. I'll let you know when that business is concluded so we can work out a time table."
With a press on the screen, the call ended. The box holding Nezu's new tea set would have to wait. There were now more pressing matters to attend to. It took a lot of phone calls but Nezu was able to get in contact with the families of all eighteen other class 1-A members. Each call was for the same reason: to ask the parents of the children if they would be alright with returning to campus today for a short while. He explained it wasn't for any special class or anything, it was just to have a conversation about yesterday in private with them. Nothing to get worried about in the slightest. While most families were easy to convince, some others weren't so thrilled to have their kids return there after they were almost killed yesterday. Nezu understood but still insisted that this talk was necessary towards rebuilding the strength of trust between the teachers and the students. The heroes let them down yesterday, and he wanted to fix it.
It wasn't a total lie. He fully intended to apologize wholeheartedly to these children for allowing those villains onto campus. But they did not need to be made aware of the other reason they were being called in.
So now here he stood, in front of the door that led to U.A.'s main auditorium. The time on the clock read 10:00 AM. From outside, he could hear the conversations between multiple parents and students become lost in a fog of speech like static on an old television. When he opened the door, all the noise ceased. Then Nezu walked in and looked around. The eighteen students were all there with their parents close by. Most of them anyway. The only one he questioned was the person Shoto Todoroki had brought along. There was definitely a family resemblance with the hair color but this woman looked far too young to be his mother.
The teachers were mixed in with the crowd, receiving a few tongue lashings from the concerned mothers and fathers. Even Aizawa was there. His arm was in a sling, but other than that, the man barely looked like he had been in a fight at all. Camilla had dropped the tidbit about her bacta substance but to see its results up close was truly a sight. Recovery Girl would be envious once she found it. The only one who wasn't here yet was Detective Tsukauchi, which was fine. This first part of the meeting didn't require him anyway.
Between them all were several rows of removable chairs, which was more than enough to accommodate them all.
"Thank you all for coming. Please, if you wish, be seated."
At the request, everyone took a seat in the chairs provided with each family sitting together, and the teachers sitting off on the other side. Then Nezu walked up the middle aisle of the sorted chairs and stood before everyone. He looked out to his crowd, and as he thought, the faces were mixed with anger and worry. He was just about to speak when one of the students interrupted him.
"Wait. We're not all here. Midoriya still hasn't arrived," Eijiro pointed out.
"Uraraka and her family aren't here either," Momo added.
The principal nodded at the two's observations.
"I'm afraid for reasons I cannot disclose, Mister Midoriya and Miss Uraraka will not be joining us."
His eyes scanned out across the crowd to observe their reactions. Like he suspected, they were mostly confused. The only two that stood out were Katsuki and Shoto. The former only glared and scowled at the new info as if it was some sort of slight against him. Shoto merely remained stoic, as if it came as no surprise to him that two of his classmates were purposefully excluded.
"First and foremost," Nezu began in earnest with a bow. "Allow me to apologize to you parents. Your children should not have been forced to go through such harrowing experiences this early into their heroic education. It's our jobs as pro heroes to ensure that such things never happen. Yesterday, we failed our jobs, and your children paid the price. And for that, again, I offer you my deepest apologies."
Nezu remained in his position while the sound of footsteps approaching could be heard.
"From me as well."
Aizawa bowed too, careful not to strain his arm in the process.
"It was my job to protect them and ensure they didn't need to fight, but I wasn't fast enough to prevent that. Whatever pain or emotional trauma they're going through right now is on me."
One by one, the rest of the pro hero staff of U.A. stood up and joined the principal and Erasure hero by bowing and offering their own apologies for the tragedy yesterday.
"Yeah that's all well and good," one father spoke up. "But what does that mean for our kids? How are you going to ensure some crap like this doesn't happen again?"
Nezu ceased bowing and looked up to view Kyotoku Jiro glaring daggers at him.
"Suffice it to say, our security measures will be going through a complete renovation to better protect your sons and daughters during their time here at U.A. High."
"That doesn't sound like much."
That argument came from a woman standing next to Momo, no doubt the girl's mother. Her well dressed and groomed form made that certain. The man next to her, well coiffed as well and wearing a business suit, seemed to mirror the woman's skepticism.
"This is supposed to be the top hero school in Japan. The word is this place's security is second only to Tartarus prison. Yet an entire group of low level thugs made their way inside. How?" Mrs. Yaoyorozu asked.
"Like we said, we regret everything that happened yesterday. But the sad reality is, there are millions of quirks that are just plain unpredictable," Ectoplasm took a turn to speak. "Portal and warping quirks being the most thereof."
Then Power Loader stepped forward.
"I'm the head tech in charge of all the school's security systems. It won't be much, but I can look over the coding and overhaul it in the places where it needs to be."
That was his go to line when it came to concerns like this. Nezu had heard it many times worded differently. Power Loader was essentially saying he was indeed going to look through the systems for any tweaks he could make, but there was most likely nothing substantial he could do. It was like Ectoplasm said: portal quirks, though a rarity, were entirely unpredictable. Nezu would legit be surprised if the entire support class could find a way to detect such a thing that didn't involve another quirk.
Still though, the parents seemed to be at ease once Power Loader gave them his assurances. Some of them, at least.
"Do you honestly think that will keep them safe? They're still just kids!" a lady with black hair tied into a tail rested her hands on Eijiro's shoulders.
"Oh cut the cord already!" another lady, a spiky haired blonde, turned back to her fellow mother and snapped without hesitation.
"Mitsuki…honey…don't," her brown haired husband begged.
Alas, he went unanswered. Mitsuki now looked like she was on a mission.
"This is a damn hero school! They have internships with heroes who take them out into the streets! You had to know this when you wrote that check to pay for your kids' tuition here!"
"That doesn't mean I'm OK with villains breaking into the school during class time!"
"Are you honestly trying to say that you're fine with villains attacking your son?!" another father, this one being Hanta's father, shouted at Mitsuki.
"Of course not, ya fuckin dumbass! But at least I have enough brain in my head to know that's literally the shit they're training for. So stop getting your panties in a bunch!"
"Could you be more rude?!"
"That a fuckin challenge?!"
"HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEYYYYY!"
The shrill sound of Present Mic's voice was always the perfect tool for crowd control. Immediately all the voices quieted down, and Katsuki looked less like he wanted to destroy something out of sheer annoyance. Or maybe a little more. It was always hard to tell with him.
"Please everyone. Keep your heads clear," the bipedal rodent requested. "You entrusted your children's safety to us and made no mistake. We take that extremely seriously here. I know the events of yesterday won't sit well with any of you. But I ask of you to have faith in us, and your children to have everything handled from here on out."
Placating troubled parents was always such a chore. Still it was a part of the job, and he wouldn't trade it for anything. Mostly. Before he could go on, the sound of the door clacking opened caused the principal to stop and look. Dressed in his usual trench coat and hat, there was the detective. When he looked back at Nezu, he raised up his hand which held a manila envelope and nodded to him. That was all the confirmation Nezu needed to move on.
"What perfect timing. Detective, please come in."
Every face in the crowd turned back to look at the policeman as he walked up and placed the envelope on the podium before turning back to the students, parents, and teachers.
"Good morning. For those of you who don't know me, my name is Naomasa Tsukauchi. I'm a detective with the Musutafu Police Force. My squad and I were present yesterday to help with the aftermath of the attack. And parents, I after taking the time to talk with your children, you should be very proud of them."
A smile graced his lips as he removed his hat.
"They may be young and inexperienced, but every one of your children handled their respective situations just like any hero worth their salt would. Then they upped the ante by getting out of it with minor scrapes."
A few sets of parents, such as the ones for Tsuyu, Momo, Denki, and Koji all smiled at their children with pride.
"Now it's time to get to business. I'm here for a reason and that reason is to have a private conversation with your children. There's another matter regarding yesterday that needs to remain confidential."
"Confidential? What about all this could possibly be worth keeping from us?" a man with pink-colored skin asked as a shoulder went to his equally pink daughter's shoulder.
A lot of the kids suddenly began to look uneasy though they were trying hard to hide it. Before they could ask questions, Tsukauchi spoke again.
"I understand your hesitance. But let me assure you this is all just standard procedure for an instance such as this. And due to the nature of a few of these events, this must all be strictly confidential. Please do be aware, your children are not in any danger anymore. I promise you that."
Again, a wave of uneasiness seemed to wash across the pack of parents and guardians in the room. For a few moments, none of them moved, until finally, one of them did. A frog-like woman, obviously Tsuyu's mother, assured her daughter that she and her father would be right outside. Then the two made their way to the door hand in hand. Then the other parents followed them. The whole thing lasted a minute or two, but finally, Nezu had gotten to where he had wanted to get. It was just him, the detective, and the people who truly needed to be here.
"And now I wish to move onto the last portion of this meeting. Afterwards, you will all be free to go. Detective?"
"Thank you, Nezu." Tsukauchi stepped forward and stood by Nezu's side and looked out to the classroom. "Again, I'm sorry that you went through what you did yesterday. But like I said before, you should all be proud of yourselves. You handled the situation well and got out unscathed."
"Physically at least," Denki interjected. "Until…you know…that happened."
And there it was. The slightest reminder yesterday's "finale" so to speak, caused all the students to enter into a visible state of unease. Even some of the teachers slouched a bit as they recalled the memory. Well, best rip the band-aid off now.
"That's…actually what we wish to speak with you all about," the detective began again. "After some lengthy conversations and deliberation with multiple parties, it has been decided by Principal Nezu that Camilla Sharro will not be expelled from your class. She will be rejoining you in full come Monday."
…
…
…
Three whole seconds of silence was all that passed before all hell broke loose from students and teachers alike.
"WHAT?!"
"SHE'S COMING BACK?!"
"WHY?!"
"HAVE YOU LOST IT?!"
There were only a select few throughout the crowd that didn't seem to react negatively, those being Kyoka Jiro, Fumikage Tokoyami, and Shoto Todoroki. Everyone else, student and teacher alike, reacted exactly how Nezu predicted them too. With unrelenting disbelief.
"Silence, please."
With a raise of his paw, and barely any raising of his voice, the room quieted back down again. Present Mic wasn't the only one who excelled in crowd control. He didn't brag much about it, but Nezu did oh so love it when people listened to him immediately because he was the principal of U.A. and nothing else needed to be said.
"I'm sure you all have questions," he said.
"Principal, forgive me but I have all the questions," Midnight spoke first.
"Save for Eraser, we were all there yesterday," Cementoss said. "We saw what Sharro did."
"How can you possibly justify keeping her here after yesterday's fiasco?" Vlad King asked.
"Because Kan, I have recently been made aware of a few truths. These truths are what made me reconsider my stance."
"What truths?" Aizawa asked. "If you're intending on keeping her in my class, don't you think I should know these truths too?"
"I'm glad you brought that up, Aizawa," Nezu said before turning back to the students. "You see everyone, Miss Sharro does indeed have her secrets. And I was informed earlier this morning that she wishes to tell you all what those secrets are. If anything, to help you all understand more exactly what happened. But we've hit a little bump in the road. Due to the gravity of this situation, Detective Tsukauchi and I have put our heads together to ensure the next steps are in the interest of all parties involved. Detective, if you would."
Nodding, Tsukauchi stepped forward once more, grabbing the folder he brought off the podium.
"I know what you all saw yesterday. And I know you all have questions that you want answered. Well, after speaking to Miss Sharro, she's decided to answer them."
"Wait. Is she here right now?" Minoru began to tremble in pure fear.
"No. She's at home. I'm here in her place to let you know that she is ready to tell you everything she's been keeping from you since you met her. You're not going to be forced to listen to her. The choice of whether or not you want to is still yours. But for those who do want to hear her out, then you need to sign this first."
The detective flipped open the lid of the folder and brought out a small stack of papers. The papers were set onto the podium and a pen was set next to it. When he looked back, the ever-growing confusion, and in some cases frustration, was as clear as day.
"Ribbit, what is that?" Tsuyu croaked.
"This is a Non Disclosure Agreement," Tsukauchi answered. "The information Miss Sharro wishes to tell you all is extremely private and only already known about by me and a select few other people. Those other people, myself included, wanted to take precautions to make sure this private matter stays private. So we came up with this. By signing that agreement, you're officially saying that you will not utter a word of whatever Miss Sharro tells you to anyone other than the people who are already aware of it. Not your outside friends, not your families, not other U.A. students, nobody. If any of you were to sign this and break the agreement later, serious legal consequences would be in order. But since suing children isn't an option without letting your families know about it, we have to go a different route. I spoke to Principal Nezu and he agreed with me. You sign this contract here and you blab, then you can consider yourself expelled from U.A. High School permanently."
Immediately the room went so cold, it felt as if Shoto was using his power in some way. Nezu looked out to both the children and the other teachers. The latter of which now equaled the kids in terms of facial expressions and clear running emotions. It wasn't that Nezu liked to play games…actually yes he did. A lot. But this wasn't a game this time. This secret was too huge to beat around the bush with and the best security was needed for it, for both students and his teaching staff.
Tsukauchi and him seemed to be on the same wavelength seeing as how the cop turned to the side to address all the present teachers.
"That goes for all of you too," he said to them. "I know it's meaningless to remind you of this, and I know you can keep a secret. But I wouldn't be doing my job if I didn't cover all my bases. Should you choose to sign the agreement, and you let word slip about what you hear to anyone who didn't sign, you will be terminated from your position without hesitation."
Of course they all knew the strength of an NDA. It was common knowledge for any pro hero these days what signing one implied. Still though, this seemed like overkill.
"What kind of secret could one teenage girl have that could possibly warrant all of this, detective?" Aizawa asked, a mixture of anger and annoyance.
"I can't say anything beyond that. But I will say this." Tsukauchi looked back to the eighteen present kids. "The choice whether to sign or not is entirely up to you. Do keep in mind though if you don't, then you will be permanently left in the dark by both Miss Sharro and those who do agree to hear her out. Your classmates will be under the contract to not say a word as well. The sensitivity of this information had made such actions like this necessary. I'm sorry but that's how it is."
Silence radiated like a roaring fire in the room as everyone processed what was just laid out before them. To them, Camilla Sharro was just another typical teenage girl, save for her blind eyes. If they didn't have questions about her before, they certainly had them now. That much was obvious. Now the only question Nezu was awaiting an answer for was, "How many of them wanted answers?" Would only a select few choose to sign and the rest remain in the dark? Would none of them? Nezu had his suspicions about who would take what route but he always enjoyed seeing if events would pan out as he predicted.
The first movements set that into motion.
"Give me the pen."
"Dark Shadow and I wish to sign."
Two students stood up simultaneously and their proclamations seemed to surprise most everyone there. Nezu hid away a small smirk as his little prediction came true. It only made sense that the first two to agree to this would be the same two Camilla originally wanted to tell in the first place.
As they approached the podium, Fumikage slowed himself to allow Kyoka the honor of signing first. Once her fingers grabbed the pen, the girl looked closer, seemingly giving the contract a speed read. Then she moved to sign her name down at the bottom.
"Jiro, hold on!" Denki stood up. "Are you sure about this? Doesn't this whole thing strike you…well…weird?"
"Yeah seriously. Back up for a second." Rikido looked to his avian classmate. "Do you two really think this is a good idea?"
"My willingness to comply has nothing to do with whether it's a good idea or not," Tokoyami straightly stated. "The simple truth is Sharro saved mine and Jiro's lives back at the U.S.J. Her later actions aside, I feel I owe her at least this."
Kyoka nodded, fully agreeing with her classmate.
"Also, she promised us that she would tell the two of us alone. So either way, we're gonna learn the whole truth about her. And we're gonna listen."
With that, Kyoka turned back around and pressed the head of the pen into the paper, signing her name on the dotted line. Then she passed the pen to Fumikage who promptly signed his name under Kyoka's.
"I will too."
Nezu's lips smiled again as he watched Shoto stand up and walk towards the contract. Then he took the pen from Dark Shadow's claw after the sentient quirk signed his own name down.
"Are you guys serious?! She murdered someone! Sure, it was a villain but come on!" Minoru squealed.
Shoto's response to the dwarf of a hero student was a harsh glare, living up to his icy reputation.
"Camilla isn't a murderer," Shoto growled. "I don't know what happened to her but I could tell she wasn't herself. Something happened to her in those last seconds before it happened. And I want to know what. Like Jiro said, if she wants to talk, then I'm going to listen."
"…so manly," Eijiro muttered. "Dammit! I'll sign too!"
In a flash, the redheaded boy was at the podium scribbling his name down with Momo, Mashirao, and Toru behind him waiting to take their turn.
"I don't want to condone her actions. I can't." Tenya stood up. "But if I'm going to continue being her class representative, then I must be willing to hear her out!"
He joined the line. Others followed him. Eventually, much to Nezu's surprise, all of class 1-A stood up and formed a line to sign their names down on the NDA. There were only three students that seemed to take longer than the rest to make a decision. One was Yuga Aoyama. The normally flamboyant teen seemed to be thinking quite hard about this decision and performing a lot of mental gymnastics. Eventually though, he got in line behind Denki and waited his turn. Second was Minoru Mineta, who seemed to be afraid for his own life as he took the pen into his hand. One would think the poor boy was holding a live bomb. The last one of those three, the final student to sign the contract, was Katsuki Bakugo. As he signed his name down, maybe he thought he was quiet enough, but Nezu could faintly hear the explosive blond mutter under his breath,
"Fucking Deku and Round Face are gonna pay for making me do this."
Nezu had no idea why Katsuki was cursing other people for the decision he made himself, but that was probably something to address later on. For now, the contract was signed by all eighteen students. All that was left was the teaching staff. Expectantly, he turned to face them.
"Do we even have a real choice in this?" Present Mic wondered. "If she's gonna stay, it only makes sense we know what this whole thing is so we don't get any track repeats."
All the other teachers seemed to be on his wavelength. With a heavy sigh, and a quiet grouse about how he wanted to get back to sleep, Aizawa walked forward, picked up the pen, and signed his own name next to the students. Then it was followed by Mic, Midnight, Cementoss, Ectoplasm, Power Loader, Snipe, Vlad King, and finally Hound Dog. Recovery Girl was the last to sign and Thirteen had been informed ahead of time when she woke up earlier in the morning. She had been the first to sign and ensured she would be there to hear the girl out.
"What about All Might? Shouldn't he sign this too?" Ectoplasm asked.
"And what about Midoriya and Uraraka? If this really is a class thing then how come they aren't here?" Mezo asked.
"All Might, Midoriya, and Uraraka, for reasons to be revealed later, will not be required to sign." Nezu answered.
That only stirred the pot of uneasiness everyone was feeling.
"I really hope this isn't a mistake." Snipe sounded worried.
Then again, he probably had a right to be.
"That will be determined in time," Nezu said. "Since you all have elected to sign, let me remind you once more. Under no circumstances are you to tell anyone outside this room about any of this. You've had the consequences read to you by the detective here, and I am trusting you all to abide by the rules. With that said, the conversation between us all and Miss Sharro will occur at 5:00 PM in the Dragon's Den agency building."
"The Dragon's Den? That's Ryukyu's hero agency," Tenya audibly remembered.
That seemed to get a few kids excited, and some only went back to asking internal questions. Nezu hoped the idea of having this happen at Ryukyu's building would help ease some minds. It didn't seem to work on all of them, but he would take what he could get.
"Yes. The dragoon hero was kind enough to lend us her office as a place for Miss Sharro to explain things. The two of them do have a relationship with one another which will be explained along with everything else."
"But principal, how is she-?"
"I'm sorry, Iida. But I cannot say anything more now. It's now in the hands of your classmate. She will tell you tonight. And I trust you will all be there with an open mind and open ears. Until then, you are all dismissed."
Nezu stepped down and walked away to a nearby door with Tsukauchi trailing him with the NDA now securely sealed inside the folder again. Behind them, the students either got up to leave or stayed behind a moment longer to talk amongst each other. Once they were out the door, they both took a sigh of relief.
"Well, the first step is over with," Nezu murmured.
"Now all that's left is for Camilla to do her part and hope for the best," Tsukauchi agreed.
Only the two of them knew what everyone back in that auditorium was in for tonight. It was of course bound to leave some minds broken. All they could hope for was that time could be a good enough glue.
Hours later, as the sun began its way down over the horizon, anxiety ran high in a pair of buses that were driven from U.A. to the Dragon Den agency, carrying the students and teachers who signed the contract. The children's parents had been fed the cover story that Ryukyu, being one of the witnesses to the attack, had invited all of class 1-A to her agency to go over a few safety drills with each other to help be better prepared for such a thing in the future. It was an easy to swallow story. Whenever a top ten hero is involved, not many questions are asked. As they all loaded off the bus, they looked up to the building of the current number nine hero with mixed emotions. Some were kind of excited to be inside the building itself, most others were nervous about the conversation to come. Still, one thing was certain. This was going to be a long talk.
Two stories above them, in the same room she stayed in for the first few months into her life on Earth, sat Camilla with her legs crossed. Her eyes were closed and her breathing focused as she attempted to meditate. For the past two hours, she had been in that same position, hoping to find some clarity on the coming conversation, and the many problems that may arise from its aftermath. She tried her best to peer into the future, to try and sense something forthcoming that could be of help. Alas, no clear answer came to her. So she rather focused her mind power on trying to steel her nerves for her classmates' and teachers' arrival.
'Why is it the only times I can sense the future, are when I'm not trying to?'
No answer came to her, sadly the usual. The last time she had heard her master's voice was her first experience with that vision a year ago. And she was still no closer to uncovering the truth about that than when she first started. Maybe tonight would bring her closer to the answer, or it would only push them further apart than they were right now. It was a big risk. But it was one she had to take. Detective Tsukauchi had already informed her that he and Nezu had come up with a way to make sure not a word would be spoken to anyone else. Still the nervousness remained. Her attempts to meditate her worries away were proving unsuccessful.
*KNOCK KNOCK*
"Camilla?"
The door pushed open and in came the voice of her draconic guardian.
"They're here, aren't they?" the Jedi asked, already knowing the answer.
"They're coming up now," Ryukyu replied.
Camilla nodded and adjusted her position from cross legged to her knees.
"You're certain all of them are here?"
"Yes. All of them."
"That still surprises me. I thought at least one or two of them wouldn't care enough about this."
"Well it looks like everyone has their own reasons for being here."
Camilla let loose a long breath through her nose as she tried once more in vain to get her nerves under control.
"We'll be right out."
Ryukyu gave her an assuring nod and closed the door. Opening up her eyes and regaining her vision through the Force, she turned to view her droid, ever loyally by her side.
"Ready?"
"As I'll ever be."
The binary sounded unsure, and it was warranted. There was still a part of her that wanted to bail herself. But Izuku, Ochako, Ryukyu, Mirko, and Nejire were all here to support her. Only All Might couldn't make it because he was still recovering.
"Well then…"
The door to the room opened with a nudge from the Force and out Camilla walked out, dressed in her full Jedi garb, minus her lightsabers.
"…let's get this over with."
