Dreams And Wishes
Chapter 5
Love is a very complicated thing.
Brooke took a deep breath as she closed the door to her hotel suite.
And grabbed ahold of her laptop. She signed in and opened the video chat screen.
She needed to figure out a way to explain to her future husband that she needed to stay longer then she had originally planned.
Which she did and the smile on his face faded.
"Why are you putting our life our hold for someone."
"You've barely seen in 5 years.?" He questioned.
"Peyton's pregnant and i've missed out on months already."
"I want to be there for the birth. She's my best friend. This is a very important time in her life. She needs me." Brooke explained.
"Once she has the baby. You'll come right back." He replied.
"Where else would i go." Brooke replied.
...
"I think you need to have someone with you. At all times." Lucas suggested.
"I don't need you or anyone else hovering."
"I want to be treated normally."
"It's all going to work out. I'll have a strong healthy baby."
"For me that's the main reason i did what i did."
"I want him to have everything." Peyton explained.
...
When Peyton gave birth to her son. Brooke was there by her side. From the start to the end. She even cut the umbical cord.
He had curly blond hair. And chocolate brown eyes.
Peyton held him with tears falling from her eyes.
Telling him how much she loved him and an amazing life
He was going to have. Before handing him to his aunt Brooke.
She thanked Brooke for being by her side through the remainder of the pregnancy. And really throughout their life as friends.
Brooke waited in Peyton's hospital room.
Pacing.
A nurse soon brought in the infant.
Brooke rushed to his side. Beaming with excitement and new hope.
"What's taking Peyton so long.?" Brooke asked the nurse.
"I thought Miss Sawyer would of told you."
"She had Ovarian Cancer. And even with the spread of the disease."
"She refused treatment. She didn't want to harm the pregnancy in anyway." The nurse explained.
Brooke felt her heart sink. She felt herself grabbing the hospital bed.
Peyton was died. She knew she was dying and kept it quiet.
Brooke felt tears fall from eyes as her gaze landed on the newborn baby in front of her.
