I had let Lucas go. I watched him go over to Peyton. Winning the state championship game. The barriers between them over. They kissed steps away from me. And i made it seem like i was happy for them. Because everyone expected that of me.
Lucas and Peyton. True love always. Yet i was still very much in love with him.
Peyton was my best friend. If breaking my own heart. Brought her happiness then i could deal with that.
Haley and I were both pregnant. Lucas knew i was.
But Peyton was his heart's desire so who was i to get in the way?
"Do we need to give you an answer right away.?" Lucas asked.
"Take you're time. This is a life altering decision for all involved." The lawyer replied.
The two left the lawyer's office after that.
"I can't believe Peyton didn't give me any warning about this." Lucas said. Once they were in the parking lot.
"Now you have an idea as to how i felt. Finding out about her sickness. At this point. Peyton's secrets aren't relevant."
"She's gone and Larry needs a stable home with parental figures not a foster home." Brooke proclaimed.
"I've got this. You are engaged and aren't living in town."
"This isn't a reason to come back." Lucas said.
"Larry is all i have left of Peyton. I can't ignore that." Brooke said.
"You gave Peyton an unforgettable service. The two of you were closer then ever those past few months."
"Let's be serious. You want more then this town." Lucas added in.
"Come on Larry Eugene Sawyer." Lucas said. Smiling warmly as he scooped up the infant.
"I'm staying at Peyton's. Since he has a room set there and everything. When you have a clearer idea of what's next let's talk." Lucas proclaimed.
