King: New update, despite the fact that the update system on this site is garbage. Not to mention the infrastructure being just as bad... If you want to actually get the updates, this is cross-posted on Ao3 under the name Knoxs_Garden. Thank you and I hope you enjoy the chaper.

As Jaune walked back to the main chamber, he couldn't help but look back up to the proto-CORE. He looked inside, to the floating form of the girl in blue. He turned toward the Skeletal ghost, "So, what now?"
{NOW, WE BEGIN PULLING HER BACK. WHEN THE POWER ACTIVATES AGAIN, PLACE YOUR HANDS ON THE CORE. IT WILL TRY TO PULL YOU IN. USE THAT OPENING TO REACH IN AND RETRIEVE HER INSTEAD. BUT BE WARNED, IT WILL ATTEMPT TO BREAK YOU, SCATTER YOU TO THE MULTIVERSE. DO NOT GIVE IN TO THE VOICE TRYING TO STIR YOUR CURIOSITY. YOU MUST BE VIGILANT, AND KEEP MOVING FORWARD.}
Jaune nodded and turned back to the CORE. "Ready when you are."
Gaster nodded and snapped a lever forward using what magic he could. The lights flickered in the room before going out. However, a glow began to fill the room from the CORE. This was it. Time to be a hero, Jaune thought, though it was a subdued reaction rather than the excited tone he would've had before. His time in the Underground and training with Undyne was having an effect on him.
Once he got the go-ahead, Jaune placed his hands on the old CORE and everything went blank.
\/
Upstairs, the lights flickered and caught both Monsters off guard.
"The heck was that about?" Undyne asked.
But Alphys had a wide eyed moment before clicking away at her computer. "Got it!" After a moment, the reinforcements on the doors slid open. "Score one for Alphys!"
"I'm happy for you, Alphys," Undyne interrupted, "but don't forget my student is still missing thanks to that weird skeleton guy."
"I know. I'm looking." Alphys got back to the cameras. "But he just dropped off the face of the Underground."
"Maybe that power outage has something to do with it?" Undybe offered, but ended up feeling dumb. She wasn't a genius like Alphys, so she was just shooting a shot. Even if it didn't make sense.
But Alphys stopped. She was frozen for a moment before closing the camera feeds and opening a new window. She looked over the power feed and found something that shouldn't have been there. "Oh no."
"What?"
Alphys didn't explain, just running to a door near the back.
"Hey! Where are you going?!" Undyne ran after her, calling out for an answer.

Dark.
Darker.
Yet darker.
There were no words to describe this other than that. No words. No sounds. No light. No feeling. Nothing.
Jaune held up his hand, as if to confirm it was still there. Thankfully, it was, and he could see it just fine. However, all of the life and color had been drained from it. It was weird. He still had his senses, but this place felt so… empty. Like nothing but him existed in here. He knew that wasn't true, since she was still in here somewhere. The girl he was tasked with saving. With a determined nod, he marched forward. He moved with purpose, even if it was difficult to tell which way was truly forward. He just picked a direction and ran with it.
As he moved, he started to feel heavy. It was like everything was weighing on his soul. He couldn't help but think about what could have been. If he got into Beacon…
A flash of light tore him away from his thoughts.
\/
Jaune groaned as he sat up from the bed. What happened? He rubbed his head, not sure what was going on. He remembered marching through the Void to save that girl.
"Hey!" The voice caught him off guard and jolted him awake. There was a girl standing there with ginger hair and aqua eyes. "Come on, fearless leader! We've still got classes!"
"Classes?" He tried to rub the sleep out of his eyes. He also tried to remember who this was.
"Nora," a calmer, more masculine voice called over from the other side of the room. He had black hair with a magenta streak in his bangs and pink eyes, "It's a holiday. We don't have classes today."
"Then why did I get up so early?!"
"I'll make breakfast to make it up to you."
"You're the best, Renny! The Queen demands pancakes!" She rushed over and grabbed the guy and ran out with him.
Jaune was left confused and debated going back to sleep, but he looked around instead. Standing up, he looked over a picture on a desk to the side. It showed Jaune along with the two before and a fourth person, a taller girl with red hair and green eyes. She looked kind of familiar…
He shook his head and looked out the window, his eyes going wide. He was looking at Beacon's courtyard. This was a dorm room on Beacon Academy campus! But how did he get here? Wasn't he doing something before? His head suddenly hurt as he brought a hand to his skull. Everything hurt for some reason. He knew he had something to do, but for some reason his brain wasn't cooperating. But he could feel it deep down… Like it was in his very soul. He felt a pang in his soul that jolted through his body. His entire body was shaking before he threw himself over the side of the bed. His hands clutched onto his head as if to somehow contain the pain.
He grit his teeth and tried to stand up again. What's going on? Why does everything hurt?
One of his hands moved from his head and clutched down over his heart.
Am I having a heart attack? Can I have a heart attack this young?! No. No! I…!
His fingers felt like they clutched onto something before ripping out what looked like a red heart. And like that, the pain stopped. He passed out not long after that, the heart bouncing off the floor, seemingly denying physics to bounce out the window. It kept bouncing, spooking a few students walking around. After a while, it reached the cliffside around Beacon and seemed to leap off the side. Instead of bouncing, it hit the ground with a thud as the body of Jaune Arc materialized around it. However, unlike the Jaune back in the room, this one was in greyscale.
Jaune picked himself up and shook his head, "What happened?"
He was interrupted as another body fell on top of him. "Ow!" The voice of Chara cried out from on top of him. "What the hell was that?"
"Chara?" Jaune looked up to find she'd landed on top of him and was using him like a cushion. "What are you…?"
Chara noticed him and she started to grin a bit wider, "Oh?" She patted her hand against his back before spinning to straddle his back, raising her hand and bringing it down onto his back in a fist. She seemed confused before trying again. "Where's the knife? This is a dream, right?"
"I entered the Core thing, remember? I guess you got dragged along with me for some reason." Jaune used her confusion to push her off his back and sit up properly. He started to examine his hands. "Why am I grey, though?"
Chara groaned and noticed she was grey as well. "Probably something with the Core if I remember correctly. Like we don't belong." She remembered a conversation over this, but it was a while ago. She didn't remember all the details.
"Weird." Jaune stood and brushed himself off. He found his shield and training sword nearby and placed them back in place. "I'm guessing this is what Doctor Gaster meant by trying to tempt me…"
"Speaking of, where are we anyway?" Chara crossed her arms.
"Beacon Academy. Or… I guess a forest outside it." He looked around to get a better idea of what was around them.
Chara rolled her eyes, "Sounds like some prep school for losers."
"Try a training school to fight the Grimm."
"The what? Oh right! The 'soulless monsters' or whatever." Chara added air quotes and mocked the idea. "Listen, there's no such thing as soulless anything. Other than Flowey I guess. But his situation is… unique. Even if Monsters have weaker souls, they still…"
She was cut off by a growl. She looked to the side and seemed to freeze up. Eyes, red, piercing, and hollow. The beast walked out from the brush and revealed a body of black fur and white bone sticking out from its back. It looked like a werewolf, likely a good seven feet tall if it stood up properly. It let out another growl as it looked them over.
Chara slid her foot back in confusion and a hint of fear. "What the hell is that thing?" It felt wrong to look at. It was something unlike anything she'd known before.
As it was about to lunge, Jaune ran over and slammed his shield into its face. "Run!" He moved toward her, grabbed her hand, and ran off and away from the creature.
As Chara ran behind him, being pulled along, she dared a glance back as the creature shook its head and looked at them as they ran. As it let out a howl, Chara called back to Jaune, "What the hell is that thing?!"
"That's a Grimm!" Jaune used every survivalist skill he learned from his family camping trips to move through the forest to avoid a path the Grimm could follow easily with its large size. He tore through the forest as best he could, but he heard it trying to catch up with them. "Keep moving!"
"We should just kill it!" Chara expected him to challenge her. That he would play pacifist like Frisk had before the run.. Instead, she was surprised by his answer.
"With what? I have a shield and a stick! Not exactly useful here!"
"It'll kill if you're DETERMINED enough!"
Jaune grit his teeth before throwing Chara forward as he spun on his heel, swinging his shield around and slamming the metal plate into the Grimm's face. As it reeled back, Jaune swung his arm back and slammed the edge of his shield into its throat for good measure before following up for a second hit. Then a third. Four. With each hit, Chara felt herself recoil. He then swung his shield up and slammed the pointed side of his kite shield down onto the Grimm's neck and actually broke the skin and into its flesh. It wasn't too deep, so the creature was able to push Jaune away with a frustrated growl.
Chara clenched her teeth and tried to use her DETERMINATION abilities to manifest a knife in her hand. But it never came. She tried to push her abilities to activate, but Jaune tackled her to the ground to avoid a swipe on the Grimm's claws. But Beowolves have two hands. A second swipe came along from the side and ready to tear into them both. Jaune wrapped his arms around Chara and swung them both around to have the claw hit his back instead. In that moment, Chara felt his aura wash over her again. She also felt it take a big hit from the strike against his back. They rolled across the ground before Jaune's back hit a tree for good measure. Chara felt his whole soul shake from the impact.
Once they landed, Jaune tried to stand but he was clearly dizzy. Chara was in better shape, but one look into the Grimm's eyes made her freeze. This was so different to before. She was powerful against the monsters, it was kill or be killed… But this? It felt the same, but so different at the same time. It was as if kill or be killed was secondary. That even fighting back won't matter. That there is only despair and death in the cards for anyone. She saw something move at the edge of her vision and looked to the side to see Jaune glowing with a white light around his body. He drew his wooden sword and held up his shield. He was like a light in the darkness, a beacon of hope standing against the despair of the creature before them. She saw something odd…
Despite his greyscale body, his eyes were glowing bright blue. They sparkled like sapphires, deep as the ocean. But behind it all… he was scared. He was terrified that this might be the end, but he still stood tall anyway. His knees would occasionally shake before he seemed to will them to stay strong. He grit his teeth, speaking low, "Its neck is weak… I might be able to capitalize on that."
But life was cruel and a rustling of leaves robbed them of that hopeful thinking. Another wolf stalked through the brush. Then another. Then a fourth. A full pack moved closer and around them. They were only on one side, and Jaune had to make a call. He closed his eyes a moment before dragging his foot on the ground, "Get out of here!"
This caught Chara off guard, "What?"
"GO! I'll hold them off!"
"Are you crazy?! You can't kill them all!"
"Just get moving!" Jaune shouted back at her. He kept his shield forward, ready to defend her retreat.
Chara grit her teeth but ended up more confused. No one did that. No one would actually try to defend her like that. Humans only thought about themselves. It was kill or be killed! … Right? She tried to manifest a knife again, but nothing appeared. Her hands were shaking as tears started to form in her eyes. He was going to die if she ran, but she couldn't do anything to fix this.
"Go already!" Jaune called out to her.
She finally bit down on her courage before standing properly again, "NO! I'm not leaving you here!" She started to glow a bright red before a yellow light enveloped them both. They were both surprised before being swallowed up and disappearing into what looked like a four pointed, yellow star.
\/
Back on the cliffside, a yellow star formed with four points before it was replaced in a flash of light. Jaune and Chara fell onto the ground, neither landing properly, as the light faded out. Jaune picked himself off the ground and looked around, "The cliff? How did we get back here?"
Chara started to laugh slowly as if she found something incredible. She picked herself off the ground with a loud cackling, "I still have my DETERMINATION!"
Jaune shook off some dirt and turned to her, "Hey, so, this might be random, but what do you mean by that? I remember Flowey saying something about determination after he tried to kill me. But it didn't make any sense."
"You don't get it. Not determination. It's DETERMINATION!"
Jaune blinked, clearly lost.
Chara scoffed before addressing him, "It's one of the Powers of the Soul."
Still lost.
"Do you just not know anything?"
"What's aura?"
"Excuse me?" She paused a moment before his point hit her like a ton of bricks. "Touche." She took a moment and breath before explaining. "Before whatever mashed our worlds together, our side of humans had things called the Power of the Soul. Humans can't use magic like monsters, but their souls were powerful enough to manipulate the world around them. These traits are Bravery, Justice, Kindness, Patience, Integrity, Perseverance, and Determination."
"Hang on!"
"What?"
"Aren't Perseverance and Determination the same thing?"
"Maybe the words." Chara brushed off his question, "But as Soul Traits, they're different."
"Okay. So… what do they all do?"
Chara huffed and crossed her arms as if it was such a simple thing to answer. Truth was, she had to actually take a moment to remember what each of them did from her time as a ghost in the Underground… before her. "It's simple." And she started to list them and their abilities.
She held up a finger to indicate the first topic, "First is Bravery. This one mostly affects the user and keeps them from losing themselves to fear. This can affect others as well, acting as an inspiring figure for others and boosting their own abilities. Basic frontline hero stuff."
Jaune nodded, wondering if that would have been his Trait.
A second finger was raised, "Next is Justice. This one allows the Soul to create a projectile they can shoot at others. It's not quite the same as the bullets the Monsters use, but it's the same idea. The more you desire to bring someone to task for their sins, the more powerful the attack."
Jaune nodded, finding sense in that.
Chara gave up on the fingers. "Kindness is pretty straightforward. It's the sign of a Soul that wants to help others. They can use their Soul to heal others. Based on before, that's probably yours."
Jaune blinked and nervously scratched his cheek, not expecting that. But then he thought about what she said, "Wait, what do you mean by…"
But he was cut off as she continued. "Patience is a little weird. Basically, it's the power to observe, plan, and execute with long term thinking. It allows you to take in more information and remember stuff super easily. Patient Souls usually have really good memories."
"That seems kind of weak compared to the others."
"Yeah, but it's all in context. Anyway, Integrity is different in that it's like a permanent lie detector and has the ability to weigh down other Souls. Enough power can actually keep people from moving entirely."
"That could be helpful."
"Mhmm." Chara moved on, "Perseverance is the power to reinforce yourself and other things. You can make your shield stronger, your sword harder, and your body unbreakable. It has a limit, but it's all about making things stronger."
"Okay, so how is Determination different?"
"That's where things get interesting~" Chara grinned, "Depending on how powerful your Trait is, this Trait can do lots of stuff. When you fully control the power, you can even rewrite reality as you want. DETERMINATION the ability to make reality bend to your will. Even if you die, you can just start over until you get a result you want."
"That sounds a little strong!" That idea freaked Jaune out a bit.
"That's the point!" Chara's grin fell a little, but was still there, "But, to be fair, it comes with the drawback that more DETERMINED figures can lock you out from using your power. It's a there can only be one kind of situation."
"O-okay… So, that's your power?"
"Damn right!" Chara placed her hands on her hips and puffed out her chest with pride. "And with it, I can do this!" She held her hand out, but nothing happened. Her smile was gone and now she was just confused. "This!" And again, nothing happened. "What's going on?!"
As she tried to use her power, Jaune's scroll went off. He picked it up and looked over the notification on the screen. "What the…?"
On the screen was a new profile with a weird glitching effect around it. After a moment, it started to settle and showed Chara under a list of Allied Signals. He tapped on her portrait and it showed an Aura bar and some extra information. "Your last name is Dreemurr?"
Chara stopped and turned to him, "What did you say?"
"Sorry. It just appeared on my scroll." He held up his scroll as Chara stormed over to him.
She snatched the device out of his hands and looked at the screen. She looked over the information on screen and was surprised to see her own face and what looked like a HP bar. Then she looked over the rest of the information.
[Name: Chara Dreemurr]
[Current Aura: 83%]
[Semblance: Save State]
Chara raised an eyebrow, "Semblance? What the heck is that? What does it mean by Aura?"
Jaune could at least try to answer that last one, "I don't know too much, but I think Aura has something to do with the Soul. Like… a forcefield made of your Soul that keeps you safe and heals you."
"I…!" Chara was at a loss for words. "Okay! Then what's a Semblance?"
"I don't actually…" He was cut off as his head started to hurt. He heard someone's voice in his head, one he didn't recognize, yet did.
It's like this, Jaune. A Semblance is an extension of your Soul's abilities. It's a reflection of who you are in a way. It grants each person an ability of some kind. As your partner, I'm willing to trust you with mine…
It trailed off before finishing, but Jaune could answer, "It's a power tied to your Soul. Everyone gets one that represents them."
"W-what?!" Chara looked down to her hands and nearly freaked out as a red shimmer flashed over them. "So that was this Semblance thing… Save State." She said the name to herself. "That explains how we got back here, but what are its limits?" She started to clench her hands, as if to find an answer in them. To her surprise, it stirred within. She could 'SAVE' points that she can 'LOAD' into at will. She gets three of them, but she can only feel one within. It was like she had to unlock the others. She growled, but accepted that this world was different. "I guess I can still use this. So, now what?"
"I don't know." Jaune put his scroll away and looked back over the cliff and back toward Beacon. I don't know how to get back to the Void to save that girl…"
Chara grumbled. She narrowed her eyes before finally scoffing, "You should just leave her like that."
"What?"
Might as well at this point. "Listen Jaune, that girl is trouble. I wasn't kidding when I suggested she might be a bad person. She's the one that hammered into my head that it was kill or be killed. She seemed like she was all nice and seemed like she wanted to save the Monsters. But she was just like the others. All she cared about was herself. She went back to do it all again and kill them all."
"What? But how is that possible?"
"DETERMINATION, remember? She was the most DETERMINED person besides me. She's just some sick completionist that wants to see all the endings!"
They both paused as they felt the world warp and twist for a moment.
"What was that?" Jaune asked.
"I don't know…" Chara looked around, as if something would answer them. But nothing appeared. She was wary, but thought she might have an idea what caused it. She smirked to herself for the opportunity. "She was a menace! A cruel girl that didn't care about anything that didn't please her!"
The world warped again.
"What are you doing?!" Jaune could see the correlation, but didn't understand the causation.
"She slaughtered them all for her own selfish gain! She's a bitch, through and through! A psycho-child that was willing to sell her Soul just to do it all again!"
The air in front of Chara broke apart and a pair of arms shot out tackling her to the ground. The rest of the greyscale body came into focus and revealed the trapped girl holding Chara against the ground, her hands on Chara's shoulders and straddling her waist to keep her from getting up. "LIER! YOU WERE THE ONE WHO CAUSED THIS!" She was crying, tears falling like a wave of pain and anguish loosed from a dam. "You and your stupid whispers! Trying to get me to hurt them! I couldn't sleep or eat until I finally gave in!"
Chara used a little know-how to push the girl off her and stand up again, "I don't know what you're talking about, but I don't care either. You're just trying to push the blame on anyone but yourself!" Chara clenched her fists with a big grin on her face, "But there's no running anymore! It's kill or be killed. RIGHT, BITCH?!" Chara charged forward, one foot hitting the ground hard and using her weight to swing her fist into the girl's jaw, knocking her to the ground. "Where's your DETERMINATION, now?!"
Chara was about to swing again, but a hand wrapped around her wrist. She turned to find Jaune holding her back. He narrowed his eyes and pulled her away from her assault. "You need to stop."
"Why should I, huh?!"
"She's not fighting back." Jaune pointed out. The girl still on the ground, but glaring up toward Chara.
"Again, SO WHAT?! Did you forget what I said? She killed all of them! Every Monster turned to dust! It's kill or be killed and she's just another one on the list!"
"NO!" Jaune called out, "You need to stop before…!"
He was cut off. A gust of wind knocking them all off balance. They all looked up in time to see a medium Nevermore flapping its wings. While not as large as they can get, a medium Nevermore was still the size of a full grown adult man! It let out a loud, screeching roar. It landed and spread its wings to clearly define its desire to kill them all.
Chara growled and looked around, grabbing a pair of sticks off the ground. She tossed one to the girl, "Make yourself useful, Frisk!"
The girl, revealed to be named Frisk, took the stick and held it, confused, "What are you talking about…? Wait, weren't you trying to fight me?"
The Nevermore roared and jumped at them, only to meet Jaune's shield against its foot and keeping it off balance for a moment. Chara tried to hit it, but it didn't do any meaningful damage. She growled and shouted, "This would be easier with my knife!"
The Nevermore shook them away and its eyes fell on Frisk. She jolted and knew to move as it moved closer, trying to peck at her. At one of its attempts, she jammed the stick into its mouth and kept it from closing. The large bird tried to shake its head and get the offending item out of its beak, but it was proving difficult. With it distracted, Jaune jumped onto its back, holding on as best as he could. Being a little shorter than the bird, he had to readjust before being able to wrap his hands over the creature's face and pulled back as hard as he could as he pushed his feet into the bird's back. With the Grimm's belly exposed, Chara took her stick and swung as hard as she could into its neck.
Frisk shook and found it hard to move, but one look into that thing's eye told her everything she needed to know. She held out her hand, trying to manifest some DETERMINATION, but nothing came. She looked at her hands and saw them shaking. There had to be something she could do! She grit her teeth and looked around. Some way to keep the bird grounded! Anything to help them and keep them all alive.
After a minute of his attempted hold, the Grimm finally got the upper hand and tossed Jaune away. Its wings flew open again and knocked Chara away for good measure. It seemed to realize a method to free its mouth as well as it shook and twisted its beak, eventually snapping enough of the branch away to close its beak again. It let out a loud screech as it threatened them again. Frisk's hands shook as her mind raced with fear that she might die, and what she'd have to do to avoid it. Memories flooded into her mind as she fell backward. As the Grimm came in for another attack, Jaune tackled her out of the way and rolled to the side.
Frisk felt as his Soul seemed to blanket her. It was a weird feeling, but a familiar one. Like back then… It felt like when she was in the Underground, but warmer. It felt less distant. Then she felt something surge in her own Soul, like it grew in power and expanded over her. As something beeped, she looked up over his shoulder to see the Grimm barreling down at them. She clutched her arms over him, trying to move him and defend them. However, something odd happened. A heart-like barrier formed over them, shrunk them down, and they moved away to dodge the attack. Once in their new position, they popped back to their normal sizes and fell to the ground.
Frisk blinked and looked at her hands, "What just…?"
The Grimm roared out and tried to hit Chara, only for her to skip back with her Save State and appear on its other side, where she landed with Jaune before. She ran up toward the Grimm and jumped onto its back, trying to choke it out. It charged forward and tried to attack the others. Chara decided to test her ability again and tried to take the thing with her through a Save again. She disappeared on it and reappeared back at the Save Point. However, she also noticed she was still holding its head while its body hadn't moved. She jumped in shock and threw the head to the ground as she watched it start to turn to dust and fly away. "W-what the hell?"
Jaune's scroll beeped again, and with the threat now headless, he looked it over. He checked Chara's Semblance section and found a new entry.
[Save State can only transfer beings with Souls and anything on their person. Grimm can be killed using this ability.]
"Well that's helpful." Jaune then turned a new section and found a new entry.
[Name: Frisk]
[Current Aura: 45%]
[Semblance: Heart of Soul]
[HoS can be used to shrink the user's body and anyone they allow. It allows the user to shrink themselves into a Heart-shaped object that can fly around. The user is vulnerable in this form but harder to hit.]
"Cool." Jaune tapped his scroll, hoping he'd get to see his own Semblance, but it was listed as [unknown]. He put his scroll away and looked back to the two. As the Grimm was finishing its deterioration, Jaune stepped in between the two before fists started flying again. "Now, let's keep this a bit more calm before we draw in another one. It feels like you're both talking about two different situations and aren't talking to each other and just over each other." His years of conflict mitigation practice with his sisters was coming in handy.
Chara huffed and brushed her sweater off, eyes on where the Grimm faded out. Seeing it completely empty and with how long it was taking, she let out a low hum, "So they really don't have souls…" She turned back toward Jaune and glared at Frisk. "And we both know she's lying her butt off. She knows what she…!"
Chara was cut off as Jaune held a hand up toward her, "Stop that. That's not helping our situation." Jaune turned to Frisk and pointed to her, "You start. What happened?"
Frisk stood up, unable to look back up to them. "She was right about what I did… I can't apologize enough for that. But I tried to give them a happy ending. I wanted them to be happy. But then I heard that voice… A nagging voice that wouldn't leave me alone! She was the only other one there, so it had to be her!"
"Hold on," Jaune interjected, "Are you absolutely sure it was her?"
"There's no one else it could be!" Frisk shouted. It seemed like Chara wanted to say something, but Frisk cut her off, "When I fell into the Underground, she was there! Latched onto my Soul. I found out she planned to attack the humans before she died. I hoped she could be saved… Like Asriel."
The name made Chara hitch in annoyance, her teeth gritting harder to the point of grinding, "Don't you dare try to play goodie-goodie after what you did!" Chara tried to charge Frisk again, but Jaune held the line between them. "I tried to tell you I was fine with it! But you decided to go the extra mile and prove it's kill or be killed! YOU! Not me!"
Jaune knew there was way too much going on, but he knew they had to bring things back to Remnant. … Wait a minute. We're in the Void, kind of, right?
Gaster's voice hung back into the air in his mind. DO NOT GIVE IN TO THE VOICE TRYING TO STIR YOUR CURIOSITY.
He fell a bit in his thinking, causing surprise in Chara and keeping her from attacking.
"Hey?" Chara called to him, "What's with the face?"
"I don't think you were as alone as you think." That moment hung in the air between them all.
