Train Wreck Through the Mission
Back with the team staying in the old building as a temporary hideout, Yang just came back inside from her turn of lookout duty.
"Hey Weiss, it's your... Ruby? Hey, where's Ruby?" Yang noticed that Ruby isn't here, and so is her beloved Dante.
"And Dante is gone too!" Yang gasped loudly which woke up everybody else and notice two of their teammates and friends are gone.
"Where the fuck did they go?" Jotaro asked.
"What's going on?" Oobleck asked.
"It would seem we're missing two students." Robin informed and saw Zwei come in barking a lot to get their attention.
"Zwei, what is it? Do you know where Dante and Ruby are?" Daidouji asked, Zwei nods at the girl and gesture for them to follow him.
"Come on, Zwei will lead us to where they are. And hopefully they're okay, because I'm going to give Ruby a very big talking when I find her!" Daidouji worried and angered at the same time about Ruby going off without telling her and the others.
"You should have seen her the last time she got angry, we had to rebuild our entire house for almost two months." Yang explained, shivers a little from the memory.
"Let's go already, those two could be in trouble!" Daidouji yelled as she ran out with Zwei in one arm and the others quickly follow her.
"Grab your weapons! Your leaders may be in trouble." Oobleck said.
"They already grab their weapons when we left, Bartholomew. I think you need to get your glasses check." Robin teased and Oobleck pouted from the comment.
Zwei pointed the way for the Hunters to find their way to a big hole where Dante and Ruby fell in, and Ruby's Crescent Rose is laying next to the hole.
"Oh no!" Robin worried that something bad may have happened to them.
(With Ruby and Dante)
Ruby is seen forcibly walk through what appears to be a camp with lot of White Fang soldiers getting things like weapons, Dust crystals, and there are even several Atlas mech here as they are being piloted by some White Fang soldiers.
"Man, this is way more than what I was expecting." Ruby surprised.
"You can say that again." The White Fang agreed, lifting the mask revealing his face to be Dante.
His plan is to sneak into the bad guy's base while disguising himself as a White Fang soldier and have Ruby play as the prisoner to make it more convincing, that way Roman won't suspect a thing from them and figure out their plan.
"Damn, look at all that stuff. It looks like the White Fang Faunus are getting themselves ready for war." Dante looked around, seeing all of this serious stuff.
"If Blake were here, she would feel devastated." Ruby feared for Blake's reaction.
"Not if we can find Roman and put a stop to him." Dante said.
Two White Fang soldiers saw the two walking past them; Dante quickly notice them staring and pushes Ruby to bend down a little and tighten his grip on her wrists to make it look like he is forcing Ruby to keep moving. The two White Fang soldiers brought it and went off their own business.
"Sorry Ruby, couldn't risk them seeing through us." Dante apologized.
"It's okay, we just gotta find Roman." Ruby said.
Dante looks around trying to see if he can see that red hair thief anywhere, but no sign of the guy.
"Hey, do you know where I can find Roman Torchwick? I need to inform him about an intruder I just caught." Dante asked a random White Fang soldier.
"He's over at the train, but I be careful if I were you. He's having a bad mood moment." The random White Fang soldier pointed at the train.
Dante gave the soldier a nod, he and Ruby made their way to the train and hopefully find out what he and the White Fang are planning.
"Huh, Boss, I got something you wanna see." Dante called out.
"Is it good or bad, Perry? Because let me tell ya, I have had a day." Roman said in a sour mood, clearly something made him mad.
"Uh, it's a little red riding hood girl?" Dante answered while Ruby give him an odd look.
Then Roman came out of the train to see Ruby with his own eyes, and he does not look happy.
"That would be bad." Roman glared fiercely at Ruby.
"Do you by any chance still have your sword?" Ruby asked whispering to Dante.
"Unfortunately, I left it back with the others. Hopefully, Yang brought it with her, but I still have my guns." Dante whispered back.
(With Yang and Others)
"That's Ruby's scythe! Now I'm really worried since I found Dante's sword back at the hideout." Yang said showing to hold the Rebellion in her hand.
"Oh no, do you think they fell into that hole?" Makoto asked worry.
"Wait, did you say fell?" Oobleck asked.
"Down there, in that hole." Blake pointed down at the hole.
"Oh dear, then I fear they may have found themselves in someplace that was also sealed away from the kingdom." Robin worried some more.
"What do you mean?" Weiss asked.
"Oh my. Of course! Of course, OF COURSE, OF COURSE! How could I be so stupid?!" Oobleck yelled at himself for not seeing this sooner.
"Doctor Oobleck, Professor Nico, what are you two talking about?" Daidouji demanded, feeling a little impatient right now since she wants to find her younger sister.
"Mountain Glenn! Yes, an expansion of Vale that was inevitably destroyed by creatures of Grimm! Previously home to thousands of people! Working people commuting to the city, the main city! Developed a subway system to the inner city! Grimm attacks increased! Population is in danger, now desperately searching for shelter! City evacuates into the metro tunnels and what do they find? The southeast quadrant of Vale is known for wild forests and deep caves!" Oobleck explained about more of the ruined city.
"Doc, what are you saying?" Yang asked.
"I have a feeling I may know what's he saying." Makoto said nervously.
"My dear, we're not just looking for an underground crime network, we're looking for an UNDERGROUND crime network!" Oobleck pointed out the bad guys they have been looking for are literally underground.
"They've been working in caves?" Blake shocked.
"I think it's more complicated than that." Jotaro guessed.
"You are right." Robin nodded and step in to tell the rest of the story.
"You see, when Mountain Glenn was to be the next expansion of the Vale kingdom. But despite the unique transport system of making subway tunnel going from here to the city, the moments would only last for a short time because of the lack of natural barriers to protect the city itself making it doom from the start." Robin said while looking sad.
"It must've been really hard for them to survive." Jotaro commented.
"It was, so the people tried to make one last attempt in surviving by concealing themselves underground into large caves as their new home along with cutting off the subways which also cut themselves off from the outside world." Robin explained some more.
"An underground village?" Yang surprised.
"Sounds like the people were going back into the stone age." Makoto commented.
"In a matter of speaking, yes. (Except for the stone age part). A safe haven. Until... an explosion opened the mouth of another cavern, filled with subterranean Grimm. After that, the Kingdom officially sealed off the tunnels, creating the world's largest tomb." Oobleck said.
"Dante and Ruby are down there, now we must go down their ourselves and save them." Robin said with a serious look.
"Hang on, Dante, Ruby, I'm coming for you." Yang determined to save her boyfriend and her little sister, even if she has to fight against an entire army of Grimms to get to them.
(With Dante and Ruby)
Ruby was just thrown across the ground by a happy Roman.
"Wow! You are much more manageable without that oversized gardening tool of yours." Roman laughed.
Ruby gets back up and charge at Roman again, but the master evil thief sidestep and trip Ruby making her stumble across the ground.
"(Ouch, that's gotta hurt.)" Dante thought felt bad for Ruby, hopefully their act won't last long.
"Oh man. You know, Perry, I really did need this." Roman chuckled and put an arm around Dante's shoulder.
"Huh, you definitely seem happy now, boss." Dante nodded.
"I hope that means you'll be taking your job seriously from now on, Roman." A young girl jumped behind several feet behind them.
"Sheesh, Rin… You just couldn't let me have my moment." Roman groaned.
"(Rin, huh? Must be one of the top bosses besides Roman ordering the White Fangs.)" Dante thought guessed with a quick glance at this Rin girl.
"The moments you should be taking is making sure that the preparations for the plans with the train and all this stuff are in place since we're still days away." Rin reminded the thief about the plan.
Rin is a tall woman with purple hair pinned in the back and two bangs on each side of her head. She wears a tight sleeveless shirt that starts exposing her stomach that is connected to a piece that covers her nose and mouth. Around her neck is a red triangular shaped scarf with white triangle marks and white dots inside of the triangles. She also wears baggy red pants with knee-length black high-top sandals, with a gray cloth wrapped around her waist. Black panties are exposed underneath the cloth and pants.
"Relax, I was just getting back to the preparing stuff." Roman shrugged.
"Huh, I could use a reminder of what the plan is exactly." Dante asked.
"I'll tell you in a minute, I just need to get this girl to talk… Like how she got here exactly, and if there are others." Roman glared down at Ruby who comes worried.
Ruby growls at Roman and use her Petal Burst to speed herself around Roman to make him spin and dizzy for a bit, then she blitzes herself away hoping to find a hiding place until Dante finds out what the place is and come find her.
"See ya!" Ruby yelled.
"You won't be going anywhere." Rin said suddenly appearing next to Ruby.
Ruby was surprised and got elbowed in the face that send the red hooded girl flying back to Roman who just got his bearings together.
"I see you've got some tricks up your sleeve! Let me make this clear: We're not through here yet." Roman glared as he picks up Ruby by the neck.
"(Oh man, I gotta do something now or else they're gonna do something bad to Ruby. I will never even look at Yang anymore if I like something happen to her younger sister.)" Dante thought feared this pretend plan is going backfire on them.
Dante slowly reaches for his two guns from his Pocket Dimension Semblance, but Rin turns her gaze to the "White Fang" soldier with a suspicious look getting the feeling that this one isn't who he appears to be.
But before Rin could even start questioning, there was a massive explosion that causes the White Fang soldiers to gasp, and the two top dark bosses look to where that came from.
"Oh, what the... Perry, if you and the boys could take care of that? Kinda in the middle of something." Roman asked, not wanting to lose the opportunity to get payback on this little brat.
"How about… no!" Dante took out his guns and fired two bullets for the shoulder and leg making Roman stumble in pain despite his aura protecting him.
This gave Ruby the chance to kick Roman in the face and run away.
"You will not get away!" Rin said as she was about to go after her, but Dante cut off her by shooting bullets almost hitting her ahead.
"Not on my watch." Dante said.
"Deceiving by sneaking in through plain sight. Quite clever, you would have been an excellent ninja if you are not on the side of the fools and weak." Rin stated as she brought out her pairs of Fūma Shiruken.
"This side is pretty much funnier than where you're standing on." Dante smirked.
Rin just glares at Dante for a second and then charges at him and blocking some bullets that were fired at her, she moves to the right and left for some slashing actions only for Dante to block them with his guns and counterattack with some shooting though Rin dodges them as well. The two enter a stalemate of attacking and countering each other, until Dante slams his foot on the blade into the ground.
Rin is shocked by this, and that instant moment of shock is what Dante needs to throw a strong punch right on the face that sends her flying.
"Oh yeah, score one for the Devil boy!" Dante cheered.
"Dante!" Ruby called out, getting him to run over to her.
Roman groans and makes his way to the train because it looks like he's gonna have to speed up the damn plan now.
"Attach this cart and spread the word: We're starting the train." Roman ordered to one White Fang soldier.
"But we're not finished!" The White Fang soldier said, but he gets grabbed by Roman in the neck.
"Do it or you're finished!" Roman threatened.
"Rin! Get on the train, we're forcing things to move forward now!" Roman shouted at the purple hair young woman.
Rin shook her head to shake off the pain and look over to see Dante and Ruby running, she wants to go after them, but she knew the plan needs to go first which is unfortunate they have to do it now. But this might also be the best thing they can do right now.
Ruby and Dante, who remove the White Fang armor and back into his own clothes, ran until they spotted the others running here.
"Guys, you finally came to the party!" Dante waved hello, and Yang jumps into him with some hard smooch on the lips.
"You two scared the fuck out of me!" Yang said and hugged Ruby next.
"Glad to see you two are okay." Daidouji smiled.
"Have you two been able to find out what their plan is?" Jotaor asked.
"Not much, all we know is that they're loading everything they got into that train and they're planning on moving through that tunnel." Dante pointed at the train.
"Ahhhh, that's ridiculous. These tunnels are sealed, the tracks lead to a dead-end." Oobleck said, then they hear a loud alarm sound.
"Get to your places, we are leaving now!" Roman announced.
"Doesn't seem like he cares about that. But it seems like they're prepared for something else if they're going through all the trouble of bringing all of this stuff and planning on using the tunnel as well." Robin stated.
"Maybe it's something else through the tunnel they're after." Makoto guessed.
"We can worry about that later. We need to stop them now." Weiss said as Yang gave Ruby her scythe back.
"She's right, we're going to stop that train even if it means we have to drag it all the way down to Hell!" Dante yelled with one gun pointed up and fired a bullet.
"Here, I think you need this." Yang handed him the Rebellion which he is very happy to have again with a quick peak on the lips.
"Let's go!' Dante pointed at the train and the group ran for the train, they jump high so they could get themselves on top of a train.
One White Fang soldier notice something odd and poke his head out the window and look up seeing the heroes on the train, he was about to alert his bosses about them only to be smacked on the head by Oobleck with his weapon.
"Remind me not to make you mad when we have our next history class." Dante grinned.
(With Roman and Rin)
"Boss! They made it on the train!" One White Fang soldier alerted.
"Then grab some cargo and get them off the train!" Roman ordered with a sigh.
"I will go and kick them off the train myself as well." Rin said as she walks away to deal with those fools.
"Well, at least I know she'll do a better job than you guys. No offense." Roman said to one White Fang soldier next to him who gave his boss a nod.
KO a new chapter is done and hope you all enjoy it!
The battle on the train is about to begin with the heroes all going to give this their all to stop it, but it looks like Roman has an extra help to try stopping like as Rin is going to make sure this mission succeeds no matter what.
