Mended Hearts.

Part XXIII.

Melissa honestly couldn't believe what she had just witnessed.

Not only she couldn't believe the fact that Stan and Wendy had gotten back together so quickly, but also the fact that they had walked past her without seemingly any care in the world – which only added more fuel to the fire that was her anger and bitterness.

It hasn't been even two months since we broke up, and he's already back together with that skank, and he's obviously looking much happier with her than he ever did with me?

Letting out a groan, and barely being able to contain her emotions at the moment, Melissa clutched tightly onto the strap of her tote bag and made a direct beeline for the girls' restroom, storming inside without any regards for anyone or anything around her, and only to find her best friend Patricia standing by the sinks and typing something on her phone.

However, all of this immediately (and unsurprisingly) gained the attention of the raven haired girl, so she looked up from her phone and noticed Melissa's visibly upset state.

''Hey there, what's the rush? You look like you've seen a ghost.'', Patricia commented, tilting her head slightly to the side and placing her phone into the back pocket of her jeans. Concern was now becoming more evident in her eyes as she spoke. ''Mel, what's wrong?''

''Pat…'', Melissa began, her voice tinged with frustration. ''You won't believe what I just saw.''

The noirette raised an eyebrow, not really understanding the urgency in her best friend's voice, although it was more than enough to pique her interest. ''What happened?''

Melissa huffed, leaning against the adjacent sink and choking down a sob. ''It's Stan and Wendy. They are back together, apparently. And they just walked right past me like I don't even exist.'', the brunette revealed, balling her hands into fists and glaring at the ground furiously. ''I can't believe that it's only been two months since Stan broke up with me, and he's already dating some other girl. No, scratch that, dating Wendy out of all people!''

''And he obviously has the nerve to act like nothing ever happened between us? Like I meant absolutely nothing to him, ugh!'', she continued, gritting her teeth as she thought about the sheer audacity her ex-boyfriend and his new-old girlfriend had to show up at school today and rub their rekindled relationship straight into her face.

''Hey, hey, calm down girl.'', Patricia said in an attempt to calm down her closest friend, taking hold of one of her fists and forcing the shorter girl to make eye contact with her. ''Everything will be just fine, okay? Maybe Stan and Wendy don't want to make things awkward, or maybe they don't want to rub it in your face already, so that's why they're keeping things on a down low?''

Melissa honestly couldn't believe the nonsense her best friend was spewing out, giving her an incredulous look and scoffing in response. ''I highly doubt Stan kissing Wendy so passionately in front of me and our friends counts as 'keeping things on the down low', but whatever.''

Patricia quirked an eyebrow, but not before her facial features softened and she gave Melissa a sympathetic look. She tried to come up with the best possible way to lift her friend's spirits up, even if her efforts seemed to be completely futile. ''Hey, maybe look at it this way – maybe Stan's just trying to move on from you by using Wendy as a rebound, but he still has feelings for you?''

Melissa simply stared at Patricia in disbelief.

''Are you being for real right now?'', she replied, crossing her arms over chest. ''How can you even say that? Do you think I haven't seen how Stan looks at Wendy?''

Patricia sighed, shaking her head in response and letting out an internal groan. ''Yes Mel, I've seen it myself too, okay? I'm just trying to lift your spirits up, because you are my best friend and I love you a lot, and it hurts seeing you beating yourself up over someone like Stan and his arm candy.''

The brunette hung her head back with a groan, causing Patricia to roll her eyes and pinch the bridge of her nose. ''Okay, let me repeat what I just said – maybe Stan still has feelings for you and is just using Wendy as a rebound, as a way to make you jealous and that you'll do something about it?''

Melissa too rolled her eyes, but not before tears started to well in her eyes. ''But I just don't see it that way!'', she responded and let out a deep sigh before continuing, desperately trying to hold back tears now. ''How can you even say something like that, Pat? I'm not stupid, and I've noticed how Stan looks at Wendy, and that look pretty much tells me everything.''

The last words she uttered were like an ice pick stabbing at her heart, but Melissa knew very well that she didn't have time to dwell on them and that she should instead focus on coming up with an ideal plan to try to somehow win Stan back – even though deep down she knew her plans were probably ridiculous and that her chances of getting back together with her ex-boyfriend were slim to practically non-existent at this point.

Patricia watched her friend's face drop into an even sadder frown, causing her to walk closer towards her and pull her into a comforting hug. ''First of all, you should let him know that you're still interested in him, which obviously won't be that difficult to do.'', she said, trying her best to sound as supportive as she could, although even she herself had honestly been getting kind of annoyed with Melissa's delusional antics and the fact she wholeheartedly believed she would be able to win Stan back. ''And I guess you could try and seek out the perfect opportunity to talk to him one-on-one? Maybe?''

The cogs in Melissa's brain started to turn.

While she frankly hated to admit it, her closest friend was indeed correct about something – she didn't want to let go of Stan just yet, and especially not after everything they had been through over the past two years.

The more she thought about it and the more Patricia's words resonated within her, the more hope and desperation Melissa felt – wanting to mess up Stan and Wendy's rekindled relationship, throw a wrench in it already, make Stan realize who exactly he had lost!

Patricia could see the change in Melissa's expression, since she knew her well enough to see when she was up to something that was probably on the less innocent side of things. ''What are you thinking of?''

Melissa leaned in closer, her voice brought down to a whisper now. ''Well, I have a plan.''

Patricia leaned in as well, intrigued. ''Okay, I'm listening.''

The older of the two girls took a deep breath, her mind racing with many thoughts and cycling back to a particular moment in time. ''So, remember that night of Clyde's party, right? About three months ago, after Stan's football game?''

''Yeah, I do, kind of.'', the ravenette nodded, recalling the event. ''I do remember, however, that you guys disappeared for a little while.''

A mischievous smile tugged at Melissa's lips. ''Well, we almost went all the way that night.''

Patricia gasped, her eyes widening over what she had just heard. ''You mean – ''

''Yeah, that's right.'', Melissa cut her off, pausing for a brief moment to gather herself she would continue, but not before she herself got interrupted by Patricia.

''You've never told me about this!'', Patricia widened her green eyes in surprise, still processing what she had heard mere moments ago. ''Why would you keep it a secret from me, your best friend out of all people?''

Melissa blushed slightly, but continued regardless. ''Yeah, I know, but I did want to take things further that night, although Stan was super hesitant about doing anything with me. I was pretty wasted, and he didn't want to take advantage of me in that state, so we ended up doing nothing in the end.''

''So, you're saying there is some unfinished business between you and Stan?''

''Yeah, kinda', but I also highly doubt Wendy knows about any of this.''

''Well, she probably doesn't, but you never know.''

Melissa let out a nervous laugh, biting her lower lip. ''You're maybe right, I guess.''

Patricia leaned in closer, a devious glint in her eye. ''You know Mel, this could be a great way for you to mess up Stan and Wendy's relationship, even for a little bit!''

''That's exactly what I've been thinking about doing! Although we do have to find the right moment to strike and tell Wendy all about it, and perhaps make some things up and add even more fuel to the fire?'', the brunette smiled giddily.

Although Melissa knew she couldn't break up Stan and Wendy right away, she knew she could at least do something to disturb their honeymoon period for just a little bit and hopefully unleash a chain of events that would eventually lead to their rekindled relationship falling apart before her very own eyes.

After all, that was everything she wanted to do, wasn't it?

Later that same morning, Stan was leaning against his locker, with a giddy smile etched onto his face as he sent a text message back to his girlfriend and waited patiently for her to show up – since they planned on getting lunch together and hopefully spending some time with their friends (instead of being attached at the hip like they had been pretty much all weekend long).

Wendy, much to Stan's delight, replied back only a few moments later and pretty much confirmed their plans for the lunch break.

'Just done with AP Chem, meet me at your locker! We can go grab lunch together if you wanna❤️'

Stan honestly couldn't believe how lucky he was to be with Wendy again and to have an opportunity to make things right between them this time around.

Not even two months ago, he had been at such a low point because of his breakup with Melissa and just how horrible she'd treated him leading up to their relationship's inevitable end – however, things had taken a very unexpected turn and he and Wendy had managed to patch things up in a way only two people truly in love ever could.

As Wendy came into his line of sight, their eyes met and her bright smile mirrored Stan's. She gave him a quick wave and walked straight towards him, before he wrapped both of his arms around her and pulled her into a hug.

''Hi Stan.'', Wendy spoke with a hint of excitement in her voice, returning the hug just as devotedly and eagerly.

''Hey Wends.'', Stan replied with a smile, before pulling his girlfriend closer to him in order to kiss her. He wrapped both of his hands around her waist, while Wendy rested her hands on his cheeks and moved her lips softly against his.

While it was a relatively simple gesture of affection, it definitely meant the world to both Stan and Wendy.

After a few moments, Wendy reluctantly broke the kiss and rested her head against Stan's chest, albeit still smiling.

''So…'', she began, lifting her head up and staring into the taller teenager's blue eyes. ''I've got some good news.''

''What is it?'', Stan asked.

''Well, Tweek sent me a message earlier and asked if the two of us would like to have lunch with him, Craig, Red, Clyde and Bebe.'', Wendy revealed as she unlocked her phone and opened the messaging app, showing her boyfriend the text messages she had sent to Tweek earlier. "So, what do you say?"

"Well, it sounds good to me.", Stan smiled and shrugged his shoulders in response. He then extended his hand out to Wendy and offered to link it with hers.

Giggling sweetly, Wendy happily accepted Stan's offer and took her hand in his as they started walking together towards the cafeteria, exchanging pleasantries and talking about what they had been up to since parting ways and going to their respective classes earlier that morning.

Once they got to the cafeteria and entered inside, the first thing the raven haired couple did was to head to the usual table where Wendy and her friends were seated, before greeting the rest of their friends and sitting down at whatever empty seats were available at the lunch table.

Red was the first one to notice that something must've definitely changed between Stan and Wendy, especially given how all lovey-dovey they suddenly seemed to be with one another and how they didn't refrain themselves from indulging into public displays of affection – which meant that whatever had happened between them the night of Tolkien's party and had seemingly ruined their friendship in the long run, was now a thing of the past.

The redhead raised an eyebrow as she glanced over at Wendy and then at Stan, clearly noticing the difference in their interactions and just how happier both of them looked – and that thought alone was enough to make the teenage girl all giddy and happy for her friends' newfound happiness, although she decided not to make her excitement noticeable just yet.

Soon after, Bebe and Tweek also noticed that something was now different between their best friend and Stan, sending each other knowing smiles and a look that simply screamed ''I told you so!''.

Wendy, unsurprisingly, must've caught onto what her two best friends were attempting to do, causing her to turn towards Stan and flash him a small grin, squeezing his hand while he threw an arm over her shoulder and pulled her closer to him.

''Should we tell them?'', Wendy whispered to Stan, while he simply nodded in agreement and gave her a supportive smile.

''We got back together!'', the dark haired girl revealed, placing hers and Stan's interlocked hands on top of the lunch table, causing just about everyone (well, except for Craig and Clyde) to gasp in surprise and allow the excitement to settle among them all.

Bebe, who had probably been the one to hope the most for Wendy and Stan to get back together, couldn't really contain her excitement, squealing with joy and clapping her hands excitedly. ''Oh my gosh, I knew it! It was about goddamn time you two got your shit together and finally realized that you're still into each other after all this time!''

Stan chuckled at Bebe's candidness, while Wendy playfully smacked her longest friend on the shoulder. ''Well, you're not wrong about that Bebe.''

''Well, it's not like I totally didn't see this one coming, but I'm happy for you two regardless!'', Red chimed in, a big smile also present on her face. ''How did that happen anyway?''

The raven haired couple swapped knowing glances, deciding to purposefully leave out all the juicy details and what exactly had happened between them that Friday night and chose to instead stick with a more abbreviated, more innocent version of events.

''I mean, it was nothing extraordinary.'', Wendy began. ''I went over to Stan's place to talk about what happened between us over the past few weeks and then we went back and forth for some time, but then ended up confessing our feelings for each other as well, and got back together after such a long time.'', she explained excitedly, before giggling lightly and catching Stan's sweet smile, causing her cheeks to flush a faint shade of red.

Clyde, always being the one to keep things light, decided to change the topic of conversation, although he too was equally happy about Stan and Wendy rekindling their relationship. ''Speaking of getting things together, we have that football game on Friday against North Park, right Stan?"

''Yeah yeah, we do…", Stan confirmed with a nod, his lips wiggling into a small smile. "It would be awesome if we could beat those idiots in front of the entire school and stop their winning streak, because they've seriously stepped up their game ever since we last beat them. Of course, we'll show them how it's done and that we'll once again be Park County champions, and not them.", he continued further enthusiastically, while Wendy rolled her eyes in slight annoyance, although she couldn't really help herself but giggle at how adorable her boyfriend looked when talking with so much passion and enthusiasm about something he loved.

''Oh, that sounds great! We'll definitely support and cheer our boys on, won't we Wends?'', the curly haired blonde chimed in.

Wendy grinned, sending a subtle wink in Stan's direction. ''Yes yes, we surely will.''

''Not gonna' lie, it wouldn't really be the same without you there to support me.'', Stan added, wrapping an arm around his girlfriend and giving her a soft smile.

Wendy giggled sweetly as she snuggled up against Stan's side, reaching out her free hand and lacing it with his own free hand. ''Of course I'll be there! Wouldn't miss it for a thing.'', she replied, causing Stan to chuckle lightly and plant a kiss on top of her palm.

''And of course, don't forget about that school dance we have planned for next Friday. It's going to be so much fun!'', Bebe spoke up again, leaning forward slightly in her seat and grabbing a slice of pizza off the tray in front of her, before taking a huge bite out of it. Her excitement was obviously very contagious, and she knew very well that she probably wouldn't be able to stop babbling about the upcoming school dance and everything related to it.

Wendy was in the same headspace as her best friend, and the idea of going to the dance with Stan and showing the entire school their rekindled, re-blossomed relationship only made her heart pitter-patter with pure excitement.

It would for sure be one hell of a great night, and the teenage girl honestly couldn't wait to spend it with her soulmate by her side.

Come Friday evening, pretty much the entire school had gathered at the South Park Cows' football stadium to show support and cheer their football team on. A lot of townspeople had shown up to support and cheer as well, with the positive atmosphere being incredibly contagious and making just about everyone feel good and confident about the potential victory against North Park Tigers.

The cheerleading squad was also present near the field, with girls dressed in their usual black, white and green cheerleading attire. They had been doing their absolute best to keep the crowd pumped up and enthusiastic throughout the entire pregame show, deservedly getting a huge round of applause after finishing their routine, but also waiting patiently for the game to finally kick off and for the South Park Cows to cream North Park in the process – but even more importantly, to show them why exactly they had been the reigning champions of Park County for several consecutive seasons now.

Wendy and Bebe had perhaps been the two of the loudest cheerleaders, feeling extra motivated to give their respective boyfriends all the support they needed and to cheer on extra hard whenever the South Park team would get to score an important touchdown.

And as the game had finally kicked off, both teams had managed to start off pretty evenly, although things very quickly shifted into South Park's favor and they managed to score two touchdowns by the halftime, resulting in another huge round of cheers from the fans, who were extremely proud to see their hometown boys getting another relatively easy win against their biggest rivals.

Stan, who proudly sported #4 on his jersey, effortlessly dodged the opposing team's defense line and threw an important ball towards Clyde, who just barely missed out on being tackled by one North Park player, but also managed to get everything done in order to score the third, winning touchdown for his team.

With the final whistle now blowing and signaling the end of the match, the whole stadium erupted into deafening screams and cheers, and South Park boys were met with an enthusiastic crowd of their supporters who were jumping and shouting at the top of their lungs.

The overall amazing atmosphere prompted both teams to then high five each other amidst the slight chaos and congratulate their players.

And while some of the guys ran off towards the locker rooms to take a well-deserved shower and clean themselves up, Stan and some of his teammates walked towards their coach and their parents, who congratulated them on yet another great performance.

The teenage boy was met with what was now a standard shower of praises for his performance at tonight's game, but he was more focused on finding a particular raven haired girl, who must've been somewhere in close proximity to him anyway.

Stan turned around in search of her, and spotted Wendy walking towards him with an ecstatic grin, a large smile on her face as she came up to him and wrapped her arms around his neck, leaning forward and kissing him on the lips firmly.

His hands immediately found their way to her slender waist, pulling her closer to him as their kiss deepened, with Wendy smiling into their sweet exchange and Stan playing idly with her soft, silky black locks.

After some time, Stan and Wendy pulled apart and smiled lovingly at each other, with the raven haired boy holding his girlfriend tighter to himself as they both took a moment to admire and appreciate the beautiful sight of fireworks happening right before their very eyes.

"You were amazing!", Wendy gushed as she gazed into Stan's bright blue eyes, whose face lit up upon hearing her compliment.

"Thanks babe.", Stan responded happily, a wide grin still plastered on his face. "I also couldn't have done it without you cheering me on.", he added, placing a tender pack on Wendy's nose, making her giggle as she rubbed her nose against his cheek adoringly.

"So, I heard Clyde's throwing a party at his house later.", the dark haired boy continued after a little while. "Do you wanna' come with me?"

Wendy shrugged her shoulders in response, before giving Stan a small smile. "Well, that does sound fun, but I think I'll have to go home first and change into something more comfortable."

"Oh, okay.", Stan replied. "That's fine by me actually. I can even drop you off at home."

"Really? You'd do that for me?", the ravenette asked in surprise, with Stan simply nodding his head 'yes'.

"Yeah sure, no problem.", he answered. "You could also stay over at my place later, if you want to?"

"Sounds good.", Wendy smiled happily, before pecking Stan on the lips one last time and giving his hand a tight squeeze. She affectionately rested her head onto his shoulder, feeling about a million little goosebumps form wherever Stan was touching her.

They stayed that way for some time, until Wendy pulled away from Stan and they started walking hand-in-hand towards their respective locker rooms.

They both came out about fifteen minutes later and started walking towards Stan's car, still holding hands and feeling very eager to get to Clyde's party as soon as possible.

"Wends…", Stan began as he suddenly stopped in his tracks and took a hold of Wendy's hand, before interlocking their fingers and taking a step closer towards her. "There's something I've been meaning to ask you for a couple of days now, but just haven't gotten an ideal moment to do it earlier."

"What is it?", she asked, hugging Stan's letterman jacket closer to her body.

"Babe, I know it's only been a short while since we got back together, but I really want you to come to the dance with me.", he revealed, a hopeful smile appearing on his lips.

For a few seconds, Wendy didn't say anything, instead staring into Stan's eyes intently, silently processing what he had just asked her.

Stan, on the other hand, felt like he was on a knife's edge waiting for a response from his girlfriend, but his nerves quickly relaxed when Wendy gave him a sweet smile and placed a hand on his cheek.

"Of course I would love to go to the dance with you.", she said, before leaning forward and placing another soft kiss on Stan's lips.

Stan beamed from ear to ear, feeling relieved over Wendy's positive answer, but also feeling even more excited about the fact he would get to spend such an amazing night with all of his friends and the girl of his dreams by his side.

A few days had passed since the events of what had been a frankly amazing Friday night for both Stan and Wendy – with Stan's football team achieving yet another huge win against their rivals, and Wendy giving him a positive answer to being his date for the upcoming school dance.

The excitement of the past weekend seemed to have spilled into the following week, with today's day being no exception to that as well.

Despite being in a good mood pretty much all morning long, Wendy now had just a few minutes before the start of her free period, so she decided to make a quick stop at the girls' restroom before heading off towards the library and hopefully going over the notes she had taken in her classes earlier that day.

However, her good mood was ruined almost immediately as she saw Melissa and her best friend Patricia standing by the sinks, making her blood practically boil at the sight of them.

While she had had her own fair share of unwilling encounters with the brunette girl, which had mostly been due to everything that had transpired between her, Stan and Melissa over the past few months, Wendy still hoped she would get to avoid having any interaction with Melissa today, simply for the sake of that not ruining her day and her spreading unnecessary negativity around.

But much to Wendy's dismay, Melissa noticed the taller girl as soon as she entered the girls' restroom and waved at her with a smut look on her face. It wasn't as though she wanted to greet or talk to Wendy, but more so because she simply hated her guts and considered her to be the main reason behind hers and Stan's breakup.

Wendy decided to take the high road instead, purposefully choosing to ignore the two girls and hoping they would do the exact same thing, although her hopes were dashed when Melissa noticed her and put on an obnoxiously fake smile.

''Oh hey Wendy, how are you doing?'', Melissa greeted her ex-boyfriend's old flame.

Wendy's response was curt, her tone indicating her lack of interest in engaging with Melissa. ''I'm doing just fine.''

Patricia, who caught wind of the whole interaction now unfolding, decided to chime in as well. ''Well, that's great to hear. And how's your little relationship with Stan going?''

The ravenette's patience was already wearing thin, but she knew she couldn't help herself but allow both Melissa and Patricia's little comments to get into her head, so she instead snorted at their very obviously insincere politeness. ''Well, that's none of your business, okay?''

Melissa feigned innocence, whilst trying her best to hide her annoyance and irritation at Wendy's bluntness. ''Oh no, no, we're just asking out of common courtesy.''

Wendy simply rolled her eyes, not ready to fall for Melissa's whole charade – she knew her true nature well enough and how she liked to put on a mask in order to play the victim or manipulate situations whenever things weren't in her favor.

Deciding not to waste any more of her precious time on either Melissa or Patricia, Wendy simply readjusted the straps of her school bag and turned around on the spot, before making a direct beeline for the exit and hopefully getting out of the restroom as soon as possible.

As Wendy began to walk past them both, Melissa couldn't resist one final jab. ''Well, then I hope Stan at least treats you better than he did me.''

Wendy abruptly stopped in her tracks, turning around and glaring daggers at the pair of best friends, with Patricia chuckling at Melissa's specific choice of words. ''What do you mean by that?''

Melissa grinned, relishing in Wendy's curiosity. ''Oh you know…'', she began. ''Stan wasn't necessarily the best boyfriend to me, okay? Sometimes, he chose not to hang out with me and preferred spending time with the guys or his friends from the football team.''

The dark haired girl rolled her eyes, not buying into whatever narrative Melissa was trying to sell. ''Well, he probably wanted to get away from your drama. I think I've seen and heard enough of relationship drama anyway.''

''Oh sweetie, you haven't been back in South Park for that long to know the real ins and outs of my relationship with Stan and everything we went through together.'', Melissa shot right back.

Wendy raised an eyebrow, her curiosity now unwillingly piqued. ''Everything?''

''Yes, everything, which also includes things I'm sure Stan probably didn't want to tell you about.''

The noirette somehow couldn't help herself but to know more, even though her brain was telling her to snap out of it immediately and not fall for Melissa' dumb mind games. However, she still wanted to know what exactly Melissa meant when she mentioned the stuff regarding hers and Stan's relationship.

''Oh yeah? What things?''

Melissa's lips curled into a cocky grin. ''Oh, you know…''

Wendy shook her head in disbelief, feeling the urge to wipe that smirk right off of Melissa's face, but she decided not to take the bait and instead chose to remain calm and collected. ''Well, Stan isn't really the guy to keep secrets from me. I've known him long enough to tell when he's hiding something from me or when he wants to tell me something.''

''I wouldn't be so naive, Wends.'', Melissa's grin now turned into a sly smile.

Once again, Wendy scoffed at Melissa's ridiculous remark, rolling her eyes. ''Ugh, why do I even bother wasting my time on arguing with you?'', she sighed, frustration evident in her voice. ''And don't call me Wends. We're not friends, and I sure as hell hope we'll never be.''

''Do you really think Stan and I haven't done anything with each other? Come on, we dated for almost two years.''

''Well, I definitely call bullshit on you and him going all the way.'', Wendy replied, almost being ready to bring up the fact that she and Stan had had sex not only once, but twice so far, but she decided to keep that to herself for now, and not wanting Melissa to potentially use that and twist the truth to her advantage somehow.

''Aww, you do?'', Melissa let out a cynical snort.

Remembering what she had admitted to her best friend that very same morning and revealing that she and Stan had almost gone all the way at Clyde's party a few months ago, Melissa decided to embellish certain aspects of the story anyway, with hopes of shaking up Wendy's seemingly blind trust in Stan.

''Hmm, I can tell you about the time Stan and I almost did it, but I was too drunk to give my consent and your sweet, sweet boyfriend didn't seem to care about that at all.'', she revealed, causing Wendy to fall silent.

Wendy's confident tone now dropped into a more insecure one, even though she desperately wanted to pretend like she hadn't been bothered by what Melissa had just spewed out. ''What are you talking about?''

Melissa smirked, feeling a sense of satisfaction over the fact that she had managed to make the ever-so confident Wendy Testaburger insecure, even if it meant just for a little bit. ''You really think you know him better than me?''

Wendy met Melissa's gaze with determination. ''Look, you don't have to rub it in my face that you and Stan were together for a long time, but I've known him since preschool and dated him for much longer than you did, so take from that what you want. I definitely know him much better than you ever could.''

But before Melissa could retort anything else, Wendy simply walked past both Melissa and Patricia, choosing to ignore them from now on and not waste any of her precious time on either of them – choosing to focus on what was most important to her and feeling determined not to let Melissa's words have an impact on her life or on her relationship with Stan whatsoever.

Well, I'm finally back with a new update!

Honestly, I really don't have the best explanation for why I haven't been able to post a new chapter in almost two and a half months, but let's just say that I was insanely busy with both school and work all throughout August and September.

However, with me now being significantly less busy with school and stepping up from a part–time position to a full-time position at my job, I think I'll be able to dedicate more time towards writing and updating my fanfics. I'm also planning on posting my new multi-chaptered Stendy fanfic in the following weeks (Serendipity), so stay tuned for that as well!

As always, I appreciate each and every one of you for taking the time out of your day to read my fanfics, comment on them and show your support! It genuinely means a lot to me, so I'm sending a big, fat virtual hug to all of you!

Until next time guys, xoxo. ❣️
