Exterior: Felucia, jungle.
The beautiful Aaylas'ecura walked alongside Bly and a platoon of her troops.
"For anyone who doesn't know: Master Aayla's one of the most breathtakingly beautiful women in history," innocently informed Caleb.
"Awww, thank you, sweetie," thanked Aayla who smiled at the young Padawan, and gave him an appreciative kiss on the cheek, making him blush.
Bly smiled in agreement with Dume.
Pausing the film, Padme praised the little boy, "You're so much smoother than Ani when he tries to sweet talk me,"
With a small smile, Caleb asked, "What's he sound like, Senator?"
Padme quoted, "I don't like sand.
It's coarse, and rough, and irritating, and it gets everywhere.
Here, on Naboo, everything is soft and smooth." whilst feeling my skin," earning some laughter.
"That is just creepy, and I doubt the touching was welcome," exhaled Mace who resumed the film.
Via the radios in the squad's helmets, a voice faintly relayed an order.
Bly began trembling as he stopped in his tracks.
He began holding his forehead as if he had a headache.
Soft emotional music faded up.
Bly was beyond conflicted in his mind and soul.
He was trying his best to resist the inhibitor chip.
"He faces a great struggle in every cell of his body," observed Luminara.
Bly's eyes, body language and facial expression visualized his struggle whilst Aayla sensed the conflict.
As her other troops failed to resist the chips and reluctantly complied with Order 66, she didn't have time to resist when they brutally executed her.
Bly never fired a shot.
The audience closed their eyes, taking a moment of silence.
Then her executioners showed immense remorse and regret, horrified by what they'd been forced to do.
As the video paused, Mace asked, "Commander Bly, care to explain yourself?"
Aayla closely cuddled with Bly, "I'd say it's pretty obvious.
He loves me."
"Sir, I'd choose death over hurting the woman I love.
I can't live without her, and I didn't want to leave anything unsaid," answered Bly.
Mace grunted, "It was overkill with how many times she was shot."
"After getting the wrong order, we must've tried to make it as quick so my cyar'ika didn't suffer.
The very thought of being ordered to hurt or kill Aayla terrifies us in every molecule of our bodies." elaborated Bly.
"Why's there a kill order for Jedi?
Does it have to specify, or is it a genocide order against the Order?
And does it include the younglings?" questioned a worried Dume, "And who would have the authority to give it?
And who'd be evil enough to use it on Aayla?"
Ahsoka suspected, "Wouldn't be surprised if it was that creep, Tarkin, after being rejected or being told no,"
Startled, Padme chimed in, "It'd have to be either a unanimous Senate vote, or the Supreme Chancellor,"
In a sinister Palpatine impression, Ahsoka cackled, "I am the Senate,"
"Not yet," replied Windu who felt a bad case of deja vu.
"It's treason then," joked Tano, giving people even more deja vu, and making Rex tense up.
Via a recorded hologram from within a Holocron, Obi-Wan said, "This is Master Obi-Wan Kenobi.
I regret to report that our Jedi Order and the Republic have fallen, with the dark shadow of the Empire rising to take their place.
This message is a warning and a reminder to any surviving Jedi: trust in the Force."
"This sounds ominous," thought Ahsoka.
"Do not return to the temple.
That time has passed.
And our future is uncertain.
We will each be challenged… our trust… our faith… our friendships.
But we must persevere, and in time: a New Hope will emerge.
May the Force be with you, always."
"I gave him the idea to use the retreat beacon as a stay away warning," commented Caleb.
"Thank goodness for that, sweetie," sighed Depa.
Interior: Kashyyyk, resource refinery.
As he stood upon a platform, Saw Gerrera gave a speech, "Everyone! These have been hard years. We've lost comrades, friends, family... to the Empire. Dark times."
Ahsoka, Anakin, Obi-Wan and Rex asked, "Saw?"
"And yet the fire... still burns.
Hope... still burns!" continued Saw who indicated to an older Cal Kestis, "The JEDI are not yet lost!" then called out, "We are not yet lost!
Kashyyyk is not yet lost!
For the cause!"
"He reminds me of Cham Syndulla, for better or worse," noted Mace.
"I'll give him credit, he makes a fine speech," praised Luminara.
"Indeed he does," agreed Shaak Ti.
Interior: Starfighter, the Mantis.
Sitting at the table, Cal said, "Things are bad down there.
Empire's everywhere,"
Cere asked, "Inquisitors?"
Cal answered, "Well, Trilla, the Second Sister is gone for now, but she's still chasing us," before taking a sip of water, "I defeated the Ninth Sister,"
"What's an Inquisitor?" asked Caleb.
"Inquisitors are agents of a judicial faction called an Inquisition.
They hunt followers and practitioners of religions and cultures contrary to theirs.
In this case, they target the Jedi Order," explained Depa.
"Did she mean Trilla as in Trilla Suduri?" asked Obi-Wan.
"I believe so," answered Luminara, with a hint of regret as she dreaded the thought of her own fallen apprentice, Barriss, having a similar fate.
Somber music faded up.
Struggling to control her emotions, Cere said, "Cal, when I was captured by the Empire, I resisted…
I swore to myself that I would die, before I would talk…"
Cere began to tremble, "Then this… DARK SHADOW came, and he was worse than any nightmare I could've imagined.
And I still fought… but in the end I came apart, and I gave them Trilla.
And I know there's nothing I can do to make that right.
But, Cal, there's still a chance we can save the others on the holocron."
The audience felt deeply sorry for Cere.
Later.
Exterior: Bogano.
Interior: the Mantis.
"Cere, I saw what happened between you and Trilla.
I'm so sorry…
I was arrogant, I was foolish.
I could never understand what you went through," apologized Cal.
"She has the Holocron.
I don't know where she's taking it." continued Cal after placing Trilla's saber on a table.
"That's Cere Junda," noted Luminara, "Professor Cordova's former apprentice."
"I know where she's taking it." exhaled Cere, "There's a Fortress where they take Jedi.
Where the Inquisitors come from."
Concerned, Rex asked, "Could it be the Citadel?"
Cere breathed shakily, "It's a place of torture.
It's the place I escaped.
I just never thought I'd be going back there."
"You won't be going alone.
You'll have a friend with you," comforted Cal.
"No," said Cere as she stood up and turned to him, "I'll have a Jedi with me,"
Calling Trilla's lightsaber to her hand, she said, "Kneel,"
As Cal knelt, Cere ignited the saber's red blade and held it over his left shoulder, "By the right of the Council,"
Then over his right shoulder, "By the will of The Force,"
Then above his head, "Cal Kestis,"
And finally aloft, "Rise, Jedi Knight."
Mace frowned, "Only members of the Council can Knight a Jedi."
Caleb Dume pointed out, "Future Obi-Wan said the Order's fallen, so there'd be no Council.
And that rule changed ages ago."
Interior: Nur, Fortress Inqusitorius.
"I have failed you, Trilla.
And I'm so sorry… I failed you," apologized Cere.
Standing before Cal and Cere, a remorseful Trilla said, "I've carried so much hate for you…" then began trembling in absolute terror as a dreaded sound slowly became audible.
"I have a bad feeling about this," nervously said Dume.
As footsteps approached, the sound of a haunting breathing sound grew louder until Darth Vader's shadow loomed over them whilst he looked down from a platform above them.
The white smoke in the room highlighted his armor whilst a low shot, full body shot, then a close up were shown.
"That doesn't look good," said a nervous Cal, to Cere.
"It isn't… it's him," shakily replied Junda.
Dramatically leaping down, Vader walked up behind Trilla, "You have failed me, Inquisitor." and ignited his saber.
Realizing what was about to happen, the audience braced themselves.
"Avenge us!" pleaded Trilla before being struck down by Vader's red blade.
Running at Vader, Cere was nonchalantly thrown off a ledge by Vader.
"No!" exclaimed Cal who softly said, "Cere…"
Staring down the boy, Vader said to Cal, "You would be wise to surrender,"
"Yeah… probably,"
Interior: Kashyyyk, hut.
As Vader lifted a hooded Jedi into the air, he asked, "I sense someone far more powerful nearby.
Where is your master?"
The Jedi struggled for breath, "The Dark side has clouded your mind. You killed my master, years ago,"
"That's Kento Marek," gasped Depa, "we used to date," earning smiles and grins from some of the present company, and a raised eyebrow from Mace.
"Then now you will share his fate," vowed Vader as he prepared to strike Kento down, but his lightsaber was suddenly force pulled out of his hands.
"Brave but foolish," bluntly said Mace.
Obi-Wan looked at Windu, "Are you quoting Dooku?"
Suspenseful music faded up.
A boy no older than 5 held the lightsaber in his hands.
Surprised, Vader turned, "A son…"
Present company simultaneously gasped, "Oh, no."
"Galen, run!" shouted Kento before Vader snapped his neck, and he dropped dead.
"Nooooo!" screamed a horrified Depa who softly said, "Kento… no," as a tear trickled down her cheek whilst Aayla comfortingly wrapped an arm around her waist.
Gasping in horror, the small boy held up the saber in a defensive stance, with a furious look on his face.
"Get outta there, kid!" urged the present company.
As Purge troopers entered, an officer asked, "Lord Vader?" then the troopers turned their weapons on the child.
"No… please don't. He's just a child," stammered Shaak Ti.
Depa covered her mouth with one hand, and Caleb's eyes with the other.
Suddenly, the would-be firing squad was cut down by Vader who'd reclaimed his saber and put himself between the boy and the troopers.
The audience were taken aback by the turn of events.
Caleb inquisitively asked, "Could this be a redeeming moment for whoever's behind that mask?"
Depa quietly chuckled, "You're certainly full of questions."
Shaak Ti answered, "It's possible."
"Come with me. More will be here soon." said Vader.
"Please get out of there, you precious boy," pleaded Aayla.
20 years later.
Interior: under construction Super Star Destroyer.
A young man knelt before Vader who held his blade over the left and right shoulder, then above his head.
"That's him?" asked Padme.
"He's handsome," admitted Ahsoka.
"He certainly is," agreed Aayla, "and he has his mother's eyes."
"If he was around my age right now, we might've been friends," said Tano, "or dating,"
"I still ship you with Lux," said Padme.
Cody added, "And some people ship Ahsoka with Rex," causing the blonde clone and teenage Togruta to blush.
"Starkiller, you were weak when I found you," said Lord Vader.
Caleb asked, "Why don't I believe that?"
"Now your hatred has become your strength.
At last the Dark side is your ally," said Vader as he extinguished his blade, "Rise, my apprentice."
Anakin thought, "Poor kid," but felt an unnerving connection.
"Your training is nearly complete.
It's time for you to face your first true test,"
"Your spies have located a Jedi?" asked Starkiller.
As he made his way to the hangar, Starkiller turned and ignited his saber as the form of Obi-Wan Kenobi greeted, "Hello there," and began intensely dueling him, using Soresu, whilst epic battle music faded up.
"What in blazes am I doing there?" asked a beyond confused Obi-Wan, "And why would I be fighting the boy instead of his master?"
Luminara observed, "You haven't aged a day.
Maybe you were cryogenically frozen not long after your message."
As Kenobi was vastly overpowered and struck down by the sheer ferocity of his opponent, Starkiller stepped back.
The audience gasped.
Horrified, Rex, Cody, Luminara, Anakin and Ahsoka exclaimed, "Noooo!"
As the hologram faded, Proxy's eyes lit up, "Ah, master, another excellent duel."
The audience sighed in relief.
"That droid looks kinda like 3P0 before getting coverings," commented Padme.
"Proxy, you did catch me by surprise.
I haven't fought that training program in years.
I thought you'd erased it," chuckled Starkiller.
"I thought using an older module might catch you off-guard and allow me to finally kill you," sighed a disappointed Proxy, "I'm sorry I failed you again."
"I'm sure you'll keep trying,"
"His clanker's programmed to kill him?" asked Bly.
"That's rather unsettling," stated Shaak Ti.
"As is how lifelike General Kenobi's avatar was," agreed Cody.
Interior: the Rogue Shadow, cockpit.
Turning to the droid, Starkiller ordered, "Proxy, give me the target."
Proxy transformed into a battle hardened soldier with a scar across his face, "According to Imperial records, Master Rahm Kota was a respected General in the Clone Wars."
Mace stated, "Of course he is. I brought him to the temple."
Anakin scoffed, "So that's why he's an antisocial jerk," earning laughter from some of his peers.
"Master Kota was a military genius, but felt that cloned soldiers weren't fit for battle."
"Seriously?" asked Ahsoka.
"He says it's not personal," replied Rex, "He just doesn't trust the Kaminoans, bounty hunters, or Mandalorians.
And disapproves of the Kaminoan methods.
But at least he's not another Krell,"
"After order 66, he vanished.
Official imperial records claim he's dead."
"What's Order 66?" asked Caleb.
"The Chancellor has the authority to execute the Jedi Order under charges of treason, if necessary," answered Bly, "along with anyone who disobeys the given order."
"All of them? Even the younglings?" gasped Dume.
"I hope we never find out."
"No wonder the Council's suspicious of the Chancellor."
"He'd never do it!" interjected Anakin.
"Evidence to the contrary is literally in front of you." pointed out Mace.
Interior: Nar Shaddaa, shipyard, command center.
Having effortlessly and ruthlessly massacred his way to the target, leaving no witnesses on either side or so much as a mouse droid in one piece, Starkiller approached Kota.
"Oh… ha, a boy? Months of attacking Imperial targets and Vader sends a boy to fight me?" chuckled Kota, in disbelief.
"Famous last words?" asked Rex.
"Let's hope not, Rex, old boy," replied Cody.
Whilst thrilling battle music faded up, the two combatants dueled and fought with intense ferocity and skill.
Everyone in the audience was amazed by the boy's power, impressed by his skills, and by how well he was fairing against someone personally trained by Grandmaster Yoda.
"He certainly knows how to wield the Force unleashed in its raw form," commented Luminara who admitted, "I'd most certainly be more than outmatched if I were to confront him, especially by myself.
I estimate I'd last no longer than 3 minutes before being subdued or killed."
"You're stronger than I thought, boy," praised Kota.
"That's an understatement, Kota," commented Ahsoka.
Engaged in a bladelock with Starkiller, Kota told, "Vader thinks he's turned you, but I can sense your future.
And Vader won't always be your Master."
Curiosity was now the audience's primary emotion.
"Not always his master? Could he reject the dark side?" asked Caleb.
"That's impossible. If you're on the dark side, there's no changing it.
There's no turning away from the dark side," dismissed Mace who'd paused the film.
"Revan, Ulic Qel-Droma, Visas, Juhani and Bastilla say hi," chimed in Aayla.
Ahsoka frowned, "What Mace just said is one more reason I left the Order. It's never that simple." and resumed the film.
"I sense only… me?" gasped Kota before his blade was pushed into his eyes, blinding him, then he was thrown out a window, into the atmosphere.
"Are you sure you're not related, Anakin?" asked Caleb.
"He looks nothing like me," shrugged Ani.
Interior: Felucia, Ancient Abyss.
Starkiller engaged in a fierce battle with Shaak Ti who held her own, but was eventually impaled by a red blade.
"Mum!" gasped the clones and Ahsoka as they protectively hugged Shaak Ti who lightly blushed before returning the warm embrace.
As she fell off a ledge, towards the resident Sarlacc, Starkiller suddenly reached out to try saving her, to no avail, before fleeing.
