"LAST TIME ON TOTAL DRAMA PAHKITEW ISLAND! Bawling babies, savage snowfields, and pasta bears were in our nine contestant's crosshairs as they tried to make it through the challenge. The campers competed in another gnarly immunity challenge where all around loser Cody finally won safety for himself. He had the opportunity to give it to another player but they weren't really having it. Following the geek's win and celebration, The campers minus Roman met up and all agreed that it was time for the jock to go. Not much deceit was at play as Roman was led to believe Todd was the one going home. Ultimately Roman was sent packing in a unanimous vote just like Sadie was, and he became the third member of our jury. Find out what happens on this episode of TOTAL DRAMA PAHKITEW ISLAND!"
Theme Song
Before Challenge
"How's it going Todd, we haven't talked one on one in a little while," Bridgette said, as she and Todd rested beside the river. Bridgette was dipping her toes into the water, while Todd remained a bit back from the river's edge.
"It's going I guess. I'm glad we finally had a victory, even if it was a minor one last night," Todd replied.
"Yeah. I wish we could get a bigger fish, but a fish is still a fish at the end of the day."
"Mhmm… do you think any of them will flip? I know your relationship with Geoff is…"
"Shaky? Yeah, but I think he trusts me more now, but I still am a bit worried. I don't want to get hurt again," Bridgette said, her head tipped downwards, a sad expression drawn on her face.
"Don't worry I get it, Yasmin and I had our ups and downs too you know. Him voting with us twice now is at least a good sign. And Cody has been mentioning to me that he wants to see Alejandro gone soon, so we do have options."
"I guess. Did Cody say when specifically he wanted Alejandro gone?"
"He hasn't specified, but I trust him to keep his word."
"Let's keep an eye on that then. Alexis has expressed wanting to work with Drew and I, so that's a possible option as well"
"That's good to hear. I think this will be a very big vote for a lot of us, hopefully it goes our way."
Confessional, Todd
Bridgette and I haven't talked one on one in a bit, but it's nice to actually have someone you can trust one hundred percent out here
Cody was sitting alone by himself in the cave, twiddling with his thumbs as he appeared to be deep in thought as Alexis walked into frame.
"Oh hey Cody, I didn't know you were in here," Alexis said, giving Cody a wave.
Cody jumped up a little bit, startled, not realizing that Alexis had entered the cave, "Oh hey Alexis," Cody waved back. "You startled me." He chuckled.
"Sorry about that."
"It's okay."
There was a long awkward pause as the two stood there in silence.
"Are we okay?" Alexis asked, rubbing her arm, and directing her gaze towards the floor.
"Yeah we're okay, why wouldn't we be?"
"Well after I turned you down…"
"Don't worry about it, you didn't hurt my feelings or anything. I'm not entitled to you, and I'm glad that we've ended up being okay after that."
"I just don't want there to be any misunderstandings you know, like I still like you as a friend, and you're a good person, I'm just not looking for anything right now."
"Don't worry, I appreciate you as a friend, and I'm fine with that."
Confessional, Cody
I still like her, but I can accept her as a friend in my life. That's better than hating each other and never speaking again.
Confessional, Alexis
I'm glad we are past the awkward stages… I still think it will be difficult to maintain friend status if you will. Cody is a good kid, and I do feel close to him, just not in that way you know.
"Hola Drew," Alejandro said, as he approached the artist. The pair were in the middle of the woods, where Drew was leaning on a tree using her sketch pad. "What're you doing?"
"Just sketching some landscapes. Eases the mind you know," Drew replied, putting away her book to focus on the conversation.
"I don't mean to sound rude, but would you happen to be a Bob Ross fan then?"
"I like his work, his videos are very soothing I have to say."
"They are for sure. I just want to apologize for not really getting to know you that well so far, I know we haven't exactly been on the same team, or same side for that matter, but you're the only one I haven't talked a lot with."
"It's alright. I'm partially guilty as well. Maybe we could build something? I don't think anyone would see it coming."
"Perhaps… I know that there is a lot of tension in the air right now. Maybe us two working together could be mutually beneficial."
"I agree. Let's figure something out later, don't want people to get suspicious."
Confessional, Alejandro
Drew and I don't have much of a connection. And admittedly it is a bit on me for not reaching out, but if I want to go with Bridgette and Geoff, I know Drew will be involved with our little deal, so I may as well try and work something out there
Confessional, Drew
Alejandro is ho… I mean very good at the game. I don't trust him per say but I am open to working with him, especially since I don't think anyone would expect it. I just gotta be careful with who I choose to work with. I almost have too many options right now.
"Hello Campers! We're down to eight of you. My how the time goes by," Chris reminisced. The campers took note as he was dressed in a rather fine baby blue tuxedo. Several raised their eyebrows as they started to muse on what the challenge could be.
"Not fast enough," Chef suddenly came out in a pink dress. "The good thing is that I ain't cooking for all of you, just a few of you for these last challenges."
"This time there is an opportunity for more than one person to win immunity, but it's going to be very hard to do so," Dakota said as she strode in in a fashionable lime green dress and vest combo.
"Today's challenge is a throwback to Season One. We couldn't do individuals back then because of the cast size but now we've got a manageable eight to take care of. So, you're going to have four hours to set up your special effects. An audience of mutated peers will be judging you."
"Mutated?" Geoff tilted his head.
"From last season?" Chris asked.
Geoff shook his head. "Because of the entire radiation thing?"
Geoff shook his head. "Wow, maybe the lack of society is finally getting to you," Chris asked in half concern.
"You've all gotta get going, I have to check in the group," Dakota said while Chef brought about a cart full of theater treats.
"This seems like a very simple challenge," Alejandro pointed out.
"Yeah, I thought we'd be dealing with fire," Harold said offhandedly.
"PLEASE NO!" Todd shouted, unintentionally drawing attention to him. "I'd rather be stuck in the forest alone."
"Okay you can stop that," Bridgette held up a placating hand.
"The drama will come from you, this challenge. It can be as dangerous as you want, but we're at the point in the season where we can't do a medical evacuation or a DQ so you're going to have to stick with your injury," Chris clarified. "What are you waiting for? Go!'
Rather slowly the campers turned backstage to see eight separate stations for them to work. "We are allowed to work together right?"Geoff asked the group.
"Might be prudent to, possiblemente no," Alejandro shrugged.
"Well, break a leg then," Drew said as the group split off.
Confessional, Todd
I only learned I can yodel yesterday. I'm not doing that again.
Confessional, Cody
Hmm, I'm honestly not going to have another chance to do this. Might as well.
Confessional, Drew
Oh, you're going to find out what's in store.
A small camera montage passed of the campers flitting between several stations as Dakota occasionally dove into the piles and removed several offending items. Harold had found himself a speaker and some sparkling water. He sniffed an open bottle of mouthwash before shrugging. Drew had found a wheelbarrow and put an empty radiation barrel into it. Bridgette and Geoff looked at each other briefly before they both grabbed some plywood, dividing it rather evenly. Todd had found several sandbags and was straining to carry one before a nearby Alejandro offered his hand to help. Alexis opened a wardrobe and was suddenly hit with a flurry of clothes, in style and out of style
The montage ended to show Todd and Drew both working in a wide open space. "Unless the building is modular I don't know how it got built this quickly," Todd asked Drew.
"You've got bigger concerns Todd," Drew sighed. "Like how your art is going to stand against my art."
"Hey we can both stand out," Todd quickly replied. "But that's probably true that I need to worry about it."
"Not just me. But here," Drew handed a pipe to Todd. "Hold this."
Todd held the pipe in his hands as kicked away one of his open sandbags. "It's good that you channel a lot of yourself into the art. But I've been hearing from the others that you're doing a lot with the idols."
"Idols?" Drew asked. "I wouldn't worry about that. I just got bored. I haven't gotten wind of a real one since a certain not so sweet blondie. You wouldn't be worried if you had the numbers then."
"I mean you know why we're talking right? I just need to-"
A loud and hollow sound echoed in Todd's face as he was sprayed with puke colored paint. "That sounds a little too low."
Todd spit out some paint. "I hope you can find someone else to work with." He walked his way to Bridgette as the campers.
"Sorry Todd," Drew called out before she looked at some of her pipes.
Confessional, Drew
I do take my art seriously. And that seriousness is a lot of fun.
Confessional, Todd
I was going to tell her that people are paranoid that she's making fakes. Ah well.
"How's your thing going Bridgette?" Todd wiped the paint from his face. Geoff had picked up a flat board and was fixing wheels to it. "That's a lot of wood and water you're using."
"Best of both worlds Todd," Bridgette explained. "I hope you and Drew didn't get into a serious fight."
"Nah, I'm sure we'll both get over it. Are you working with Geoff for your talent?"
Bridgette shook her head. "We both needed a lot of plywood and Geoff is going back in the piles to look for some more metal."
"Alright well good luck with your talent," Geoff stood up. "I think I have everything." He stepped on his skateboard in an effort to skate away rather slyly. Unfortunately for him one of Harold's components was on the ground and Geoff spiraled away.
"See you later," Bridgette sighed. "Boy…"
Confessional, Geoff
I've had worse wipeouts before, worse in front of less pretty girls. This one though, wasn't necessarily the best.
Harold tapped a microphone in front of him while Alexis tried on a black jacket. "Gosh that's going to be hot under the stage," Harold mentioned. "I think this is why Chris wanted the challenge to be later in the day."
"I haven't put that together. But this fabric is actually really good at making it breathe under the lights so I think I should be fine. Maybe you should focus on your act. This is the third time you've mentioned something of the sort."
"Gosh, you're right," Harold mumbled as Alejandro passed by in a green soccer jersey. "I didn't take you to be the sporting type."
"Oh no, mi hermano is the one most associated with futbol. I only got the skills so that I wouldn't get humiliated by him," Alejandro started to dribble a soccer ball.
"Here in Canada a lot of people would consider that a soccer ball."
"True in Ohio too," Alexis chimed in.
"Es bueno que no estemos en Ohio," Alejandro placidly explained. A brief pause occurred as HArold leaned against a nearby wall where he was calibrating a mic. Noting his conversation partner's sudden movement, Alejandro gave Alexis a smile before joining Harold along the wall.
"I think it's possible that someone has a fake idol," Harold whispered, handing over a mic to Alejandro. "But I can't put my finger on it."
"Hmm, the thought has crossed my mind. The last vote could have been a good time to play the idol just so that we can get Roman out, brute as he is, would have been loco para este situacion."
"Well, I think Drew might be the most likely because of her artistry," Harold mentioned.
"Is that true?" Alejandro said as he leaned on The wall where Harold was currently calibrating one of his mics.
"Yes," Harold said. Before he could say anything else the mic began reverberating against one of the speakers. Alejandro and Harold dropped the mics they were holding and dove out of the way.
"Gosh, that wasn't… ugh…"
"Well, I guess I'll leave you to it. Thanks for the thought."
"No problem Al," Harold gasped.
If Alejandro heard Harold, he pretended he didn't.
Confessional, Alejandro
So Drew has been making waves… and Harold just called me 'Al''. I guess the game is taking a toll on all of us.
Another couple of hours passed as the campers quickly set up their talent show components. The time ticked closer to showtime as Dakota and Chef were seen ushering the live audience into their seats. A couple of interns were still cleaning up the bleachers as each mutant took their seat.
"To the left," Chef pointed to a pair of disinterested crabs. "Oh you're going to want to head to the front," Chef explained to a three eyed blue bird."
"Larry, Chris says it's best for you to be in the back. All I ask is that you consider your fellow mutants."
A couple of interns ran away from some screaming mutant beavers as Fang and his date managed to take their spot. Dakota rushed down and asked Fang to move to the accessible seats. Fang rolled his eyes and pushed his partner to the seats.
Confessional, Chef
I don't get paid enough for this..
"Mutants, Native animals, contestants, and viewers at home, welcome to the second ever Total Drama Talent Contest!" Chris said as he stepped out onto the stage. "Eight acts will appear before you for a five minute display of their chosen talent. Once every camper is done, that's where you, the live audience, will rank the choices."
The camera transitioned into the audience where a mutated flower was currently holding a voting device. It clicked on Todd to reveal several sliders to rank his, as of yet unknown talent.
"Alright everyone, settle down, up first is Todd with a soothing sand art display," Dakota cheered into a microphone.
Todd wheeled out a large projector mechanism filled with sand and flipped a switch on. Some sand flew into the air in some poorly planned spilling while the image was displayed on the screen. He cleared apart some sand to make a mock image of camp Wawanakwa. He drew a smaller fine tipped pen to add details on the island
Some in the audience started to look confused but others remained with their attention glued onto the stage in front of them as Todd continued to do hsi art. It seemed to be divided in one refined half of the island and a messier bottom half. The music started to stammer as Todd seemed to remain focused on his rather light storytelling in his piece of art. Several layers of light poked through the display and the projector started to manifest a piece of art.
When five minutes finished, he turned the image upside down to reveal a radioactive part of the island. He spun the art and slightly distorted the image but in the end, a respectable mockup of camp Wawanakwa, pre and post radiation appeared on the screen. Todd took a bow as the mutants gave polite applause.
Confessional, Harold
…sorry that was it? Not my style, and not really talented, but I thought he could do something more.
"Next up, we have Drew gearing up for a one woman show. Any other words won't do it justice," Chef read off of a piece of paper.
The curtains parted to polite applause as Drew appeared on stage in front of an empty radiation barrel. When the spotlights centered on her the audience was made aware that she was covered in green paint over her face, a dark black turtleneck, and was holding some drumsticks. She blinked unnervingly to the camera as she started to drum.
The audience of mutants leaned forward as she hit a button on the side of the radiation drum. While inconsistent the radioactive drum started to make something of a familiar tune. Another drum dropped from the ceiling, this one filled with blue paint, that fell onto the other drum while she continued to drum. The blue started mixing with a red light that appeared from the drum.
Drew kept her gaze on the audience as she drummed faster. Suddenly, she changed instruments from drumsticks to paddles, and a mirror showed up behind her. As she started to whack the drum with a paddle another drum dropped from the ceiling with yellow paint.
With the paint flying, the mirror behind her slowly got covered in more and more paint. Once she finished her drum solo she stepped out from the drums and brought the mirror forward, an almost perfect silhouette of her. She bowed to the audience and disappeared behind the mirror.
Confessional, Geoff
(He's staring wide eyed at the camera) WHAT WAS THAT?!
The camera cut to the audience of mutants as they all glanced at each other before pushing several buttons on the device handed to them. "Alright…. Next up we have Bridgette with a hand walk routine above, under, and through several obstacles!" Dakota read rather briskly and stepped out of the way.
The curtains parted to show a rather detailed obstacle course on the field. Atop a ramp that stood some five feet high above the stage Bridgette waved to the audience. She blew a kiss to a particularly flirty wooly beaver who seemed to faint in response. She dropped to her hands and kicked her feet in the air.
She seemed to almost run down the ramp at a startling speed before she adjusted her balance by kicking her feet up. She seemed to pump as she made it to the next obstacle, some staggered steps that looked rather similar to the Giants Steppe. Flawlessly she rose over the ascent and waved her foot to the audience.
The next obstacle was a balance beam that started where the last obstacle ended. Though she wavered from side to side she managed to keep herself high. She managed to pass through the next obstacle, a small platform lightly misted by three sprinklers, with more hesitation, but finally managed to pass through.
She walked down the last obstacle, a simple catwalk, as the lights beneath her feet managed to light up. She stopped on a giant goal step just as sparklers lit from either side of her. The mutants seemed to cheer and a fire breathing goat managed to synchronize their burst of flame as Bridgette left the stage still on her hands.
Confessional, Cody
That was some nice control over there. And some great strength for that matter. If I didn't live in Edmonton I could definitely use going to the beach. Maybe by then I'd actually have a beach body.
"Now we have a rip roaring in your face totally XTREME SK8BOARD BIT BY OUR OWN GEOFF!" Chef shouted into the microphone before clearing his throat and grumbling off stage.
Where there was once Bridgette's handstand gauntlet there was now a rather large halfpipe that took up most of the stage. Much like Bridgette before him, Geoff stood high on top of one of the elevated portions and waved to the audience. He wasted no time in dropping into the pipe to build up speed.
The crowd of mutants let out a cheer as he turned with a flair that caused skids to appear in the wooden half pipe. There were more spins as Geoff started to regain his balance. He managed to leap into the air again with a three sixty that included him grabbing the nose.
On one of the ends of the halfpipe set up a low rail as Geoff managed to ride faster and faster. He jumped onto the rail and ground onto the rail, emitting sparks in a low line of energy. The mutants cheered as Geoff jumped off of the halfpipe and spun his skateboard on its nose.
Confessional, Todd
Extreme sports weren't really my thing, but Geoff did it really well.
"Next up we have an all north American classic brought forth by our highest placing American this season! Give it up for Alexis Martin and her boyband act!" Chef announced.
A familiar tune started to belt from the speakers as the speakers seemed to split. Alexis, dressed much like a boy band member from the nineties. Chris flinched as Alexis started her choreography. She twirled the white cap on her head as Chris started to relax. From the rafters a pair of folding plastic chairs dropped as she invited Drew on stage.
Still in green face paint, Drew sat opposite of Alexis on one of the chairs as a guitar twang slowly became more prominent. To the beat of several twangs, Alexis slowly began to maneuver around her own plastic chair in a strikingly choreographed sequence. Her dance brought her closer and closer to Drew and the choreograph stopped with Alexis holding Drew's chin in her hands.
Confessional, Drew
(Still clad in green face paint, she stares at the camera, a twinge of red on her face)
"Thank you, Alexis," Chris said when Alexis and Drew parted the stage. The mutants all glanced at each other before pushing their buttons. "Now we have CEJ the DJ with an electrifying kite flying show!"
Dressed in blue rubber coveralls, Cody stepped onto stage with a remote in his hand and an intricate blue kite tucked under his other arms. He pressed the button as a slight wind picked up behind him. His hair seemed to stand on end as an electric charge filled up much of the stage. A strange instrument appeared from below the stage as Cody wrapped the kite's string around his leg.
Maneuvering much like a marionette puppet, he maintained his balance just as the electric charge channeled its way into the kite, causing a small spark to appear. Cody's hands were both free as he manipulated the knobs on the theremin to make a hauntingly beautiful wail that seemed to channel the sparked up kite through the sky.
The kite flew over the audience with colors changing to Cody's gently manipulated tunes as a spark seemed to go down the string before stopping at his legs. Cody seemed undeterred as he changed the tunes yet again for a more triumphant sounding wail as the kite seemed to perform subtly large loops high above the eagerly awaiting mutant audience.
A large spark traveled up the string that caused the kite to seemingly transform into a golden and victorious phoenix. With the wind dying down, the phoenix kite dropped into the seats next to a crying wooly beaver and a concerned looking goat that gave a small sigh of fire.
Confessional, Alejandro
(There's a tear in his eye) Que raro… y que bonita… I've yet to hear or know of such a fine instrument.
"After that shockingly beautiful performance, up next we have Alejandro with a good old futbol shootout!"
Now clad in what looked like a standard soccer jersey, Alejandro stood opposite of a modified ball launcher. A dozen soccer balls seemed to be packed in the container while seven crudely drawn images of the other competitors stood on a rather simplistic soccer net. Alejandro called for a cheer from the audience just as the first ball shot out of the cannon.
In a stunning display of acrobatics, Alejandro hopped onto his hands and sprung in such a way that he kicked the ball right back at the soccer net. A small klaxxon signified his success as he smiled at the audience. He sprung back onto his feet to intercept the next ball with his head, that he used to knock into the effigy of Todd. He flashed finger guns to the audience as the machine fired two more times.
Jugging both balls with his feet, Alejandro managed to use one to hit Cody's image and Harold's image in consecutive order. Another ball that fired seemed to catch him off guard but he made a sweeping dive off stage, kicking low pretty close to a mutant goat that was in the front seat, before using his skills to launch the ball up and into Drew's drawing.
He did a simple kick back into the net for the next ball just as another ball seemed to arc high into the air. He balanced the ball on his back and then headbutted it into Geoff's image. He kicked the next ball with a flourish such that it almost gently kissed the net. Another ball later and he promptly sent it towards the Bridgette drawing. Another ball fire and rebound went straight into Alexis' image. Yet again the ball launcher fired and Alejandro was able to juggle it on his knees before he kicked it sideways into the net.
As Alejandro pumped up the audience the ball launcher fired once more. With a spectacular flip that seemed to go into slow motion, Alejandro flipped backwards into a victorious flip and kick that sent the ball almost flaming through the net with a giant hole. The audience cheered as Alejandro jogged off stage.
Confessional, Bridgette
Man, he's got moves, very flexible. Really nice.
"Last but not least," Chris stepped on stage once more. "Harold is going to show how he can beat the competition with acapella beatboxing!"
Harold stood on stage, alone, a single spotlight shining down on him. He tapped the microphone to get some feedback. He stared into the audience of mutants as Sasquatchinakwa seemed to be rather bored. His eyes flitted about to see the teleporting frog above the audience suddenly come crashing down.
Then he started.
It was a small sound like a 'puh.'. And then it was a record scratch. He leaned his head back to catch his breath but exhaled some of his air in order to create the impression of tire scratches.
Harold shrugged his shoulders as he gasped at regular intervals. He spoke into the mic with a couple of 'awesomes' and a sprinkle of 'gosh'.
The audience leaned forward as Harold took his audience through a two minute whirlwind of trills, grunts, sound effects, and kooky facial expressions. Once his music died down some of the mutants, a goat, some flowers, and a crab, started imitating his voices in a funny tune. The audience gave Harold polite applause as Harold took a bow.
Confessional, Alexis
…Wow… did he attend camp for that? If so, that's a really good camp.
"Okay everyone, the results have been tallied!" The camera showed the eight campers all in a row. Todd had some sand on his hoodie, Drew was still in a black turtleneck and some green was still on her face, Bridgette looked fairly normal, Geoff still wore his helmet, Alexis popped a hip idly, Cody's hair was slightly unkempt, Alejandro also seemed fairly normal, and Harold was drinking a bottle of water.
"Our top three were… Bridgette… Cody… and Geoff." The three named campers took a step forward to the cheers of the mutants. "Alexis, yours wasn't really that interesting. Drew…. What was that? No mutant understood what was going on. Todd, yours didn't necessarily captivate the audience. Alejandro, the mutants were really hoping for football, not soccer.. Harold, the audience thought you were good but they thought the others were better."
Confessional, Drew
Excuse me for not realizing that mutants don't understand performance art.
Confessional, Harold
Gosh! I didn't go to Vocalist Steve Vocal camp to be told that I'm just 'good' by mutants.
"Now, of the three who the audience enjoyed…." The mutants seemed to be getting more rowdy and riotous. "HEY! I have to say something!"
A mix of murmurs and grumbles came from the mutants. "Now, of the three…. The mutants gave thirty-three percent of the top three votes to this person…. And…. CODY! CONGRATULATIONS FOR IMMUNITY NUMBER TWO WITH YOUR ELECTRIFYING AND CAPTIVATING KITE SHOW!"
Cody's fellow campers gave polite applause as Cody cheered and seemed to crowd surf with the mutants, only flinching once when Fang's sharp fin carried his back. "Bridgette, you missed out on immunity by one percent, had you tied you would have been immune. Geoff, you missed it by eight percent. Time to strategize everyone."
Confessional, Cody
This feels good, but I don't wanna get too greedy. I can worry about the next challenge tomorrow. Now, I get to have a great slider platter with sweet tea! Thank goodness I don't have to worry about my head on the chopping block.
Confessional, Alexis
Good for Cody, but he's the first person to win two immunities. I hope this isn't too much of a target for him.
Confessional, Bridgette
Maybe we have to cut Cody soon.
After Challenge
"Alright what are we thinking amigos? We don't have much time, everyone is scrambling," Alejandro said to Alexis and Geoff who were sitting beside him in the cave entrance.
"I think we should work with Bridgette and maybe Drew," Geoff chimed in.
"I agree with Geoff, I think Harold and Cody are way too much of a duo, if we split them up, and we split Todd and Bridgette up, we could hold a very powerful trio majority," Alexis stated.
"Hmmmm. Should we go for Todd now then?" Alejandro suggested.
"No not yet, I think we gotta go for Harold and Cody. If we take out Todd, Bridgette and Drew probably won't want to work with us… speaking from experience," Geoff mused.
"Hmmm. Should we see what they say and then make our decision? I think us three hold the cards right now, but I do agree with Geoff, we shouldn't be too pushy." Alexis said, brushing her hair off to the side.
"Alright, sounds like a plan," Alejandro said standing up from his spot.
Confessional, Geoff
I wish Laine was still here, but this is a group that I feel really good about working with going forward. I don't want to betray anyone else.
"And why are we trusting Alexis? Let alone Alejandro!?" Todd exclaimed to Bridgette and Drew. The trio were huddled by the river, their eyes darting to the forest looking to make sure someone doesn't sneak up on them.
"Do we have much of a choice? We need to get someone from their side out. If Alejandro and Alexis are looking to take out one of their own, why not go for it?" Drew argued.
"Why not go tell Cody and Harold then?"
"If we did that, then I think they'd all just reunite at that point because then we can't be trusted. I think they think they have Geoff. But even if they do, which I doubt, we would hold numbers over them," Bridgette explained.
"I don't know, it doesn't make a lot of sense to me for them to flip, unless they really truly believe they have Geoff," Todd mused.
"Geoff and Alejandro have a good relationship, I think Alejandro is just really confident in that," Drew said.
"Well that means we kinda have to go for Harold then, since Cody is immune," Todd said.
"Let's see what they say, I don't think it matters too much as long as they're split up," Bridgette said.
Confessional, Todd
Not an ideal plan, but at least SOMETHING is happening
Confessional, Bridgette
I know Todd isn't really included in my deals, but I intend to keep him in the long term. He is the only one I trust one hundred percent
"Are you sure you want to go for Todd?" Harold asked. "I would think Bridgette or Drew would be better options."
"Yes amigo, Geoff seems very willing to go for Todd, which is good for us, and means we don't have to have another tie again, especially since we don't know who they're voting for."
"True…" Cody started. "I do like Todd, but I feel like we could all beat Drew in most challenges. Bridgette is really their only physical player left after Eva and Laine went home."
"That is true, but Drew has proven that she can hold her own in challenges, she's finished towards the top a handful of times already."
"I guess…." Harold paused. "Let's go for Todd then. We do need to get our numbers back for sure, and I doubt Todd has an idol, he'd have played it by now for Laine or Eva if he did."
"Agreed."
.Confessional, Alejandro
And the trap is set.
Alejandro walked away from the pair, leaving Cody and Harold in the forest to chat on their own.
"He seemed almost a little too forceful for that," Cody stated, bringing his hand to his chin.
"Yeah, he's usually far more diplomatic, it's possible he's trying to make his move on Todd now, it's not exactly a secret those two are after each other," Harold mused, taking a seat by a tree.
"Do you think something might be up? I still think he'd have us with Alexis and Geoff if we were to come to a group decision." Cody replied.
"He did mention that he talked with Geoff, I don't know. Him going for Todd makes sense, but you are right that something does feel a bit fishy."
Confessional, Harold
Alejandro I am sensing a lie from you. If he has flipped, he's either going for Alexis or myself given Cody has immunity, or maybe Geoff, but that would be weird. I could see him going for Alexis given her social ties, but I don't see Alejandro flipping right now given Bridgette, Drew, and Todd are all still clumped together, so that begs the question… What is he planning?
As Harold walked away from Cody, Todd approached the geek, "Hey Cody., what's up?" Todd exclaimed, waving at Cody.
"Oh hey Todd!" Cody replied.
"I saw you and Harold talking, have you guys heard anything new?"
"Nothing crazy. Although Alejandro did talk to us earlier, and he was acting off, he was pushing your name, but we don't think that's his actual plan."
"What do you mean?" Todd asked.
"Alejandro is usually very democratic when deciding on who to vote for, but he was overly pushy this time."
"Hmmm. I have heard Harold's name out there, but I don't know how serious it is. If I'm honest I have felt very on the outs with conversations this time."
"I've felt the same. I feel like us two need to stick together, or else we may get left behind."
"Agreed. I think we could maybe pull some numbers together to vote out Alejandro. Us and Harold, I think Bridgette would be open to it. Drew does really seem to want Harold gone though so we'd have to push her to do it."
"Why does Drew want Harold out?"
"He's been saying she has an idol when she doesn't, it's been annoying her."
"Fair. Let's reconvene later, but we gotta get ourselves back into the fold.
Confessional, Todd
I'm not letting on how big of a target Harold is right now. If I can get Alejandro out, I'm one hundred percent doing it, but Harold going works for me too. The main thing is keeping Cody on my side.
Confessional, Cody
Alejandro has been weirding me out all evening, I'm ready to vote him out gamewise… but I don't know if I can do it on a personal level… ugh it's so tough.
As the sky slowly started to turn to dark the campers were scrambling around unsure on what to do. Alexis, Bridgette, Geoff, and Drew all decided to meet up behind the cave away from the other campers.
"I've heard a few names floating around, mainly Harold and Todd, and a bit of Alejandro," Bridgette exclaimed, Alexis and Geoff both glanced at each other at Alejandro's name being mentioned.
"I haven't heard Alejandro's name, who's been saying that?" Alexis asked.
"Todd and Cody have both been putting feelers out on it, but no one seems eager to cut him loose yet," Bridgette explained.
"That's interesting, but I guess we gotta decide between Todd and Harold then," Alexis mused.
"I personally kinda lean going Todd if I'm honest," Geoff stated, Bridgette shot him a bit of a sideways glance.
"Why Todd?" Drew asked. "I feel like Harold is the more obvious threat, especially with his duo with Cody."
"Agreed, he's also surprisingly very smart strategically, not something I think anyone wants to deal with," Alexis added.
"Todd's also smart strategically, but I get what y'all are saying. Should we just put our votes on Harold then?" Geoff asked.
"We can rope in Alejandro as well," Bridgette added. "Todd as well I think would vote with us."
"We'd have to leave Cody on the outs of this, but he's immune so I doubt he'll care that much," Drew stated.
"Mhmmm. Alright let's go Harold," Alexis stated, high fiving the other three. Her and Geoff split off leaving Drew and Bridgette behind.
Confessional, Alexis
After this morning, I want to keep Cody in my corner, so this is just addition by subtraction.
Confessional, Drew
Harold has been pushing for me to go all merge. I'm ready for him to skedaddle.
"You think we could get Alejandro out?" Bridgette asked Drew.
"I mean I guess… we'd just need Todd, Cody, and Harold," Drew replied.
"We'd only need Todd and Cody's vote. I don't really trust Harold if I'm honest."
"I don't either, and I'd still lean voting him out… but doing a vote like that would maybe bring Cody closer to us and get Alejandro out…. But."
"But?" Bridgette asked, perplexed.
"But, if anyone has an idol, it'd be Alejandro."
"True, he's incredibly skilled at everything… But it's so late that they should still vote for Harold even if Alejandro senses something, they wouldn't have the time to switch their votes if they caught on."
"Maybe, maybe not. But if he feels good with us he shouldn't play an idol. Now would be a good time to take out Alejandro. But if it backfires or Cody or even Geoff or Alexis aren't fully with us, we could easily be picked off at seven, six, and five."
"You're probably right. But that could also happen if Alejandro sticks around, we just gotta figure out between him and Harold which one is going to bring us more numbers."
Confessional, Drew
I mean I did say I'd be open to working with Alejandro… but I never said I was certain on that
Confessional, Bridgette
This would betray Alexis and Geoff pretty hard… but Alejandro is a scary player, it's something to really think about. If we're going to do this it'll be last minute.
Elimination Ceremony
"Welcome in campers to your next elimination ceremony! Tonight eight will soon become seven. You guys are entering the end game. If you think you don't have much of a chance, you better start doing something to change that. I already had Chef collect the votes this time. You guys or whatever forest animals run around here have stunk that thing up bad…" Chris said.
"What creatures? Todd said. "The island is robotic."
"Oh put a sock in it Todd!" Chris exclaimed.
"Anyways, if anyone has an idol they would like to play, now is the time to do so."
.
.
.
.
"Yeah Chris, one second," A boy said, standing up from his stump and reaching into his pocket. He walked over to Chris and pulled out a wooden bust of his head.
Handing it to Chris he said, "I got a gut feeling this afternoon that something was off, so I think I'm going to be playing that on myself." With that, he took a seat, looking at his allies and his adversaries as the camera focused onto the scene at large.
"This IS a real hidden Chris idol. Any votes for HAROLD will not count," Chris exclaimed. Jaws hit the floor as the person they deemed most unlikely to have the idol confidently strode up. Harold's glasses seemed to hold a satisfied glint in his eyes while his smile grew.
"Alright I'll read the votes."
.
.
.
.
.
"FIRST VOTE… Harold. Does not count"
.
.
.

.
.
.
SECOND VOTE… Harold. Does not count"
.

"THIRD VOTE… Harold. Does not count"
.
.
.
.

"FOURTH VOTE…. Harold. Does not count"

.
.
.
"FIFTH VOTE… Harold. Does not count"
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
"SIXTH VOTE… Harold. Does not count" Everyone was visibly nervous now, Cody and Harold would surely vote together, meaning this next parchment was the death sentence for someone's game. Beads of sweat were dripping down faces, nails were being chewed, all the while Harold sat on his stump cocky and confident, while Cody looked emotionless, almost unsure on how to react.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
"SEVENTH VOTE…" Chris paused for a moment, letting the drama take hold as he looked at the name on the parchment, his eyes widened in shock, even he couldn't contain himself. "Drew."
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
"EIGHTH VOTE… And the thirteenth person voted out and the fourth member of our jury…. Drew."
"Wow… well…I… well played Harold. As for the rest of you, good luck. I really thought I had a chance," Drew said standing up from her stump, she went to hug Bridgette and Todd who both appeared sad.
She went to shake Harold's hand, "If it's any consolation I went for you cause I thought you were the biggest threat to win," Harold said.
"I'll take what I can get," Drew chuckled. "So long everyone," Drew said as she jumped into the cannon, "Light it up Chef!"
Chef lit the fuse firing Drew into the air causing her to scream like there was no tomorrow, before turning into wild laughter as she crash landed into the water where Dakota could get her.
"And eight has become seven, with a wild idol play, there is still one more out there, there are still plenty of blindsides to be had before we reach the end game. Four episodes are left before our reunion special, so buckle up because this season is in for a wild finish."
Final Confessional, Drew
WHAT A WAY TO GO! I know you all would think I'd be disappointed going out here and only getting two votes. But hey if you're going to go out in any way it'd be by an idol you know? Obviously I am rooting for my girl Bridgette to go out and win this thing. We got really close the last few days here, sucks we weren't able to fully realize our plan. We managed to actually flip Alejandro and Alexis, just for Harold to have an idol. But hey good for him, he finally got his way and made them look like fools hahaha!
Votes
Alejandro: I need to split your little duo up before you get me. Harold
Alexis: Sorry Harold, but I need to make sure Cody is with me. Harold
Bridgette: I'd much rather keep Drew around, sorry we didn't get to fully ever work together. Harold
Cody: Harold's idol, Harold's call… not that I agree with this one. Drew
Drew: You can stop spreading rumors about this idol I supposedly have now. Harold
Geoff: Sorry homie. Harold
Harold: If no one else will listen to me, then I will make them listen myself Drew
Todd: Down with the nerds I guess…I'm aware of the hypocrisy Harold
Scenes from the Next Episode:
"Am I the only one feeling bored?" Cody asked Bridgette to his left.
"No," Bridgette sighed. "At least we're on the water."
"I don't know if I'd prefer ice or desert," Cody shrugged. "Just some kind of-"
A giant tuna fish jumped out of the water and made a splash. "I suppose that'll do."
"Bro I haven't been up this long since my brother had that all night raver," Geoff mumbled to himself. "At least then we had-"
"Woah!" Harold held his hands out as if to stop Geoff from talking. "I don't wanna learn any more about the mailboxes you made out with!"
"COCONUTS HAVE WATER IN THEM!" Alexis deliriously shouted. She jumped to Alejandro and tackled him into the water. "I HATE FLAMINGOS AND I HATE MONGOOSES!"
"EL PLURAL ES MONGI! POR QUÉ ESTOY HABALANDO EN ESPANOL!?" Cody suddenly shouted.
"? ᄌホ ︎✌︎❄︎ ✋︎? ᄌホ ︎ ︎✋︎ ︎ ︎ ︎ ︎" Harold said as he looked at Bridgette.
"Okay, we're surprised you're all lasting this long. So, yours truly, Chef, and Dakota came up with three temptations. Number one! The first person to step off will get a free pass to a glamping cabin in the Carolinian Forest! Number Two! The second person to step off will have the chance to take a joyride in one of Chef's go-karts-"
"Hey Daddy didn't agree to that! He agreed to the one in Point Pelee!" Dakota objected.
"And why must you use my Go Karts again?! The insurance barely got them to the same condition last season!"
"Shush! I haven't read the third one!"
Bored, the campers started dancing on their stations to royalty free music. Once it stopped, everyone pointed at Geoff and said "GEOFF!"
The music started again before stopping. "TODD!"
The music started once more before stopping. "CODY!"
Another cycle passed through. "BRIDGETTE!"
Yet another cycle came by. "ALEJANDRO!"
Another cycle went through. "HAROLD!"
Alexis spun on her station and jumped in the air as the final seven all shouted "ALEXIS!"
Reviews
Super Sonic heroes(Rj here): Roman was very very very fun to write but I'm glad you enjoyed his elimination and his 'redeeming' features especially when I consider most of those features the bare minimum. Glad you enjoyed the changes in the baby challenge, mechanical was really the main way to go for it.
(Trygve): Roman was never meant to win, just to be a big character who caused drama and he served his purpose well I see. And indeed it was an interesting showdown this episode! Hope you enjoyed it..
Nobody245 (Rj here): Yeah Roman didn't have a breakdown but I hope his departure was still funny. Was this the explosion you predicted? Glad you enjoyed the chapter.
(Trygve): Well we didn't cut Cody but your predictions are indeed ruined! Hope you enjoyed!
LordGemini (Rj here): You know, if it weren't for the idol, you would have been fairly on the money. Time will tell how well Bridgette manages to weather this fallout. It looks like you spent much of last episode figuring out how this episode would go.
(Trygve): Well an idol was indeed played, and the first successful one of the season. As RJ said had Harold not found an idol you'd have been fairly correct, I hope you enjoyed the execution of the blindside well, this was probably one of my favorite strategy segments of the series so far.
