(Author's Note)
So, I listened to some nice music and got inspired and, well, it's not a Coffee Shop AU, but instead, it's a French Cafe in Paris.
There's more to this AU, but that's for you to discover!
This fanfiction made for a friend of mine who likes this show (and probably knows way more than I do about it, in-fact, I've probably done this show dirty with my writing, ha ha...) and I hope they enjoy it and I portrayed the characters accurately enough. :)

Falling is a terrifying feel, the fluttering of your heartbeat, the wind flapping your clothes roughly against you, everything passing by in a blur. But this, this was calming...
It was slow, the clothes were almost like they were in space. The heartbeat was calm and didn't thump hardly, everything was a blur still but it was softer and didn't go too quickly.
Five opened his eyes for the first time since falling into this unknown tunnel of blurry blue. It was calming, but it left eerie vibes crawling through him. He had no idea why he was here, other than the fact he fell. He actually had no idea where here was.
He was just...falling.
Five decided to try and move, his movements were slow, but he managed to slowly flip around. It felt like he was in outer space. He looked around, but there was no sign of anything other than that blue-ish toned blur. Was he...dreaming?
Suddenly, things went faster, and faster and fasterandfasterandfasterandfasterfasterfasterfast
"Five!"
Five snapped awake, hitting his head on the roof of the car. He glanced around, his heart fluttering like it was in his dream when things got faster. He was in the car, he was in Vanya's car. That...That was good, he supposed. "Gosh, you worried me for a second. You're a deep sleeper aren't you?" Vanya smiled brightly.
He ran his hands through his brown hair, "Yeah, yeah sure." He muttered quietly.
"Com'on, we're gonna be late." Vanya patted his shoulder and crawled out the car door. Five shuffled himself out of the car, a little poodle puppy following him from the floorboard. France, Paris. It was an interesting place with beautiful sights for sure. Tourists were fun to meet as well, even if sometimes they had a bit of broken french.
It would help if maybe Duolingo wouldn't teach people how to say if they were a cat in Germany or a horse and a dog in New York? How would that help...
Vanya dug through her pockets and pulled out a set of keys and began unlocking a glass door with a Umbrella Symbol on it. Five followed Vanya in and so did the little puppy. "Alright, let's see here. Five, will you flip that sign to Open please while I go check our stock? Thanks." Vanya grabbed a clipboard off of the counter and put it to her chest.
Five nodded and headed right back to the door and put his hand on the sign, just to notice his dog friend there. "Hey, you're supposed to be back home with the others." Five flipped the sign right quick and grabbed the dog. He was greeted by a lick to the face.
"Vanya, I have to go back to the car. Our little nosy friend snuck a ride." Five held him up. "Klaus?" Vanya perked her head from the doorway of the storage room. "No, the other nosy one." Five replied. "Oh, well, be sure to come back before rush hour." Vanya waved and disappeared back into the storage room.
Five exited the cafe and headed to the car, then placed him back in the floorboard. "You naughty boy." Five pointed at the poodle dog, but he only wagged his tail and barked at Five. He sighed and then pulled out his phone from the cup-holder and began dialing one of the other Hargreaves. The phone rang for a bit and then Diego answered. "What."
"Can you come to the cafe? Got a surprise for you. He might lick you though." Five told him. "Ah crap, again? Alright, alright, give me a minute and I'll be right there." Diego sighed.
They both hung up and Five glanced at the pup again, he rolled his eyes and smirked a little. He closed the backdoor and then sat in the front-seat, kicking his legs gently as he waited for Diego to arrive and take the little mischievous mutt off his hands.
Five looked down at the sidewalk for a moment.
He still wondered what was up with that dream he had...
Five had never had anything like that happen before.
