A Not So Big Story About A Certain Bunny!

This is a humorous collection of stories about Judy's life as a Disney star and her relationship with Nick. For anyone who might be interested, this is also a continuation of a series of short stories I have written about the cast of Zootopia living in the "real world". The other stores are the Zootopia Wilde Tales and Everyone Loves Finnick.

I do not own the rights to Zootopia or any of its characters. Thank you to Disney for the movie. This story was written solely for the reader's enjoyment and without any profitable purposes. All names, characters, locations, and incidents portrayed within are being used in a fictitious manner.

Chapter 1: Grumpy

Sometimes you just wake up on the proverbial 'wrong side of the bed'.

"There's a time and place for everything, and I believe it's called 'fan fiction." ― Joss Whedon

Judy and Nick's Apartment near Walt Disney World

It was yet another sunny morning in the Sunshine State and sunbeams peeked around the corners of the drawn window curtains, brightly illuminating the small bedroom and waking its slumbering inhabitant. "Murrrffff…" Nick gave a toothy yawn and stretched in the bed. He sat up and rubbed his eyes, blinking a few times before collapsing back onto the wadded-up blankets. The handsome reddish-orange-furred fox lazily pulled one of the blankets over him before snuggling into a nearby pillow. "Juuudddyyy!" he whined out. "Come back to bed."

"We're going to be late for work if you don't drag yourself out of bed and take a shower," the bunny called back from the bathroom in a rather curt manner. There was the whirling sound of a fur dryer before something fell off the bathroom counter and clattered on the tile floor, this was followed by a string of very not G-Rated curses causing the fox's ears to perk up in surprise.

"My goodness, you are in a grumpy mood this morning!" he called out to her when she charged into the room in her underwear, her ears were down and she had a frown on her muzzle.

"I'm not being grumpy, I just didn't sleep very well last night," she grumbled before walking over and yanking open the closet door. "Every day it's the same old police tactical uniform…same old belt…same old vest…I do hope they find something else for me to wear in Zootopia 2. Who knows, we might not even be cops in Z2 since there are those among the online crowd who will have a tizzy fit if we are and try to bully the studio."

"A tizzy fit?"

"They're too, Woke...boycott Disney! They aren't Woke enough...boycott Disney! Whine, complain, whine, and complain," she threw her paws up in disgust while she complained.

"Our movie could be considered somewhat Woke," the fox reminded her.

"You know what also ticks me off?"

"Do enlighten me, oh wise..." he began to say but the glare she gave him silenced him.

"Yesterday during one of our meet and greets, the parents of a fussy toddler wanted her picture taken with me and she bawled her head off."

"Happens all the time."

"Then you came over and when she saw you, she began to coo and happily giggle."

"What can I say, I'm a chick magnet."

"Then after that, I had a ten-year-old boy almost puke on my feet."

"Yeah, they shouldn't have stuffed him full of ice cream before he went on the Avatar Flight of Passage ride."

"Then later we were getting our picture taken with that grandfather and his grandchildren, and the old man copped a feel of my tail!"

The fox didn't say anything but pulled the sheet up to hide his grin because it wasn't the grandfather who was being pawsy.

"Just get up, lazy!" the rabbit snapped while she pulled on her shirt.

"Judy…"

"If you don't get out of bed and get dressed we will be late for work, so hop to it!"

"Judy, can you..."

"Really, Slick, if you don't hurry you'll make us late. We can't leave our fans waiting, after all, Disney has already made our fans wait years and years for a sequel."

"Judy, can you please just..."

"I know, they did the Zootopia Plus shorts but it still isn't the same thing."

"Judy, can you please just stop ranting..."

"Also the Zootopia land in Shanghai and the plans to build something in the Animal Kingdom, it's just that everything takes too long!"

"Judy, can you please just stop ranting and listen to..."

"Come on, Nick, get out of bed!"

"JUDY!" the fox yelled after he climbed out of the bed and gripped her shoulders.

"WHAT!" she yelled back while struggling to free herself from his paws.

"It's our day off," he softly whispered to her before he engulfed her in a hug.

"Oh?" she sheepishly replied before she hugged him back.

He gently scooped her up into his arms and carried her back to their bed.

After that, she had a much better day.
