AN: Hope you liked chapter one. I had used some of Simply Written idea and I through in something I saw online as well.

Summary: Writing on the mirror and ghostly sounds were just the beginning of the fun.

Title: Halloween Payback

The Night Before

Banging From Below

Justin had been falling asleep after the fifth cartoon, so Brian had said they were going to bed instead of watching another one. Justin hadn't complained about it and he'd stripped down crawling in the bed. Brian had known he'd been too exhausted to do anything, so he'd pulled the covers over both of them when he'd gotten in the bed. He was almost asleep himself when the sound of banging came from below them. It caused the bed shake slightly and he smiled into the pillow. Emmett had told him to put something under the bed, but of course that wasn't possible since the bed was on the floor. If he had gotten a different bed, which he wouldn't dare do, Justin would know something was up.

It was on the third bang that he heard Justin let out a groan. The fifth one was when his sleeping companion sat up. He grinned wider into the pillow trying to seem like he was asleep. He heard Justin asking what the fuck. After a moment the banging stopped. It seemed like it was done and then it started again, in a different area. When it started the third time he felt Justin's hand against his back.

"You can't tell me you don't hear this, Brian." Justin said right as the banging stopped.

"Hear what?" Brian asked rolling over on his side. "I was asleep so didn't hear anything. What was it this time?" He asked.

"Banging, like from the place below us. Did you get Marcus to bang on his ceiling or something? You trying to pull a prank on me like this since you couldn't get me before?" Justin asked.

"I doubt that Marcus is going to bang on his ceiling this late at night, Justin. Maybe you should get some sleep." Brian suggested rolling back over.

"NO, I'm not losing my mind." Justin groaned as the banging started again. "That's fucking it. I'm going down there, get dressed, you're coming with me." He said getting his clothes.

"Are you nuts, it's late. I'm going…" Brian started but Justin yanked the covers off the bed. "Justin, give the covers back, now." He bit out, but Justin bunched them up moving away.

"Nope, you are coming with me to see what he's doing down there." Justin said. "He could easily snap me in half if I go. He likes you so you will come with me to check it out then, we can go to sleep. Once I see that he's playing Halloween pranks." He declared with a huff.

Brian groaned because this was not part of the plan for Justin to actually want to investigate. Though he had to laugh out loud at the idea of Marcus breaking Justin. The man was large and looked like he could hurt someone. However, the man was a sweetheart, he wanted to gag at that word, but it's what Emmett called him. They had hooked up before, which was how he'd found out about Marcus. He was friendly and he wasn't a bad person.

"Do not laugh at me, Brian. You've seen him and it's after twelve." Justin said. "Let's just go down there really quick then we can get some sleep, I hope."

"You fucking owe me." Brian said grabbing his jeans and a shirt.

"I'll give you a blow job in the morning." Justin replied.

"A blow job isn't going to cover this." Brian said as they left the loft. He was just glad that Marcus wasn't an asshole like some people could be. When he'd told him why he needed the favor he'd laughed at the fact Justin had pulled all the pranks. He'd said you must be careful around the innocent ones.

"Fine, you can fuck me anywhere and anyway you like." Justin said as he reached Marcus' apartment. He went to knock then stopped. "You knock." He said moving so he was behind Brian.

"Oh you march down here big and brave then get behind me. Let me be the sacrifice." Brian said rolling his eyes.

"I told you, he can break me in half, but he likes you." Justin said.

Brian knocked on the door. He'd warned Marcus that Justin might need proof that nothing was happening. However, he hadn't thought they'd be here at this time of night. It took the other man a few minutes to get there then the door was opening. He looked like he'd been woken up. He looked from Brian then to Justin. He was glad that the man had agreed to play along. All he'd had to do was agree to get Emmett to go out with him again. It hadn't been hard since Emmett had liked him too. Plus, he wanted to get Justin back so he'd agreed.

"Is something wrong, Brian, Justin?" Marcus asked. "This isn't some middle of the night booty call is it?" He grinned. "I'm a sticked top and you're both tops, well Justin let's you have that fine ass, but no one else can. So, why you two here?" he asked.

"Yeah, Justin, why did you drag me down here to knock on his door?" Brian asked. "He's right on the fact neither one of us will bottom for him."

"I heard banging okay. I'm not talking about bed banging against the wall sex, banging either." Justin swallowed glaring at Brian. At least he hadn't moved from in front of him. "I thought something was wrong or you were playing a prank." He said.

Marcus started laughing. "Sorry, no one here with me tonight. Though, maybe Fred and Charlotte are acting up. Tonight's is their night. You should stay away from the loft up there then. They might be starting early. There is also that house the person they first suspected killed them lives in. His whole family was murdered the same night, it's why they thought he'd done them in and the two upstairs." He said in a lower voice getting serious. "Surprised you're even up there now. If I were you I'd sleep while you can then stay elsewhere tonight." He said before saying goodnight to them.

Once Brian was back in the loft with Justin he locked up going towards the bedroom. "I told you he wasn't doing it. In the morning I'll collect on the sex. Now I'm going to sleep." He said getting the cover where Justin had tossed it.

"I'm not sleeping in there, what if the banging starts again?" Justin asked. "Can we sleep on the couch? Or put the mattress out here?" He bit on his bottom lip.

Brian figured that it was slightly getting to Justin. He did look a little bit nervous. He walked over to the closet pulling out something before going over to the floor behind the kitchen table. He'd gotten an air mattress once, but he had no fucking clue why or why it was still here. He'd found it when he'd searched the closet the day Molly had jumped out of it, when he'd gotten back upstairs with Emmett. He'd thought to donate the thing or toss it, but he hadn't. He pulled it out of the bag and pulled the string which had it inflating.

"I'm not sleeping on the couch or the floor. There is no way I'm moving the mattress out here either." Brian said. It had been hell when the delivery people put it in there. "We can sleep on this tonight." He figured he'd gotten Justin good enough so he'd let him sleep because that night there would be more pranks to be pulled and the house of haunts they had all rigged up.

"I swear I'm not a fucking baby, I can handle stuff." Justin said, but he got on the mattress. "Can you leave the lights on?"

Yeah, Brian was going to think he was nuts. He thought he was losing his own mind too. He could pull pranks and he rarely got spooked or scared. Maybe his conscious was getting to him about the pranks he'd pulled. Brian had taken the fall for them and it was weird that no one had said anything about them around him. All month he'd been waiting for retaliation.

Brian grabbed their pillows and turned the lamp on near the couch. He also switched the lights over the sink on. Then he went over to the mattress laying down beside Justin. It was definitely best to wait a few hours before he tried anything else. He laid as close to Justin as he could and put his arm around him letting him lay on his chest.

"I got you, Fred and Charlotte won't fuck with you again tonight. I might not have heard or seen anything, but I believe you, you saw it." Brian said kissing the top of Justin's head. "Go to sleep, I got your back."

"Thanks." Justin said with a sigh closing his eyes.

Brian was his safety net, his anchor. If he felt scared, he found him and it wasn't so bad. He put his arm around him tightening his hold trusting what Brian said. He seriously needed to talk to him about getting this place rid of the ghosts if they were real. He wondered though if it wasn't Brian doing it, he did promise no one was going to get him now. It wasn't long before he was fast asleep.
