Sunrise on Peridea. Sabine Wren awoke in the Noti pod that had once been occupied by Ezra Bridger. Despite being gone for a month, the bed still smelled like him.

Needless to say, it was the best sleep Sabine had gotten in years. After a decade of waiting, longing, and worrying, Sabine was at last at some semblance of peace. Ezra was home, safe, and she knew where he was. But of course, she wasn't with him.

Making the choice to stay behind and save Ahsoka had cost the young woman the chance to immediately be with Ezra again, and part of her still regretted it.

I could have gone with him... we could have gone home together... I could have told him... I could have told him everything, she had said in her mind over and over. Despite her desire to be with Ezra again, the Mandalorian Jedi-in-training had justified her choice to herself. Ahsoka had been saved, thus saving Sabine from adding anymore regrets to what seemed to be an ever-growing pile. During her training, she had come to accept that everything happened for a reason. Ahsoka shared with her a saying that her Master had once shared with her: "Nothing happens by accident."

Ezra was home, and they had a new mission. Baylan Skoll was planning something, and they had to stop it. However, Sabine's desire to get home and be with Ezra had not diminished in the slightest.

As she sat up and stretched, Sabine was suddenly overcome with a strange feeling. It was... familiar... comforting, and yet... unknown. Looking around the small room for the source of the sensation, she gasped when she saw...

"E-Ezra?"

He seemed to be hunched over a desk as if reading something, but Sabine couldn't see anything else. She was about to stand up and try to walk over to him when there was a loud banging sound. Sabine came to her senses and realized she was still in her pod, walking over to the door. She opened it and Ahsoka was standing before her.

"Are you alright?", the Togruta Jedi asked her apprentice. Sabine looked back inside the pod and then faced her Master. "I... I guess... I just saw something... something strange."

Ahsoka rasied her eyebrow quizzically. "What did you see?"

"I saw Ezra."
