These characters don't belong to me, they belong to Martin Walls and his video called The Mysterious House. The only characters that I own are characters that aren't in The Mysterious House or the unnamed character's headcanon names.

Porter and Rex were doing well as film makers. They have been getting deals with a lot of local studios to make things. One was a documentary on Brighton, one was a video for a class project, and now they were filming for an educational video on various vehicles and their functions.

However, not everything was going good for them. The two started to get into arguments more frequently, especially on this project. There was a lot of disagreements on how things should have been and where they should be filming. It became a constant problem, but nevertheless, they decided to do it anyway.

One day, the two were doing some filming and commentary on some trucks doing construction work on one of the roads. "We are here on the scene of construction going on in the neighborhood," explained Porter, "Some of you might wonder what each of these trucks functions are. Well, to start off, we have the dump tru-"

Rex then moved a little bit to adjust himself standing. Porter didn't like this, as he thought it caused the camera to move a little too much. "If you need to re-ajust yourself, can you do it without moving the camera as much?" asked Porter. "I didn't move by much at all," said Rex, "And I think re-ajusting myself is necessary, so I don't feel uncomfortable or fall over."

This sparked an argument between Porter and Rex. It got loud enough to the point where the guy in charge of construction had to tell both kids to set aside what was going on or leave the area. In the end, the two did what they could and left as soon as they were done.

Later on, they went to film outside an airport. There were a ton of different planes taking off and landing. Mostly commercial airliners, but a few other types.

Lots of footage of the planes were taken before Porter's commentary started. It looked like things would turn out promising despite earlier incidents. However, that was short lived.

"At the airport, you can find all different types of aircraft and what they do," said Porter, "You can find commercial airliners, helicopters, cessnas, and even ultralights! Here at this particular airport, it's mostly just commercial airliners. But as we've seen, there are more than just airliners here. But what are their jobs? Well, some carry passengers, some carry freight, and some are just for fun. Most importantly, they-"

Just then, a jet flew over them. "Oh come on!" said Rex, "That's like the 3rd time this has happened! How about we move somewhere that won't be deafening to the audience and us? Plus, they probably wouldn't be able to hear you over the sound of something that snores louder than my mother." "If we moved, the audience probably wouldn't have a good view of these big metal birds!" Porter said, "You know we are limited on where we can and can't film around here!"

Another argument between Porter and Rex started. Many people driving to either leave or get into the airport saw this happening. It was just painfully awkward to see. The two certainly made fools of themselves with how loud they had gotten towards each other, which got the attention of quite literally everyone closeby. Airport security came within 5 minutes and asked for the hippo and fox to leave.

The two were in the center of Brighton and feeling a bit tired. It was clear that they weren't gonna be doing anymore filming, or so they thought. Rex wanted to film some shots of some transit buses going by. Porter refused the idea for any more filming or commentary on the project for the day.

"Oh my gosh!" said Rex, "What is with you today?" "What is with me?" replied Porter, "What is with you?! Your making a ton of errors throughout this project! You know we only have a week to work on this! Be lucky we have the week off of school to do this, because if we didn't, we would be under more pressure." "Well to be fair, you have been far too demanding!" Rex argued, "I mean, seriously? Thinking I moved the camera too much, on top of staying in an area that is deafening? Oh please, it's clear that you are the one causing problems!"

Another loud argument started. This time, it was the last straw. "That's it!" yelled Rex, "You can get a new cameraman, because I am sick and tired of this! Ever since we both started working on projects for studios, there have been nothing but problems! But my gosh, this is certainly the worst of problems I've experienced. So, do you know what? I'm out."

Rex gave his camera to Porter and left. "Well, who am I gonna hire as a cameraman?" asked Porter. "I don't know, that's your problem, not mine!" replied Rex. Porter was of course not happy about this at all.

Porter went to the studio who he worked for and gave the boss whatever footage he could get. "Uhh, where's Rex?" asked the boss. "I hate to break it to you Mr. McCartney, but he quit," replied Porter. "Why is that Porter?" "Well, remember those disagreements we had before and during production of this project and projects before? He couldn't take it anymore, so he left." "Oh man, we're gonna have to find a new cameraman and fast. We have a deadline and if we can't get it finished by then, there is big chance it may have to be pushed back."

The next day, Porter put up signs that said: Cameraman needed. It also said the name of the studio and what number to call if anyone was interested. The studio was quick to get calls from others. It seemed like the plan worked out. However, this was far from the case.

One guy named Francis was assigned to help with the camerawork while he and Porter did filming and commentary on some construction vehicles on a construction site. However, he left out of the blue halfway through filming, which left Porter to do the camerawork and no commentary. Francis never came back to the studio for reasons unknown.

A day later, a skunk about Porter's age named Elliott was assigned to help. Filming and commentary was made on some hot air balloons for the Brighton Hot Air Balloon Festival. He actually did a solid job and no problems occurred. But he unfortunately gave the bad news that he was only working for one day. So, he didn't return after that.

Finally, the next day had quite possibly the most pushy cameraman Porter had ever worked with. It was an alligator who was slightly older than Porter named Michael. The two went to do filming and commentary on transit buses in various locations in Brighton. It was a messy experience. Porter and Michael argued even more than how Porter and Rex would have argued. When filming was done and time to bring in the footage, Michael essentially told the boss (Mr

McCartney) that he wanted no business in working with them anymore and left in a huff.

At this point, Mr. McCartney was in panic mode. Not only were they getting close to deadlines, but the studio made a deal with the Brighton Fire Department that on the final few days of filming, whoever was working on the project would film and commentate on whatever activities were going on. Porter couldn't do both by himself, and it wasn't recommended he go alone either.

A day before the filming was supposed to happen, Mr. McCartney talked with Porter. "As you know kid, filming with the Brighton Fire Department is just a day away," he explained, "We've went through all possibilities and they all failed in their own special ways. Is there a chance you could bring back Rex? If not, I understand." "I'll do my best," Porter replied, "At this point, he's better than anyone else to work with."

Porter went to go look for Rex as he was the best option he had for a cameraman now. It didn't matter who was at fault days earlier, all that mattered was getting Rex to come back.
