The bustling city of New York teamed with life. Its skyline is awe-inspiring, with skyscrapers and towers rising from every corner. Cruise ships sail through the waters, passing by the Statue of Liberty. Along the sidewalks, one can find a variety of establishments, such as fast-food restaurants, malls, museums, restaurants, cafés, and bookstores.

The streets are filled with people of all genders, and the air is filled with the laughter of children playing in the park. Adults in business attire navigate their way through the crowds. The sounds of cars and trucks can be heard as they travel in different directions.

However, with all of New York's beauty, there was a problem that had troubled the hearts of every inhabitant in the city.

The peaceful tranquility of New York has been unfortunately plagued by crime. Concerned parents are filled with fear and paranoia, as they worry about the safety of their loved ones. On some otherwise peaceful days, the tranquility is shattered by the alarming sirens of law enforcement officials pursuing robbers in black trucks. Daily crimes range from robberies and burglaries to car thefts. This unfortunate reality is a source of great concern for all who call New York home.

A mile away from the ongoing conflict, beyond the bustling city that divides crime and New York, lay a grand edifice known as the Midtown High School. The lengthy corridors are adorned with numerous lockers, while the classrooms are equipped with several desks where students attend their daily lessons. The janitors diligently sweep the hallway floors, ensuring that no anomalies such as crumbs or dust are left behind.

The ringing of the school bell filled the air, indicating that it was time for all students to vacate the premises. Amidst the throngs of students who exited the aforementioned building, a young adolescent by the name of Peter Parker made his way towards the bus.

He was a young man of fifteen years. He possessed a round, narrowed jaw and chocolate-colored eyes. Peter donned a pair of spectacles, and his dark brown hair was neatly combed over. He was attired in a black sleeveless shirt with a white long-sleeved shirt underneath, a red and black striped tie, trousers that reached his navel, and black loafers.

Peter Parker was born in Queens. Unfortunately, he was orphaned at a young age when his parents passed away in a plane crash due to engine failure. Following this tragedy, he resided with his Uncle Benjamin Parker and Aunt May. At the tender age of seven, he was subjected to bullying at school, which persisted throughout his academic years. However, he was fortunate to have a loyal friend in Harry, who always stood up for him.

Peter entered the bus, taking his respective seat at the vehicle's rear. The bus rumbled to life and drove forward.

Peter was seated with his arms crossed, appearing downcast. He and his fellow students had been scheduled to embark on an excursion to the University of Columbia. However, they were recently informed that the university had declared bankruptcy due to some unfortunate financial decisions made by the administration. As a result, the school excursion, which had been reserved for some time, was canceled.

Peter had always harbored a desire to visit the University of Columbia, as it was the dream of every aspiring scientist due to their research. He expressed his disappointment to Harry while they were on their way out of the building, towards the bus. It was such a disappointment, and Peter began to feel angry at Harry when he suddenly laughed at his rant.

"Yeah, yeah, laugh it up." Peter muttered bitterly.

Harry waved him off. "Oh calm down, Pete."

"Then you mind telling me why you were laughing?" Peter inquired, glaring at his best friend. Harry simply shrugged.

"Because, everything was just funny, my dad had bought the research work of the university." Harry replied.

"Wait… really?" Peter was shocked to hear the news.

"Yup, which will also come as another surprise to you that we're heading over to the Oscorp facility." Harry said, his lips forming a warm, yet triumphant grin.

Peter was dumbfounded.

"Shut up." Peter shook his head in utter disbelief. "The Oscorp facility? Really?"

"That's the one." Harry responded.

The bus arrived at their destination in a timely manner. The students disembarked one by one, with Peter and Harry being the last to alight. As Peter looked up, he was struck with awe at the sight before him.

The towering black edifice of Oscorp Industries loomed above them, with the company's name emblazoned in large letters beneath the distinctive left peak of the roof. The primary structural support of the Oscorp tower comprises a single, massive winding layer of murky green metal. This layer envelops the sides and back of the building, spiraling up to a point that protrudes from the top left corner on the right. The front section of the building, which is not covered with metal, consists of numerous windows arranged in a hexagonal pattern, reminiscent of a honeycomb.

Peter pulled his gaze off of the building's towering height, his eyes landed on a blond hair girl not too far from him.

Her electric blue eyes were trained on the building. She seemed to be gazing at the building in awe. Mascara rimmed her eyes, making her appear more mature yet still childish. She wore a black square neck shirt with dark red jeans, and black leather boots. Golden bracelets wrapped around both wrists. Her blonde hair was pulled back in a simple ponytail with two purple butterfly clips keeping her hair in place.

The girl was beautiful. It dawned on Peter when he realized he's been staring at her for longer than usual. Peter blushed slightly and quickly averted his gaze. Harry noticed this too, noticing Peter's reddening face immediately and grinned teasingly at him.

"She's gorgeous, isn't she?" Harry commented casually, not taking his eyes off her.

Peter glanced at him nervously then returned to observing the girl.

"Yeah… Yeah, she is." Peter agreed softly. "Who is she?"

"Gwen Stacy." Harry answered simply. "She goes to our class. You should try approaching her."

Peter whirled around again, now facing Harry completely. "What? No way!" Peter denied vehemently, glancing up at the sky whilst scratching his cheek gently. Even the joy of visiting the Oscorp facility was not enough to fill him in with confidence. "I'll do it another time."

"You say next time; but that time will never reach until the end of our stay in school, if care is not taken."

Peter and Harry glanced over their shoulders. Trailing behind them was a tall handsome young man. He had a grizzled square jaw and dark brown eyes. His hair was styled in a faux cut hued in banana blond. He was dressed in a black long sleeve jacket, a gray t-shirt underneath, gray jeans, and white sneakers.

The tall young man stepped up to Peter and extended his hand.

"Eddie Brock jr." Eddie introduced himself.

Peter took his hand and shook it.

"Peter Parker." Peter returned the gesture.

Eddie chuckled. "Aren't you the guy who blew himself up at the science lab?"

"He's the talk of the school." Harry added teasingly.

Peter glared at the two. "Hey, that was an accident!"

Harry and Eddie chuckled at Peter's comment as the trio followed the group of students up the escalators and arrived at a spacious room. A diligent female employee was situated behind the counter, attentively working on her computer. The area was bustling with a multitude of individuals, both male and female, each with a clear sense of direction, heading towards their respective destinations.

The elevators situated on either side were in use, with one ascending to the right and the other descending to the left, each containing one or a few individuals. It was then that the group was approached by a male scientist. He appeared to be in his late twenties, of Asian-American descent, and was wearing a white lab coat. He greeted everyone with a warm smile, exuding a sense of professionalism and friendliness.

"Hello everyone, my name is Dr. Farley Stillwell," Farley happily greeted. "I hope you're all having a wonderful day. I'm here to welcome all of you to the home base of Oscorp Industries. If you all just follow me I'll be happy to show you what we do here."

Dr. Stillwell turned his back and led the way. Everyone trailed after the scientist towards the first science exhibit. The room was bathed in cyan light. Said room was flanked by advanced technology displayed on tables, and unfinished projects that were still a work in progress.

Peter saw four technicians in lab coats who were peering into double-barreled stereo microscopes or looking at images on high-resolution video screens. The next room was filled with stones, which were meticulously arranged in glass shelves, cardboard boxes, and large pull-out trays. Each stone was tagged and numbered in black ink, indicating the level of precision and attention to detail that was required in the line of work.

"Since 1973, Oscorp Industries, inc. has been dedicated to providing innovative materials for manufacturing, construction, automotive, processing chemical and numerous other global industries. We are a leading manufacturer," Dr. Stillwell expounded. "Oscorp operates about one-hundred and ten major manufacturing, seven research and development facilities worldwide. We manufacture and produce chemically engineered products with special focus on replacements EHS hazardous acids and solvents."

Peter was diligently jotting down notes in his notepad, his pen moving swiftly across the paper after recording Dr. Stillwell's words. The subject matter was truly fascinating, and he couldn't wait to share his newfound knowledge with Uncle Ben once he headed back home.

They arrived at the adjacent door where Dr. Stillwell utilized his security card to unlock it. Upon entering the new room, Peter observed yet another room where technicians were diligently working at microscopes. Towards the rear, there was a section that was entirely illuminated by blue ultraviolet light.

Liz Allan was experiencing a sense of ennui, yet she would surreptitiously observe Eddie Brock whenever he averted his gaze. Flash Thompson yawned out of boredom, while Eddie Brock was seen checking his timepiece. Harry emitted a sigh and shook his head, and even Kenny Mcfarlane appeared to be losing interest. Gwen gazed around the laboratory in wonderment, while Peter was attentively listening to Dr. Stillwell as they strolled.

Upon entering the thirtieth exhibit room, it was noted that the space was rather diminutive. The contents of the room did not seem to captivate the attention of the students present, as it consisted solely of stereo microscopes resting atop counters. Additionally, there were several monitors in the room, all of which were operating at a rapid pace, making it challenging to discern their contents.

What got the student's attention was the two big machines in the room.

Two twenty-foot-tall machines were situated in the room, facing each other with cannons pointed in opposite directions. Thick wires connected the two machines, winding around them like a snake coiling around its prey.

"And this is the Neogenic Recombinator," Dr. Stillwell cordially said, pointing towards the two machines. "Me and my esteemed colleague, Dr. Connors had developed these machines with the intention of enhancing the human condition through genetic manipulation. Although Dr. Connors had since departed from the institution, we still maintain a cordial relationship. This Neogenic Recombinator has the potential to eradicate birth defects, among other applications."

Dr. Stillwell approached the machines and switched them on. A low humming sound emitted from the machines before bright yellow beams of light shot out from the cannon's barrels. The beams illuminated the room in a yellow hue, casting shadows across the walls. Everyone watched in awe and amazement.

Dr. Stillwell smiled at his creation. "And now for a demonstration of how we can control radioactive rays here in the laboratory."

As all individuals observe the collision of the yellow beams, none of them take notice of a strand of web descending from a vent and towards the beams. This web was connected to the abdomen of a diminutive black arachnid as it quietly descended towards the initial layer of the rays. Not a single student was able to discern the presence of the spider.

The spider disengaged itself from its web and inadvertently became ensnared in the beams. Its eight legs convulsed as it sensed a sudden influx of radioactivity permeating its entire being. The beams dissipated as abruptly as they had materialized, causing the arachnid to plummet to the laboratory floor.

The small arachnid had landed on its back, its legs still twitching. Its exoskeleton was no longer black, but had taken on a hue of an eggplant purple. Its body was illuminated rapidly, similar to that of a beating heart.

The spider rolled back onto its feet and looked around. Its eight orbs jumped across the room, from one individual to another until Its eyes landed at the boy with spectacles. It peered around the boy and saw a long black hair girl standing six feet away from him.

The radioactive spider hissed and crawled forward.

The individual, who was partially armored, maintained his balance on the glider that was suspended in the air. The steel contraption was quite sizable, with wings resembling those of a bat that gracefully curved downwards. The head of the glider was prominently positioned between the wings, and the stirrups were strategically located at the center of each wing. It was quite an impressive sight to behold.

"This is our glider," Dr. Stillwell introduced. "A remarkable aircraft with exceptional maneuverability and a maximum speed of 90 miles per hour. It could support up to 400 lbs, including Norman's weight, and even more for brief periods. However, at full capacity and top speed, the fuel supply would be depleted in approximately one hour. The primary microprocessor-assisted manual controls were located behind the glider's head, and subsequent modifications included voice-activated radio-linked controls that were integrated into the mask our fellow friend is wearing."

Peter cast a glance upwards at the gentleman who was steering the glider, filled with a sense of wonder and admiration. He promptly returned his gaze to his notepad, turned to a fresh page, and proceeded to take note of the novel information that had been imparted by Dr. Stillwell. After closing his notepad, he lifted his head once more and resumed his attentive listening to Dr. Stillwell's discourse.

Dr. Stillwell inquired, "I, along with several of my colleagues, aspire to establish a world devoid of weaknesses. Would anyone care to venture a guess as to how we might achieve this?" His gaze shifted from one student to the next.

One student raised a hand.

Dr. Stillwell turned his head at them. "Yes?"

"Stem cells?" She guessed.

"Promising, but the solution I'm thinking of is more, radical." Dr. Stillwell said. He shifted his gaze again to the other students with expectations. "No one else."

"Cross-species genetics."

All heads swiveled towards the direction of the voice. To his left, Peter caught sight of an Asian-American young lady standing six feet away from him. She was garbed in a long, sleeveless, immaculate white dress, black loafers, and a wristband with a rainbow of colors. Her black hair cascaded down to the middle of her back, her skin was smooth and tan, and her irises were brown.

"Person gets Parkinson's when the brain cells that produce dopamine start to disappear. But a zebra fish has the ability to regenerate cells on command. If you can somehow give this ability to the woman you're talking about; she's curing herself."

One student next to the girl chuckled. "Yeah, you just have to look past the gills on her neck."

Everyone except the girl, Harry, Eddie, Gwen, and Peter laughed in unison. The laughter died down when Dr. Stillwell raised his hand. Stillwell turned his gaze back to the aforementioned girl.

"Not gonna lie, I'm impressed," Dr. Stillwell stated. "And who might you be?"

"Cindy," she introduced herself. "Cindy Moon."

Dr. Stillwell smiled. "I see."

A woman dressed in a pristine lab coat, gracefully entered the room. She was of Indian descent, and her lab coat was a perfect fit for her. With measured steps she approached Dr. Stillwell and stood by his side, exuding an air of professionalism and competence. Dr. Stillwell clasped his hands.

"Well everyone, I regret to inform you that I must depart from your company and return to my work," Dr. Stillwell said, gesturing to the woman to his side. "However, I am pleased to introduce Dr. Diya, who will be taking over the remainder of the tour. I wish you all a pleasant day."

Dr. Stillwell turned away from the group and exited the room.

After Dr. Diya had introduced herself to the group of students, she led them out of the room to another section. Peter trailed behind the group while taking notes in his notepad. His lips formed a smile as he enjoyed the tour more than any other student in the circle.

As they advanced deeper through the exhibits, they made more discoveries along the way. Unfinished prototypes were hung on display. Giant lizards, bigger than Komodo dragons, crawled around their enclosures. They even stumbled upon a round-shaped boulder being crushed in the mechanical hands of a powerful behemoth.

Suddenly, Peter hissed when he felt a surge of pain throughout his body. He instinctively raised his right hand to inspect the source of the discomfort, only to discover a glowing purple spider. its sharp fangs sunk into the center of his hand. A cold sensation coursed through his veins, as he gazed into the eight lifeless eyes of the arachnid.

The arachnid withdrew its fangs and gracefully jumped off Peter's hand. Peter, in turn, closed his eyes and gently massaged his hand, feeling a wave of discomfort from the intense heat emanating from his hand. The sensation was akin to that of a furnace, and it left him feeling quite repulsed.

The spider gracefully maneuvered around the towering legs of the students, swiftly moving towards its next target. Upon reaching the loafer's tip, it slowed down and began to crawl up the tender skin. The arachnid paused at the foot's middle, flexing its fangs in anticipation, before finally sinking them deep into the flesh.

Cindy experienced a sharp sensation in her foot, which caused her to wince and instinctively fall on one side. She rubbed the affected area with her thumbs. Upon examining her foot, she felt a frigid shiver run down her spine. She discovered a spider crawling off of her foot and crawling away to a nearby vent.

Peter's body collapsed and it seemed to be happening slowly. He had plenty of time to feel the world beginning to roll around him as he saw the floor rush up to strike him in the face. In his last fleeting moments of consciousness Peter saw Cindy collapsing on her side, followed by her eyes closing. Harry and Eddie's calls grew distant.

Darkness enveloped his world and the distant calls gave way to silence.

A/N: Welcome new readers, to possibly a new written series revolving our two main protagonists: Spider-Man & Silk. I first discovered Cindy Moon/Silk through a video on YouTube where Cindy isolated herself in a bunker for God knows how long, until Peter releases her. Imagine how shock I was when I learned that she was bitten by the exact same spider that bit Peter. Mind blown, am I right? I honestly see both Peter and Cindy as a potential perfect couple and couldn't help but wonder how different it would have been had they gave it a shot and got together. But in order for this perfect spider couple to really flourish, step by step of development must come first. Otherwise it'll be just another rush relationship, like I have notice in some other fanfics on here.

This will be my take on an alternate universe if Peter and Cindy slowly in time became the perfect spider-couple as well as the perfect duo in fighting crime and taking down villains. I'll be writing their interactions with all the characters, slow character development, and more.

And with that out of the way, let's get to business.

The first faze has been completed; now it's time to begin faze two. Some of you might be a bit surprised to see Eddie Brock here of all places. Well, while I was listening to a comic dub of the venom arc in Ultimate Spider-Man, I learned that Peter and Eddie used to be best-friends when they were kids. Way before Eddie turned into a jerk years later. So I thought it be nice to have Eddie Brock be a new student and potentially become another best friend Peter can befriend in the near future.

While I am experimenting on each of these characters, including Peter and Cindy, I'm also trying to decide which will be the first villain the duo will face once they become Spider-Man and Silk. I also wanna add that these ideas I have for each chapter like this one takes time not only for me to write but also for me to think on where I want this story to go. So just know that I'm going to do my best to be as consistent with this story as possible.

And if no new chapter pops up in a while, that is because I may not be feeling writing today or the other day. I want to do my best to keep quality in my writing, and when i'm force writing just to appease people, it comes out all-around bad and crummy. I don't want to subject myself or anyone to bad writing, so i won't! With all of that said, have a nice day everyone.
