So, I got the inspiration for this story from reading a few of the stories for the anime. I don't know if it will be any good, but I thought I could put my ideas into reality. Don't like it, leave a review I guess, or don't read it. First time making a SI so we will see how it goes, not expecting much to be honest.

If you have read my other story, don't worry, just wanted to try out a different story for a second. My other story is still my primary focus!

Quick shout out to these stories and authors for the idea. I will admit some of the ideas are somewhat similar to them, but I will be making it my own. If these authors have a problem then please message me, hopefully, we can work something out! Thanks!

Is It Wrong to Crawl My Way Back Home, One Dungeon Floor at A Time? By- Anco (I highly recommend this fanfiction. Really good grammar, writing, and a story that makes me look forward to the next update).

Also, if you have some fun ideas for the story, please leave a review or message, I will usually respond to either!

Also, I do not own DanMachi in any way.

On to the Story!

^Do I Need this? Pretty obvious right?^

So, while my origins before the start of my adventure would be considered quite dull, especially in comparison to where I would later end up at. The life I was born with shaped me into the person I would later become in my next life, thus earning its somewhat importance. Now, before we get into this 'grand' adventure, we need to start at the beginning, no matter how boring it is, after all, that's how all great stories start, from monotonous beginnings to magnificent ends, with just a little bit of adventure in the middle…

The day started like any other, with me laying down in my bed listening to some music after a hard day's work, or rather, a somewhat normal day at work with just a little bit of bullshit to make it one of those days.

As the time starts to float by with each song that plays, I slowly start to nod off as the songs start ed leaning towards more mellow and tranquil music, as if the universe is practically screaming at me to fall asleep. As the utter darkness of sleep finally starts getting closer and closer, the final thoughts in my mind are, 'This isn't my playlist' and 'holy fuck I didn't set my alarm for work tomorrow!'

It barely feels like I even slept a minute before I feel a small nudge on the side of my head as my mind starts to declutter itself as I slowly start to awaken. The odd thing about it, other than the constant nudging at the side of my head, is that I don't feel the usual blanket or familiar feel of my mattress underneath me. I also don't hear the music that I had fallen asleep to, which was another small warning bell in my awakening mind.

At the sudden realization of things not adding up, my eyes immediately open up frantically looking for some sort of semblance to the unknown feelings. The first thing that I notice is the utter whiteness and emptiness of everything around me. So surprised by my surroundings, I continue to lay still as my eyes continued to desperately look around the room I suddenly found myself in. The room, or in better terms, void, seems to go on forever in all directions. So shocked and intrigued by the place I suddenly found myself in, I had failed to notice the still constant nudging at the left side of my head, still utterly transfixed with my surroundings.

I barely hear a small sigh escape from something to my left before the nudging finally stops. Before I can turn my head at the sudden noise, and the lack of nudging that had been a constant since I arrived in this 'place?', a sudden force is sent to the left side of my face, causing my head to sharply twist to the opposite direction. My body carries with the momentum as it rolls over to the side, leaving me laying on my belly with my head looking towards the other side of the bewildering force.

Before my brain could realize that, 'hey, that didn't hurt!' my mouth and body immediately took the initiative of the unexpected situation, "What the fuck was that! Did something just kick me! Why the fuck did you kick me!" As I yell this, I quickly pull myself up from the floor and look towards the offending location, and again, my brain short circuits at what I see. A silhouette of a person is standing right beside me, with one foot out as if it had just kicked a football, or better yet, a person's head.

The silhouette is completely white, but has a small, constantly moving blackness around its outline, almost like tv static that identifies itself from everything else around it. The silhouette seems to shift from one body type to another in the blink of an eye. One second it looks to be an outline of an average male, next second it looks like a small child, still with the foot outstretched towards me. It lacks any kind of distinguishing feature, just an empty profile, similar to the place it inhabits. Before I can say anything, the being casually lowers its foot back to the ground, and in an almost haunting way, multiple voices are heard as it begins to talk, as if every voice in the world are talking at the same time,

"Hey, you, you're finally awake. You were trying to cross the border? Walked right into that Imperial ambush!"

"Huh?" I almost didn't even know what to say. Here I was, in a white void devoid of anything except this talking mysterious entity, and the first words out of its 'mouth?' is a Skyrim quote! What the Fuck is going on!

"Did you just quote Sk-" before I could finish my sentence the entity spoke over me as if I hadn't said anything.

"Yup, what are you going to do about?" Although the entity didn't have any facial features, I felt like it was making a dumb face as it said that.

I took a step forward to try and say something, but right before I could say something the entity spoke up, with an almost excited tone in their voice.

"Oh, you are approaching me!?"

"Stop quoting shit!" I practically screamed.

The entity raised their hand to their head and started itching their non-existent ear with their finger, "again, what are you going to do about it?"

'Can this thing be any less annoying!'

I let an annoying huff before I sit down and look towards the entity. I looked around the place, before I answered, "I really don't care if you quoted Skyrim, JoJo, or anything else! I need answers man! Where the fuck am I?! Who are you!? What the fuck is even going on!?" I practically started shouting as everything seemed to sink in. 'I don't know anything that's going on! And the only thing that could tell me anything is quoting video games and anime!'

"Hey! Before you start freaking out, just take a breath, I was only joking around. Nothing amazing ever happens here, so I've got to have some fun don't I?" As the entity said this it walked toward me and squatted down so that their face was somewhat at the same eye level as mine.

"You are also no fun, the last person who was here was freaking out waaaayyy more than you, tried hitting me as well… funny guy if you ask me." Now that the entity was up close, the voice just seemed to come from the face, but not from anything specific. Honestly, it was a bit weird, but I was stuck in a void of nothing with this, thing, I can't complain too much.

"Look, I am silently freaking out right now, but there is nothing I can do about it, so, until I know what's going on, I will remain somewhat calm. Also, you still quoted from another anime, Fooly Cooly this time."

The entity's tone was pleased as it responded, "Nice, I tried to sneak one past you! For guessing right on each quote I'll answer a few of your questions!"

'Oh my God, my knowledge of anime and video games might just save me! There is a first for everything!' I almost let out a small cheer at the answer but remained calm on the outside. The entity seemed to enjoy the reactions that I made, probably because there wasn't anything here. I can't let it get distracted.

The entity stood back up and waved with hands around him as he said, "You are in the place between worlds! Home of the Gods!"

"…" I kind of just stood there as the entity continued to pose as if this place deserved such grandiose.

"I mean, for a place called Home of the Gods, it's kind of, you know… empty…"

At my words, the entity almost seemed to sag at the answer, "why does every single person say that."

Although I could hear the entity's words, I remained silent, not wanting to 'hurt?' its feelings anymore. 'I mean, couldn't they add something to this place, especially since every person before me has said something similar?... Wait! Others!? Holy shit am I dead?! Is this Heaven?!'

At those sudden questions, I once again began to have an internal panic attack at the thought, so much so that I wasn't fully able to contain it just internally as I began to pace back and forth.

'If this is Heaven, why is it so empty! Oh my God, is this actually Hell?! Am I stuck for eternity with a wise-cracking thing! It said others, but where are they!? Shouldn't there be tons of lawyers here if it is Hell!?'

Seconds turned into minutes as I continued my inner monologue, frustration, and terror slowly building as my questions turned more complicated and fanciful. So caught up in my head, I hadn't realized that the entity had stopped sulking and now stood a mere foot from my pacing.

'Maybe I am in Limbo, that would make the most sense since there is nothing here. But based on Christianity, shouldn't all the unbaptized babies be here too?! God, a place full of only babies sounds just like Hell if I am being honest. What if I am in-.'

Before I could get further, the entity finally interrupted my inner monologue with a large shout, giving a small jump scare at the volume and proximity.

"HEY LISTEN!"

Before I could even think of an actual reasonable response, my brain and lips moved on their own as I said, "Legend of Zelda."

"Again, you are crushing these quotes, but really, if you think any harder you're going to have a meltdown, just calm down and listen to me for a bit, then if you still have unanswered questions, just ask me. We both aren't going anywhere as you can clearly see. So just… Take a seat and I'll start talking. Now get down and shut up as I finally explain myself!"

As I sat down, I mumbled out, "Forrest Gump."

The entity ignored my answer but did give me a thumbs-up as it started to explain itself.

"Now, as I said earlier, we are in the Home of the Gods, a place where the Gods of the universe watch and intervene in the lives of mortals. And before you interrupt, yes I did say Gods, and yes I do know that this place is empty except for you and me. This is because we are in a separate room from everyone else, almost like a meeting room. This place can only hold one God, which is me, and one mortal, which is you."

'Oh my God, I have more questions now than I had before! This entity is a God!? Is he, like God, God?! If so, God is a weeb…' As I thought this, the entity turned to me very suddenly and raised a finger to my face.

"I can hear everything that is going on in that little head of yours, so try to keep it down alright? I still have a lot to explain. And also, I am not a weeb, I am a connoisseur of human media!"

"So you are a weeb for human culture?" I say with a slight snicker.

The entity almost looked guilty at my accusation, well, as guilty as someone can be with no facial features.

"Shut. Up. Or. I. Will. Smite. You." With each word, the entity poked my noise, not hard, but enough to get my attention.

Sensing the slight hostility in their voice, I let up on the weeb comment and once again sat attentively for the rest of the explanation.

"Now as I was saying, this place is a meeting room between a god and a mortal, where the mortal can go to a different world for the entertainment of all the other gods. Where we watch all your deed in hope of quelling our eternal boredom. So, where do you want to go?"

When the entity said that, a large bluish floating screen suddenly sprung up in front of me. Words could be seen on the screen, but my frustration at the half-assed explanation made it so I could barely pay attention to the screen.

"Hold your fucking horses. I'm not picking anything until I get at least some of my questions answered!" As I shouted this, I tried to wave away the screen in front of me, but each time my hand would simply phase through the screen, leaving it unmarked.

"Fine, fine, get rid of the fun why don't you? What do you want to know?" As the entity said this, the screen vanished, leaving me alone with the entity.

"First, what am I even supposed to call you!? I'm tired of just calling you Entity or It, so if we can start there I would greatly appreciate it!" I almost yell, still trying to wrap my head around everything.

"Eh, call me whatever you want to, usually everyone just calls me God or Jesus so I don't really care."

"Can I-"

Before I could even say anymore the entity cut me off, "NO you cannot call me the God of weebs, pick another name!"

Fuck, I thought if I could name him that I could somewhat lessen the seriousness that is going on. "Fine, I'll call you Steve."

"Steve? Really?" the entity said, with a mix of surprise and annoyance.

"It's a pretty name," I say with a small smirk at their response.

"Ha-Ha, an Over the Hedge quote… funny. Fine, I'm Steve, now get with the questions, I've got places to be, and things to do, I can't be here all day." Steve glances to their wrist as if checking the time on a non-existing watch.

"Well, that is too damn bad because I'm not doing shit until I understand everything that is going on!"

"God damnit, I had to pick you, of all people. Fine let's just answer all your dumb questions…" Steve said with a large sigh as I began to ask my questions.

Starting easy, I asked the first question I wanted to ask since I got there.

"So, why me? I don't think I am that special, or have done anything special to deserve, whatever is that you wanted me to do. So… Why me?"

"Eh, I just picked someone by random. I didn't even know who you were until I picked you. When you were picked, that was when I learned everything about you, and just as you said, you were definitely not someone special. Maybe just ordinary." As it said the end it let out a little chuckle at the backhanded comment.

Before I could retort Steve continued as if their comment didn't slightly hurt my self-esteem.

"But to be honest, almost every single person in the world is ordinary, especially to the likes of us Gods. So, don't feel too bad. Other gods specifically pick extraordinary people, but that's not what I do, so feel proud that even if you are ordinary, you were still picked. Now Next question!"

Feeling slightly better at Steve's comment, I continued. "What will happen to my life on Earth? Will I die or will someone else control my body!?"

"Nah, you just cease to be. You pretty much just disappear without a trace, never to be seen again. One of the people I picked before you were Amelia Earhart and if you are as smart as I think you are. Which I do. You know exactly how that turned out.

'Holy shit! So that's what happened to her! Hmm, I wonder which place she picked. I bet that the same thing has happened to all the people who have mysteriously disappeared!'

Also, to answer your follow-up question, no, you cannot go back if you decline or after you die in the next world. Once I picked you, your life became forfeit, so sorry, not sorry but that's just how it goes. Next question!" Steve said this without any sense of decency at the hurt that their answer had caused.

'I mean, there wasn't a lot going for me in my life that would make me really sad, but to not be able to say goodbye to my family and friends hurt. Especially since I would just disappear without a trace.'

I let out a few tears before I got myself back together, 'you can break down later, you need a clear head for what's about to come.'

I wiped away the tears that were still there with the back of my hand and took a couple of long breathes before I continued.

"First of all, you need a better way to phrase that. Second, go fuck yourself, and third, what am I supposed to do in this new world? Do I have to listen to you the whole time or do some grand quest to fix the world?

"Well, you seem to have taken it pretty well considering that we are back to the questions in less than a few minutes. Since I somewhat deserve the insult, I will let it slide. This time. Lastly, you can do anything you choose to do in your new world. You could do absolutely nothing in the new world and there isn't anything I or any other god can do to stop you. See, once you have been touched by the gods, we cannot intervene in your life anymore. It is a one-and-done situation, so you will never see or hear from me again after this."

With those words, I grew a bit happier about my situation. I never enjoyed being majorly controlled in my old life, so hearing that Steve and the rest of the gods couldn't dictate what I could or couldn't do gave me a sense of relief.

"But what's stopping me from doing absolutely nothing in the new world? Wouldn't that be boring for you guys to watch"?

Steve made a small shrug of their shoulders at my response as he said, "From what I understand from your life, you wouldn't do that, even to spit us. You crave adventure and excitement, so I have nothing to worry about in context to your choices. The only thing that could jeopardize our entertainment is if you pick a boring world. Again, I believe you will pick the more exciting world based on your personality. So, can we finally get to the choice? This is taking forever!"

At their last comment, Steve let out a large sigh.

"Aren't you like, eternal? What're a few more minutes here in the grand scheme of things? I need to understand everything before I can make a choice. Anyways, I only have a few more questions and I will choose, okay?" I said, with exasperation.

"Fiiiiinnnneeee, but hurry up. I want to get back to watching the other chosen. Some of them are getting to the good parts of their story and it's getting good.

I rolled my eyes at the entity's words, "How much am I allowed to dictate in my new world? I am I left to chance, or can I pick and choose what I can and cannot do."

Finally a good question. It depends on the world that you choose. There are a few things you can pick, and as long as they aren't groundbreaking or overpowered we allow it. You just have to make sure your choices fit in the specific world. Like no superpowers in a non-super power world you get me?"

"Yea, that makes sense, and since I don't any more questions, for the time being, we can choose a world."

Steve did a small jump of joy at my comment before the same bluish screen popped up in my vision again.

Before I got a good look at the list, I did have one last thing before I started reading the words on the screen.

"This doesn't mean I don't have any more questions! I will have more questions when I do decide on whatever world I pick from Especially since I don't fully understand what you mean by the world!"

As I finally got a good look at the screen, my eyes widened, and my jaw dropped at what I was looking at. On the screen were what seemed to be different categories of the different worlds I was able to pick, but what left me in such a state were the titles of these categories.

+Anime/Manga

+Books

+Movies

+Cartoons

+Comics

+TV

+Video Games

As I absentmindedly looked at the categories, my finger brushed the gaming category by mistake, and the whole screen changed as new categories replaced the old ones. This time the categories were in time periods, going back to the 1970s to the current year. As I began to delve deeper into the different categories, Steve spoke up.

"So, you can probably tell by now that when I said 'worlds', I wasn't talking about something so simple as a different planet or timeframe, but in actuality, you are picking between dimensions. As you noticed, these dimensions are those that you Earthlings have fabricated.

"This is because when a large portion of a population began to dramatize a concept, your thoughts and beliefs create this new dimension. Honestly, there is a lot more that goes to it, but it's the simplest and easiest way to describe it to you mortals. It also doesn't affect you in the grand scheme of things so don't worry about it. Also, the worlds you can choose from are the worlds that you knew about. You can't pick a world that you had no idea existed, but everything else is up for game. If you want to look for something specific or filter out some of the choices, just ask me and I can do something about it."

I nodded my head, barely hearing Steve as I continued to peruse the different choices. There were so many choices that I didn't even know where to begin! 'Honestly, I should probably filter out so stuff to make it a little bit easier for myself.'

"So, if I want to get rid of certain categories, I just ask you? Is there a limit of how much I can get rid of?" I asked, still rummaging through the screen.

"Yup, you can get rid of as much as you want, as long as you pick something I don't really care." With a small shrug of its shoulders, Steve walked over to me as we both gazed into the screen.

"Alright, can you get rid of the Comic and TV section? I never really got interested in comics so that category was a bust and I didn't watch much TV in my life, and most of the shows on TV didn't appeal to me. Also, get rid of anything that didn't come out after the 1990s, and anything that is mainly horror-related. I don't want to live anywhere that is primarily centered on horror."

Steve merely chuckled at my response as they snapped their fingers and the screen seemed to ripple as it returned to its original screen, this time without the TV and Comic categories.

'Now we are on a roll. I can think of a lot of things that will help in finding the perfect place!'

"Now, can you get rid of all the worlds that I have limited knowledge of? If I'm picking a new place to live, it's going to be one I know a lot about and since you know everything about me, you can easily do that! I also want you to get rid of anything that is very similar to how I lived in my life. Like you said before, I want something exciting and anything resembling my old life is the farthest I can think of to being actually exciting."

Steve just snapped his fingers again, mumbling out, "I told you so."

Alright! Now let's start picking!

It took nearly 30 minutes, all the while Steve was laying down, complaining that I was taking forever. I had narrowed it down to 3 different worlds: Naruto, Danmchi, and My Hero Academia. These three were the ones I knew the most about, were the most exciting ones, and would be perfect for a 'new character' so to speak. All three had a lot of potentials and now I just needed to pick the perfect one.

Naruto would be very exciting, with me being able to pretty much do anything I wanted if Steve allowed me that is. The people there would also be a good thing and a bad thing. Most of the main cast are pretty amazing people, but there are a lot of shitty characters too. The cons would be the constant fighting for my life, as seen throughout the anime, and a large amount of training I would have to do to even remotely be considered in the same group as the main characters. 'Hmm, I would need to choose very specific things for this to be my final choice.'

For DanMachi the freedom to do whatever you want to do was very appealing to me. The life of an adventurer would be tough, but that seemed to be the most challenging thing about the choice. DanMachi's world favored the concept of strength and skill. The stronger you became the more you were noticed, and the more freedom you could obtain. The world also provided a lot of potentials, I could be any kind of person. A mage, fighter, rogue, I didn't have to be on a set path like the other worlds. The main cast of characters was also very likable, with Bell being a very likable person. The cons would be the less than desirable characters such as Ishtar, Freya, and some of the adventures. There was also the constant threat of death from the dungeon, but each world had that going for itself.

Lastly, My Hero Academia has a very good story with a lot of great characters. Having a quirk would be pretty amazing, and I could probably train it to be more precise than that of Naruto and the thousands of Jutsu's. On the other hand, I would be going to a place that has pretty similar characteristics as my own, where I would have to get a job, school, etc. If I did become a hero, I would pretty much be a glorified police officer, and if I didn't, I wouldn't be able to use my quirk freely like I would want to. Also, the villains in the story become a very big problem as the story went on, so that could turn into a very big thing. 'Fuck, why does exciting have to mean fighting!'

Each choice had pros and cons, some more than others. I was already leaning towards an answer, but I would need some verification to ultimately make the choice.

"Hey Steve, I've got one final question before I pick the world."

At my comment, Steve immediately jumped up from his prone position, "Finally! What is it!"

"How detailed can I be when I choose the world? Am I allowed to choose certain things before I enter the world or is it all left to chance?"

"Honestly, you can choose a lot before entering the world. We used to leave it all to chance a long time ago, but the results were less than stellar and usually didn't provide a whole lot of entertainment for us. Since then, we have changed it, so you can choose some things before you go. We also give you a small blessing before you go, just to make you a lot more enjoyable to watch. Nothing overpowering but enough to make it, so you aren't a background character."

With that answer, I knew exactly where I wanted to go. "I want to go into the world of DanMachi, with some specifics if you don't mind."

"Finally! Only took you an hour to finally choose! Alright, what do you want before I send you on your way?"

As Steve said this, a small clipboard and pencil appeared in their hands as they began to write things down.

"I want to be male for starters, I also want to start 18 years before the main story takes place."

"Hmm, I can do that, but why 18? You were in your 20's before I took you."

"Eh, I think it would be a good starting spot. Give me enough time to make a name for myself before Bell comes along, while also not being too old that I can't relate to the younger characters. I would also like to be considered an adult before the story kicks off as well so that I'm not treated like some young kid."

"Yea, I can do that. Since we make you redo your life, starting a few years before the main events happen would be a good idea."

"Yup, my thoughts exactly! I also want to be an Elf if you don't mind. Out of all the races, Elves seem to be the most magically inclined, and while I don't want to rely solely on magic, I do want to be able to use it, especially if I can ask for specific magic from you."

"Again, that's fine. While I can't just give you the magic, since this world makes it so you need to become stronger to unlock it, I can make the precursor to it so it will be something you want. Nothing too overpowered as I said before! I will also be giving you a small blessing that you can choose from. Just think of it as another skill."

"That's fine, I didn't want to rely on it from the beginning anyway! It would make me too dependent on it, which as I've seen from other animes, results in death."

Steve merely nodded at my answer, their hand hovering over the clipboard as they waited for my answer.

"I was thinking of having the power of Illusions! I want to be able to become invisible, and I mean truly invisible. No sound, no smell, no presence, nothing. I want to be able to fight from the shadows, to be able to explore the dungeon without always having to fight! I'm not going to be the main character of the story, but God damn will I be a major contributor to it, even if they don't know it!"

As I finished, I looked to Steve to see and listen to their response, but Steve remained motionless, their hand not moving on the clipboard and no noise from their non-existent mouth. After a whole minute of nothing happening, I became a bit worried. 'Was my ask too much? Invisibility can be a bit broken… Should I have asked for something else?'

"I can-" Before I could finish my sentence, Steve titled their head upwards and let out a loud and booming laugh. It was a bit creepy with no facial features, but Steve continued to laugh and laugh at my answer. As the laughing continued, I became to fidget in place, still worried about what I had asked for. Especially since it had gotten Steve to laugh this hard and for this long. After a few more seconds where the laughs began to die down, Steve went to wipe away a non-existent tear from his non-existent eye before he finally answered my question, a few chuckles escaping as he talked.

"Kid, if I know you, which I do, you will not be on the sidelines, even with these powers. And second, I was thinking that you were going to pick something completely busted from the get-go, but Invisibility is something I did not expect. I can easily do that. I'll even throw in some other things to make it a bit more interesting for you, and those watching. Obviously, you won't be able to use it from the get-go, but you will see it when you get there! With that, there is only one more thing we need to fill in before you go, and that is your blessing!"

Several different cards appeared throughout the room, each with a picture of writing on it,

"Each one of these cards holds a specific blessing. You can either go around the place looking for one that catches your eye, or you can ask for a blessing and I'll see if I can make it work! Now, I'll just be waiting here for you to pick one, don't take too-"

"I already know what I want."

And it was the truth. After thinking over the different worlds I could choose from. One skill kept popping up in my head, especially since I saw the world where it originated. I knew I could make it work too, especially since I didn't want the whole thing.

Caught off guard at the interruption and already knowing what I wanted, Steve almost looked shocked as he said, "Well, then… That was faster than I thought. A lot faster. So… what do you want?"

"I want a skill that makes it so certain parts of my life similar to that of video games. The skill would make it so that I would have an inventory and an auto-loot feature. I also want a character screen where I can equip and de-equip items. I want to be able to have a mini-map that will help me in the dungeon, and lastly, I want to be able to see my Falna as I go through the dungeon."

"Wow, that seems to be a lot to ask, while also not being that much at all. They all seem to be small changes that do not affect the world around you that much. The auto-loot and inventory are pretty understandable. You don't want to have to deal with relying on others to get through the dungeon, and it would make things easier for you to explore without having to worry about picking up loot or bags. The map is probably for the same reason, as it makes it easier to see where you need to go, and where you have come from. The character screen would make it easier to change clothes, which would help in the dungeon, and on the surface. The last thing about being able to see the Falna is a bit strange though… Ah! I see! You want to be able to track your experience in the dungeon! You want to be able to see how much you have leveled up without it having to be checked. Smart. So, most of what you asked would barely be described as a proper blessing but having them all is definitely more than one blessing. But, making all of these into one blessing makes it workable! I'll have to put some limitations on a few, but I can get you what you asked for, and then some. You won't be able to use the blessings or the skill until you get a Falna, and that all depends on how early you get one.

I merely nodded as Steve guessed correctly for each ask. I was a little surprised that they were willing to give me everything I asked for, and also give me a few extras to go along with it, but I wasn't going to look a gift horse in the mouth.

"So, I've got everything ready for you, is there anything you need to ask before you go, or are we done here?"

"Eh, I just have a question and a few words to say before I go."

"Alright, shoot."

"Are the Gods in this universe the same as you and the others you mentioned before?"

"Nah, they are just the Gods of that universe. They don't anything about us so do not worry about them. Also, your skills and blessing will look normal to them as well, so you don't have to worry about anybody finding out who you are. Now, what do you need to say?"

As Steve said this, a glowing blue aura appeared around my feet, slowly circling up to the rest of my body.

"I just wanted to say thank you for the opportunity of living out one of my dreams, while also condemning you for taking me away from my old life. I don't know whether I should be ecstatic or depressed. So, since I'll never see you again I just have a few last words."

As the aura finally seemed to encompass my whole body, I extended my hand and offered Steve the one-finger salute as I smiled and said, "Thanks for everything!"

With that said, the aura seemed to thicken around me, cutting my vision from the world and Steve. The last thing I heard before everything went black was Steve saying,

"I don't know whether to be insulted or flattered… Fuck! I've got to get back to watching-"

Then nothing.
