Ch 2

Radley stirred come morning. Kalin on the other hand was still snoozing. Radley smiled, seeing him, and tried to doze again.

Kalin was thinking of getting up but was just too comfortable. Radley found it very pleasant too. Kalin finally mumbled something.

Radley was amused. "Hello?"

"Huh? Oh, good morning, Radley."

Radley went up on one elbow, smiling fondly. "Should we get up?"

"Yes, you're right," nodded Kalin.

Radley got up to make breakfast. Kalin went to the bathroom to change. Radley soon had breakfast going. Kalin finished changing and stepped into the dining room.

Radley smiled. "Hi."

"Hey Radley," smiled back Kalin. "What's for breakfast?"

"Strawberry crepes, scrambled eggs, and bacon," Radley said.

"Sounds great, as always."

"Thanks," Radley said as he sat down.

"I wonder what we are doing today?"

"Going to the City, I think?" Radley said.

"Oh right," nodded Kalin.

"I don't think we had plans beyond that, though," Radley said.

"Yeah, I know. Perhaps something will come up when we get there."

"It usually does," Radley smiled.

"By the way, these crepes are delicious," stated Kalin.

"I'm glad," Radley said. "It was my first time trying this recipe."

Kalin glanced at his friend in surprise. "Your first time? It's great for your first time."

"Thanks!" Radley beamed.

"Maybe I should learn how to make it, too."

"I'd be happy to teach you," Radley said.

"We should make some for Halloween. What do you think?"

"Great," Radley smiled.

"I'm checking to see when the Bunch are coming."

"Probably soon," Radley said.

He was right; they were on their way.

"Did they text you?" asked Kalin.

"Nah, but they always come," Radley said.

"You're right about that."

"Yeah," Radley smiled.

After breakfast, the Bunch arrived.

"Hey, good morning, everyone," greeted Kalin.

Greetings were exchanged all around.

"What are we doing today?" Scotch asked.

"We are going to the City. Would you like to join us?"

"Yeah!" Scotch grinned.

Everyone else was interested too.

"Let's go, then," nodded Kalin.

They all headed out. The drive to the City was a smooth one. They rode around for a while, just looking at everything.

"Today is a pleasant day; not too hot and not too cold."

"Perfect for fall!" Scotch said.

"Perfect for fall!" Scotch said.

"Yeah!" exclaimed West. "Let's go see Yusei!"

Radley headed there. Kalin also followed behind his friend.

Radley blinked, suddenly seeing the sky open. "What the …"

"Huh? What's wrong, Radley?" asked Nico.

"I have no idea." Radley pointed up.

"Black portals?" questioned Kalin. "This doesn't look good..."

Scotch stared in fascination. "Is anything going to come out?!"

In the distance, 4 people in Sengoku-era clothing tumbled out of a portal. They were surrounded by robots and looked very confused.

"... Well, that's something you don't see every day," Radley remarked.

"Are they cosplaying?" asked West.

One of the strange people was a tall man with long, brown hair that went down to his waist. He was wearing bright, red samurai armor and fighting with a katana.

"Considering they fell from the sky, I doubt it," Radley mused.

"I wonder what we should do?" asked Kalin.

"Call Yusei?" pondered Nico.

The 4 strangers could be heard calling their attacks. The samurai was perhaps the loudest of them.

"Are they attacking the robots?" Radley wondered. Hopefully. If they weren't, the attacks might be directed at them.

"It looks like it," said Kalin. "I can't stand by and not do anything. I'm calling Yusei and the police."

"Can the police do anything?" Virgil snorted. "They might just ask Team 5Ds to handle it."

Kalin shrugged and called Yusei's number.

"Hello?" Yusei answered.

"Hey Yusei? It's me, Kalin. We just arrived in the City and saw several portals opening up. As well as several samurai."

"… I see. What are they doing?" Yusei wondered if anything would really surprise him again.

"Fighting robots," replied Kalin. "Did any portals appear near your house?" He swore he heard some noises coming from Yusei's side of the phone.

"… Yeah, actually." Okay, Yusei is surprised again.

What sounded like a woman talking in a mocking tone rang out clearly. "Ooh, you fiends are naughty..."

"Yusei? Crow?!" exclaimed Kalin in horror. He turned quickly to Radley.

Radley frowned. "Some of us better get over there."

"Yes," nodded Kalin.

However, before they could get going, the long-haired samurai called out.

"Hold it right there!"

Radley froze. This was not a position he wanted to be in.

"Shouldn't we be saying that to you?" he said mildly. "After all, you're the ones who fell into our world."

"Fell into your world?" asked a girl in a miko outfit.

"Is that why all the buildings and people look strange?" asked a woman holding a spear.

"Yes, I suppose so, if yours don't look like ours," Radley said.

"Uh, well, let's just say the buildings aren't so tall," said a guy holding a bow.

"Perhaps we can find answers if we go with you folks," said the samurai. May we call a truce?"

"We need to go help a friend who's also having problems with strangers showing up at his door," Radley said. "He might be in danger. Yes, if you're willing to form a truce, come with us. Maybe you can get them to back down if you know them."

"Very well," nodded the samurai. "Perhaps it is time we introduce ourselves. I am Ryoma, lord of Hoshido."

"I'm Radley," said Radley, and everyone introduced themselves.

"I'm Hinoka," said the lance-wielder.

"Takumi," nodded the archer.

"And I'm Sakura. Pleasure to meet all of you," smiled the miko.

"So, what's your world like?!" Scotch eagerly asked as they headed for Yusei's.

"Why do you want to know?" asked Takumi.

"You're being rude, brother!" scolded Sakura. "Um, sorry about my brother. Anyways, Hoshido is very pretty with lots of cherry blossoms."

"That sounds cool!" Scotch said.

"We live in the palace, where we trade with the neighboring kingdom of Nohr," added Hinoka.

"What are they like?" Scotch asked.

"They are quite intimidating, especially Lord Xander," replied Hinoka.

"I wonders who with Yusei," Radley said.

"Guys! Yusei is in trouble!" Kalin told the Hoshidan siblings. The same robots they fought earlier were also in front of Yusei's home. 5 people clad in mostly black clothes were fighting them.

"What?! It's the same things we were fighting!" yelled Takumi.

"It looks like someone is helping, though?" Scotch said.

"Should we just watch?" asked Kalin.

One of the 5 Nohrians noticed them. She has long, silver hair and slightly pointy ears. When she turned around to see who was approaching, she was shocked.

"Huh? Lord Ryoma? Hinoka, Takumi, Sakura? What are you doing here?" she gasped.

"I see no need to get involved if we don't have to," Radley mused.

"Corrin, Lord Xander? You were brought here too?" asked Ryoma in shock.

"Lord Ryoma? How's this possible?" asked Xander.

Radley just watched, staying alert in case they were suddenly attacked

"Have any of you seen a man my age wearing a blue jacket?" asked Kalin.

"Those guys are scary..." said Nico.

Yusei came out of the garage. "Kalin, I'm okay!"

Kalin was both shocked and relieved at the same time.

"Yusei, how did these people appear here?"

"They came out of a portal and started fighting," Yusei said.

Xander dismounted his midnight black steed. He seemed to towered over Yusei.

"Tell us, what land were we summoned to? And what are those strange creatures?"

"Uh … this is Earth," Scotch said. "And what strange creatures? The robots? They're not from here. …"

"Earth?" repeated Xander. "Hmm, interesting. Perhaps it's time we introduce ourselves. I am Lord Xander of Nohr."

Another round of introductions took place.

"Can we be friends?" asked Elise as she bounced around.

"Yeah!" Scotch said.

"I would love to be friends too," smiled Sakura.

"Should we contact the others, Yusei?" asked Kalin.

"Yeah! Lots of new friends!" Scotch grinned.

"We should probably find out if any other portals opened," Yusei said.

"Are these Earth friends of yours charming?" asked Camila.

"Uh, I suppose so..." shrugged Kalin uncomfortably. "Anyway, Yusei is right. We should check other areas of the City."

"I meant, we could call the others and see if portals opened for them too," Yusei said.

"You're a good strategist," remarked Leon.

"Where do we start?" asked Takumi?

"I'll call Jack and Crow and see what's happening with them," Yusei said, smiling at Leo. He took out his phone and dialed.

Jack answered the phone. "What's going on, Yusei?"

The Hoshidans and Hohrians observed Yusei has he spoke into the strange object.

"Hey, Jack. Have any portals opened around you lately?" Yusei asked.

"Portals? A black one opened over the Turbo Duel Stadium," replied Jack.

"Did anything come out?" asked Yusei.

"Some animal shaped robots. But that's nothing we haven't seen before!" replied Jack.

"What are they doing now?" Yusei asked.

"Jumping on people's vehicles," scoffed Jack. "We've been trying to get them to stop!"

"We? Who's with you?" Yusei asked.

"Crow and the kids," said Jack. "Who's with you?"

"Kalin, Radley, the Bunch, the kids, and some visitors," Yusei said.

"What do you mean by some visitors?" asked Jack skeptically.

"Some people from portals," Yusei said.

Jack's Crow, and the twins ' jaws all dropped.

"People appeared out of portals too?!" exclaimed Luna.

"What are they like?" asked Leo.

"They're nice," Yusei said.

"Can we see them?" asked Leo.

"Yeah, we could use some help here. Help the people evacuate," said Crow.

"We'll be right there," Yusei said.

"It sounds dire over there," frowned Corrin.

"Shall we be off, sir?" asked Ryoma

"It sounds like they need a lot of help," Yusei said.

"Let's ride together!" yelled Xander as he got on his steed.

Everyone headed to the other location.

A/N: I noticed while wring this story, there are two Leos. So, from now on, I'm going to call the one from FE: Fates by his Japanese name, Leon.))
