AN: Okay so this is the story where the gang gets Justin back for all those pranks he pulled on them at the first of the month. I got the idea from a wonderful helper Simply Written because I couldn't think of how to get Justin back. So thank you for some of the ideas that are in here. I did however change the location of where the big event happens. I thought would be easier if was in a house than the loft below them.

AN2: Season one is when this takes place. Why I got Debbie to go with Brian to ask Jennifer something.

Summary: All month Justin's thought he got away with pulling the pranks. It's what Brian had their friends do so they could get him back on Halloween night. He even got Jennifer to let them borrow Molly for the night.

Title: Halloween Payback

The Night Before

Writing On The Mirror With Ghostly Sounds

Justin couldn't believe that he'd gotten away with all the pranks he'd pulled at the beginning of the month. It was the Halloween eve and after tomorrow night the month would be over. All month he'd waited for someone to get him back in some big way. He'd had a couple of things done. Fake chocolate balls for one, it had really been brussels sprouts with chocolate covering them. Debbie had gotten that one over on him which she said she was sorry, it had been meant for Brian, not him. Brian had tried to scare him with little things, but he wasn't scared of rats. He'd smiled picking it up asking if that was the best he could do for a prank. His sister had gotten many on him when they'd hung out though. He'd gotten her back as well. The day they'd gotten Brian before he'd taken her back home, he'd gotten her the largest ice cream she could eat.

It was why he wasn't expecting anything to happen. It was how everyone had decided to play it when Brian had explained that it couldn't have been him. Cynthia and he had been out of town at the time. They had all been shocked and said they needed to get Justin back for the pranks. He knew that it had to be something really good though. Snake coming from toilet, black teeth, brain in the mail, IT at the window. Then Michael's shower scene and mask in the window which had caused him to pass out. The banshee in the medicine cabinet he'd thought was great though. There was Emmett's under the bed demon. Brian had really wanted to know how in the world Justin had pulled that one off and not gotten caught. His however had been the one that he most wanted to get the wickedly devilish genius back for. Molly coming out of that cabinet like she had with white face paint on her that glowed and red demon eyes.

He had stopped by when he knew that Jennifer's asshole husband wouldn't be there. Debbie had gone with him just in case she didn't want to deal with him. They had an understanding about Justin living with him sure, but what he wanted to do might need other adults for her to agree to. She had actually laughed when they'd told her what Justin had done. It seemed that she had taught her kids those pranks. She had promised to let them borrow Molly the night of Halloween as long as she got to go trick or treating before the fun started. He'd promised she'd have the best night of Trick or Treating that was possible.

They had needed time to plan so he'd picked Molly up a couple of time from school the week before Halloween. A friend of Jennifer's was a realtor so they had asked if they could borrow a house she was trying to sell. There was one that no one had wanted for almost four years because of the owners dying. It was nothing horrible, just old age and they hadn't been found for a while. It was the perfect set up for what they needed to get Justin back with.

Tonight though, was going to be the set up to the following night. Brian knew the person that rented the apartment below him. They had agreed to let him plant a few things and they'd turn them off later. He had told Justin he forgot something in the Jeep after they'd had dinner. It had given him the chance to go in the apartment and do the first part to spook Justin a little, he hoped. He set a recorder in the vent that was closest to their bathroom. Justin had said he was going to shower. He also had set up multiple speakers in their loft that were hidden. They were smaller than the ones Justin, Molly, and Daphne had rigged up to scare him with Molly's laughter.

The recorder would play until Marcus turned it off. He'd asked him to wait twenty minutes before he did so. It had lots of ghostly noises on it he'd found online. After he set it up he went back into their loft finding Justin going into the bathroom. He had used it before he left and written something on the mirror that would only show once it fogged up. He already knew that he was going to have to act like he didn't see it. It wouldn't be hard because he had taken a drama class as an elective in college. The class had been full of guys he'd wanted to fuck. He sat down on the couch with a smile on his face. Once he heard the shower turn off, he'd flip the switch to make the mirror really show up.

"Let the games begin, Justin." Brian said in a low voice with a laugh.

Justin had finished getting dressed when the lights went off. He thought it was Brian trying to get him by flipping the light switch off, but he could see there weren't any on in the other rooms either when he peered out of the bathroom. He felt for the wall getting ready to call out Brian's name. When he turned his head that was when he noticed a glowing. It was odd since the lights were out in the apartment and he didn't have a flashlight. He wasn't even sure if Brian had one in the loft. He'd seen an old lantern sure and there were candles, but flashlight he hadn't seen.

He walked towards the mirror and stopped. 'We died, now we want you too and the precious girl' was glowing across the mirror. The other day he remembered Lindsay asking Brian if he'd heard anything this year about the case on the people that had been murdered in the loft before he got it. He'd told her that the cops still had nothing after all this time. He was just glad that they he never stayed in on Halloween night to deal with their crap. Justin had looked at him laughing asking if he actually believed in ghosts. The answer had been, I do not stay there on Halloween night. He said most times he didn't stay there the night before or after either. He'd told him he was nuts if he was going to fall for that.

"BRIAN, are you in there?" Justin called out looking around behind him. "It's some kind of trick." He said to himself. "Brian rigged this up somehow."

After a moment or two Brian walked in the bathroom with a flashlight, so he did own one. "What's wrong?" He asked.

"Did you do that?" Justin asked pointing to the mirror.

"Do what?" Brian asked looking at the mirror. He walked over to it, even touched it. He made sure it was outside of the glowing words. "I don't see anything."

"You have to, it's there on the mirror glowing. We died, now we want you too." Justin said going up to the mirror and touching the stuff. "And the precious girl."

"I'm telling you, I don't see anything in the mirror." Brian said. "Are you feeling okay? You were watching a lot of spooky movies earlier. Maybe it's making you see stuff that's not there." He offered as an excuse. "Then again, maybe Fred and Charlotte are playing with you. It is the night before Halloween." He added.

"You really don't see the words?" Justin asked looking back at the mirror. "Fucking hell, they're gone." It was like they had vanished, but he knew they had been there. He was sure he wasn't imagining things. "I told you that I didn't find anything about their murders. So, I highly doubt they are here." He groaned.

Brian turned so that he was facing away so Justin couldn't see his face. The paint would only glow for three or so minutes after the lights went out. The words were there, and he'd have to get them cleaned off later when Justin was busy. He said he was going to check the breaker since the other people had power. He was hoping Justin would notice the spooky noises. He already heard them but couldn't come out and say it.

"Maybe you should get some sleep." Brian said walking out of the bathroom.

Justin touched the mirror again now that the words were gone. He didn't understand how it could be gone unless it was some kind of special writing. He started to follow Brian, but he heard what sounded like a person was cackling. There were other noises too now that he wasn't talking he could hear them. They sounded like they were coming from below him and from inside the walls too. The lights came back on and he took off out of the bathroom.

"Okay, you might not have seen the stuff on the mirror, but you have to hear that." Justin said coming up to Brian. The sounds were in there as well and more eerie. A door slamming caused him to jump, but the loft one was still closed.

"I don't hear anything." Brian said looking around. He reached up touching Justin's head. "Are you feeling okay?"

"I feel just fine, but there are sounds in this loft and you can't tell me you don't hear them." Justin grumbled.

"Sorry, but nope. You want to watch another movie? We should stick to something less scary though. I think you're tripping." Brian said turning to walk towards the TV to keep Justin from seeing the smile on his face. Yeah, Justin was going to get him, but payback was a dish best served when least expecting. He knew it was actually cold, but least expecting sounded right at the moment.

Justin was fixing to say something else about the noises when they stopped. They were gone like the words on the mirror had vanished. He shook his head looking around the loft in all the areas he could see. There wasn't anything that stood out being different. Maybe he was tired and Brian was right about all the movies making him jumpy. He never got that way before, but he had gone with Daphne to a movie after they'd watched the ones here. It was a showing of Scream and halfway through the movie it had gone off. It had been pitched black in there. The ones that worked in the theater had glow in the dark Ghostface masks on. So, when the lights had gone out they'd been sitting through out the place. It had made a lot of people scream including Daphne since one had been sitting beside her. He had jumped, but hadn't screamed, but it had definitely been slightly frightening.

"Come on sit, I'll let you put on the Power Puff girls or some other cartoon you like." Brian offered. "I don't see or hear anything, but I wouldn't let Fred and Charlotte get you." He added.

He knew the fact he was offering to watch Cartoons with Justin and not complain about them would get Justin to relax. Then when they went to bed he could start round two. He smiled when Justin sat down beside him once he had put a movie on. He wrapped his arm around him pulling him in close. He'd made it clear to everyone that they weren't playing no fake deaths or cut off limbs as payback. He wanted to scare Justin some without being cruel. Even if he was in on it, he still had Justin's back on it getting too out of hand. There was no way he was letting Michael pull a Carrie moment as revenge like he'd begged to do. He wasn't sure if Molly's plan with herself wasn't close to it. Though she had said it was an evil genius of a plan.
