To all my readers-When I first found this site, I started uploading this Power Rangers SPD fanfic that I was writing at 15 years old. At the time, I was just writing as a lost episode of Power Rangers SPD and never had a good plot. Now that I've found the one that I had printed out, I'm typing it back on my laptop and editing it as I go along. I hope that everyone likes it and Happy Reading!

I OWN THE OC AND THE IDEA OF THE FANFIC. I DO NOT OWN POWER RANGERS!

I looked around the room. Nothing seemed unusual, but then I had the urge to sneak out of my room. Making sure that no one was looking outside, I climbed out my bedroom window, down the rusty fire escape and onto the concrete ground. After climbing down a fifty-foot fire escape into an alley, I started walking down the alley, looking for parts for my science project. I knew that deep down inside, I was different, different from the other kids my age there.

When I reached the main street of the alley that stood between the orphanage and the coffee shop next door, I started thinking about what is really so special, so unique about me that even the other kids knew I was different from them. Being different was hard enough at school when everyone there knew that I was a freak, especially when I had to use my powers to get a book off of a high shelf in the school library.

As a little girl, I would have these dreams if someone wearing a hood, carrying a sleeping child in a bright pink blanket. The dreams that I would always use to have as a little girl would have me waking up in the middle of the night, drenched in a cold sweat. But somehow, the dreams stopped when I was seven years old. To this day, I would often think about them, attempting to figure out what those dreams were trying to tell me. I always asked myself, who was that person carrying that sleeping child.

Now that I'm 16 going on 17 years old, I started to think about what my mom really looked like before leaving me at the orphanage. One of that staff members, Ziva, had told me about the day my mom brought me to the orphanage. Another staff member had said that she was most beautiful and an intelligent person.

Lily, another staff member had told me that she put me in the orphanage for a lot of different reasons and I wasn't the one to blame. One day while I was in the kitchen doing the dishes, a kind staff member that I became incredibly close to, named Kari said to me, "On the day your mom came to the orphanage with you in her arms, you were no bigger than a three-year-old. All your mothers told me was that your name is Aurora (Will change the name before uploading) and that when you get an older, you'll be ready to go find her."

"Seriously? You've got to be kidding me. Kari, you and I both know that one very special day of trying to find my mom will never come for me, right?" I asked her. "That day I could be hoping for can't be today, tomorrow, or even next week. Better yet, it's not even next month or next year."

"You don't know that, Aurora." said Kari. "That day might come to you as a surprise."

"Oh yeah? No matter how hard I wish that day will never come." I told her. "I mean, come on, why did she put me in an orphanage when she could have raised me herself? It's just plain stupid that she did this to me."

"I know." Kari said, placing her hands on my shoulders. "I get it. It's frustrating for you and you want to know why she did this. But at some point, you will meet her."

"What else can you tell me about her?" I asked.

"She told me that you were in danger and that you were born with a gift. When I asked her why, she couldn't tell me anything more about it." Kari tells me. "All your mother could say was that someone who was a former friend of her and your father's was very dangerous and was after you."

"But why though?" I asked.

"Aurora, look at me." she said. "She did what she thought was best. She wanted to put you somewhere safe and out of harm's way. She just wanted to protect you."

Kari decided to helped me clean the dishes and put them away. I shook my head at this as I handed her a clean plate. I knew that deep down, I would find her one day, but I doubt that it would be anytime soon.

"Ok, point very well taken, Chicken Little. But why did she have to do it when she could have raised me herself? Why did she put me here if I was going to be in so much danger?" I asked. "Who is she trying to protect me from anyway? What is she trying to protect me from anyway?"

When Kari couldn't say anything further about my mother, I assumed that was why I started having the dreams. I started touching the heart pendent of my necklace, something that I've always had since arriving at the orphanage. Trying to find myself something to do, without thinking, I just went straight to the park. As I sat down on a bench and started thinking about the dreams I had when I was a little girl.

While I was in deep thought about the dreams I had as a child, I secretly started wishing that something would actually happen in the park. Not realizing that my deepest desire would come true, I heard something crash right behind me. As I jumped up from the park bench to see what was going on, I saw the rangers from S.P.D.

Jack, Sky, Bridge, Z and Syd were fighting a numerous amount of black and grey Krybots as an unknown monster was terrorizing people. While everyone was fleeing in all different directions, I heard Jack say, "We need to call for back up."

Without them seeing or hearing my footsteps, I started running towards them, looking for a place to hide myself. Just then, the rangers took the fight towards the park entrance, giving me time to hide behind a tree near a tunnel that lead out of the park. Next to the tunnel's entrance was a dumpster.

"That's it! If I can get close enough, I can drop the dumpster right on top of those Krybots." I muttered to myself as I ran towards the dumpster. "I just hope that I don't get caught by the rangers."

I stared at the dumpster, feeling the weight with my telekinetic power and used my hands to lift it off the ground. As I continued to stare at the dumpster, it quickly rose ten feet in the air. Both Krybots and the rangers stopped in mid battle, seeing the now floating dumpster.

"Huh?"

"What's going on?" asked Jack and Z.

"How did the dumpster get up in the air like that?" asked Sky.

"Dumpsters are not supposed to defy gravity, right?" said Bridge.

Very confused at what was happening in front of them, the rangers couldn't believe their eyes at what they were seeing. "Come on. That's right, you walking tin cans." I muttered as the Krybots gathered around underneath it as the dumpster went higher and higher. "Watch the dumpster. Cause as of this moment, you're now going to be eating more metal than you can handle for lunch."

Then with a flick of my hands, the dumpster starts to shake in midair and finally dropped at a forty-foot height, right on top of the Krybots, crushing them underneath it. After the fight, I smiled for a job well done for my part against the Krybots, I quickly started climbing the tree in hopes to hide myself in the tree branches.

Wondering who had helped them with their battle against the Krybots, the rangers powered down and started looking everywhere, looking for said person. I smiled to myself as Syd and Z ran past the tree I was hiding in. "They'll never find me up here." I thought to myself.

When the rangers couldn't find who they were looking for, they left the park and headed back to their base. "Well, I've done my good deed for the day." I said to myself as I hopped down from the tree. "And now I've got bigger things to do. Like my science fair project."

I started to leave the park, unknowing that there was a camera behind me, panning as I walked away. What I didn't know was that my actions were caught on an S.P.D. camera. As I was leaving the park, I started heading back to the orphanage, thinking about my science fair project.

"I need to at least get started on my project before dinner's ready." I said as I entered the alley. As I climbed back up the fire escape and into my room, I started sketching out the blueprint to my science fair project and looking at the things I had around my room. While I was sketching, I kept hoping that no one saw me helping the rangers with their fight. When I had finally finished sketching out my blueprint, I began working on my science fair project.

I was half way through building my project when it was time for dinner. "I really hope that this project doesn't blow up to kingdom come like it did last time," I said at my half-finished project. "because I just cant keep fixing it every time I test it out."

I put a cover on my project and headed out of my room for dinner. By the time dinner was over, I decided to hang out in the library for a little while before heading back up to my room to finish my project. Just as I was about to enter the library, I passed by Loretta, a girl from my dorm, along with her group of friends.

"Look you guys, it's the freak of nature!" Loretta said to her friends. "I wonder where she's going. Hey freak!"

She and her friends start to storm their way towards me. I looked behind me, seeing her and picked up the pace towards the library. "I don't want any trouble, Loretta." I called out over my shoulder, hoping that I can get in and out of the library without having to get a broken nose.

"Whatever, freak! You're still going to get a beating no matter where you are in the orphanage." said Loretta.

But before I could reach the bottom step of the library, Loretta and her group of cronies grabbed me, then started their attack. They punched every single part of my body as hard as they could before Loretta landed her final blow on my face, breaking my nose. "Freaks like you should be at the freak farm." she said to my face.

Her friends laughed at this as they all walked away, leaving me helpless at the bottom of the staircase. Before anyone could find me, I curled up into a ball and started crying my heart out into the wooden floor of the orphanage. It was about fifteen minutes later when someone found my injured body and took me to the infirmary.

At S.P.D. earth station, Commander Anubis 'Doggie' Cruger was standing in the command center, staring at the screen when the rangers walked in, trying figure out what happened. Once they entered the command center, they began to tell him what happened at the scene, talking over each other. As they continued to talk over each other, the less patience their commander was getting.

"Enough!" barked Commander Cruger and the rangers became silent. "I don't know how you defeated those Krybots either and I would really to know what happened out there. Anyone of you care to explain?"

"Sir, what happened out there…." Bridge said as Cruger slowly starts walking around them before babbling into one of his theories. After each ranger tried to tell the commander what had really happened from their point of view during the battle, Cruger knew what he had to do.

"Lets look at the monitor from the park and see what actually happened out there." he said. "Kat?"

"This is what the satellite captured, Commander." said Kat, standing over by the monitor and brings up the footage.

While Cruger, the rangers and Kat were watching the footage, I was finally out of the infirmary and back in my room, working really hard on my science fair project. I worked late into the night, putting on the finishing touches.

"Finally! I'm done." I said, turning to my alarm clock to see that it was half past midnight. "Lets hope that it doesn't blow up."
