"Viserys…please don't make me do this…."
Daenerys cried out in pain as Viserys grabbed her hair, his eyes filled with hate and madness. "Listen to me, I've helped keep you alive and its way past time for you to start being useful. The arrangements have been made, you will meet Drogo, you will impress him, and then you will be married!"
He shoved her hard against the table, "I WILL get MY throne back no matter what it takes."
Daenereys looked sat him feeling hatred, she was the blood of the dragon and more and more flames were flickering inside her. How she wished they could transform into an inferno and burn Viserys alive as he screamed and writhed in pain, begging for a mercy she would give.
***
Daenerys stood in the inferno of the flames of Drogo's funeral pyre, her newborn dragons clutched to her, THIS was true fire, true power. The fire was beautiful and she let it became part of her. It gave her a feeling of life she'd never known. No longer would she be a pawn for others.
She was the Khalessi and the dragon's daughter and she would be the one to reclaim the Iron throne.
***
Daenerys watched as her dragons burned the masters and the Unsullied become her soldiers, today she had delivered fire and freedom, the explosion of flames were beautiful, it showed she was the dragon and her power.
Slowly her confidence in herself was growing, no longer a powerless little girl. The inferno blazed within her heart.
She looked over at Ser Jorah, looking at her in awe and respect, maybe a little bit of fear also.
She knew he was in love with her, but she couldn't afford to let herself be distracted by love. She had loved Viserys and Drogo, both had brought her pain and loss.
The fire and flames were her constant and she would keep it that way.
***
Her eyes blazed with hatred and the inferno within her demanded justice overwhelming any other feelings in her, Ser Jorah had betrayed her from the very first moment they had met.
His pitiful pleas of forgiveness and love.
She couldn't believe there were times she had considered giving herself to him, merely to have a distraction from ruling.
Thank the gods she hadn't.
The fire blazed as she announced her was banished and the despair that came to his face and eyes. But she stayed stone.
Later in her chambers did the fire burn out a bit in exhaustion and she let her tears flow. She had loved him back and even though she hadn't acted on it and faced it she still found herself in pain.
The fire was the only thing true to her.
It was the only thing she'd allow herself to love now.
***
The battle to take back Dragonstone was over and she was victorious, she walked the grounds all of her ancestors had walked on and swore she could feel their echoes.
The fire blazed in her heart and soul.
Soon it would be time to take the Iron Throne.
***
Who did this Jon Snow person think he was!?
Standing in HER castle and throne room snarling and showing distain toward her. Raving some garbage about an army of the dead.
She would not allow herself to be distracted, and every part of her soul screamed this dour faced bastard, who really made a pretty laughable ruler as far as she was concerned would somehow only bring about her doom.
The fire blazed as she stood up as she told him he could mine the dragon glass and then be off the island, or she would have her dragons burn him.
He paled and Daenerys could tell he knew she meant it.
****
Daenerys allowed elation to sweep through her as she sat on the Iron Throne, for once fire wasn't the dominant thing. Cersei was defeated and Daenerys had reclaimed her family birthright.
She smiled as Ser Jorah entered the throne room to give her his reports, he'd proven himself worthy of her forgiveness time and time again.
He had braved the fires of her fury.
Maybe…. Daenerys shook the thoughts away before they could form. She still had her new throne and other things to deal with.

Jon Snow was at it again, still going on about those dead creatures and a rumor was swirling that some book had been discovered that revealed him to be her brother Rheagar's son.
Daenerys knew she had to shut these rumors down and invited him to King's Landing with his proof.
And he came with the book and one of those creatures in a crate, Daenerys had to admire the brave fools who went and caught that thing.
She still found it hard to believe she shared blood with this man, he had none of the Targaryen beauty, no doubt it made it easier for him to have been concealed.
They reached an agreement, she would help defeat the dead, she would agree not to try to interfere with the North as its own independent nation and he'd keep his mouth shut about his true parentage. Unless she showed signs of going mad like her father.
She had to admit deep down that if she did go mad she'd prefer death and he would also deserve the throne in that case.
Her ship sailed to the North and Daenerys had to admit she was feeling lonely; the fire couldn't help with everything in life.
She hadn't loved Daario, he had been a pointless, physical, attraction. But he did give her release when she needed it.
He was also no challenge to her power, nor would she ever be willing to risk her pursuit of the throne for him, other reasons she had taken him to her bed.
But the more she thought of everything, his cocky nature annoyed her and how immature he was, she let him use her to increase his standing. She wouldn't be surprised if he'd bragged to others how he'd gotten the last Targaryen.
If she'd see him again eventually she would never allow him into her bed. She was done with him.
Just then a knock came to her door and she was surprised to see Jon Snow there, looking unsure and hesitant.
She let him in out of curiosity.
"From the first moment." He began softly, "I felt a strange pull, beyond all control…"
"We share the same blood, Jon Snow, the ancestors married for generations, that's likely why."
"But, I still feel it, we don't know what will happen next and I know there's something there and we should explore it. May I kiss you?"
Daenerys sighed in her head, maybe it'll get rid of this fool faster, who knows maybe I need a big distraction.
His lips touched hers, but Daenerys felt nothing, no passion at all. Even the flames and fire within her weren't responding.
This man meant nothing, and she vowed she would not ever take someone to bed out of desperation or boredom. He would have to mean something to her.
Daenerys pulled away, "Go away Jon Snow, I feel no desire for you, I will not waste my time."
Surprise came to his eyes and he was definitely offended a little bit, but he looked a little relieved.
"I gave my word to help you and your kingdom, Jon Snow, "I'm someone who always keeps my word."
"I had the weirdest vision that told me to create an emotional bond with you to ensure you'd stay."
"No one deserves to be used, that's happened to me to many times in my life."
"I'm sorry your Majesty, I really am." Daenerys could see that he meant it.
"I accept your apology, Jon Snow, it seems we could both use a distraction so would you like to stay and play some cards or another game?"
He smiled and nodded, he didn't want to be a King but would not let the North down. He opened up about the woman who held his heart, Sansa, his half-sister growing up and now only a cousin.
"Tell her, Jon, not when it's all over but when you get home."
"I'll think about it." He replied, shyly. "Whomever ends up marrying you will be a lucky man."
Daenerys hadn't wanted to do that, her experience with Drogo still fresh, but she had admitted she wondered what it would be like.
She smiled at Jon, "Thank you."
Flames were formed between them that night. Flames of family and friendship.
***
The long night was over, together Daenerys and Jon had defeated the night King and his army, together they had fulfilled the prophecy of the Prince who was promised.
Daenerys held Jorah's bloodied body to her, "Don't die my bear! Not after everything we've been through!"
Flames of desperation and determination rose in her, "Drogon, find Jon, find help of some kind!"
Drogon quickly flew off and she was alone with Jorah, his eyes were closing.
"No! Oh my bear, I'm so sorry I let the fires that burn within me overwhelm that day in Meeran, and those times in the fighting pit. I pushed you away out of fear and anger. I wanted to be a powerful queen, being seen as a woman made me feel vulnerable."
She took a deep breath, "After Viserys and Drogo, I swore never to be powerless because of men again. Love would make risk everything. I love you, Jorah Mormont."
She didn't know if he could still hear anything.
Next thing she knew Jon was there with some of his men along with Grey Worm and some of his soldiers.
Jon made Daenerys get up so they could tend to Jorah and get him back to the castle.
"By the gods." Jon said in wonder, "What a stubborn man and warrior."
"I know." Daenerys whispered brokenly…." I just shut my eyes…"
"You'll get another chance Daenerys, you've spent your life breaking other people's chains, time to break the ones you put on your heart."
Jorah surprised everyone by surviving and Jon and Sansa stayed by her side as much as she could. She could tell by the way the two of them acted with each other their relationship had changed.
She was happy for them, but nothing compared to the happiness when Jorah awoke two weeks after the battle.
Jon told her to wait until he was back to full strength before she told him how she felt, so he wouldn't think it was pity at his condition.
Daenerys did her best, but dragons were not patient creatures."
Finally, he was well enough to leave his bed and walk around, he blushed as everyone told him what an amazing warrior he was and that they were glad he survived.
He cried in amazement and joy as Lyanna Mormont told him he was welcomed back to Bear Island.
Daenerys vowed to take him there as soon as she could.
She found him as they were all packing to head back to King's Landing, "I promise I'll get you there, once everything is settled back in the South."
"Thank you, Khalessi."
"Please use my name, Jorah, "I forgave you a long time ago."
He flinched and Daenerys hated herself for all the years of pain she'd given him.
"I should've shown you mercy that day…."
"Khalessi, you couldn't look weak in front of your people…. the way I was behaving…."
"You were hurting and scared Jorah, fire has burned in me all my life, I've used it as an excuse for decisions I've made, especially bad ones. I forgave you and hope you'll eventually forgive me."
She knew she'd stunned him.
"I meant it on the battlefield when you were laying in my arms, I meant it in your cot as I stayed with you as you fought for your life, I love you, Jorah Mormont."
His eyes were stunned and wary, Daenerys hated herself for filling him with doubt and fear.
"I'm sorry, Khalessi, but those feelings are not shared."
Daenerys had to grab the desk to steady herself, "It was never you I loved, you look so much like her its mind boggling."
"Who?" Daenerys asked, hating that she sounded like a small child.
"Lynesse," He said quietly.
His bitch of an ex-wife the one he had ruined himself for and went into exile for.
"I realized it as I thought it would be my last few hours alive, before Samwell came and saved me. I was in awe of you of course, and I transferred my lingering feelings on you, I am sorry Khalessi."
He wasn't looking at her as he was saying those things, he was lying to protect his heart, Daenerys could feel it.
She walked to him, "I don't believe you, Jorah Mormont."
"It's the truth." She took his hand and could feel it tremble, knew all of him was trembling.
He quickly took it away and tried to put distance between them, "Even if I did somehow still feel love for you it could never be?"
"Why not?" She replied, her tone one of determination.
"You are Queen and I am Captain of your guards, I am just a Knight."
"You're more noble than most men of so called royal status."
"You belong on your throne and eventually once the kingdom is truly secured I plan to return home and stay there. Plus, you banished me and so many know what happened, it would forever come up."
"Let people talk, I forgave you and have you at my side, the fact you are in such a trusted position should tell people everything they need to know."
"You'll find a proper person to marry, Khalessi…"
"Like tradition commands?" She sneered, "I intend to break the wheel in every single way."
"You have family…"
"Yes, Jon is family, but there is nothing between us, we agree that it was a mistake for everyone to marry each other for generations, it was why there was so much madness, especially toward the end."
She grinned, "His heart belongs to Sansa, so he's out of the running."
"I don't love you…"
"I know you're lying Jorah."
"Leave!" He begged, trying to make it sound like a command but failing.
Just then there was a knock at the door and Daenerys could've rained dragon fire down on whomever dared to interrupt them.
It was Grey Worm telling Jorah that Lyanna Mormont wanted his company, to go over his return to bear Island. Jorah looked relieved.
"Goodnight my Queen." Putting emphasis on the title.
Daenerys grinned in her head, oh my poor bear, you think that shall deter me?
No matter how long it took she would prover her love.
Fires of determination roared through her.
***
Daenerys moaned as hands roamed her body, goosebumps raised against her skin, fires of love and passion roared through her.
Jorah's hands were callused yet tender.
Never had anyone touched her so reverently.
He gasped as her hands moved over him, two could play this game.
It was their wedding night and they'd have so many more days and nights to come.
It had taken six months but she'd finally worn him down and helped him believe her, especially when she threatened to use Drogon to burn Varys and Tyrion if they even dared make another suggestion of a possible suitor to her.
Even Lyanna had remarked, "Face it cousin, she's not going away."
Daenerys had written to the girl, telling her how much she loved Jorah and asking to court him, she would've done that anyways, but she wanted to show Jorah and his family she was serious.
Sansa and Jon now married had also written to her, vouching for Daenerys.
Lyanna had clearly been amused in her answering letter.
Bear Islanders possess the strength of ten mainlanders and a lot more stubbornness than that.
Jorah had revealed to her how he had seen Jon going into her room that night on the boat and Daenerys told him everything that truly happened that night, "It's only you that has my heart my bear and if I have to spend the rest of my days in this life proving it to you, and finding you in all the next ones, then so help me, by the gods I'll do it."
And that night was when they finally kissed for the first time.
Daenerys came back to her present as the fires wanted to consume her but very much in a good way. How she had managed to deny herself this man like a fool for so long was mind boggling.
Never again would she hurt this wonderful man.
Not if she could help it.
And as they joined together, the fire blazed into an inferno.
****
Daenerys stared the baby in her arms, definitely her face but with Jorah's eyes.
Their precious son and proof that witch had been wrong about her being barren.
The sun had risen in the west and set in the east, this precious gift no doubt created during some point on their boat ride from King's Landing to Bear Island, or the way back.
A new fire unlike anything else she'd ever felt took hold her as Jorah held them both close to him.
A powerful love for the baby in her arms, to cherish and protect him always.
