In the early dawn of the Japanese countryside, one resident in a dimly lit room sported their trusty green tracksuit and zipped it up.
"Alright," he sighed before taking his backpack and leaving his house.
Kazuma had just come off a three day session as one of the worst starting nations in his treasured strategy game, and was now leader of the world. It was his favourite, but the newest limited edition version had just come out, and he had to go in store to grab his own copy. It was one of the few times he actually left the house.
In the mid-afternoon, he could feel the almost scorching heat of the sun on his fatigued body. He trudged along the concrete road, peering at the game in his hand.
"Five hour round trip for this," he smiled, "Totally worth it."
A part of him was sad, depressed almost, at what he'd become, but more to the fact that he accepted it so easily as if he never had a chance. He wouldn't dwell on it too much anyway; it was more important that he smashed this game first try on the hardest difficulty.
Deep in his own thoughts, he barely noticed someone walk past him.
'A girl from my high school?'
He peered behind him again, spying a slow moving tractor running behind and harmlessly past the girl who crossed the street.
'Huh… Wouldn't it be funny-'
PSHH
"Wha-"
SCREEEEECH
His gaze returned ahead; a van violently swerved towards him without a second to react. In the moment he needed his body to work more than ever, it was completely paralysed. His breathing hitched, his heart sank, and he could only hold his shaking hands outwards.
His mind raced as the last few moments were imagined in slow motion, 'Is- Is this it? It's all down to this moment? I-I never even-'
SLAM
…
The pain of the impact; the feeling of his crumpled body and bones continued to linger after he should've been long dead. It faded in what seemed like an immeasurable amount of time, but then the darkness began to lighten, and feeling came back to him as well.
Kazuma hesitatingly opened his eyes. He found himself on a chair looking down at a feint chequered pattern on the ground. He looked up at the room- well, more like the space he was in and saw glittering artefacts that seemed to span for miles around him, as well as a faint mist that surrounded him in a circle. More immediately in front of him sat a white chair, much fancier than his, with a small dresser aside it.
Before he had much of anything to think or say, the echoing sound of footsteps emanated beyond him.
"Satou Kazuma-san," A feminine voice trailed behind.
What soon followed was a young woman in appearance, with waist-long light blue hair. She had a sleeveless dark-blue feather dress with white trimmings and a miniskirt which matched in colour along with her thigh-high heeled boots. As soon as she came into his view, he couldn't take his gaze away from her. She was beautiful.
"Beauty no human could match…" he muttered under his breath.
She looked like every part of her was finely crafted, from the green bow around her chest, to the pink raiment and the spherical clip attached to the loop in her hair.
She sat down elegantly, crossed her legs and continued, "Welcome to the afterlife."
"...Afterlife?"
"Unfortunately, you passed away," she locked her hands together with a rather emotionless, yet beautiful look on her face, "You have moved on from your world; you are now dead."
Kazuma grasped her words and after initial surprise, looked back down with a downtrodden expression.
'Even though I accepted the lifestyle I was living, it still hurts to know I died in those circumstances. Somehow knowing I passed with absolutely nothing left behind just makes it worse.'
"Don't look down," the woman expressed, causing the young man to return his attention back to her, "You may have lived a life with almost nothing to lose," she lightly scoffed, "But you can now live a life with everything to gain."
Kazuma's eyebrow twitched at her comment, "What does that mean?"
She stood up from her seat, her pink raiment disappearing on command, "I am Aqua; a Goddess in charge of guiding young humans from Japan who have died to the afterlife. I can offer you two choices: You can go to heaven, where you can float around freely like a spirit and bask in the sun..." she paused, "But you won't be able to do much more than that. You won't have any of your little games, TV, or even a body so..."
She stood up and approached the slightly agitated young man, who began to blush as he saw her luscious curves from closer up. She stood right in front of him, leaned over his shoulder and whispered into his ear:
"You won't be able to have sex, either."
He chuckled nervously, "Well, since it's heaven, something like that wouldn't be so-"
"Important?" she smirked at him, "Even to a virgin?"
Kazuma's eyes widened. His stomach felt like it dropped to his bladder, his hands began to sweat and a wave of embarrassment came over him. His initial thoughts of this girl had changed from a benevolent Goddess to a patronizing wretch. He opened his mouth to protest, but only trembled as the shame coursed through his veins.
"...Or your second option is to be reincarnated," She gave a reassuring smile, "However," she said in sharp tone whist standing up abruptly, almost startling the young man, "your spirit will remain the same, meaning that your personality probably wouldn't change and knowing you-"
"Knowing me?" Kazuma glared up towards her.
She looked towards Kazuma with a face of pity, "It would probably end the same."
His fists clenched at her comment, "You don't know everything about me-"
"Of course I do," she quickly replied, turning her back to him and reaching for a small book sat atop the dresser, "For every subject I send to the afterlife, their accomplishments, achievements, and goals are all written here," She peered at it before trying to stifle a giggle, "I've been doing this a long time and I've never seen this so empty- I mean-"
She turned back around, held the book up towards him and flicked through every blank page from the back to the front. The only writing appeared after she had flipped to the first page of the book.
"pfft! Your whole story barely fills this page - PAHAHAHA!"
Kazuma's teeth gritted together. Forget a wretch, this girl was-
'A full-blown bitch!'
Her laughter echoed throughout the space around them. Kazuma could only convert so much of his shame into anger, and he felt his vision blur; tears began to fill his eyes. He closed them shut as hard as he could, leaning his head back; at least he wouldn't give that witch the satisfaction of calling him a crybaby.
The Goddess finally calmed down, "Oh well, I've vented enough stress now."
Kazuma opened his eyes again, glowering at the lady for what she had to say next.
"Both those options aren't really for you, but I can give you a third."
Kazuma stayed silent, scowling in her direction.
"You like games, don't you?" she smiled, leaning down to match his height.
Her quick change of subject surprised him, considering she was just ridiculing his entire lifestyle, but he didn't show any of this on the outside.
"You tell me."
She sighed from his dull response before placing a hand on her chest and reaching an arm out, "This world, peaceful since time immemorial, is under assault by the Devil King's army!" she continued the theatrics in front of the boy, "Monsters trample underfoot the life and culture that its citizens built up from naught!" a random spotlight appeared upon the girl as she lifted her arms during the finale of her melodramatic performance, "All live in fear of the demon army's pillage and slaughter!"
...
Kazuma waited for a punchline that never came, "So why would I want to live in such a place?"
She lifted a finger, "I will grant you any one thing to take with you; a powerful weapon or a tremendous talent."
His angry expression subsided slightly.
"Of course, you'll also have all your original memories intact!" she smiled at the grumpy kid.
"...And I can just speak this worlds language?"
"You won't have to worry about that." She displayed a book, the same one that she had just used to mock him- on a separate section, "As part of your God's Support Package-"
'God's Support Package? She sounds more like a saleswoman than a Goddess right now.'
"-We'll load the necessary info into your brain, so you'll learn the language instantly."
His eyes expanded at the claims of her and the book, if they were credible, anyway. Even if she was a master at pissing him off, he doubted she could lie about something like that so blatantly, and considering where he was, anything was believable at that point.
"If you're unlucky and complications arise, you might lose it though," she quickly covered a box on the page, "So all you need to do is pick an ability or item and you're set!"
'Lose… it?' his gaze returned to the happy-go-lucky Goddess, "I feel like you just skipped over something pretty significant there."
"Now, now," She beamed an innocent smile towards him, "Don't get so worked up over the small details!"
"That sounded pretty important th-"
"Now, choose!" the girl spun like a ballerina, and many small pieces of paper rained from above, "I'll grant you a power second to none!"
…
Many minutes passed, and Kazuma had laid all the abilities on the floor to examine and compare.
'It doesn't take a genius to see all of these are crazy broken abilities. I gotta make sure I pick the right one to carry me through the whole-'
crunch
"Hey, hurry it up; whatever you pick- it's all the same," The 'elegant' Goddess relaxed in her chair eating a bag of chips, "Nobody's gonna expect anything outta someone like you anyway."
"Someone like me…" Kazuma glared towards her again.
'This bitch needs to get off her high horse and show some fucking respect!'
"Say, do you even remember the faces of souls you bring to the afterlife?"
"Hmm? What are you talking about? Do you have any idea how many people I have to send off every day? All of them are just a blur to me, and don't think you're a special case."
He chucked lightly, "No, I'm not special; you've made that clear to me," he slowly rose to his feet with a shadowed smirk on his face, "But I can definitely make myself memorable."
"Huh? I don't know what you're…...talking about?" the Goddess displayed confusion upon seeing the brown-haired teenager point at her while mid-sentence.
"You."
…
"What?"
Before she could retort at the boy for his ridiculous proposal, a bright light appeared in the darkness of the space around them. A figure of another beautiful woman appeared. She floated down, and displayed large wings that spread meters across on either side.
"Satou Kazuma-san's request complies with the regulations and has been approved."
"...Huh?"
Before any more could be said, magic circles expanded around the two, and translucent walls surrounded them.
The young man's eyes widened at her words, he never actually thought it would pass; it was just a protest against the tyrant of a Goddess. A small amount of joy came at getting her back like that. He glanced smugly towards said Goddess and almost recoiled; her face was completely petrified.
"W-Wait! This isn't right! I'm a Goddess! A Goddess!" she screamed, banging on the walls, "You can't do this- Oh! Who will guide the souls without me? You need me!"
The angel barely regarded her words, "I shall perform your duties in your absence."
She gasped, taking a step back from the wall, "No… No… Don't do this to me- I can't live in a place like this! Please! PLEASE!"
Kazuma could hear her voice breaking. He honestly thought about going back on his decision, but then he remembered how she treated him before- like a piece of scrap to be discarded, and dug his nails into his palms.
"Should you defeat the Devil King, we shall send someone to retrieve you."
"All I can do is heal! When it comes to fighting, I- I'm…" she swallowed her pride, "There's no way I can beat him!"
They both began to start floating into the air.
"Brave hero, I pray you shall be the one to defeat the Devil King! If you do, the gods will grant you any wish you desire!"
He lightly gasped, "Really?"
"Now, go forth on your journey!"
"That's mine! You can't take this from me!" the Goddess wailed, while flailing around in the air.
A huge light opened in the ceiling, and both candidates, willing or unwilling, were sucked into the brightness which overwhelmed the entire space.
...
Kazuma's eyes squinted at the bright surroundings before realising where he was. He looked around at the new people, carriages, stone paved roads and brick buildings before taking a deep breath.
"Holy shit… This is real… This is real!"
He looked at his hands
'Here I can have a fresh start. Nobody knows me; I could be anyone; I can do anything!' he smiled and looked up in confidence, 'This is the end of my mundane, mediocre life. Now I'll reach the top!'
The boy heard incoherant mumbling from next to him. He turned to see Aqua crouched over, babbling nonsensical things to herself.
"Oi, what the hell are you-"
"You...YOU… YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE!"
THUD
The Goddess dished a nasty punch straight into Kazuma's face, causing him to collapse on the ground, holding his bloodied nose.
"Agh! What the fuck!?"
"YOU RUINED MY LIFE YOU PIECE OF SHIT!" she jumped on the young man, continuing to wail on him while screaming.
"Hey! Hey! Cut it out you crazy bitch!" Kazuma held his arms up to protect himself from the berserk woman, surprised by her unexpected strength.
"It's your fault for treating me like trash- you get what you deserve!"
"You are trash- you're a fucking nobody!"
Her loathsome words, along with her constant furious barrage sent Kazuma into a rage, "Get the fuck off me!" he grabbed the girl's forearms before shoving her off him and stumbling onto his feet.
"If you got such a problem with me then go back! I'll do it on my own without a whiny bitch like you!"
Aqua fell backwards, laying flat against the brick road.
She whimpered, covering her face with her forearms, "I can't…"
His creased scowl loosened, "...What?"
She moved into a kneeling position before starting to weep, "I can't…" her tears fell against the stone pavement, "I- hic* What am I supposed to do now?"
...
Kazuma couldn't think of anything to say. Sure, she humiliated him- using his mundane life and character for her own entertainment, but it was the truth. He looked at his dirty and bloody hands, then towards the sobbing girl on the pavement.
He paused a moment, "Hey-"
"Shut up!" she immediately retorted, standing up quickly and staring daggers into his eyes. Her beautiful face had contorted into a crude scowl, stains of tear streams across her cheeks, with dirt all over her clothes and hair.
"I hope I never see you again."
Kazuma absently watched the girl as she walked all the way to the end of the road and disappeared between the buildings. He was left standing on his own, only accompanied with jumbled emotions. He took a deep breath.
'What the hell am I doing?'
Kazuma checked every pocket in his tracksuit for any kind of starting gear, money or any guide to the world he'd just teleported to.
'Nothing,' he sighed.
The mid-afternoon was trailing, and Kazuma hadn't found anything to help him at least begin his adventure.
"So much for a 'game'," he huffed, the thought bringing the Goddess back into his memory, and following that a small amount of anger mixed with guilt.
'I need to talk to her… But first I need intel.'
The most important thing at that moment was for Kazuma to understand the world he'd been brought to: The city, the Devil's army, quests, items, and jobs. His years of experience with RPGs and strategy games came back to him as he started to plan his next steps. He was being serious when he mentioned that he wanted to be 'on top,' whether that meant by becoming immensely rich, powerful or both. He'd underestimated how reputation and one's standing in society was very important in his previous life. If he wanted all the women and fame, he'd have to be known around the whole city, or even the entire country. He set off to find a 'guild' of some sort.
After a bit of wandering around, Kazuma found himself before the doors of the Adventurer Guild. He stepped inside, immediately being welcomed.
"Welcome! If you're here to eat, please take a seat anywhere; if you're here for a quest, they are on the board," the waitress smiled, "Bring one to the counter if you decide to take it."
"O-okay," Kazuma gave a half-awkward smile.
'What the hell? Am I nervous or something?'
He took another breath before continuing inside, 'If I want to do quests, I probably need to register or something first. Maybe they'll provide me with some starting gear if I do.'
He headed to the receptionist, gave the most charming smile he could muster and leaned against the desk, "Hi, I'd like to register as an adventurer."
The blonde and quite busty lady smiled back, "I see. Then in that case, you'll first need to pay the registration fee of a thousand Eris."
'Wha- Registration fee?' Kazuma began to sweat, re-checking his pockets for any money he may have missed out on, but couldn't find anything.
'So I have to earn money before I even become an adventurer? And you don't get anything to start with? What is this shit?'
"Um, you know what? I'll get right back to you," he chuckled, backing off slowly from the desk.
"Okay…" the receptionist returned a smile, a little awkwardly.
Since the boy was completely broke, couldn't register or even buy food, he decided to snoop around the guild, starting conversations with other adventurers and gaining information. By the time he'd left the building, it was already the evening, but he'd learnt a lot. Firstly, almost every city in Belzerg, the country in which the city Axel was situated, was regularly under attack by demons and monsters. There was an unknown reason as to why this specific area was spared by both parties, but it made it a great place for starter adventurers, along with the beginner level monsters the surrounded the outskirts of the city.
The young man left the Guild with his newfound knowledge, "Alright, now I need to find Aqua…Wait a second, if I started with nothing then that means she's also- Crap!"
Wherever Aqua went, she would also have no money, no place to stay the night, and he couldn't bet on the generosity of any of the citizens as they seemed very unsympathetic towards outsiders and broke people. Kazuma took off in a sprint, running down every road and alley to find the Goddess.
…
The brown-haired boy held his bent knees, panting. He wiped the sweat off his brow and stared down the empty streets, "Where the hell did she go?" he wheezed.
He had a dejected look on his face, and weakly trudged around the corner of a building, noticing a bathhouse on the opposite side of the road.
"Heh. God, I wish I could-"
His eyes widened when he saw, at the end of the bathhouse, a girl sitting on the stone steps of an outdoor bath. At this moment, the sun was setting, displaying beautiful colours that bounced and glimmered on the water. It was in complete contrast, and yet perfect symphony with her blue appearance. When she wasn't talking or insulting him, Kazuma could only observe how incredible her beauty was, despite the Goddess's solemn expression.
He slowly walked up to her, unnoticed, before standing just a couple feet from her spot.
"I told you I didn't want to see you again," she opened her eyes, and leered towards the lightly startled boy.
"How'd you know it was me?"
She looked back grumpily at her swinging legs, "The people in this town don't really stop for the impoverished."
He paused a moment before talking, "Aqua, I'm-"
"No!" she shook her head, getting up, "I don't wanna hear it."
She began to walk away from the young man.
This time he wasn't finished, "I'll kill the Devil King!"
The girl stopped, before turning around with a dirty look, "Don't pretend it's so-"
"I'm not joking." Kazuma walked towards her, "I don't know much of anything, but if there's one thing I can do, it's this."
Aqua's expression became surprised as she couldn't sense any deceit in his words; he was being genuine.
He approached closer and continued, "I'll brute force every step, every mechanic, every event! We'll send the Devil King to his grave before he even has a chance! Leave it to me!"
The Goddess' expression turned cold, "What makes you so special?"
Kazuma's confidence wavered slightly, but he looked back up to her with a simple answer:
"I'm not."
"...What?" she couldn't hide her intrigue.
"You said it yourself and... You were right. I didn't want to accept it." his face became dejected as he admitted the truth.
Aqua held her chest as he continued.
"I'm a nobody who has nothing to lose," He took another step, now only a step away from the Goddess, "So I have everything to gain, and I'll do it with you- for you."
Aqua's eyes softened, "...Why?"
He looked away with a regretful expression, "It's my fault you ended up here," he took a deep breath, "I'm s- I'm sorry."
The Goddess looked down a bit in contemplation, then back up at Kazuma. She had never been thrown in such a compromising position by anyone in her entire life, and yet her characteristic grace appeared to resurface when exposed to his regret. From this close, she could see remnants of dry blood under his nose.
"Does it hurt?"
"What?- Oh no, not really."
She reached out, touching the bridge of his nose which caused him to wince in pain.
"Liar," she pouted, intertwining her fingers and sighing, "Look… I also said some things that weren't…" she looked away with a small blush, disguised by the glow of the sunset.
"...Necessary."
"Necessary?" Kazuma deadpanned.
"I-I mean," she twiddled her thumbs, "I regret saying those things, okay?"
He scratched the back of his head, "Guess we both messed up a bit."
"You messed up more."
"Alright, I'll give you that," he cleared his throat.
The air seemed to finally calm down around the couple as they found a common ground. A more pressing issue almost immediately came up, however, as the sunset began to vanish and the autumn breeze felt colder.
Kazuma looked around, "We need to find a place to stay the night."
"We don't have any money, you know."
"Yeah, I'm working on it," the young man groaned, "There's nothing here for us, so let's move."
The duo walked around around the town area, and upon finding no dwellings that would take them in, moved out of town to the farmlands. They came across a stable near a river, and were allowed to sleep there in exchange for replacing the straw just for that night. The owner, who lived in his own separate house with his family, stressed a daily fee for any more nights they wished to stay.
After shovelling around filthy shit for around an hour, the exhausted couple collapsed onto the fresh straw, exhaling heavily.
"We're lucky we found this place."
Aqua was more shaken up, "Me...A Goddess… From her throne to this place..." she covered her forehead with the back of her hand.
"You'll have to live with it for now; we have no income."
"When does your amazing Devil King-killing plan come into play?"
"Hey, it's been two hours since I said that- Have some patience!"
"Hmmm," she hummed in doubt as she turned over away from him.
Kazuma shuffled onto his back, closing his eyes.
'I swear this girl can be more tiring than manual labour.'
"...uma..."
"...azuma!"
SLAP
"Aghk!"
"I said wake up, you lazy Hiki-NEET!"
"What was that for you damn bitch!?"
"Don't you remember?" The excited Goddess leaned down over him dramatically, "Today is the day we register to become adventurers!"
Kazuma's eyes shot open, "That's right!"
It had been just a few days since the couple made up at the bathhouse. Both Kazuma and Aqua managed to accumulate a weak, but steady income by doing labour intensive construction work. It was gruelling, and took the majority of hours every day. After they had to pay for cheap food, bathing and the rent of the stables, there was barely any money left to save up for the beginner equipment they needed. Fortunately though, the cost for registration quite low, so they quickly worked up enough to afford it and set off to the adventurer's guild.
Kazuma watched his partner skipping ahead, humming along the road.
"Look who's in a good mood."
"Hmm? Well, it's just that all that work we did is finally going into this!" she beamed a smile back towards him, which he couldn't help but reciprocate.
"Huh...And I thought you hated this place."
"Sh-shut up!" she lightly blushed before charging ahead.
Once the duo made it to the Adventurer Guild, Aqua confidently marched up to the desk, slamming four hard-earned golden coins down.
"We've brought the registration fee; we'd like to become adventurers!"
The blonde lady smiled, "Of course."
…
The receptionist stood before a strange mechanism with two cards in her hand.
"Allow me to formally explain the process. Every adventurer has a job, or 'class'," she displayed the cards, "This is your registration card. It will track how many monsters you've killed, and display your level. As you level up, you'll earn points that you can use to learn skills."
'Wow, this is the first time this world has felt anything like an RPG game,' Kazuma internally groaned.
"Now, please hold your hand over this crystal."
Kazuma went first. Just a second after he hovered his palm above the gem, it glowed and the entire mechanism started to move.
"Whoa…"
Tiny particles of light concentrated toward the bottom of the machine, eventually shooting a beam of light that wrote over Kazuma's card.
"This will calculate your current status; it's best to choose a job that matches your stats."
'Here it comes! Surely these last few days of hard work will account for something!'
The lady picked up the card, "Kazuma-san, Let's see…"
The young adventurer couldn't help but get excited-
"Average."
"Huh?"
"All average across the board, except for your decently high intelligence and….Oh, your luck is extraordinarily high!"
"I-Is that good then?" the young man was clutching onto any straws he had left.
"Well, luck isn't a very essential stat for an adventurer…"
"And?"
"Um… With this amount of luck, I'd recommend becoming a merchant or banker!"
...
"The average adventurer class please," Kazuma mumbled.
Looking behind at his giggling partner, he deadpanned.
"The hell you laughing at?"
"Nothing, Averagezuma."
"Are you looking for a smack?"
…
It was Aqua's turn now.
The receptionist read the card out of the machine, exclaiming upon double checking the stats.
"A-Aside from your below average intelligence and terrible luck, all your stats are drastically above average!"
"What? Does that mean something good?"
"That'd be an understatement! Other than the mage class, you can be anything you want: Crusader, Swordmaster, Archpriest; you can skip to any advanced class!"
Aqua smiled at the proposition, giving a cocky look to Averagezuma behind her- leading to a vein popping on his forehead.
"Let's see, the role that best suits me would definitely be Archpriest!"
The lady chimed in, "An almighty class that commands all recovery and support magic!"
The entire guild erupted in cheers, a crowd of people circled and congratulated the new adventurer.
"They were hopeless until now!"
"Now them two are a real party!"
"Compared to the other guy, this one's on another level!"
Why am I getting passively insulted here?,' Kazuma's eyes looked around blankly.
The Goddess couldn't help but wave at the rabble of supporters before pointing at Kazuma, "This is the beginning of our adventuring lives!"
The slightly upset Kazuma couldn't resist smiling at the excited Goddess.
Well, saying that, what followed was a month of constant and exhausting work for the two 'adventurers'. Despite getting their cards, they lacked any and all equipment to actually go on even the simplest kill quest and spent almost all their time back at the construction and mining sites. From all the manual labour, Kazuma did manage to grow a little muscle, but it came slowly off of the nutrients of stale bread and river water three times a day. Other factors came in to play as well. Kazuma was sick of waking up next to horseshit, so they bought a large blanket to go over the straw, and when winter approached, another two to go on themselves. They were finding difficulty saving money, and with the weather becoming colder, it was increasingly difficult to sleep in the stables. It bothered Kazuma, but it affected Aqua way more; she absolutely hated the cold and the poor living conditions were starting to take a toll on her.
It was the late evening, and the worn out 'adventurers' trudged along the dirt pathway, littered with snow, towards the stables. Aqua was shivering in her exposed dress, and Kazuma rubbed her shoulders as they progressed.
"D-D-Damn this c-cold!" the angry Goddess trembled, holding her elbows and huffing vapour into the cold air.
"You have to bear with it a little longer," Kazuma was slightly concerned for her well-being, though he'd never admit it, "Why are you so cold-blooded?"
"W-Water looks the-the most b-beautiful in the light of the s-s-sun."
"Wow, that was quite poetic; it would've been perfect if you weren't quivering so much."
"Th-This is horrible," her eyes began to well with tears, "I h-h-hate this!"
'Aqua's excitement and energy has been decreasing lately. If something doesn't happen soon, There's a chance she'll completely lose it.'
And it wasn't just her either, the young man was definitely feeling the frost, but it was more tolerable for him.
"I c-can't take this!" the girl cried, before running up the path to the stables.
"Hey! Don't run in the snow!"
The unsuspecting Goddess slipped on a frozen puddle and fell straight into a stream of water.
She jumped out, "AAAH, C-C-C-COLD!"
…
Back at the stables, if Aqua wasn't already doing badly, she was now violently shaking next to Kazuma even while completely cocooned in her blanket. He could tell she was struggling despite the limited vision in the darkness from the vibration of her movement on the other side.
"Aqua, you sure you're okay?"
"I-I'm f-f-fine!"
"There's nothing wrong with going to the bathhouse-"
"N-No!" she exclaimed, "We c-c-can't waste money l-like that."
"You won't be able to live to spend it if you freeze to death."
She stayed silent.
Kazuma sighed in frustration, 'This idiot's gonna get herself hypothermia or something.'
"Oi," he poked the Goddess' back.
She turned to face him, trying her best to look as composed as possible- which just made her look even more ridiculous.
The young man paused a second before opening his own blanket-cocoon and beckoning her toward him.
"Come here."
Aqua's eyes widened when she realised what he was insinuating, before going on a full protest.
"N-N-No way I'm s-sleeping with you, Kreepyzuma!"
His forehead vein popped once again, "Just shut up and come here you stubborn Goddess!"
"No w-way, never!"
He clicked his tongue, "Have it your way," Kazuma huffed, turning back around.
At this temperature, even he was finding it difficult to sleep in those conditions. The stables were pretty shoddy, so the cold air basically flowed freely inside and barely sheltered the couple. He wrapped his blanket tight around himself and clenched his eyes shut.
…
Minutes passed, and Kazuma could hear the stuttering breathes of Aqua in the silence of the night.
…
More minutes passed, and now there were small whimpers from the other side of the blanket.
…
After almost an hour, Kazuma's breathing found a nice pattern, and he actually felt himself beginning to drift off, but as soon as he was about to fall into slumber, an annoying feeling came to him. It was Aqua poking him in the back.
"Hm? What?"
No response. She then tugged lightly against his blanket, and the realisation hit him. He spun back around to face the Goddess, still shivering, and with a deep blush on her face; something he couldn't really see in the dark. He sighed.
'If you were that cold, why didn't you come earlier you stupid Goddess?'
He opened his covers once again, and Aqua hesitated.
"I'm not leaving it open forever, you know?"
The embarrassed girl clenched her eyes and quickly shifted across the 'bed' until she was right beside Kazuma, close enough so that he could drape his blanket over her. After a few seconds, she opened her own cocoon and covered her partner as well, out of fairness.
Now that they were both double-layered and their body heat were working in unison, their warmth drastically increased. Since they didn't have too much money, the blankets they got were small, meaning that they had to get quite close to each other.
Kazuma could feel her chittery sigh of relief just an inch from his face, and being a guy with zero experience with girls, he couldn't help his heart from beating faster.
Kazuma wiped his slightly sweaty hands on his tracksuit, 'Why the hell am I getting nervous?'
Even if it was the first time he ever slept properly with a girl, it was still Aqua. Come on, Aqua. Kazuma used this logic to calm his conscience. He closed his eyes and just tried to fall asleep, but kept getting distracted by her breathing, and more annoyingly, her still shaking hands.
He wasn't gonna get any rest at this rate, and his patience had run out. He reached out, barely glimpsing a touch of the girl's hands before they were immediately recoiled back to her chest with a slight gasp.
His eyes widened, 'She's ice cold.'
Aqua was already uncomfortable in this position, and a part of her was wary of Kazuma. He was a young virgin who could lose all reason in this position and try and do something to her. To his credit, everything up until this point was justified, but an instinctual impulse put her on edge.
On the other hand, literally, Kazuma's felt so damn warm. She wouldn't admit how nice it felt in that split second of time, and was actually angry at how cosy he was when they were in the exact same conditions. The Goddess closed her eyes, but couldn't get the thought of being comforted by those hands out of her head.
The young man was surprised to feel a small sinking in his stomach when he was denied by the Goddess. It felt similar to a rejection, which seemed to bring an old memory back. The childhood friend. He scoffed lightly at the pettiness of the thought.
'Come on Kazuma, you're better than that. Just get some sleep.'
With a clean conscience once again, the adventurer began to fall into a snooze for the second time-
"Wha-"
Kazuma was caught off guard as Aqua's chilly hands pushed their way between his palms. After the initial surprise, he could only sigh at the Goddess' unnecessary pride.
He placed her hands in between his own, before rubbing them slowly and snugly, causing her to exhale in comfort. After a minute of that, he brought it up to his face, blew into her palms, then massaged it in dramatically, leading to a small giggle.
He then did it for her other hand, then the back of the first, then the back of the second, until for the next few minutes they began to play around with the hand warming game, competing in the Hand Olympics: Any position, activity, and motion was explored as they messed around, a few chuckles here and there. Something that the couple would never dream of doing, in this moment, in the complete darkness and without saying a word to one another, they were frolicking under the covers like idiots. So much so, Aqua's foot incidentally skimmed against Kazuma's. It was colder than her hands were, so of course, the young man reached down grabbed her foot abruptly.
"K-Kazuma!" the Goddess gasped, before feeling his warm hands doing their work again.
She gave a strange-sounding moan, causing Kazuma to quietly laugh, earning him a bonk on head. In retaliation, he held her ankle with his left hand, and starting tickling her sole with his right. Something Aqua had never told her partner was that she was very ticklish, and it sent her into muffled hysterics.
She covered her mouth, trying to stifle her giggles as much as she could, "(Kazuma! S-Stop! Stop-Hahaha!)"
…
After minutes of tickle fighting, the duo were left panting, snickering, but very much warm from head to toe. Kazuma could finally call it a night and hoped he cured her miserable mood from the last few weeks.
That was until she shifted closer to him.
'Is... Is she still cold?'
She shifted closer, now literally a millimetre from his face. He could feel her baggy pyjamas across his chest to his legs, and he was basically inhaling everything she exhaled. The radiating heat from her body was seriously testing his self-control. He clenched his fists tightly, as the butterflies returned back into his stomach in droves.
He seriously didn't know if was able to take this kind of position. He kept imagining Aqua's plump thighs, ass and even her breasts that were just in front of him, but he didn't want to ruin the trust he built with her, considering how distanced she was initially.
He didn't want the feeling to go, but he relented, "A-Aqua I-"
"Shhhhh," a finger silenced his lips.
The girl may be an idiot sometimes, but she was no fool here. She knew the young teenager was at the end of his wits; actually, she could see him the whole time as she had night vision, and observing how hard he was trying to restrain himself was quite funny, but appreciated.
…
Just this time; just this time, for what he did for her, she'd give the young virgin a little treat. Before he could do anything, she dove in, completely sealing their bodies together.
"Wha-"
The young man's heart basically froze for an entire second, as he experienced the best comfort he'd ever felt in his entire two lives. The Goddess held him in a close and snug embrace, tangled her legs with his- giving him plenty of her thighs, squished her belly and breasts into his chest, and ducked her head into his neck, taking deep and embarrassed breaths down his shirt.
The poor boy's head was in smoke; so many pointers, ideas, assumptions came to him for what to do next. Everything he could've dreamed of in that moment, but never expected, was given to him, and he didn't know how many times he could double his money. However, before he had a chance to try, he was given a stern warning.
"If you try anything, you're sleeping on your own," Aqua coldly established.
That gave all the information he needed. He slowed down his racing heart and gradually returned the embrace, with no resistance from his partner. He could feel her elevated heart beats as well, which gave him the idea she hadn't really done things like this before either.
Whatever was true, he needed to get some sleep. Distracting himself by playing with a tuft of her surprisingly soft hair, he finally fell into the most comfortable slumber of his lifetime.
Beams of sun penetrated through the cracks of the stables, landing directly on Kazuma's face. After a minute of stirring, he finally woke up. Looking around, he noticed how heavy his eyelids were; he'd never had such a deep sleep before. From the position of the sun through the floorboards- or ceilingboards?- he could presume it was already around 11:00.
'We slept till that late?'
He shifted to get up, not noticing he was still completely melded together with Aqua.
'Oh, shit!'
He'd become so comfortable in her embrace that he ironically could barely feel her. Lifting his arms, Kazuma saw the Goddess still clinging onto his torso and her legs wrapped up in his own, almost like how a snake would suffocate its prey.
He gently poked her cheek, "Hey, wake up."
Her eyebrows furrowed, groaning slightly.
He kept poking, "Oi, we're gonna be late for work."
"Mmm!" She moaned in protest.
'Does this idiot not know she's still holding me? Well, I guess the same went for me.'
He reached around to his back, trying to loosen her arms, but she had a vice-like grip on him.
Kazuma threw the sheets off, exposing both of them to the cold air, "Come on, get off me!"
She shrunk into his chest in reaction to the cold, before her eyes finally fluttered open.
She had a satisfied smile on her face, "Mmmmm, hm?"
She looked up to see Kazuma looking at her with a dead expression, "Can you get off me now?"
"Huh?" she looked back down to see herself completely wrapped around Kazuma.
"O-Oh!" She quickly jumped off him with a quite obvious blush. She checked her own body out just to make sure nothing happened to her.
He deadpanned, 'If I was gonna make a move on you, I would've done it ages ago.'
"How are you feeling?"
"A-about what?" she looked at him, re-checking her body.
"No, not- I mean are you doing okay now!?" Kazuma covered his eyes in embarrassment.
She paused for a few moments before looking at her hands.
A smile appeared on her face, "Yeah, I'm okay."
"That's good then," he was glad that she was in a much better mood, "Hey, we worked really hard this month and so I think we should treat ourselves tonight."
"But-"
"Don't worry, I planned it in our original budget," he smiled at her, "Let's work hard and then enjoy some drinks tonight!"
She stood up, "Alright!"
…
After the working day was over, Kazuma and Aqua could finally enjoy a hearty meal at the guild, even with enough to spare for a few drinks of beer. Aqua devoured one of her mugs almost immediately, exhaling with a shout of satisfaction. Kazuma could only chuckle in response.
"See Kazuma? This is what we should be doing every day!" Aqua complained, a tiny bit drunk.
Kazuma sighed in agreement, "I didn't think we'd struggle this much to start off with. I guess having one of those powerful items or abilities would have any of your adventurers skipping this stage."
Aqua raised an eyebrow, "Hmmm? What's that supposed to mean? Are you saying I'm useless? Just a waste of space? hic*"
"No, I didn't say that- Wait, you finished both your drinks already!?"
"Kazumaaa~," she moaned angrily, slurring a bit, "I'll have you know I'm an Archpriest! I'm a healer! I should be helping slay monsters, dragons and kill the Devil King!"
"Alright, I get it; keep your voice down you drunk Goddess! We just need more time-"
"No, I can't keep doing this!" Aqua's memories came back to the stale bread and cold stables, "We need to go now!"
"The hell do you want me to do? Strangle a giant frog to death!?"
During Kazuma and Aqua's bickering, a tall figure from a nearby table stood up and approached the two.
"-You'll be buffed!"
"That's not how it works-"
"I'll make it work! Just go!"
"Go where? To my grave?-"
"Excuse my intrusion," a soft and mature voice called out, leading to both the adventurers facing its direction.
"I might have a solution to your problem."
…
Kazuma and Aqua sat opposite the visitor to their table. He was a tall, refined and charming man who looked to be in his late-twenties with a pony tail and sported upper-class dressings, contrasting the roughly clothed adventurers of the guild. His smile and demeanour looked very friendly and impressionable.
"My name is Joshua Sterling," the man stated, "I have an interesting proposition that might find itself beneficial to both of you adventurers."
Kazuma shrugged, smiling, "As nice as that sounds, we honestly can't even afford starting gear, let alone a proposition which is probably well above our budget-"
"Not at all," the fair man leaned in, "I work specifically with individuals such as yourselves who may need help to jump-start their adventure."
"You mean... You fund new and struggling adventurers to help them gain a stable income?"
Joshua tilted his head slightly, "Something along those lines."
Kazuma's eyes lightly squinted, 'This man is surprisingly shrewd; he must've overheard what we were talking about earlier.'
"What's in it for you?"
He presented his hands, "Of course, I'm not giving away free money. Should the both of you succeed and secure your finances, you can slowly pay back the borrowed amount on prior agreed terms."
Kazuma scratched his chin, "So you essentially provide loans for gear?"
The man interlocked his fingers, resting his elbows on the table, "Precisely."
Kazuma thought for a few moments at the pretty decent offer before he realised a problem, "What if, let's say: some adventurers borrow your money and all their quests are a bust, so they're unable to pay you back, or they run away with the money?"
The man sat upright again, "Then it's my loss."
"...Huh?"
"I play a gamble on these adventurers. As I said; only once they have succeeded and can repay the debt beyond a reasonable doubt- should I receive any money. I take some interest, and that's my profit."
"That seems like a pretty big risk."
The man leaned into his hand, an almost unsettling smile on his otherwise alluring appearance, "I believe you two to be worth the risk."
Kazuma's opinion on the gentleman as quite astute was somewhat stepped back. He definitely seemed to know what he was talking about, but his offer felt very one-sided in favour of Aqua and Kazuma and barely an offer at all. It seemed more like a gamble; even he said it himself. Kazuma was concerned that it might be a plot of some kind that could place him and Aqua in a terrible position, as dire as it already was. At the same time, however, it seemed like one of the best ways to get out of their miserable position.
Kazuma sat there for a good few seconds in silence, before Aqua shook him out of it.
"Kazuma, Kazuma! Shouldn't we take the deal? This can be our start; We have nothing to lose!"
Even if it was a bit dodgy, he was almost forced to go for it, otherwise both the adventurers could suffer the whole winter in their crappy situation.
"One last thing," Kazuma began, "Is there any proof?"
"Proof?" the man returned.
"Of this agreement."
"Oh, of course," he pulled a folded piece of paper out of his maroon blazer and presented it onto the table.
It was a generic agreement; a will almost, stating the exact same facts the proposer had previously stated, with a stamp of a familiar symbol in the corner.
"If you hand it to the front desk, they will be able to confirm its legitimacy for you."
Kazuma looked back at the well-dressed individual, "No need. I don't think someone as shrewd as you would waste time with forged documents."
Joshua's expression changed, as if he confirmed a hunch that he had, "So, does that mean?-"
"Yes, we accept the agreement."
...
After the finer details and terms were fully established and in writing, Joshua willingly handed the funds to the two adventurers and they almost immediately set out to buy their needed gear. Kazuma bought a relatively unimpressive dagger with a holder and belt to go with it. Aqua got herself a white staff with what looked like a pink flower bud on the end. When she cast magic, it would expand and bloom, and through some unexplained means, likely one of her Goddess abilities, she could also summon it out of thin air.
Since it was coming to the late evening and both the adventurers had just been out drinking, they would begin their kill quest the next day once they sobered up and had enough rest. The only problem was the fear that built up within the young man.
'Man, I don't know if it's excitement or fear, but I can't sleep.'
Kazuma was fidgeting under his blanket. The next day he'd have to kill monsters. Kill them. The 'easiest' ones to go for at their level were the giant frogs, but since it was coming to mid-winter, they were all in hibernation. The succeeding level up from them were unicorn bunnies, but they were actually more dangerous in numbers than white wolves, the probable next target. Regardless, if Kazuma died in this world, he didn't even know what would happen to him.
He looked to his left, the feint moonlight glow through the shoddy stables shone beautifully onto Aqua's light blue hair, and gave enough vision for Kazuma to barely see her. She seemed to be sound asleep. Even though she was prone to getting scared and panicking, her sheer belief and optimism lead her forward, no matter how steep the slope was ahead of her. Kazuma didn't know if it came from a general positive outlook, or just sheer idiocy; maybe both.
He smiled lightly, "Guess there's some things we both can learn from each other."
"Hm? Did you say something?" Aqua shuffled around when she heard the young man's voice.
"Oh, uh, Noth- It was nothing. I didn't know you were still up," the adventurer looked back to the ceiling to avoid her gaze.
...
"Kazuma...Are you okay?"
'Geez, even she can tell.'
He paused for a few seconds, "Can I ask you something?"
He usually wouldn't ask of anything from her; it gave her the impression it was important.
"Sure."
"If I were to die… What would happen to me?"
Aqua was a little surprised to hear this from him, even if he could be a little gloomy at times.
She wouldn't beat around the bush, "If you died, that would be it."
Even though the young man expected those words, receiving them was a different thing.
"After this world, there isn't any more reincarnation, heaven or anything."
"Yeah…" his hands clenched in cold sweat. If he died, that was it. Gone, forever.
He closed his eyes tight, but it seemed the harder he tried to fall asleep, the faster his heart began to race, and the more he thought about it. His female partner could hear his irregular breathing, and became a little concerned for her partner. Shuffling emanated to his left, as a presence came closer and closer, before going under his blanket and lying right beside him. She layered her blanket on top of him, so that they were doubled up like the night before.
...
"Kazuma," Aqua called out beside him, her voice just an inch away, "I know how hard you're trying to make things work out for us. It's why you're always overthinking every step."
His eyes opened in surprise. She had been paying more attention to him than he ever would've thought.
"I know you don't really show your fears with me because you want to look dependable and strong," he felt a hand reach and open his tense fist, spreading open his palm, before being firmly held, "But if you try to contain all your worries, it'll start eating you from the inside."
She made a prideful face, "I hope you didn't forget I am a Goddess, you know. If something happens, I'll be able to support you. I'm an Archpriest after all."
Kazuma took a deep breath. A heavy weight he didn't even know he was bearing seemed to have lifted from his chest, the air felt lighter, and he could relax his breathing. Aqua had displayed a quality of herself that very few had ever truly experienced, something even she was unaware she had: compassion.
The young man could finally calm his thoughts and ease himself for the night. The added benefit of Aqua's warmth was also much appreciated, but it was probably for mutual benefit. Aqua's hand was so comforting in the moment that Kazuma had no intention of letting go, as if he wasn't already so accustomed to it. She didn't show any signs of wanting break the bond, so they kept on until they fell fast asleep.
The couple spent the next morning planning their approach and then arrived at the guild hall to take out a kill quest for five white wolves with a three day limit. At this point in time, Kazuma had no real abilities, but Aqua, being an Archpriest and a Water Goddess, started off with some foundation spells: Create Water, Heal, Purification and Turn Undead. With no real attacks, her job was to distract the wolves at a safe distance, but mainly to heal and support Kazuma. He needed to stand his ground against the wolves, as apparently they were more dangerous in a chase.
After a lot of meticulous planning, it was finally time. They left the city walls in the overcast mid-day, probably just a few degrees above freezing. The two adventurers cloaked themselves in the same blankets they used to sleep with, and walked through the thin layers of snow until they reached the edge of the forest.
Kazuma looked up to the trees, breathing a sigh of vapour, before looking towards the Goddess.
"Stay close."
She smiled slightly, holding up her staff, "I'm right behind you."
The leaves were mostly gone from any of the trees, providing room for plenty of daylight to kept a clear view for the adventurers, however the large amount of trees in all directions around them also could hide the presence of any kind of monster. Kazuma had his right hand gripping the hilt of his dagger, darting his eyes around the area. Aqua trailed only a few feet behind him, her staff held upright and ready in both hands. They slowly walked through the cold forest; the only sounds they could hear were the rustling trees, their crunchy footsteps and their bated breaths.
…
The minutes turned into almost two hours as the couple continued to slowly walk through the trees. They approached a small opening in the forest, a small hill in the ground without any trees or bushes around, just a circular bump covered in snow.
"Damn, where the hell are these things?" Kazuma sighed a mist of air, looking back at his partner.
She looked pretty tired. Nobody had really mentioned that finding the actual kills for a kill quest can be a long process, some actually taking days or even weeks. The snow was the real problem; the adventurers weren't properly kitted for the winter and it was starting to affect them.
"W-Why didn't we buy winter clothing?" Aqua shivered slightly.
"That stuff was expensive as hell; if we got it we'd be in a large debt," Kazuma touched the hardened bedding around him, "This stuff was actually working nicely, but the cold's made it stiff."
The Goddess breathed into her hands which were lightly trembling. Kazuma, through familiarity, came over to her and rubbed them between his palms as he was used to at this point. She sighed in relief, and grew a tiny blush- indistinguishable from her already reddened cheeks and nose.
After warming her hands up enough, Kazuma looked up to find her giving a genuine smile. A smile that almost immediately morphed into worry and fear. Her whole body tensed and her eyes looked beyond him in trepidation.
Her lips trembled as she pointed past the young man, "K-KAZUMA! BEHIND!"
Grooowl!
A loud and fear-inducing snarl emanated behind Kazuma, followed by quick approaching steps, then a sudden burst of speed that triggered his spinal reflex; he grabbed his dagger, and as he turned, he swung the blade horizontally, striking the animal flush on its snout and sending it barrelling past him, the force of the pounce throwing the young man onto his back.
With his adrenaline pumping, the adventurer jumped back up in an instant, grabbing his blade from the ground to come face-to-face with the aggressor; a bloody-mouthed white wolf, seemingly uninhibited by the gash in its muzzle that continuously bled.
The boy peered behind him to check on his partner. Aqua returned him a worried but unharmed impression, as his eyes drifted to his surroundings. On the edges of the clearing, more growling noises appeared from around the trees, pairs of crimson red eyes that stared at the two adventurers from all angles. Kazuma couldn't focus on them too much, occupied with the more immediate threat in front of him.
The wolf had remained in a crouched position as if it were about to lunge again, leaving Kazuma in anticipation, but didn't move an inch.
'The hell is it waiting for?'
"Kazuma!" Aqua's voice sounded behind him.
The young man could feel the presence of more threats closing in around the two; this creature was baiting his attention as the others closed in on the Goddess.
Tch! 'It's holding up my attention while the others surround Aqua. I don't have time to wait; I have to fight!'
Kazuma took a firm step forward towards the beast which snarled back at him in response. The young adventurer ignored it's remark and continued forward in a stance ready to slash the white wolf again. The creature backed up sluggishly, likely from the blood loss, which sprung Kazuma into action at the small opening.
He leapt forward, holding his dagger high and to the left, before delivering a wide and powerful whip of his blade in the direction of the wild animal's head- initially dodged but the rest of its body couldn't evade in time, leaving its torso exposed. His knife cut deep into the wolf's hide across its back, and on exit, severed off the end of its tail for good measure. The beast yelped in pain, dancing backwards in hysteria as the gore poured from it's head and back.
GROOOOWL
"K-Kazuma…" Aqua's eyes widened as she looked around.
A large assortment of monstrous noises surrounded Kazuma as he turned to see a school of wolves that tracked into the clearing from the forest edge. There must have at least been ten of them, leading to a depressed sigh from the young man; he had really ended up in the worst situation.
The circle of wild animals continually became smaller as the two adventurers watched the terrible environment around them worsen. The injured wolf by this point was laid down in the middle of the clearing, on the small hill, wheezing as it's blood coloured the snow around it. One down, but a dozen more left alive, many of which crouched as if they were about jump the adventurers at any point.
Kazuma's head was running a million thoughts at once. He clenched his hand around his stained dagger as he felt his back touch Aqua's, a gasp of tension escaping her.
Kazuma clenched his teeth, "Aqua…"
Kazuma was thinking of the right words to say. After all his talk and promises, he hadn't gotten the two out of their shitty circumstances in any way. The poverty, hard work, crappy food and freezing winter was insufferable, but Aqua stayed with him. She didn't leave or complain- too much at least, with the hope that he'd turn things around for them and finally bring them out of their depressing position in this world.
...
'I should apologise to her...'
…
'No… Fuck this. When am I gonna finally step up and be more than a loser? We're not gonna die here. I'm too pissed to die right now. We're gonna make it out.'
"Aqua!" Kazuma gripped the Goddess' hand without even peering behind him, the gasp of response enough for him to understand she was listening, "I'm gonna take them one at a time."
"H-How?-"
"I'll figure something out! If any of them get too close to you, blast them with water!"
Aqua didn't have enough time to protest, be upset, or cry. In this life or death situation, she simply gripped Kazuma's hand back, the intent behind it fully understood by her partner. They let go of each other and prepared for the onslaught.
The pack of wolves were now in reaching distance for Kazuma's dagger, and he immediately started to swing at the beasts. They swiftly backed away before he could reach them, but he purposely avoided attacking a singular wolf to lure it closer to him as he attacked the others. Now just a metre from the boy, the animal dived towards him as he seemed preoccupied-
"Gotcha!"
STAB
Before the creature could react, Kazuma spun to his left, ducked beneath it's claws and teeth, before plunging his dagger deep into it's guts, twisting once fully inserted. The wild animal howled in pain, but Kazuma shoved it off his blade. The bleeding animal, as good as dead, collapsed in front of its peers, leaving them immobilised.
Kazuma noticed their reaction; it gave him a spark of hope, 'Of course… I might not need to kill them all. If enough of them die, the rest should run. We can do this. We can survive!'
Unfortunately, the snarling expressions of the rest of the pack members contradicted that hope. In this world of magic and monsters, one can forget that the norm of the place they came from can be completely different.
"Goddammit..." he clenched his teeth.
A yelp of fear made the young man peer behind to see the wolves clawing at the Goddess.
"Create water!"
A jet of fluid shot from Aqua's staff, blasting one of the beasts to the ground. It writhed in the ice-cold water as the snow around it melted, and the young man sparked up at the opportunity-
"Switch places!"
The duo swapped their position within a second. Kazuma pounced on the grounded wolf, thrusting the dagger though its neck, severing the windpipe; a sudden burst of crimson fluid poured out the fatal wound. He stood up- only to be immediately tossed onto the ground by another.
"Fuck!"
"Kazuma!- Agh!"
The Goddess could barely react to Kazuma's situation as she was bitten on the leg. The strength of the wolf's jaw was immense, and by pure reflex, she dealt a strong punch to the side of its head to rip her leg free out of the large teeth.
"Ahh!" she held her leg, pulsing with pain, uttering the heal spell through her tears, leading it to glow slightly, and almost completely stop bleeding-
CRUNCH
"FUUUCKAAGHH!" Kazuma wailed in gibberish as his forearm was completely bit into by the beast on top of him. He grabbed his knife with his right hand, and with all the power the Gods could give him, he forced in straight in the eye of the white monster, piercing through to the brain. Blood of both parties splattered all over him- even into his mouth- as the beast screamed, slowly relented and collapsed beside him.
The weakened warrior could barely get himself to stand up. The world around him began to feel echoey, his head felt light, but the distant voice of someone nearby brought a burst of energy as if he was injected with adrenaline. His arm glowed as a large amount of blood receded back inside; he felt his bones crackling as they lined back together. The pain was muted but still very much present.
He slowly rose to his feet, still facing another four enemies in front of him.
'Shit… I don't think I… Did Aqua…?'
Kazuma quickly looked behind him to see the healer facing him, tears in her eyes, and a tiny sigh of relief to see him somewhat recovered. Kazuma, however, could only scream her name in horror as the three beasts behind her, enraged, all leapt towards the Goddess at the same time.
"WATCH OUT!" Kazuma shoved his partner away from the storming monsters-
THUMP
The impact of the attack threw the young man to the floor in daze. As the bigger threat, the rage-induced pack all grabbed a limb and began-
MUNCH
"AAAGGH!"
-gnawing every inch of Kazuma's body. His polymer tracksuit barely protected his limbs, each with a sharp set of teeth sunken inside with crushing pressure.
Aqua laid backwards on the snow, shaking, not from the cold, but from the sight of her partner screaming and squirming in the snow. The fear paralysed her; she felt helpless. Her whimpers barely escaped her chattering mouth.
"Ka..Kazu-"
'Kazuma is… Kazuma's gonna… No, No! I won't let it happen!'
The Goddess snapped back to her senses, and without any time to think, charged towards the rest of the pack with her staff.
"GET OFF HIM YOU BASTARDS-"
BOOOM
Aqua stopped in her tracks as the ground of the whole clearing shook violently. A wave of snow erupted into the air, and threw the Goddess back down onto her ass.
...
"Mmmm. Mmmm! Mmmph….! PAH!" Aqua dug herself out of a pile of snow, stumbling onto her feet, then immediately crouching from her injured ankle.
"What happened-"
Plof
Something fell to the ground behind Aqua's peripheral vision, leading her to slowly peer behind, noticing a dent in the snow.
"...Kazuma?" the Goddess called out, cautiously approaching the cavity.
At the point of standing completely over it, she could make out the outline of… a wolf!-
"Shit!" she gasped, taking a few steps back.
Her exclamation woke the animal; it's eyes shot open and it leapt out of the ditch, then jumped again, diving towards the adventurer. She tensed up; there wasn't enough time to chant a spell or move out the way of the oncoming beast-
THWACK
"...Huh?"
Wide-eyed and delirious, the Goddess saw a wet, sticky tentacle wrap around the animal's torso whilst mid-air, then tear it away at lightning speed. Her gaze followed the lifeless beast as it flew to the center of the clearing and in the middle of a huge pit, a giant green frog opened its mouth and swallowed it completely whole. The massive beast- in an enraged state- bellowed a nasty screech that echoed throughout the whole valley. The rest of the pack rummaged from the snow, shaking it off, before snarling at the frog in unison.
In the retaliation, they ignored Aqua, charging straight for their biggest threat, clawing and biting at the frog's legs as it pranced around attempting eat them or flatten them with its weight.
Aqua stared in disbelief, 'Where did?-' she shook her head, 'I need to find Kazuma!'
"Kazuma, Kazuma!" she called out, scanning the area for her partner, flashbacks of the wolves ripping him and his clothes to shreds brought a chilling terror down her spine; the images replayed in her mind as she feared the state of his wellbeing.
…
Blurry, echoey and hurt. Kazuma could barely grasp feeling in his body, but at the same time sensed excruciating pain and the flow of his own blood through his vessels and out his wounds. The warmth of the bleeding contrasted the cold bite of the snow he laid on. Any movement he made followed with a torrent of agony and regret; there wasn't anything left that he could do. The light of the white sky above him seemed to fade darker as time passed.
'Oh… man…. After all that…. I think, at least, it'll finally be over… For real this time.'
He began to close his eyes.
'I'm sorry, Aqua-'
KAZUMA!
The voice reverberated throughout the young man's body, the worry, the fear, the urgency. His partner needed him. Aqua needed him!-
'...The hell am I apologising for?... This isn't about me or my peace, I promised her something. What am I doing- lying here? I'm not done. I'm not done yet!'
The light continued to come back to his eyes as his vision cleared, his limbs came back to life, his heart started beating faster and harder. The plain white sky came into view, and so did the face of a teary-eyed girl.
"Ah...Aqua..? Goddess?"
"Kazuma!? Are you awake?"
He felt a pair of soft hands cup his cheeks… Speaking of which-
"Lap pillow? You're giving me a lap pillow?"
Her drained eyes flowed again with happiness, "That's not important you idiot- I thought you died!"
The Goddess leaned down, gently bumping her forehead with her partner, "Don't scare me again, please."
He snickered lightly, "I'll try."
Kazuma began to slowly get up, looking at his wrecked apparel.
"Holy shit."
The wounds that were inflicted upon him looked to be in advanced stages of healing; they still kinda hurt like hell, but almost all his blood was back in his system, and he could more or less move about the same. His eyes looked back to the center of the clearing and widened at the appearance of the monstrous green frog.
Still fighting the wolves, it leapt in the air before landing directly onto one, creating a nasty splattering noise. Upon jumping away, Kazuma saw the mushed remains of a barely identifiable creature.
"Where the hell did this frog come from?"
His eyes drifted towards the large cavity left after the explosion.
'The frog was... Underground in hibernation…! It jumped out after we made a commotion and that's what threw everything in the air.'
"Son of a bitch… Aqua!" Kazuma faced the startled Goddess while pointing at the battle between the monsters, "We could get outta here, but look at them! If we ran away now we'd just have to come back to do this all again, and right now I'm favouring our chances. We could use the distraction to finish everything off!"
Aqua paused for a moment. A part of her liked their safety, coming back to town and retrying another time, but they would just come back to their shitty situation. Now was the time to beat these monsters, level up, and become stronger!
"Okay, I'll follow you!"
Kazuma nodded, and quickly tried to come up with a game plan.
He peered towards the battle, then back to his partner, "It looks like the frog's gonna win, so we should help the wolves for now and finish off what's left."
Aqua nodded back to him quickly.
"Also, if you see it looking at you, run parallel from it; it's stomach's full of acid."
And it wasn't just normal stomach acid; it would immediately dissolve any organic thing right down to the bone- actually even their bones could break down after enough time. It made Kazuma seriously suspect if wolves were easier or harder than a giant frog.
"Alright, lets go!"
Coming onto the scene, there was only three-
THWACK
-two wolves left. The frog itself had very damaged legs, scratched all over and some chunks missing, literally bitten off by the other beasts. Kazuma approached from behind, landing a sneak attack and cleaving the back of the frog's left leg with a large swipe of his dagger. The hide and insides were so thick that it took a serious amount of strength just to follow through and pull the dagger out.
"Damn this thing's- Oh shit!"
BOOM
Kazuma barely dived out of the way from the toad's body slam after having jumped almost fifty feet in the air. He gathered himself quickly, but-
THWACK
Another wolf was taken, "Damn, these wolves can't deal with this thing huh?"
Kazuma looked up towards the frog's bulging and large eyes, and smirked. As the giant monster was occupied with the last wolf, Kazuma snuck behind and ran up its back as fast as he could. Reaching the nape of its neck, the frog dispatched the last wolf with a solid step to its cranium, crushing and spraying brain matter all over the snow. As Kazuma reached higher, it became more steep; he could barely prevent himself from sliding down it's nasty, slippery back. Before falling back down, he reached out as far as he could, nailing his dagger directly into the monster's eye.
On impact, the monster screeched loudly, thrashing in all sorts of directions. Kazuma tried to stay tethered onto its rear, using his blade as an anchor. He continued to climb until he was right on top of the monster's head. The other eye was right there! After taking that out too, the frog would be as good as dead. The adventurer pulled his blade out the frog's eye, but as soon as he did, the monster leaned its head back and opened it's mouth as wide as it could, causing the boy to tumble into a huge gaping mouth
"Oh, sh!-"
"KAZUMA!"
With only adrenaline in his veins, he extended himself, grabbing the rim of the frog's lower lip with his arms and his ankles on the upper lip; as if he was holding it's mouth open by stretching it wide.
'That was fucking close!'
Aqua was panicking at the sight of Kazuma balancing on the beast's jaw; right above the vat of acid- so pungent that he could smell the remains of the fallen wolves, along with anything else that ended up there. His last-second saving manoeuvre caused him to drop his dagger that was now embedded in one of the deeper parts of the frogs mouth.
Aqua's eyes widened upon a horrible realisation, "Kazuma, it can still!-"
Gurgle
The sound of something coming from inside its mouth, as if it were charging up to reach him, sent shivers down the boy's spine.
'The tongue!'
Kazuma shifted himself to one end of the frogs mouth as fast as he could before-
THWACK
The nasty appendage erupted from its mouth like a bullet. The elastic tentacle barely missed him, and before it retracted, he used his left arm to reach inside the monsters mouth, grab his knife, then slash the sensitive tongue as hard as he could. The Frog convulsed violently in reaction, throwing Kazuma onto the ground.
It seemed to be the frog's biggest weakness and greatest strength, as just the cut of the knife sent the beast collapsing on its side, twitching helplessly on the ground, before it finally ceased.
"You did... Kazuma! You did it!"
He got up to see the Goddess smiling at him with the most relieved expression on her face.
"Yeah, looks like it," he smiled, then peered at his once fatal wounds, "Your healing is amazing."
She smiled before doing a stupid proud pose, "Hehe Leave it to me-"
THWACK
…
"Wha-"
The young man, with more fear in his heart than he ever experienced before, had no words when he saw a huge tentacle grab Aqua, and before he could say anything-
"AAAAAAH! KAZUM-"
GOMPF
...
She was gone. Swallowed. The adventurer for the briefest moment sat in utter horror, before reality hit him, and he sped toward the monster- still alive, though barely.
His face displayed a deep contempt, "You fucking monster! GIVE HER BACK!"
Kazuma whipped out his blade and upon reaching the stomach, plunged it deep inside from top to bottom. A whole torrent of insides erupted from the cavity, along with a certain green goo that splattered onto his arms and body, barely covered by tattered and ripped clothing; it immediately seared his skin on contact.
"Agh! Fuck!"
He tried to ignore it. After widening the gash enough, he drove his arm inside, looking for anything that could resemble his partner. He pulled the first thing out: half of a wolf carcass, the second: a deer that was dissolved into almost nothingness. The acid scalded his hand so much that he could barely even move it any more. He switched to his left and kept searching.
"Fuck! Please; Oh God, please!"
Tears filling his eyes with the pain and the stench of the toad's open belly. He shoved his arm as far as it could go and-
'A hand!'
He gripped it with as much strength as he could muster, and yanked it completely through and out of the monster. He felt the rest of the body coming with it, and as the pain drove him to the end of his consciousness, he felt a meaty splatter of something on top of him.
He was so burnt, he couldn't move his head to see if it was her, but only could witness the state of his body as he lifted a trembling hand into sight- the skin was melting off, sizzling, and the bones were visible. It was only a few more moments until he passed out. The frog died within a couple seconds, and the forest was finally silent for what seemed an eternity of chaos.
Another minute went by before the Goddess coughed out a gaggle of slime- so thick she had to pull out of her throat with her fingers.
"Ugh, Uuuuagh!" she retched, throwing up her own stomach contents onto the floor. Her entire body stung; the sensation of pain felt similar to burns. She turned her head and was in absolute horror at the state of her partner.
"Oh my G- KAZUMA!"
For what felt like the millionth time she called his name, the Goddess never imagined seeing a worse state of her partner than she'd already experienced, but this time it was truly horrifying:
His eyes were wide open in torment, scalp peeling off, chest more or less exposed with sears and burn marks that spanned his entire body. His tracksuit sleeves had completely dissolved away, and his hands- his hands were the worst, along with his exposed belly. His fingers were mostly bone up to the middle joints, and the rest of his hands all the way to his wrists were severely broken down and slimy- as if you could just rip the skin off by pinching it and pulling it away. His stomach was like a small pit, still sizzling from some acid inside. It slowly raised and lowered with his weak wheezing, barely an indication of life. He looked as if he was in a nuclear accident, with radioactive-like burns.
She immediately scrambled towards him, casting her recovery.
"Heal, heal, heal!" she screamed. The glowing effect spreading across his whole body and the skin slowly started to merge and grow, covering the exposed bones and refilling his starved vessels with blood.
Kazuma started to jerk and stutter as Aqua healed him, "Ah.. Hah! Agggh!"
The healing of his body included the healing of his nerves, which meant the pain returned in large waves.
"Aah! Haaaagh! Aqua-Aggh!" Kazuma cried, slowly lifting his arm.
Aqua grabbed it firmly with one hand, healing with the other, "I'm sorry; I'm sorry! Bear with it, Kazuma!"
Tears began falling from his eyes, Aqua's too, as she could hardly tolerate the agony her partner was going through.
The acid burnt the newly made skin, which healed again, only to be dissolved. The process continued for what felt like an hour to the Goddess, and a lifetime for the suffering adventurer.
After a painful and long procedure, where at one point Aqua had to dig into his stomach cavity to pull the slime out herself, it finally began to fill back up and permanently heal. The skin continued to crawl up his hands, and the acid disappeared elsewhere. His eyes were much calmer and his breathing became deeper and more regulated. He still shifted with jolts of pain here and there as organs and tissue shifted back into the right places. His grip tightened around Aqua's hand, which gave her relief that his strength was coming back.
After the hundredth time she had cast 'heal', He had finally recovered. Aqua looked down to witness Kazuma in a state she never thought she'd see. He was fine physically, but his expression showed fear, suffering and paranoia all at once. His eyes darted around, his breaths was shaky and his hand trembled weakly.
"Kazuma?" Aqua placed his head back onto her lap and took one of his hands into a tight bond, "It's all over, okay? It's done. We have to get out of here."
He took a few long seconds before he responded, "...It's really over?"
"It's over," she gently stroked his hair, "Come on."
...
After Aqua was able to reassure Kazuma, the duo scavenged ears, eyes, whatever evidence of killing the monsters they could grab, along with any valuables they had and made the trek back to the city. Since Kazuma's clothes were in tatters, and Aqua's was made from divine material, meaning it was unaffected by the acid, they spent the whole trip stuck together, sharing what was left of their blankets around them, mainly surviving on body heat. What was more astonishing was the fact Aqua was burned, but took a sliver of acid damage as compared to Kazuma while being in the frog's stomach for half a minute. Kazuma thought the only explanation could be that the acid she came in contact with purified into water before it had any real time to hurt her, but at the time, it was the least of their worries.
When they returned to the city, it was already the late evening.
Their quest was for five white wolves, but they included a bonus for additional kills, meaning that all eleven wolves, and even the frog counted. With 7000 Eris per wolf, and 5000 for the frog. Not only that, afterwards in the marketplace, they sold all the wolves' teeth, the most valuable part of them, for another 25,000 Eris. The total payout came to 107,000 Eris, something that would've taken half a year at the construction site, every day, before they even paid expenses. Despite the huge payout, their reaction were mostly mundane, and they took the reward without batting an eye.
After all they went through, the money didn't feel as justified as compared to the near-death fight they had in the forest. It was truly insane luck, along with some quick witted thinking and the best healing ability in the entire country that managed to save their lives multiple times; it was honestly quite ridiculous. Throughout their walk around the city, the couple stayed very quiet and to themselves. They were even meant to have a huge feast for their first successful quest, but the prior events of the day had them unanimously agree, without even sharing words, that they just wanted to go home and rest.
Before that, they bought Kazuma a set of new clothes, winter clothes and sent his tracksuit to be repaired at the miller, which they were told could take a long time due to the 'interesting' materials it was made from. Aqua also got her own winter clothing; a white coat, thick white socks and what looked like a flattened arch priest hat made into a sort of beanie. The adventurers also bought much larger, much more comfortable and insulating covers for their straw bed.
The last thing was the experience. After taking out all those creatures, both Aqua and Kazuma levelled up quite a lot, even gaining experience from the frog's kills, because monsters had their own levels, meaning they got extra XP from killing the giant frog who levelled up from the wolves, and it was why it was so tough even after being stabbed in the eye and its weak tongue.
The entire day had duo completely exhausted. After they both took a bath, they placed their new covers down in the stable, experiencing pure bliss once they went under. The sheets were much larger, meaning it was just one big bed and blanket. It was thick, heavy and kept all the warmth inside. Both adventurers couldn't help but sigh in relief as they could finally insulate themselves.
After which, there was a long silence. Kazuma, for some reason felt a strange unease. There was a feeling of uncertainty and fear that passively haunted him as the minutes rolled by.
He heard Aqua shuffling, and turned to see her facing him.
She look unsettled but kept silent. She'd make eye contact every now and again, as if she wanted him to say something.
"...Hey Aqua," he said quietly.
"Mmm, yeah?"
"Do you still feel scared?"
She paused for a few seconds, "Yeah."
Under normal circumstances the Goddess would never admit something like that so blatantly. Usually she was more prideful than that, but it made sense given what she went through.
He thought he'd be honest as well, "Yeah... Me too."
…
"Can we… Come closer?" Aqua avoided eye contact while asking him.
"Are you cold?"
"N-No but," She fidgeting some before relenting, "I still want to be closer."
His eyes widened at her words, 'She must be really shaken to be that upfront about it... I mean, of course she would after what happened, but this is the same girl that wouldn't dream of confessing fear, or that she wanted comfort.'
He raised the large blanket, "Come here."
After a second of hesitation, she quickly shuffled across the bed and immediately into an embrace, holding her partner tight. With Kazuma on his back, she rested her head on his shoulder, right under his chin, and reached across his chest and back. After being caught off guard a bit, he placed his left hand on her surprisingly slim waist and stroked her head with his right.
She sighed shakily, and clenched her grip on Kazuma.
"B-Back then," she whimpered quietly, tears slowly filling her eyes, "I was… I was really scared."
"Yeah… I dunno if you could tell but I was freaking out a bit too," he lightly chuckled.
She giggled in response, before her expression turned sincere.
"Kazuma... Thank you for saving me… You were so hurt, so, so hurt," tears began to roll down her cheeks and into Kazuma's shirt. "For that moment, it was so dark, so horrible, I thought I was gone; but when I felt your hand, it was like all those fears disappeared."
She turned his head to face her, then-
chu
planted a sweet kiss on his forehead. She grew a blush on her face and turned his head back upwards in embarrassment.
"I… Well- I.." Kazuma fumbled his words which made the Goddess giggle again.
"Kazuma, you really are bad with girls," the comment made him look away a bit flustered.
He took a breath and tried again, "You're a lot stronger than you realise, Aqua. If you didn't heal me all those times, I would've died ten times over."
He held her cheek in his hand, "Thank you for saving me."
She smiled and mimicked a prideful face, similar to that of the Goddess Kazuma met for the first time, "Well, of course. I'm a Goddess aren't I?"
"Yeah, yeah," he placed her back under his chin, sighing and closing his eyes.
It was now that his perceived worries and fears had more or less completely vanished. When he was with Aqua he felt protected, safe, cherished, like no matter what happened they'd have each other's backs. The feeling was mutual; Aqua could rest easy with Kazuma around her, and it was almost insane for her to think that in such a short span of time her opinion of him changed from a creepy nobody to someone she probably couldn't live without if he left her.
The couple slowly drifted off in the warmest embrace, despite the freezing cold of the winter.
Three months later, the two adventurers had survived the horrible winter. The event that caused the most problems for the both of them was finally over. Both Kazuma and Aqua decided it was best to wait until a better season to start adventuring, and lived off their first big payout in the meantime. They also placed a poster in the guild for someone to join their party, agreeing that it was best way to reduce the chances of the worst happening during their quests. Aqua demanded only advanced-level classes, mentioning she didn't want any 'dead weights', which made it hard to find anyone since it was the town for beginners.
With the good amount of levels the duo gained, Aqua could choose from a large list of Archpriest abilities, and after a bit of discussing between the two, she learnt Increase Strength (lv1) and Improve Speed (lv1). Unlike some of the other abilities that only cost one experience point each, these were quite expensive and took all her points, but Kazuma convinced her it was worth it considering how powerfully buffs can be utilised.
For Kazuma's upgrades, it wasn't so simple. Since his class was an 'average adventurer', he didn't have his own skill tree; instead, he had to witness other classes use their abilities, and he would then be able to learn them for himself. This, of course, didn't apply to all abilities, but the large majority of moves could be learnt, which he thought was a pretty broken feature. In terms of Aqua's abilities, he could copy Create water- and more importantly- Heal. Initially, he thought he struck gold with that, but in practice, it would just about stop bleeding and stabilise wounds, rather than retract blood, close cuts and realign bones like Aqua did. The disparity in classes and Aqua's maxed stats was responsible for the gap in effectiveness, but at least he could save someone in a pinch, or reduce the severity of his own wounds.
Joshua, upon hearing the miracle success of the adventurers, was also very appeased, and didn't display any aggressive demand for the money back, for which about 130,000 Eris was owed, including interest. He stated he wanted them to enjoy their first win and could take amounts from their next quest rewards.
…
The cool-winded spring morning brought the sun and a clear atmosphere around the stables. Aqua's eyes slowly opened, enjoying the comfortable sunny streaks that entered through the boards, topped off by the new sheets she laid in. Truthfully, though she'd likely never admit to him, it was Kazuma's embrace that made her feel the most comfortable and safe. The two would come together at night more often after the incident, even if they weren't cold. It became the norm for them and were almost always hugging or spooning in bed; they were enjoying the latter at the moment, with Aqua on the receiving end.
The Goddess smiled with a small blush as she didn't attempt to leave the bed, but rather enjoy Kazuma clutching her brea-
Grope
"Haaah!"
The Archpriest, with a much redder face, peered below to see the young man's hands gripping her bust with both hands.
"K-Kazuma, you're-"
Grooope
"Ahhn!"
Kazuma, in his sleeping state, managed to get a firm hold of both of Aqua's boobs. He had large hands, but despite that, he could barely hold the entire bosom in his palms; the girl certainly had some divine proportions. On the other end, Aqua blushed heavily at the noises she was making, but was weirder was how she was feeling. In a strange and weird way, despite how sensitive her breasts and nipples were, it was sending impulses around her entire body, making her tense up and begin to feel slightly hot in her core.
"Kazuma, I swear, I'll get really- AaaaAHn!"
She covered her mouth after making such a loud and embarrassing moan, being gripped extra hard by her companion. The abuse of her nipples left them feeling tingly, and by this point Aqua had had enough-
poke
…
The Goddess' eyes widened fully, and her movement completely halted when the sensation of something uncomfortable prodded her between her thighs, just below her special area.
"Kazuma is that- MMmm!"
poooke, poke poke, pooooooke
The thing continued to grow, enjoying her real estate, creeping closer in between her thighs until it was perfectly hot dogged inside; Big, hard and warm.
She covered her mouth to avoid moaning out loud again, but this time she lost her patience.
"You…. You…! GET OFF ME YOU PERVY NEET!"
PUNCH
"Ough!" the young adventurer grunted as he hurtled towards the wall, crashing into it flat-out, then falling back onto the straw.
"Awww Man… Hey, what the hell was that fo- huh?"
Before Kazuma continued his protest, his gaze met his partner, who was holding her bust, small tears filling her eyes, her knees bent up to her chest and giving him a mix of shock, anger and a flustered face.
"...W-What happened-"
Kazuma caught the Goddess's eyes drifting downwards and expanding on something below. He looked down to noticed his little monster in full attack position, bulging in his tracksuit bottoms and standing up for show in front of Aqua.
"Oh, crap!" The blushing adventurer immediately covered himself up, holding his shaking hand out in defence, "T-Trust me, this is a natural thing that happens sometimes! Completely natural!"
Her face changed into an angry scowl, "Completely natural?"
The young man was left confused, but as he looked back at his hand and made a few familiar movements of his fingers, the realisation came to him.
"Don't tell me…" his gaze returned to the Aqua clutching her chest.
The Archpriest speed walked through town with an angry huff, with her party member meandering behind at a slower pace.
"Aqua, gimme a break- I was asleep!"
…
"Look, h-how about I buy you a nice breakfast?"
…
"Come on, you should be glad-"
"Glad?!" the Goddess' 180 degree turn and sudden interjection threw Kazuma completely off guard.
"I-I-I mean," he stammered, "It's… It's really hard holding back as a guy with you sometimes."
She paused a moment, "What's that supposed to mean?"
"Well… Ahem," he cleared his throat with small blush on his face, "...Like having such a pretty girl so close to me every night takes a lot to not try to do something."
Her face morphed from a scowl into more of a surprised look.
"And… When you placed so much trust in me, especially on those cold nights, I didn't wanna break that trust," he scratched his chin while looking away, "So… I'm sorry about that, and I get if you don't wanna do that any more."
She stared at him, still annoyed and grumpy, but with more sympathy and a small amount of flattery in her gaze.
"Stop following me," she coldly turned around, "I don't wanna see you 'till this evening, actually-" she trekked back to the young man before snatching a bag of coins from his pocket, "I'll use this to buy myself a nice breakfast," she stated plainly, before walking off towards the guild hall.
After a few seconds of silence, Kazuma sighed and leaned over dramatically in guilt and self-pity.
"What the hell man?" he held his head in disbelief.
'Maybe it's cause I haven't even jacked off since I came into this world around four months ago; my hormones are now controlling me in my sleep,' he sighed, looking at his untrustworthy little man, 'Maybe there's a brothel or something in this town I could go to?'
He shook his head violently, 'No, no way I'm gonna lose it like that!'
"If only I could…" his thoughts drifted back to Aqua, her plump breasts and her perfectly tender thighs; the feeling of his thing when-
'Whoa, whoa, snap out of it!' he shook his head again.
"Geez, I'm down bad… Let me just find somewhere to eat… With no money… Shit."
...
Kazuma trailed down the stone paved roads with no particular goal, knowing that Aqua would be pissed if he went to the guild while she was still there. As he continued, the voice of a man came into hearing distance.
"-Not asking for much missy but I know you thevin' little rats always have a lotta' cash that's all."
'Hm? Someone getting robbed?'
Kazuma peered around the corner to a dark alleyway. Four pretty huge and rough-looking men were surrounding a petite white haired girl against a wall. The young man quickly ducked back into cover, facing forward and deciding what to do.
'Usually people jump into the situations, easily save the girl and become the hero, but I know it's not gonna be that easy. If I'm actually gonna save her, I'd need to play things smart!'
"How 'bout you just pass up the cash and we can all be on our merry way, eh?"
"Hmm, what if I said I don't feel like it?"
'This girl isn't helping her situation!'
"Then we'd have to take it from you anyway… and maybe do something worse to you."
"Don't make me laugh- an ogre as big and slow as you wouldn't even be able to lay a finger on me," she scoffed.
The comment caused a vein to bulge on the bald speaker's head.
'Has she got a damn death wish or something!? I gotta do something before they kill this girl!'
"Missy, when I'm done with you-"
"Excuse, me!" a voice rang out down the entire alleyway, drawing the attention of every person inside to the sweaty adventurer as he casually approached.
"Thank you for finding my girlfriend, geez, she's always running off- haha!" Kazuma grabbed the girl's arm and began leading her towards the exit, "Anyways, we have to-"
SPLAT
The white haired girl immediately stomped the unsuspecting adventurer into the brick wall.
"Huh? Who the hell are you grabbin' me with your clammy hands? Also, I'm not your girlfriend."
The young man turned around holding his busted nose, "What the hell- Read the moment! I was trying to rescue you!"
"Rescue me from what? These idiots?"
"Hey, who are you callin-"
"These morons aren't any threat to me; I just let them corner me cause I'm bored."
"Huh?"
"That's it! I've had enough of this bitch! Come on, Kill her!"
The leader pulled out a blade from his worn hilt, followed by the other thugs, before lunging forward at the teenager.
"Hey, look ou-"
BINK
At immeasurable speed, the small girl dodged underneath the thugs slash, before flanking in an instant and bonking the back his head with her dagger- still in its metal holder. The impact immediately sent him collapsing onto ground.
"Whoa…"
The other thugs, astonished, ran off down the alleyway, carrying their unconscious leader with them.
The young girl turned back to Kazuma, a cocky smile on her face.
His expression deadpanned, "Yeah, yeah, I get it. You're strong huh?"
"How'd you guess?" she gave a toothy grin.
…
Out of the backstreet and into the sunlight, Kazuma could take a much better look at the nimble girl: A teenager with short silver hair, light purple eyes and a scar of a deep cut on her cheek. She wore a pretty revealing bikini-like grey top over her flat chest, and short blue jean-shorts.
'She's quite pretty.'
"Damn, if I knew you were that strong I wouldn't have gotten involved," Kazuma winced, holding his bleeding nose.
The girl laughed outwardly, "You shouldn't underestimate anyone, that's how you get beat."
"Clearly," he scoffed.
"What's your name, mister?"
"It's Kazuma."
"Kazuma huh? You know, I don't see many people like you- jumping in like you did back there."
"Yeah I hear similar things from a lot a people here," he scratched his head, "But seriously, that's some insane speed. Are you like a rogue class or something? Or a thief?"
"Bingo! Second one!"
Kazuma smiled at her outgoing energy.
"What about you?"
"I'm 'average adventurer,'" the boy shrugged a little sadly, "I've just started so I don't really have many abilities."
"Have you got available skill points?"
"Well, yeah-"
"Then, as an apology for your nose, how'd you like to learn some new thief moves?"
His eyes lit up, "Really?"
She smiled, "Really."
...
They stood a dozen or so feet away from each other.
"There's a lot of skills you can learn from thieves, but their trademark ability has always been Steal!"
A bright light flashed towards Kazuma. After it vanished, his belt felt lighter, as if he'd lost something.
"My dagger!" he exclaimed.
"Pretty good isn't it?" the petite girl chuckled, tossing it back to him, "Now check your adventurer card."
He pulled the card out of his pocket, and towards the bottom the ability steal was available. He tapped it with his finger and then on his adventurer icon, leading to a strange feeling surrounding his entire body, as it seemed to glow. The adventurer's very DNA was rearranged in the moment and the skill was now imprinted into his self.
"Whoa…"
"The better your luck, the better chance you'll get something and the better value it'll be."
The adventurer smiled, "Finally something that plays to my strengths."
…
After being shown a selection of the most basic, but very useful skills, Kazuma added Enemy Detection, Bind and Lurk to his arsenal. They only cost a single point each, so he was able to get them with the rest of the points he obtained from the first quest.
Kazuma faced the white haired girl with a sincere expression.
"What's your name?"
"Call me Chris," she pointed toward herself with a thumb, giving a friendly wink.
He bowed toward her in a traditional Japanese way, something he hadn't done to anyone since coming to the new world.
"Thank you, Chris, seriously."
She was initially surprised, but returned a smile, "Don't worry about it. My Crusader friend is a righteous sucker, always trying to get me to help people, so at least this is my one good deed for the day."
"Crusader?"
"Yeah," she blankly responded, "Not really common in this town made up of basic jobs."
A lightbulb flashed in Kazuma's head, "Do you know if she's in a party at the moment?"
"Don't think so," she raised an eyebrow, "Why? You wanna recruit her?"
'I learnt about all the different jobs, and crusaders are masters of defence, vitality and have a great deal of strength. If we can get someone like that in our party, a tank, with Aqua as a master healer and me for support, we'd be a much better team.'
"Yes, actually-"
"Good luck with that," Chris sighed, "She's turned down basically every party that's requested her, saying something along the lines of: 'They don't have enough resolve'- whatever that means."
"Not enough resolve?"
"Yeah, but don't worry too much about that, I'll introduce both of ya."
Aqua was sat by herself in the Adventurer Guild, eating a tasteful breakfast with a perfectly normal 10:00 AM beer. She gulped down half the mug in a single attempt, slamming it down with a pout.
She displayed a grumpy expression, "That idiot, seriously."
The morning event replayed in her head continuously as she prodded her food with a fork. The weird feelings the Goddess experienced from her sensitive breasts and her lower regions being intruded lingered and was driving her crazy. Each time she thought about it, the tingling would come back, though not as strong as the real thing.
Her eyebrow twitched, "Why do I feel so weird!?"
Aqua was a pure Deity who had never done anything more than send people to the afterlife with her blessing for as long as she could remember. Despite her status as a Goddess in that place, she never truly had her own freedom and power, as shown by the fact she was sent down to this world without any say in the matter. But here, she truly had free will, meaning that there were no more rules, regulations or taboos of the higher place to restrict her any more. She could do whatever she wanted, which included what she did with her body.
The Archpriest slowly looked down to her skirt, 'I could… If I wanted…'
The thought of it placed a small blush on her face, her breathing and heart rate increased as she rested a hand on her thigh.
'No, I could never- I'm a Goddess, I have to stay pure for my followers!' she snapped her head back up.
Aqua slumped down into her arms, laying grumpily on the table, "It's all that Kazuma's fault."
Kazuma followed Chris up into a nice tavern, where upon entering, he could almost immediately tell who the standout contender was. She had long blonde hair in a ponytail, wore a yellow and black sleeveless dress with light trimmings, black chain mail covered with a silver cuirass, along with similarly fashioned greaves and her singular shoulder plate. On her right shoulder was a wing-like cloth that looked similar to an angel's; something that matched her graceful and mature mannerisms. She sat elegantly at the bar, sipping a wooden mug of beer.
'She's freaking gorgeous…' Kazuma stood absently near the doorway, entranced.
Chris raised her eyebrows, "Hey, hey, don't be fallin' for her so quickly. Do you know how many guys she's turned down?"
"At least a thousand," he muttered, leading to the thief smirking before pulling him along to the counter.
"Hey, Darkness!" the silver-haired girl called out nonchalantly.
The Crusader simply turned to face both the visitors with an unchanged look on her face.
"Who is this?" she stated coldly. Her voice sounded refined and more like a grown woman.
"Straight to the point as usual eh?" Chris chuckled anxiously, "This is Kazuma. He helped- Well, assisted me with some thugs on the street."
'Nice way of putting it.'
"Darkness, right? I've recently started adventuring and I'm currently looking for new people to join my party."
Her gaze focused on him. She paused, as if to examine him, before looking away impassively, closing her eyes.
"Not interested."
"Wha- But you haven't even-"
"I don't need to hear you out; I can tell from your character that you lack the resolve," she continued sipping her drink at the counter.
"There it is..." Chris sighed, "Sorry Kazuma-"
"I'm not done yet," his fist clenched. The frustration of not finding any new teammates, the debt, and now the attitude coming from this girl was beginning to drive him a little nuts.
"I can tell from the quality of your robe and armour that you were definitely born with a silver spoon in your mouth."
The blonde Crusader turned back to the adventurer with a nasty glare, "What?"
"It must be easy sitting here sipping ale, rejecting every party opportunity and throwing around your 'resolve' buzzword while I've been gnawed on by wolves and gouging my partner out of a frog's stomach!"
The girl's cold eyes expanded- less in shock, but with Kazuma's audacity.
Before she could speak any more, he continued his spout, "If you really had the determination to do good, you wouldn't be sitting here lecturing people; you'd be out there slaying demons and actually getting some blood on that spotless armour!"
The adventurer caught his breath after his little rant, looking up and realising everything he'd just said. The Crusader's silence and surprised expression hadn't changed, other than appearing more humbled and- even a little- pleased?
The next thought in Kazuma's head was to leave the awkward air of the tavern. He briskly faced the exit, nodded at Chris, who was equally surprised, before swiftly walking out the door.
After a prolonged pause of activity inside, the chatty atmosphere of the tavern returned.
"Whew, never thought the guy had that side to him," the thief exhaled, looking at her friend.
The blonde girl looked interested, even to the point of a minuscule smile appearing on her face.
"Chris, What was that boy's name again?"
The sun was setting around the time Kazuma entered the adventurer guild.
'Today didn't feel productive at all. If I didn't mess up my chances with that Crusader, we probably could've been adventuring tomorrow.'
He sighed, 'Best not to think of it too much. There might be some other advanced jobs around-'
"Kazuma!"
The young man saw his partner running toward him.
'Oh, crap. I forgot she was mad at me.'
She stopped right in front of him, and the young man closed his eyes in anticipation of a slap-
"Heal!"
A hand gently rested on his nose, and the lingering pain dissipated almost immediately. Kazuma opened his eyes to greet the worried expression of Aqua. She wiped the dry blood off his teenage moustache with her finger, rubbing the residue on her skirt.
"What happened?" the Archpriest looked up to him expectantly.
Aqua's hospitality warmed the young man's heart, who had a pretty shitty day up to that point.
He looked away, "Oh, this is nothing; just slipped over."
She pouted, "Geez, you should've come here if you were hurt. Let's get some food."
The young adventurer was surprised, "Um… Sure? Uh… So about-"
"I'll forgive you," she swiftly turned around with a small blush mixed with a deadly glare, "But if you do anything like that again, you're sleeping with the horses."
"Y-Yes ma'am."
…
Nighttime came about quickly and the duo returned to the stables. For the first time in quite a long time, they both slept separately in the hay bed.
"If you end up on my side of the bed by the time I wake up-"
"I'm dead, yeah, I know," Kazuma sweatdropped before turning over to his side and briskly falling asleep.
The Goddess closed her eyes to rest, but she kept thinking about what a certain someone had said.
'Having such a pretty girl so close to me every night takes a lot to not try to do something.'
"Idiot," she mumbled, before falling into slumber.
"-Hey get out, I'm changing," the Goddess ushered Kazuma out of the stables before returning to the bed area. She slowly took off the pyjama shirt, revealing her bare breasts that bounced on removal. She never wore a bra, or any panties for that matter, being a pure Goddess.
Aqua looked down at her supple boobs, paused for a few seconds, then slowly reached in and cupped them in her hands.
'That idiot was grabbing them like they were his...' the thought angered her, but also made her feel something different. She gently gripped both of them, humming a tiny moan from the touch. The idea popped back into her head, and her breaths became heavier. She looked down at her belly, sliding her hand down towards her-
"No, I can't!" she recoiled.
'I need to get dressed quickly before he comes b-'
GRIP
"Haaagh!"
A pair of hands reached from behind her, one holding her left tit, the other wrapped low and around her waist, pulling her back into the aggressor. The feeling of a zip, the green clothes in the corner of her eyes, along with the familiar hands and body left the Archpriest with no doubt it was-
"K-Kazuma! What are you- AAAHn!"
Compared to the previous time in bed, this was much more aggressive. He violently fondled and played with her breast, whilst the other forced her back into his pelvis.
Aqua's patience quickly ran out once again, but as she tried to struggle, her strength seemed to have disappeared.
"What? Wait, wait Kazuma!-Mmhh!"
Suck
The adventurer claimed the Goddess's neck with a leech-like kiss. The feeling made the girl's entire body tense up, her back arched and her ass squished against the young man's package, which was slowly growing. She felt his right hand slowly move from her stomach area to the hem of her pyjama bottoms.
"No, No!-Aah! Please don't Haaaah!"
The stimulations were so much for Aqua that her moans overtook her own voice. Kazuma easily slid his fingers underneath and into her danger area. The closer she felt him get, the faster her heart beat, the heavier she'd breathe- now just an inch away.
'He wouldn't; he wouldn't; he wouldn't-'
SCHLICK
"AAAAAH!"
…
"Huh?"
The girl slowly looked around, the empty and peaceful stables was completely silent, other than the sound of her panting and the tweeting of birds in the sunny morning. Aqua looked to her right, but her partner was gone; he would usually leave around this time to buy some food.
"A dream...?" she exhaled tiredly.
She looked down at her covered chest, but the feeling still lingered, as if the dream were a reality. Touching her face, she only then realised how strong her blush was, but the main thing she sensed, however, was actually within her underbelly. She ripped away the covers and her eyes expanded at the wet mess she left behind.
She gasped, "Is this…?"
slowly reaching down, just grazing her slit-
"Haahhn!"
-made her moan loudly.
'I just need to go back to bed. If I wait long enough...If I wait…. Or I could…'
For the Goddess, she was running out of self-tolerance. The one thing she wouldn't admit to herself, from the first time she was touched, to her dream, to this moment in time- was that it felt good; really good. She had enough of avoiding her new urges since she came to this world. She wanted to do it; she wanted to touch herself!
Aqua, in her sitting position on the bed, slowly pulled down the lower half of her light-blue pyjama's, revealing her ignored and sensitive pussy. It was basically steaming from the heat and how soaked it was. She slid her hand lower and lower until-
Slip
"Mmmmgh!"
Just entering with her finger made the Archpriest's whole body convulse, her head shot up into the ceiling and her legs trembled from the pleasure. Keeping one hand over her lips to try to prevent a lot of noise coming out her mouth, she continued to finger herself with her middle digit.
"Mmmh MmmAahh! Haaahh!"
As she pleasured herself, her thoughts began to race. Things popped into her mind; first about her freedom in this world, her newfound livelihood and future. After that, the thoughts became more lustful, she imagined the other times she was touched, then about the person behind those moments, Kazuma.
"Haaah! Hyuuh?"
It was something she couldn't express in words. Her confusion of why she was thinking about her partner made her panic, and quickly felt butterflies in her stomach. Unfortunately for the Goddess, no matter how hard she tried to think of anything else, it always returned to him. And each time she did, each time she thought about him, it only made her feel better.
"MmMmgh! Haaah… Kaz… Kazuma!" she yelled out; probably the most embarrassing thing she ever said, and yet when she mentioned his name, the feeling increased tenfold and her eyes raised up high into her skull.
"Yes… Yes, Kazuma.. Kazuma! More!"
Her orgasms increased as she felt herself reaching the peak. She moved her left hand from her mouth, pulled up her top, then grabbed her left nipple.
"Mmmmgh! Yes, YES, KAZUMAAA!" her legs stretched out, her toes curled fully, her hand clutched her breast forcefully, and her eyes rolled all the way back as clear liquid squirted a few inches forward onto the bed.
The Goddess had never felt so content in her life. She displayed an ecstasy rich face as she recovered with rapid breathing.
'Why…? Why when I thought of him-'
The door to the stables slammed open, "Aqua! Aqua? Are you oka-"
…
…
…
Both adventurers were completely paralysed in movement. Kazuma and Aqua's eyes stared deeply into each other in pure surprise and shock. It was impossible to even come up with a single word to say, therefore the young man slowly tried to back up and leave, but before he could-
SLAM
The Goddess trapped him against the door, covering his mouth, jamming her leg right in between his own. Her breathing was erratic and her eyes appeared to resemble spirals.
"L-L-Look, y-you're the one w-who made me d-do this, o-okay?" she stammered all over her words, her face redder than a tomato.
"Mmm! Mmm!?" Kazuma could only mumble through her hand, but the experience was a real test to his own resilience. She was pressing her soft thigh into his little man, and her bare breasts were squished into his chest.
'What the hell is- Shit, I won't be able to handle it if she keeps-'
"Mggh, Mmmmg!" Kazuma tried to remove Aqua's hand from his mouth, but her grip was superhuman, "Agua! Get offth me!"
"Shh, shut up! Don't say anything!"
"Aquar!"
"Shut up!" The girl screamed, but only a few seconds later, a strange feeling crawled up her thigh, leading her to slowly look down until her eyes met a large bulge in his pants, twitching against her leg.
Upon looking back at him, he displayed a strong blush on his face, but not of embarrassment or fear, in this moment, he was just staring at her; into her eyes. The look completely stunned the girl, and the conversion from a loud scuffle to a silent staring contest was almost immediate.
Almost like instinct, Kazuma's hands calmly rested on Aqua's slim waist. He gently grabbed and pulled her even closer, so that their faces were only an inch apart; their bodies melded together.
"What…What are you….?" Aqua showed a level of protest but didn't even resist against his movement.
He brought his right palm up to hers, gently holding the hand she had planted on his mouth, which was barely pressed against him any more. He effortlessly removed it as silence between them lingered.
He moved both of his hands to her cheeks, holding her steady, once again, without an ounce of interruption from the girl who was left hypnotised by his gaze.
"Aqua… I can't stop myself any more."
"Huh…? What…?" she whimpered.
He leaned forward, kissing her deeply.
"Hmm!" the Goddess' body tensed at the action, but didn't push back.
Kazuma returned to see his partner staring at him with an open mouth and a dazed expression.
'Oh man, I've gone and done it.'
"A-Aqua… I'm sor-"
CLING
Aqua suddenly swung her arms around Kazuma's neck, pulled his head down to face her, and before he could say any more-
Chuuu~
-kissed him for an even longer period of time. They barely separated before they came together again, making out at the stable doors. Their wild hormones that had been building over time burst like a dam, leaving the two souls finally expressing their true lustful feelings.
They continued to French, and despite Kazuma's lack of self control, it was Aqua that couldn't get enough of him. She gripped tufts of the back of his hair, felt up his chest, all while forcing his lips into hers, then begun to enter his mouth with her tongue.
"Mmmgh!" Kazuma mumbled, trying to get control, but Aqua was devouring the young man.
Chorp Chorp Chorp
She couldn't get enough. With each time she kissed him, she felt his thing twitch against her belly. She loved it. The archpriest separated from him, only to pull him further into the stables, throwing him onto the straw bed, jumping on top, then continuing to take rounds on his mouth.
Chorp Chorp Chorp Chorp Chorp
Kazuma could feel his partner unzip his tracksuit top, feeling his chest, pecks and abs through his shirt, then continuing downwards-
GRIP
"MMMMGH!" the young man jerked in reaction to his Goddess taking a firm hold of his cock which was already out of his pants by the strength of his erection, just covered by his underwear.
Gasping for air, Aqua broke up the kiss, strings of saliva still linking them together. She giggled at her partner's sensitive response, and displayed a seductive face that the boy never would've imagined he'd see.
"Since you saw mine… It's only fair if I see yours too."
'I didn't even see...'
The girl steadily crawled back until she came across the lump in his pants, before abruptly yanking Kazuma's underwear off. His cock swung out in front of her face, lightly tapping her lips.
She showed surprise at his size, "Oh… My..."
The sight of Aqua gawking at his manhood was a very stimulating experience, and it began to twitch in front of her. By some strange primal instinct, the Archpriest's entire body reacted to the movement's of Kazuma's member; especially her deep core, which ached in reply to the sight.
Her mouth began to water in the way that she'd react to a perfect steak. She stuck out a hand, immediately getting a nice grip of it.
"Mmm!"
Strooooke Strooooke Strooooke
"Agggh!"
She gently caressed Kazuma's member with her hand, from the base all the way until the hem of the tip, causing him to have uncontrollable jolts in pleasure as he received a perfect handjob from his partner.
'God... Why is she so good at this?'
"Ahh! Aqua!" Kazuma's breath shuddered in pleasure as he watched her gentle, yet strong strokes take complete control of him like the gearstick of a car.
After pausing a couple seconds, the Goddess removed her hand from Kazuma's length, before sticking her dripping tongue out.
'Is she gonna? There's no way-'
"Mmh!" the adventurer leaned his head back after the Archpriest began licking up and down his entire shaft.
"Mmmm, Mmmmmn" Aqua hummed, enjoying the taste.
The stimulation was enough for precum to leak out of Kazuma's length. When the Goddess came back up, lapping up the tip, she immediately swallowed, and seemed to be stuck in a trance.
"A-Aqua?" the adventurer looked at the frozen girl.
Benevolent Goddess!
"Huh?"
'Did I just hear a skill, or am I-'
GOMPH
"Aaaaagh!"
Aqua immediately took the adventurer's entire cock into her mouth, reaching all the way to the base without any reaction. Kazuma's eyes widened when he saw heart-shaped symbols glowing within Aqua's blue eyes.
SLURP SLURP SLURP SLURP
Before he could say anything, the Goddess was sucking his cock like a monster, rapidly bobbing her head all the way up to his tip, before plummeting back down; the force of the suction so strong that the young man was basically shouting out in pleasure.
"Fuuckgh! Aqua!"
SLUUURP SLUUURP SLUUURP
'Shit! This is too good! As soon as she started using her mouth, she's been sucking me dry!'
"Shit, Aqua-Aaagh! I'm… I'm gonna!"
Kazuma's cock began to twitch uncontrollably as the Goddess didn't let up a single bit.
SLUUURP SLUUURP SLUUURP
"Fuck! I can't hold- I'm-"
SPUUURT
Kazuma erupted into the Goddess' mouth; his whole body stiffened simultaneously as he came more than he ever did in his life.
Gulp Gulp Gulp
Aqua's heart-like eyes glowed as she gently fondled his sack with her fingers, while keeping his entire shaft consumed, simulating every extra drop into the back of her throat.
Gulp Gulp Gulp
'It wont… It won't end!'
Gulp Gulp Gulp
After a few more seconds of complete elation from the young man, he finally stopped twitching inside her mouth. She slowly pulled away, sucking as hard as she could, until it finally fell out her mouth with a loud exit sound, falling limply on the boy's leg. Aqua exhaled a hot and musky vapour as the heart symbols disappeared from her eyes, and her regular expression returned.
The young man slumped back onto the bed, his soul having been ripped from his body.
"Kazuma...? Are you okay?"
He weakly held a thumb up, "I think... I just need to rest now."
She smiled, crawling back up to eye-level, then embracing him in bed as they always did. They enjoyed each others comfort as they slowly drifted off for sunny mid-day nap.
