As the Megakat City traffic moved at a slow pace, two local mechanics, Jack Clawson and Chance Furlong had chosen to walk to their favorite bar in the city. It was only a small place, but at least it had good reviews; good service and it was a place where the deputy mayor, Callie Briggs, would be on the weekends.
The two kats went in with smiles on their faces, but then their happy expressions turned into frowns. Seated at the bar was their former boss, Commander Feral. The bigger kat was helping himself to glass of Sex on the Beach.
Jake shook his head. "Great, the one day Megakat City isn't being attacked and we end up coming to the bar the same day as Feral," he said with a huff, but Chance shrugged.
"I don't know, Jake," he said patting his friend on the back. "Feral might be an alright guy when he's drunk."
Chance's little joke caused Jake to snicker, which caught the attention of Commander Feral. The Enforcer leader turned around to see Jake and Chance. He could tell they were talking about him.
"Why don't you two join me," he growled, his voice oozing with venom.
Jake and Chance both shrugged and said in unison, "Ok." They took a seat next to Feral and quickly ordered their regular drinks. A Gimlet for Jake and a Manhattan for Chance. The bartender, who clearly long into his years, never looked up or said anything as he served the two kats.
Jake and Chance felt really awkward sitting next to their former boss, not even sure if he really wanted their company or was just looking to get a rise out of them. But soon, the Enforcer leader began to open up to them after about two drinks.
"Listen," he said gulping down the rest of his second drink. "I never told you two this, but I think that miss Briggs is lucky to have you two keeping her car up to date."
Jake felt a smile growing on his face. "Yeah, she knows who to trust with her car," he said.
"Indeed," Chance replied, then tapped the bar signaling the barkeeper for another drink.
Thirty minutes past and Commander Feral kept engaging in small talk with Jake and Chance, but soon, the tree of them were rudely interrupted by a kat duo, brothers Burke and Murray.
The minute they saw Jake and Chance, the two brothers rushed to the bar and cut right into their conversation.
"Well, well," Murray laughed grabbing a hand full of nuts from the bowl on the bar. "Looks like like the two most pathetic kats in Megakat City have decided to have some fun before returning to their junk heaps."
Chance scoffed in anger. "Well, at least we have a job that we love," he countered back, causing Murray to ball up his fists. Burke gave the bigger kat a shove.
"Don't talk that way to my brother," he said with a warning.
Jake smiled as he finished his drink. "Then you better make sure he minds his manners."
Things were stating to heat up and this was not what Commander Feral wanted on his day off, so, thinking fast, he quickly ordered a round of shots.
"Lighten up boys," he said trying his best to keep the peace. "Lets just try and be friends for at least one day."
Jake and Chance for once agreed with Feral as did Burke and Murray. The five kats all sat around the bar, just doing a little bit of small talk, but soon the mood changed to that of fun. It all started when Jake challenged Burke to a thing of Never have I ever.
Jake looked at Burke with a smile as he and overweight tom opened their bottle of beer. "Uh… I never stole my mother's wallet and went to the movies using her money," he said.
Burke took a drink. It was his turn. "I never spied on girls who were in a changing room at the mall."
Jake took a drink.
Suddenly Feral spoke up. "I never slept with a hot next door neighbor and pretended that she was favorite babysitter," the commander was surprised that both Jake and Burke took a drink.
Then Chance and Murray joined in. Murray quickly thought of a good one. "I never stole another kids lunch money and lied about it after using said money to buy junk food."
Everyone but Jake took a drink.
"I never once gave my best friend a wedgie," Chance said. Feral and Jake took a drink, but Burke and Murray just sat there.
"I never made out with someone's girlfriend when he wasn't around." Jake smiled.
Burke, Murray and Feral all took a drink.
Murray let off a small burp before taking his turn. "I never jacked off to spying on my mom while she was in the shower." No one but him took a drink, which earned him some concerned looks from the others.
Ten minutes later, Murray was on his fifth bottle of beer, while Jake and Feral were their second bottle, and Chance and Burke were still on their first. The short tom was incredibly drunk and could barely sit up straight, still, he kept on playing.
Jake looked at his bottle. "Uh… Uh, I never took a fat girl out on a date, but ended up sleeping with her."
Murray took a swig from his beer.
"I never shoplifted from Game Stop while I was high on drugs and was in my birthday suit," Feral said. Murray took another swig.
"I never once thought the SWAT Kats were hot and dreamed of having sex with them," Chance said earning a weird look from his buddy Jake.
"Oh for the love of Pete!" Murray shouted and took another swig. This last swig was enough to send the smaller tom into a drunken state that caused him to pass out at the counter.
Commander Feral looked at Burke. "Your brother should really get some therapy," he suggested. "He seemed to be having some issues."
"Tell me about it," Jake groaned as he finished his beer. Paying the bill, the handsome tom hurried over to the jukebox and selected a popular jazz song. Soon, he was dancing to the music and his groove was totally infectious. Commander Feral and Burke jumped up from their seats and join Jake on the dance floor.
Chance seeing the three kats dancing gave him a great idea. Reaching into his pants pocket, he pulled out his cell phone and began to record the dancing kats. After awhile they started singing the lyrics to the song, earning them around of applause from the other bar patrons.
As Burke took a step to the right, he ended up stepping on Commander Feral's foot, the Enforcer leader didn't like that very much. With very little effort, Feral picked Burke up by the back of his pants and tossed him behind the bar.
Jake stopped dancing as he watched Feral start laughing. Burke didn't take being pushed around very well, so, taking a quick drink from a whiskey bottle, the fat tom rushed forward and threw a punch at Commander Feral.
The commander felt Burke's fist make contact with his face, but the bulky kat stayed up. He looked down at Burke, who by now had taken a step back. However… POW! SLAM! BOOM! Commander Feral beat the living daylights out junkyard kat.
The bar patrons started cheering as they thought this night was turning out to be rather enjoyable. Suddenly, Murray who had gotten back up had seen his brother get his ass handed to him, and the smaller brother grabbed a chair and advanced towards Feral.
CRASH! Murray brought the chair down on Feral's back and the Enforcer leader dropped to his knees, his head was spinning and he felt passing out.
Jake and Chance who had see enough action, rushed forwards and pinned Murray down, this unfortunately left them wide open to attack from the other patrons. Soon, the whole bar was filled with kats fighting. Enforcer cruisers arrived to break up the fight.
The next morning, Commander Feral, Jake, Chance, Burke and Murray were all sitting in the mayor's office. Manx looked at the article in his news paper, his usually calm, cocky voice was filled with rage. "Commander Feral brings shame to Enforcers. Ex-Enforcers, Jake Clawson and Chance Furlong considered lucky as no charges are brought against them," the mayor then looked at Burke and Murray.
"And local dump truck drives, Burke and Murray cost bar fifteen thousand dollars in damages during bar fight!" Manx shouted as he ripped his news paper in half. His old eyes were full of rage.
Burke cleared his throat and tried to speak. "Mr. Mayor-"
"SHUT UP!" Manx shouted to the overweight tom. "You and your brother will be working a long time repaying the bar for the damage you caused."
Burke and Murray sat quietly and hopped that maybe the mayor would show them some mercy. This now left Commander Feral to deal with. Mayor Manx looked at his most trusted Enforcer, the commander seemed to shrink back into his chair as the mayor began to tap on his desk.
"Commander Feral," Manx began calmly. "How long have you been protecting this city?"
Commander Feral thought for a second. "Fifteen years, Mayor Manx," he replied.
Mayor Manx got out of his seat with a smile. "And do you know how much the Feral name means to the city?" he asked coming right up to Feral who seemed to know what was about to happen.
"It means a lot. The Feral family has been protecting this city since the mega world war."
"Yes," Manx smile than turned into a frown. "And just last night, what went down in that bar soiled the Feral name. As of right now, you're suspended!"
Feral couldn't believe it. "Suspended?" he gasped.
"Effectively starting now," Manx snapped. "Do you have anything to say?"
Feral shook his head and began to leave. As he opened the door, deputy mayor Callie Briggs stepped through the door. Feral passed her and suddenly halted. "Mr. Mayor! Give me another-" CRASH! Callie closed the door just as Feral turned around, his big hand smashed right through the glass window. "Chance," Feral said finishing his sentience.
"That had to hurt," Burke snickered quietly to his brother, who kept himself from laughing.
"That's coming out of your paycheck, Commander Feral," Callie said with a huff before handing the mayor his coffee and some paperwork to sigh.
Feral then left the scene without saying anything. Mayor Manx then turned to Jake and Chance. "As for you two," he said to the two toms. "Keep out of trouble."
"Yes, Mayor Manx. We'll do just that," Jake and Chance said in unison. And they two quickly left.
Manx then noticed that Burke and Murray were still in his office. "Well, what is it?" he asked them.
"Look, Mr. Mayor," Burke began to speak, but as he stood up, his big belly bumped the mayor's deck which overturned his coffee. Manx jumped up from his seat as the scolding hot drink fell into his lap, some also unfortunately also landed on his computer. A loud zap was heard, and monitor died as smoke filled the room.
"Look at what you did!" Mayor Manx shouted at Burke.
"This room is filled with smoke," Callie complained and turned on the ceiling fan to draw the smoke up. Murray saw this as his chance to make amends for his brother's little mishap.
"Why don't we just air this baby out?" he said spying the closest window. The smaller tom hurried over to it and lifted the window, not realizing that the window was hold a small AC unit. CRASH! The sound of a car alarm caused Callie and Manx to look at Murray with a frown.
Murray cracked a nervous smile and looked out the window. "Hey, does anyone know someone who owns a green sedan with a license plate that has a SWAT Kat logo on it?"
Callie stepped up to the window, reached into her purse and pulled out her car keys. She pressed a button on her car keys and the alarm stopped a loud BEEP was heard.
Burke forced himself to smile. "Oh, you own the car," he said trying to ease the deputy mayor's temper. "I'm sure you have tons of coverage."
Callie's eye lids twitched with rage and before Burke or Murray knew what was happening, the both of them found themselves in the back of an Enforcer's patrol car. Callie watched with a certain satisfaction as the two brothers were taken away, where they would spend a couple of days behind bars.
All this trouble had caused the lovely she-kat to become stressed out, but she knew someone who could help relieve that stress. Reaching into her purse, Callie pulled out her communicator that the SWAT Kats had gifted her. Pressing the button, the deputy mayor felt her stomach tingle as she heard Razor answer the call.
"Yes, Miss Briggs?" he said.
Callie licked her lips. "Razor, I need your body."
There was a slight pause and then she heard the words that made her body burn with lust. "I'll be right there."
Callie smiled. "Being deputy mayor does have its perks," she said before heading to her apartment.
