As Tanjuro continued to run, he relaxed slightly, not sensing any Demons nearby. "Will we get there soon?" Sanemi asked from where he was on his back. "Soon. Don't worry. Once your Mother is one of my Demon's she'll be fine Sanemi" the Kamado assured. The white-haired boy was silent for a moment, before he spoke up again, "will you have to take Mom back with you?" he asked quietly. "Well, I did promise Kagaya that I would bring any new Demon's I created to see him. So I'll have to take her, at least for a while" Tanjuro explained. Sanemi let out a breath, "well, at least she'll be able to spend lot's more time with my younger Siblings from now on. Especially as a sunlight-immune Demon" he said.

But Tanjuro noticed the distress in his voice. He glanced back at the boy who was basically a Son to him, "what's wrong?" he asked softly. The white-haired boy let out a shaky breath, "it's nothing, really" he replied. Tanjuro let it go for the moment, certain that if the boy was really worried about something, that he would tell him. Then again, Sanemi didn't exactly have a lot of good make adult role-models. "You know, if you're worried or upset about something, you can always talk to me. I'll listen to you, I promise" Tanjuro said softly. There was a moment of silence between them, before Sanemi let out a soft: "thanks". After that they both fell silent.

Tanjuro continued running until he reached Mt Sagiri, placing the boy in his arms down next to him and knocked on the door. "It's Tanjuro and Sanemi Mr Urokodaki" he called. The door opened warily, but the old Trainer relaxed when he saw that the Demon didn't have anymore people with him. "Tanjuro, did you come to drop Sanemi off here?" the masked man asked as he stepped aside to let them in. "That and a few other things," Tanjuro replied, but paused as the white-haired boy tugged at his Kimono, "can you help Mom now?" he asked impatiently. "Yes, let's go" Tanjuro replied patiently, patting Sanemi on the head.

"What are you talking about?" Urokodaki asked in confusion. Tanjuro looked a little sheepish, "well, basically I can turn humans into Demons under me, and I can do the same for other Demons by giving them my blood" he explained. The masked man stared at him, "but that would man- Tanjuro, are you a Demon King?!" he asked in shock. "Maybe?" the Kamado Patriarch answered. Urokodaki stared at Tanjuro for a long moment, before collapsing into his chair, "are you serious? And I thought you couldn't get anymore impossible Tanjuro!" the old man replied weakly. "Are you alright Sir? do you need a glass of water?" Tanjuro asked worriedly.

"Just hurry up and do what you came here for, then go! I need time to process all of this" Urokodaki groaned. Sanemi came running over with a blanket. "I've got a blanket!" he cried. "Thank you. Now, let's convert your Mother to being one of my Demons" Tanjuro replied, patting Sanemi on the head.

They found Shizu Shinazugawa curled up in a roll of bedsheets in her room. "Hello Miss Shizu. My name is Tanjuro Kamado. Do you remember me?" Tanjuro asked gently after sliding the door shut behind him to block out the sunlight. "Hm?" Shizu hummed through her muzzle, her icy blue eyes glowing in the dark bedroom. "Mom? It's me, your Son Sanemi" the white-haired Shinazugawa tried next, scooting forwards a little so his Mother could see him. The Demon woman lit up at seeing one of her children, scooting out from under the futon and moving to hug him.

Tanjuro smiled warmly at the sight, content to let the Mother and Son have their moment. Sanemi blushed when his Mother pulled him into her lap. Due to the size difference, the boy was twice as big as his Mother. But being a Demon, she happily held her Son with his arms around his waist with a smile on her face. One that was easily seen despite her muzzle. Tanjuro looked down, knowing that he should finish up here, so that he could get back to Akemi and her Mother. "Alright Miss Shizu. I have something to suggest to you, though I don't know how well you can understand me right now," he took a deep breath, "I can use my blood to turn you into a sun-immune Demon that doesn't need to eat humans.

You could live peacefully with your children, even as a Demon. Would you like that?" Tanjuro asked slowly and carefully, to make sure the Demon woman understood his words. "Hmm?" she hummed, looking down at Sanemi, who was still in her lap. He looked up at her pleadingly, "please Mom? We all miss you so much!" he begged. Shizu looked like she was concentrating hard, sweat building on her face. Finally, after three whole minutes, she nodded in agreement. "Alright" Tanjuro replied. Sanemi climbed out of her lap, as Tanjuro held out his arm, "hold out your hands" he instructed. Shizu slowly did as he said, holding out her hands in front of her. Tanjuro moved her hands together into a cupped position, as Sanemi untied his Mother's muzzle.

Once he'd removed it from her mouth, she looked nervous, but determined. Tanjuro smiled gently, before slicing his own wrist with his claws, and letting his blood drip into Shizu's hands. "Drink my blood, and you'll be free Shizu" he said softly. Shizu looked down at the blood, then up at her Son, who smiled encouragingly at her, before she began to drink the blood. Tanjuro prepared himself, straightening the sheet in front of the small woman Demon. Suddenly Shizu wrapped her arm around herself with a cry of pain and coughed up blood, before vomiting a much larger amount. She pitched forwards, making Tanjuro have to catch her around the front to keep her from collapsing into the puddle of blood.

Shizu gagged, vomiting up more blood, gasping for air and convulsing in his arms. Sanemi gripped his clothes, praying that this worked. Tanjuro rubbed the small woman's back as she vomited more blood onto the sheet, "it's alright. You're doing fine Shizu" he said lowly. A few minutes later, after she had seemed to have vomited up all of the blood inside her body, Shizu collapsed into his arms with sigh. "Did it work? Is Mom one of your Demons now?" Sanemi asked anxiously, peering over at her. "We'll see later. For now let's let her rest. I'll take the sheet outside to clean it if you want?" Tanjuro asked, picking up the Demon blood-soiled bedsheet and taking it outside.

"Thank you" the white-haired boy said, as he sat with his Mother. Tanjuro nodded and took the sheet outside.

After that, Sanemi went to Urokodaki to start his training again, while Tanjuro looked for the Tokito twins. He found them at the river, catching fish. "Hey you two. Catching fish for dinner while Yuto is up the mountain?!" he called, as he walked towards them. Muichiro looked over at him and lit up, "Mr Kamado!" he said happily, "what are you doing here?" he asked curiously, as Yuichiro put another fish in their basket. "A few different things," Tanjuro replied, "I had to drop Sanemi back here so he could continue training. And I turned Miss Shizu into one of my Demons. And I also wanted to see how the three of you were doing here" he explained with a smile.

"What do you mean, one of your Demons?" Yuichiro asked with narrowed eyes. "Oh, I guess I never told you guys about this. Come sit down, and I'll explain" Tanjuro said. So the Tokito Twins sat on the river bank and listened as the Kamado explained everything that had happened. Both boys were amazed, "so that's what happened to our Mother. You tried to save her by turning her into one of your Demons, but her body was too weak from everything for her to survive" Muichiro said with tears in his eyes. Tanjuro looked down in guilt, "yes. I'm sorry I couldn't save your Mother. I did try, I promise" he swore.

Yuichiro took a deep breath, "why are you apologising? It's not your fault that Mother wasn't strong enough to handle the transformation. If anyone's to blame, it's the Demon who attacked us, not you. You saved us and our Father. But sometimes you just can't save everyone. I'm glad that you'll be able to help Mrs Shinazugawa" he said quietly. Muichiro stared at his twin Brother. When the older twin noticed the look, he blushed, "wh-what's that look for?" he asked, flustered. "I've never heard you talk so softly and considerately of a person Brother. You've always been so sharp-tonged" Muichiro replied.

The other black and teal-haired boy turned to walk away, "well, wh-whatever" Yuichiro stuttered as he walked away. Tanjuro smiled, before heading back to the house.

He found Sanemi training with his sword in front of the house. "Miss Shizu is okay then?" Tanjuro asked. "Yeah, she wanted to thank you for helping her" Sanemi replied. He turned back to the house, "he's back Mom!" he called. The door opened, and Shizu Shinazugawa slowly walked out of the house, stepping into the sunlight for the first time in months. In the sun, Tanjuro could see that it wasn't just her eyes that had changed to an icy-blue colour, but the tips of her long black hair had also turned an icy-blue, almost looking white in the sunlight. In fact Shizu's eyes were also more white-looking in the sun.

"Th-thank y-y-you. M-Ma-" she began, but failed to produce the whole word. Shizu frowned at her stutter, but Tanjuro nodded, understanding what she meant, "it's okay, just take your time. You might have to practice talking again" he replied. Shizu nodded, turning her face to the sun as it came out from behind the clouds. She closed her eyes and let out a sigh, showing off her small fangs. Tanjuro smiled at the woman, happy for her, before going to find Urokodaki, "I have to talk to Mr Urokodaki for a minute. Please wait here" he asked. "I can look after Mom, don't worry" Sanemi replied, which Tanjuro nodded to.

He returned to find the older human man, "I have to talk to you about something Sir" he said, as Urokodaki looked up at him from the letter he was writing.

"So because of the promise you made to the Master about introducing him to any new Demons you create, you need to take Miss Shizu to the Demon Slayer Corps Headquarter's" the masked Trainer repeated. "Yes, that's right" Tanjuro explained. Urokodaki sat back, "well, I'm fine with it. Doesn't Sanemi also know about that condition? He was there during your trial, wasn't he?" he asked. Tanjuro looked down, "he was, yes. But, he's only now gotten the chance to spend more time with his Mother, now that he's back here for training, and I don't want to take her away from him now" he replied. "Ask him. I'm sure he'd be fine with it, provided you take care of her and he can take her with him when he becomes a Demon Slayer himself. After all, he'd be glad for his younger Siblings to be able to spend more time with Miss Shizu while they can" Urokodaki said.

Tanjuro sighed, "yes, I know. I'm just worried about him being all alone here. Sanemi has always had at least one member of his family with him at all times since that night. I don't want him to worry about all of them and become distracted" he explained. "I won't," the boy said from behind him. They turned to see Sanemi standing at the door, holding his Mother's clawed hand. "My Siblings deserve to see Mom again. Especially Genya. He always worries about her so much. So don't worry about me and take Mom back. I'll be fine. It'll help me focus on my training anyway" the white-haired boy said. "Sanemi" Tanjuro said softly. "Please Dad. I want you to take Mom with you" he repeated.

Tanjuro sighed, "if that's what you want" he replied softly.

Tanjuro stood with Shizu beside him wearing a Haori and scarf over her head to hide her Demonic features that she didn't know how to hide yet. "I'll take care of her Sanemi. You just focus on your training, okay?" he asked. His adopted Son nodded, "I will" he replied. Shizu stepped forwards and kissed her Son on the forehead, "b-be caref-ful" she stuttered. Sanemi smiled slightly, "I will Mom" he replied. The two Demons started to head back to the Hospital were Tanjuro had left Akemi and her Mother. 'They'd better be better than when I first brought them in' he thought firmly, remembering how the 'Doctors' had treated the poor girl and her Mother.
