Heart Gift

Of all the people she planned to visit, it was meeting Mikah that she feared the most. That's why she left it until the end. She suspected she would delay it off as long as possible if she could. However, by a strange twist of fate, she found him in the place of her greatest triumph. And, in a some sense, also greatest failure. The spell she cast here was powerful, even for the inhabitants of the galaxy, although in fact it was very simple, even primitive. Now, with the knowledge she had gained over the five years of learning about the achievements of the Mystics the Galaxy, she would have made them much more effective, or more destructive, and she had not study modern war magic. The cost of casting this spell was great. Her soul was riddled with holes. Power had been leaking from her constantly since the ritual, but now she had to recharge herself with Black Opal every few hours, dooming herself to constantly be near the runestone, as hostage to her own power. But then she also lost what was left of her soul when she banished Mikah to Beast Island. Apart from Adora and Catra, and maybe Scorpia, he was the person she hurt the most, at least out of the ones she knew personally. And now, yes, unexpectedly, she had to face her sin.

She survived, although for a moment she considered letting her former student take out his anger on her, but it wouldn't change anything, or anything would be for the worse. She hasn't won yet, but she hasn't lost either. However, she had to retreat because her second mission, which Bina placed on her shoulders, was calling her. She entered the dark, cold space between the stars and found herself below, shrouded in dust.

"What's the hell you've done?" she shouted and coughed, choking. Bin's wards, and now her wards, peered out from behind the rock and, with the exception of Rosie and, oddly enough, Eti, stared at her with a mixture of amazement and horror. Oh yeah, she forgot to turn on the holographic mask. She reached for the back of her neck while repeating the question. Rosie answered her

"Sorry, they have earplugs in their ears, I didn't need them, because you know. We... we probably blew up a passage or something." the deaf girl blushed, and at the same time the others started taking off their earplugs. Itel, of course, crossed her arms over her chest, giving her a defiant look.

"Where did you get the explosives and where did you learn to use them?" she said, but immediately realized that it was completely rhetorical. Eti, however, took a sheet of paper from her coat and handed it to her, and then said.

"We had loads on the ship, but we used them all here." she said, not even hiding the fact that she was lying. "And here are my permissions."

She looked at the paper. It was handwritten: "Absolutely Perfect, Awesomeand Unique Eti is great at blowing things up and should do it every chance she gets." She didn't even know how to comment on it.

Ireanis appeared nearby using dimension gates, a spell quite popular in the galaxy, and Mikah landed here using a spell that slowed down his fall. He looked at her with surprise. She realized that for the first time in decades, he saw his teacher's face untainted by dark magic. She smiled slightly and touched the face, which shimmered. Then her former student turned to her charges and paled as he realized they were with her. He gave her a look of disbelief. She shrugged. There are still a few surprises waiting for him.

Eti approached him and asked.

"Do these tanks belong to someone, or are they just sitting here?" she asked her former king-consort, who frowned.

"They used to belong to the Horde, but were abandoned there many years during a great battle." he explained, and Eti clapped happily.

"So if we get it, no one will blame us. Awesome!" she exclaimed.

Mikach blinked several times and asked.

"Why do you need a tank?

Eti tilted his head to the side and said.

"To drive it and be even scarier than I am, that's absolutely obvious."

He stared at the girl for a moment, wondering what she meant. He wasn't ready to meet these kids. Anoneone on Etheria wasn't.

"The probability of being attacked by a cat girl in a tank is small, but never zero. " Dragonkin muttered, and then looked at the rubble. "There was only a false wall there, it was probably movable. Someone must have been search here. I don't know if we'll find anything valuable here, this place was probably robbed of everything valuable a long time ago." he said sadly. Eti snorted

"You just don't feel like kicking and you're looking for an excuse, drakey." she said, and Itel added.

"It wouldn't hurt to check... Does grandpa know anything about this place, or will he be as useless as our fairy ladies?"

Mikach almost choked, not out of outrage. Even when she was a teacher in Mystacor no one would dare call her useless, and said.

"It was the border of scorpion country. It would be difficult to know the truth now..."

"Maybe when Mrs. Scorpia comes back with Mrs. Perfuma, we will ask them?" Lilka asked.

"Do you know Princess Scorpia and Perfuma?" Mikach asked, surprised.

Yeah, we met Sting and Vegie on Icarus . There was also a Blondie who grows and turns into a BLONDE, but Captain Wingy attacked her and wanted to kill her along with half the town. I don't know what happened to her, but it's a real shame because they were both so cool." Eti explained to him. It took him a long time to decipher the words

"Captain Wingy?" asked the former king-consort. His face showed both hope and fear. Rosie nodded and said.

"That's how Eti calls Captain Moonshadow. She's the kind of pirate who's been with us since we left Saltmarsh, that dusty planet, whatever. She's a bit scary and if you serve the Azlanti she'll kill you cruelly, but she's not that bad. She helped us in this monastery and was quite nice to us. She said I reminded her of her daughter, whom she lost a long time ago and she had a husband, but she also lost him."

Pain appeared in Mikah's eyes. Barely holding back his tears, he asked.

"And… how that Moonshadow looked like." when he saw Itel's suspicious look, he added." I've never seen a space pirate and I'm curious what she looks like." he explained, smiling weakly. Rosie nodded in understanding, though the others seemed unconvinced , and began to explain to him.

"She is very tall and has pink-purple hair and these strange translucent wings, but they were probably damaged and now she has to cybernetically support them. She also lost her right arm and has a cybernetic limb instead. And he wears a mask made of this crystal, although I'm not sure if he's hiding some terrible scars under it or if he just thinks it looks cool. And she's a Solarian like Itel, only she summons a flare instead of a blade." she explained, and Itel bit her lip in irritation. Mikah looked shocked and terrified, which didn't go unnoticed by the green-haired Elf, who began to look at him with even greater distrust.

"And what happened to her? Why did she fight Adora?" Rosie asked, clearly confused.

"I'm not sure, Adora called her Angela and Queen, but I don't know why. Moonshadow got mad at her and they started fighting... She wanted to take her to the ship to the Gardens of the Long Death because she claimed that Adora had taken her sword, but she claimed that it was broken. Adora isn't one to lie like that, but she wanted to imprison her anyway... These gardens... I don't know what they are, but they're scary. There he locks up the captured Azlanti officers and this terrifies them."

Mikah stepped back and wiped his forehead. He tried to sort out what he had learned, but it wasn't easy... She knew something about it herself. Well, his peaceful days on Etheria are over. Though considering he was here and not in Brightmoon , the old demons were still chasing him... Even the ones he thought had abandoned him forever.

"Are you okay?' Rosie asked with concern in her voice and approached Mikah . Eti stood next to him and looked at him.

"I'm fine..." the former king-consort shook his head. And he smiled friendly, trying to hide how much their story shocked him." Your story just seemed so scary and all. These pirates and Azlanti... You don't see such things here." he explained , and Rosie nodded understandingly, but Itel quietly snorted with contempt and then turned to everyone.

"Maybe instead of talking about bullshit, we should start digging up these ruins? And you, Grandpasince you've already listened to an interesting story, maybe you'll do some hermit things and go away."

"No... I'll help you... I know a little about the remains of the First Ones." her former student replied and she added.

"Ireanis and I will also help."

Itel clenched her jaw angrily, but she didn't say anything and just got to work.

She was ashamed to admit that her physical condition left much to be desired. Due to the fact that she was an elf , or Saihe as they called they here , she was biologically at least ten years younger than Mikah, but he worked at least twice as efficiently. What a blow to her perfectionist soul . Even Ireanis was more useful because she used magic to lift stones. She also looked at Mikah with interest, but it didn't refer to their earlier conversation. As she stood aside to stretch her back a bit, Itel came up to her and spoke sharply in a low voice.

"Watch out for this guy, you're supposed to keep an eye on him. I don't like him even more than you do. I suspect it's some Azlanti corsair who's been hiding out for the last five years."

She blinked twice at the girl's theory.

"And on what basis did you draw this conclusion?" she asked, hiding her amusement. The Solarian rolled her eyes as if she had to explain something obvious and began to explain.

"Did you see how scared he looked when that deaf girl talked about Captain Moonshadow? He's afraid of her! And besides, he doesn't talk like a forest grandfather. You are an elf and you certainly won't side with such a speciesist

"I'll keep an eye on him, but this 'Deaf Girl's" name is Rosie." she said, staring at the Elf, who clenched her fists angrily

"What do you mean?" she growled

"Rejection is painful, I have seen with my own eyes what things those affected by it can do."

Itel looked at her feet and asked.

"Will it ever stop hurting?"

" I'm not an expert in this type of matters, but I can tell you one thing. The pain will ease as you allow this wound to heal."

Itel smiled sourly

W"as this the advice you gave to Lady Cala?

"Lady Cala is not someone who needs advice on this type of thing."

The elf waved her hand and went back to work.

At the end of the work, when the passage to the interior of the ruins was almost visible, she and Mikah took a break, taking advantage of the opportunity that her charges were busy discussing what they should do. they moved aside so that they would not be heard.

"What does it mean? What happened to Angela ? Why did she want to kill Adora ? Is this your doing?" asked her former student, barely containing his outburst of fury

She sighed. It shouldn't surprise her that no one trusts her and that everyone blames her for their misfortunes. She tried very hard to make it happen. Still, against her better judgment, it hurt her. "Now I know how you felt, Catra, when everyone, except Adora of course , blamed you."

"I already told you that I don't know much, and don't attribute other people's faults to me, I have more than enough of my own sins." she said slowly and Mikah looked at her judgmentally and said.

"Indeed, more than enough."

She ignored the insult and continued explaining.

"It seems to me that she has lost most of her memory, and what is left is distorted in some way. Anyway, she didn't recognize me or Eti..."

"Why would she recognize her?" Mikach interrupted her. – She's not from Etheri, how could she know her?

She smiled and said.

"You'll understand as soon as you see her. Just don't stare at her. Then he gets angry."

"What do you mean by Gets angry?" he asked, looking at her suspiciously.

"She burned down the Bone Haven yesterday because some customers were staring at her. She can be unpredictable, but she's a good, hurt girl." she explained to her former student, who smiled crookedly and said in an accusatory tone...

"Just like Catra."

"Yes, just like Catra."

It was downright painful to be around this vile woman and pretend they didn't know each other, smiling and being gently and polite. Only with the greatest effort of will did he manage to control his fury. He only did it for Angela's sake. If there was even the slightest chance that he could get her back, that they would be together again, he was willing to make almost any sacrifice.

It didn't help that she was now back to the face she had when she was still a Light Spinner. The sight of his former teacher, who was closer to him than his birth mother, whom he lost in childhood, unnerved him. He wasn't sure if it was out of vanity or shame that she chose to hide her true nature, but it made him despise her even more. She seemed more composed and nicer than he remembered her, but he knew very well that she could be very polite, even charming, when it was in her best interest. Glimmer learned this very well, too.

He couldn't understand what kind of madman had allowed her to take care of kids again. Oddly enough, these young people didn't seem intimidated by the dark sorceress. In fact, with the exception of that deaf girl, Rosie, they didn't hold her in high esteem, and this Saihe named Itel treated her with downright contempt. This didn't match the image of Shadow Weaver that Catra, Adora, and Scorpia painted before him. And the one he remembered: "It 's all a game, a pretense intended to deceive others. Manipulate them into doing what she wanted them to do. I won't be fooled again."

Finally, they managed to clear the passage and saw a wide corridor made of blue crystal. A shiver ran through him.

"I don't know if you should explore these ruins. The other were very dangerous and had dark motives." he warned his young companions.

"Wow, they were almost like me. Almost, because there is no creature more dangerous than me, although on this planet they don't know it yet. But its only matter of time." Eti said, but Rosie frowned and asked.

"But we met Adora . She was very nice." she looked at him expectantly. He sighed and explained.

"Adora was raised in the Fright Zone and knows nothing about her people, we all know very little about the First Ones, apart from the fact that their technology was extremely advanced... There were only three people who might have known anything more about them, but two of them they are dead, and the last one is quite difficult to communicate with. And that's good, maybe it's better if everything they left behind is forgotten."

Rosie thought for a moment and said.

"The First ones department on Kemanis University and the entire Anacite species would disagree with you."

He blinked in surprise and asked

"So you know about the First Ones?"

The girl nodded and wanted to say something, but Itel interrupted her.

"Don't waste your time on pointless chats. Let's go!"

The corridor was wide, but quite low, so Shadow Weaver and Alatar had to hunch over. They could only walk comfortably in pairs. Eti and Rosie led the way, followed by Itel and Lilka, then Ireanis and Alatar, and he had to go last with Shadow Weaver. He had the impression that he, Itel, and Alatar were equally dissatisfied with their couple. It was dim here, as the walls emanated with a faint glow. They were covered with numerous inscriptions in the language of the First Ones, which the red-haired girl meticulously wrote down. It was amazingly clean here. He heard from Adora that her people's structures were capable of self-cleaning and self-repairing . It must have been similar here, which meant that the building was functioning. This means that the defense systems were most likely also active. They had to be careful.

Walking side by side next to Shadow Weaver was not a pleasant experience. He tried to ignore her, but it was hard, even if she didn't speak to him or look his way. He sensed its dark power even without using his magical senses. He could actually feel the bittersweet taste of darkness on his tongue, flowing from the dark sorceress's soul. Perhaps it was just the power of suggestion... Or maybe it was because he was forced to use dark magic while he was chipped . He had almost forgotten about it, but he was aware that the taint of the dark art could never be eradicated, even if one was forced to use it. This was the epitome of Horde Prime's perfidy . Now perhaps there was simply an affinity between them, as perhaps among all who had been tainted by a dark power. The thought of having anything to do with someone so vile made him feel sick.

"In front of us is a large room with a closed door." Eti exclaimed.

Sure enough, they finally found themselves in a huge chamber with a tall, pulsating pillar in the center. There were many more inscriptions, they covered the entire walls with a dense web. There was also a stained glass window, like all the art of the First Ones, beautiful in its simplicity. It depicted two women. One of them was a warrior whom he recognized as She-Ra, probably Mara, and the other was a tall woman in robes. He guessed who she was. Light Hope. They touched each other with their fingertips , from which light flowed, which twisted in a spiral and finally merged, transforming into another figure, a petite girl emanating her own glow.

"This one is probably a BLONDE, but different one and the other one is probably her girlfriend. And the third one is probably their child or something." Eti said, and Rosie added, smiling with delight.

"I think they look very romantic, don't you think?"

Itel scowled at her and said.

"We didn't come here to see beautiful views. Grandpa, do you know what this is about?"

He thought for a moment about what answer he should give them and finally said it.

"You're right Eti, this is the previous She-Ra. Her name was Mara and she was a great heroine. The other one is Light Hope. She was the artificial intelligence who oversaw the planetary facility."

Rosie tilted her head to the side and stated.

"If they loved each other, it's offensive to call her artificial intelligence. It should be called digital consciousness... I wonder how they did it, you know, child? I've read about similar couples and..." she didn't finish because itel silenced her with a wave of her hand.

"Where can I find this Light Hope ? I have to talk to her!" Saihe will shout . He shook his head sadly

"Unfortunately... or fortunately, this is no longer possible."

The elf wanted to lash out him, but Eti said yes.

"Maybe there's something cool inside. Lilka, Alatar, take out the… archaeological tools and I will listen to what is on the other side." she was near them in one bound and took out her stethoscope. During this time, Alatar will take out a pickaxe from his backpack and Lilka will take out a blowtorch.

"What are you going to do about it?" he shouted, but Eti signaled him to be quiet and uncovered her face. He inhaled sharply, but refrained from exclaiming astonishment. The girl who was kneeling by the door looked like Catra... No... They were different from each other. She had sharper facial features and straight, dark red hair, and her eyes were gold with many blue spots. They were like... sisters.

He looked away, remembering Shadow Weaver's warning. Now he understood the dark sorceress's comment about Angela not recognizing Eti. His wife had never faced Catra, but she knew what she looked like. Neither Eti nor Shadow Weaver made her remember anything. She only recognized Adora ... Why?

And then Rosie touched the pillar and bright lights flashed.

Rosie was glad that they were able to find new friends even in such a remote place, especially after the unfortunate events in the desert. Mikah was like one of those great sages of the forest who seek out heroes before a great mission and share enigmatic advice with him. Only Mikch wasn't enough... crazy and inscrutable. In fact, he seemed like some mystical fallen order knight hiding in exile. Only the people of Etheria didn't look like they would banish others, maybe this Tung Lashor looked like one, but he wasn't from Etheria, and he was a fool.

Itel didn't trust Mikah , but she didn't trust anyone. But he looked wise, and as she looked at him, she hoped he might be able to explain to her what was happening to her. Rosie had felt a bit like she had been in a dream since she entered those dungeons. As she looked at the writings on the walls, they seemed familiar. As if she had seen them before but had no idea what they meant. They were different from the ones she remembered, as if they were two different, yet related languages. She had the impression that their meaning was inaccessible to her, as if the very attempt to understand them was beyond her reach, something forbidden by nature itself.

And then there was the buzzing. She could sense loud sounds because they made the air vibrate, but there was something else. It existed in her head. It was almost like music, or at least as she imagined it. It was surprisingly pleasant, and it gladdened her heart. But somehow it lulled her to sleep, made her feel almost drugged. This place also seemed familiar, as if she had read and seen about them in books or other sources before. She felt as if she had arrived at her grandparents' house, which her parents had told her about.

And then she stood at the pillar. As she approached the pillar, the buzzing became stronger, Itel was curious about this Light Hope , because she seemed to want to learn more about Etheri from her, but she was more interested in the third figure. She was curious who she was, even Mikah didn't seem to recognize her. Driven by a sudden impulse, she touched a fragment of a painting depicting a child. And then the lights flashed.

"What have you did, you stupid! - Itel jumped at her with fury on her face.

"I don't know... I just touched this pillar... I didn't want to do anything." she said to the elf, asking her for forgiveness with her eyes, but she looked as if she wanted to scream or maybe even hit her, but Eti silenced her with her eyes. And then a blue, translucent figure appeared among them. She looked like a girl about her age, with short hair tied in a bun. She wore formal, if rather old-fashioned, attire, looking like a combination of a scientist's uniform and priest's robes. She smiled at them in a friendly manner, with shy curiosity.

"Hello, how can I serve?" she asked.

"GHOST!" Ireanis shouted. "Away, you impure force!" she cast a spell that looked like shimmering silver dust. The translucent person laughed and said.

"Ghosts don't exist and even if there were, they wouldn't be me. I am Heart Gift, a Planetary Archive, I use the pronouns she, her. I am... I AM." she said, looking at her hand in amazement. Suddenly she started disappearing and reappearing in different places, shouting joyfully, "I am!" She finally appeared in the center of the room in a summer dress with longer flowing hair.

"I am! Isn't it wonderful!" She whirled happily. Rosie smiled at her friendly and said.

"Hello Heart Gift . It's good that you enjoy your existence. I'm Rosie Pearl and these are my friends. – she pointed to the others who introduced themselves, except for Itel, who crossed her arms over her chest, looking at their guest, or rather host, with a fierce expression. Miss Daisy and Mikah eyed Heart Gift as if she were a dangerous beast, but quietly introduced themselves to her.

"Hello. You are in one of my many terminals. My duty was to archive the data collected by Light Hope and Mara. Actually, we talked a lot. They told me about many things. They adventures and research…."

Rosie looked at the image on the pillar and beamed.

"You are that child. Mara and Light Hope are your moms!" she said happily, and Heart Gift teleported to her.

"My moms?" she asked in surprise, thought and then clapped happily. "Yes! They are my mothers." Miniature fireworks began to go off around Heart Gift . "It's so wonderful! I never thought of them that way, but it must be true. Do you think they know about it? Oh, of course they know that, I'm so silly sometimes. They simply didn't tell me about it because they waited for me to figure it out on my own. Until I'm mature enough to understand it! I need to tell them about this." She looked around and teleported around the room again, this time calling out " Light Hope!" She finally stopped and frowned. "She can't hear me... She probably went to sleep... I used to sleep for a long time, but I just woke up recently. I haven't seen Mara for a long time either... She must be on some distant journey... But she'll be back soon. And then the three of us will celebrate Mother's and Children's Day together. This will be so wonderful!" Heart Gift turned into three rainbow streaks of light. Dancing in a spiral. No one shared her joy. Everyone watched her with sadness and confusion. She could see pain in Mikah's eyes. At first she didn't understand what they were worrying about, until she remembered that Bina was looking for Mara's Tomb, and the old man was talking about Light Hope in the past tense, as if she... Oh no... Now tears came to Rosie's eyes. She was glad that her eyes weren't visible through her glasses, but even so, when Heart Gift turned away from her, she discreetly rubbed her eyes. She felt so much sadness, but she didn't have the courage to tell Heart Gift the truth. She felt ashamed about it. The digital consciousness stopped and looked at her, then clutched her face as if she had just remembered something.

"Oh my matrix, I think I completely forgot about you. What a host I am!" she laughed shyly and asked. "How can I help you? Do you have any questions for me? I'm sure I can answer them. I have access to all the knowledge stored in my archive, which means I practically know what my Mother knew... Light Hope."

"What is Etheria's greatest treasure?" Itel asked suddenly, although Miss Daisy glared at her. Heart Gift appeared right in front of the Elf and said.

"It's the Heart of Etheria, of course. One of the greatest projects carried out by the First Ones, right next to the Will of Unity, Blood of Xadia and Shroud Projects." she explained. "Although I have only sketchy information about the others.

"So tell me about it, Heart..." Itel asked, not paying attention to Mikah, who was telling her to be silent.

"Oh, I can tell you about it…" she started rubbing the dirt under her embarrassment. "I'd just have to ask for permission my mom Light Hope. I'll look for her and..."

"There is no need." Miss Daisy said, ignoring the angry look the Solarian woman gave her. "We have to go back now. It was very nice to meet you, Heart Gift. "The woman smiled at the digital consciousness. Heart Gift looked at them with sudden fear."

"But... Will you visit me again? I've been lonely for a very long time and I don't want that to happen again... Please."

Miss Daisy looked at Heart Gift as if she was wondering about something, and then asked.

"Could you show us a map of your terminals?"

Heart Gift nodded and waved her hand, and a map of Etheri appeared with terminals marked on it. When Alatar touched it, it turned out to be fully interactive and Dragonkin could see all the points. At this time, Heart Gift appeared in front of Eti.

"You know, I think I saw someone like you recently."

"You must have Imagined it. There is no one like me."

She learned some new things, and they weren't exactly uplifting things. She didn't know Light Hope, and that was good, because everything would have ended much worse for everyone, literally everyone. Now it turned out that she and Mara had a child, that AI the Heart Gift, there was no doubt about it... Only Etheria was transformed to the core into one great experiment, a device on a planetary scale. It is unknown what other secrets of her home world the Light Hope child had access to. She seemed to be more spontaneous than her mother, more emotional, at least as far as she could tell from the few words Adora had said that she had managed to overhear. What powers could this creature have? Even if she didn't have access to all of Light Hope's capabilities, as a planetary archive it had access to knowledge that in the hands of someone nefarious could lead to disaster, and her true ward was most likely the nefarious person on the planet.

Xadia was also mentioned. She first heard it from the mouth of Aaravos , a mysterious sorcerer she met in the mirror, the same one Castaspella found. She had already sensed the darkness emanating from him, and that was why she didn't trust him. She refused to perform a ritual that would keep them in constant contact, but that didn't stop her from listening to him and becoming interested in the ritual that turned her into the creature that ruined the lives of so many. Now she wondered if her own darkness had surpassed that of this creature. Once, after she had settled on Carurystal, she tried to find out what species the creature belonged to, but it was completely unknown in the Galaxy. Aaravos seemed to be connected to the First Ones, and she was now almost certain that he was a servant of the Creeping Chaos

Once they were outside, her charges, it was disturbing how quickly she started calling them that in her mind, they started climbing the mountain, though Itel was still furious with her, she stopped to talk to Mikah again. As soon as the young crew members were far enough away, her former apprentice growled at her.

"You missed tormenting Catra so much that you had to find another victim?!"

"I wonder what you would say if you saw Lady Cali?" she thought and said.

"I never hurt Eti, I even saved her life twice, although I know she suffered a lot. However, I am not responsible for this..."

"Who is she anyway?! Why is she so like her?" exclaimed the former king-consort. He was still furious, he probably didn't believe her. He had the right to do so.

"I know it was created almost six years ago by a man named Jantar on a Planet called Atrax. He also created Catra twenty-three years ago. There's much more I can't tell you. "she explained, looking her former student straight in the eyes. Mikah looked surprised, but not as surprised as she might have expected.

"Catra seems to be starting to get suspicious. Lately she keeps checking old cadet documents…. Did you know about it? he looked at her sharply. She shook her head.

"I never suspected anything. I have always been too overconfident to question my own judgments…"

He nodded and said.

"You've always been arrogant, even as a Light Spinner ... What exactly do you want from me, apart from telling me about the tragedy that happened to my wife and insulting all those you hurt just by being alive?" Mikah's voice was as sharp as Veska's executioner's axe

"First of all, I want to meet with you and some of my other allies during the Victory Day celebrations to discuss some pressing issues." she sighed and continued. "The galaxy is vast and full of threats that are reaching out to Etheria in their clutches. One of them is the Azlanti Star Empire. The same one that hurt Angela so much that she became Captain Moonshadow. It is a powerful empire that believes in the supremacy of the human species, your species. Everyone else, called Inhumans, are second-class citizens at best, only if they put up resistance, of course. If the Azlanti came here, Scorpia, Catra, all my people, would be deprived of most of their rights, and your daughter, as a hideous half-breed, will be lucky to spare alive. And Azlanti is nearby. That's why I'm asking you to talk discreetly with my other allies and keep the knowledge that I live for youself, at least for a few days"- she explained, trying to sound as sincere as possible.

Mikah thought for a moment, then laughed with heartbreaking bitterness.

"You know, everything that happened to my wife should happen to you. Angela… someone like you can't understand what a wonderful person she was. She personified nobility, integrity and goodness. Do you know that before she sacrificed herself, she told Adora that she was a coward? But the biggest coward has always been you. You did everything just to survive. Sacrifice everyone and everything." as he spoke, contempt burned in his eyes. She did not protest against the former student's accusations, because he was right. "I will do what you ask me, but only because today I also turned out to be a coward, because I did not have the courage to say Hear Gift about her mothers death."
