(Just as a warning I will put in youtube links in this as a soundtrack for certain fights that happen, in case you wanted some battle music.)
"They should let you in anyway!" Izuku feels dejected after his embarrassing 1 point in the physical exams, and his sister, Izumi (12, near 13), was hearing it from him. Boy, she was not happy about this news.He knew why she was this upset, for she was born quirkless as well. So when he had been diagnosed with being a late bloomer, she had somewhat unknowingly pushed her similar dreams of being a great hero onto Izuku. Despite being younger than him, she was only about 2" shorter. She had the same emerald hair as him but with a lock of white hair. "By self grading, I know I only just passed the written exam, but with that big fat 1 point I-" she cut him off. "You saved that girl, though. That has to get you some credit, at least I mean, it is a hero course for crying out loud. You helped someone who could have gotten hurt!" She had a point there, but what could he do about the results.
Elsewhere inside of the UA principals office, Nezu was talking to a parcular being while showing the last minute of the 0 point robot's recording before being destroyed.
"What about this recording makes you so interested, old friend?" Nezu inquired.
On the opposite side of the desk was a particular yokai, a bipedal horned 3 eyed goat wearing specs that did not particularly help with any of his eyesight and a light blue samurai formal robes with a light blue hagaromo.
"Just play the tape again slowed down, Nezu." The old goat bleated out. Nezu sighs and plays it again at 10% speed this time. Once again, it shows the boy launching himself between buildings to gain height and right before he had launched the first blast. The goat had paused it.
"Do you see it now, Nezu?" Nezu squinted at the image of the boy and noticed his eyes were shining a benevolent blue, contrasting his normally emerald eyes. "His eyes?"
"Yes, you fool, those eyes are of Nigitama, and that blasts element can not be generated by a human despite the existence of quirks." he added further. "That power has not been witnessed by me or almost anyone for that matter since a little after the beginning of the Edo period!"
"That is a lot of explaining, but the point has yet to be made, Hakutaku." Nezu said, annoyed. "My point is that boy should be admitted to this academy, not only for his heroism, but for his true potential as well." Nezu sighed and spoke."Those hero points he got for his heroism would have been enough to get him in even without your suggestion, but I guess we should also keep an eye on him as well." Hakutaku smirked. "That is all I ask, Nezu." And after a few seconds of silence, Hakutaku disappeared.
The letter had finally arrived, and Izuku was amazed. He was actually put in because of his heroic act, and Izumi could not be happier for him as well, as well as his brothers and his mother, his father was not there, he was not around often other than those 7 months for his training. It was the longest he stuck around. In fact, he had not seen him since Baku had been given to him. Izuku regretted not talking to Katsuki for almost the entire 10 months he was training. However, they would no doubt meet again when he would get to start his tuition at UA.
Sometime in April
Katsuki was arguing with some side character for putting his feet up on the desk. What a stick in the mud he was. But then he saw Deku enter the room. He still hadn't answered his question of what the hell he has been doing for the entirety of last year, but as he thought about it, he hoped that he had at least some modicum of control over that terrifying power. He will never forget the Red Eyes
As the homeroom teacher revealed himself (outside of the classroom, strangely enough.) They had to go outside to do some physical activities. He was handed a ball and threw it with all of his might and his quirk. Over 750 meters. A pat on the back was well earned.
Izuku was not doing great, but not bad, just fine on these activities. His powers did almost nothing for just cardio, that is, until they got back to the ball throw. He stood there planning to get an actually good score, with his increased bodily strength would just being good. But good is not good enough for their homeroom teacher as he would be expelled for just being slightly better than average.
He then thought back to the entrance exam and thought about the dark blasts he created. As he did, he felt the dark energy slowly creeping back into his arm, but he would surely be exhausted after something like this. But then he put the energy into the ball, and power started flowing into it as he realized this would be far less energy than creating a blast to launch it. He steadied himself and threw it...
Aizawa had paid attention to the recordings, and the kid's quirk had exhausted him after 2 measly blasts with that energy. He was ready to erase his quirk and give him a life lesson when the kid had actually thrown it with his full might. He could have sworn he used his quirk to erase his... He is not a mutant, at least not obviously. After the windprircing soundbreaking throw, he read the distance, confused, "956.8 meters," he said out loud. He had just realized that the kid's eyes were fading from an ethereal blue surrounding a white pupil to his normal emerald eyes, his pupil returning to a proper black, and actually having the whites of his eyes outside of the green. He saw it for a split second.
Izuku was impressed by the throw and took far less energy than he thought. Maybe this quick thinking would help him in the long run. He had shuffled his way back in line where Bakugo was staring at him, impressed but concerned. Now, he was back at getting average scores.
He was sure to be expelled for getting into last place. However, he would be spared from this fate as Aizawa revealed it was a ruse to get everyone to try their hardest, as they were going back to their classes. Aizawa had whispered to him, "You have an interesting quirk. As long as you show potential, you can stay in the class."
Toshinori and Nezu were watching the full thing unfold. The deflated hero said, "That Midoriya kid has got heart and potential, just what can he do tomorrow with the combat practice?" The dubious creature that was named Nezu said, "Hakutaku had an interest in having that kid be around for the time being. I have never seen him so invested in any of our students before." Nezu continued. "In any case, we should be making sure that this entire class has many opportunities to impress, especially with only 17 students."
Bakugo was walking with Midoria after the classes were over, building up to ask him what the hell that power was. It was similar to what he witnessed 11 years ago, but it was also different. When he almost asked, the overly tall nerd Iida had shown up to apparently apologize to him about something. When the 3 of them were about to get moving, the gravity girl showed up. Great, let's just have the entire class show up
and have a post work chat instead of doing anything else. They finally got moving after a second introduction for the day. He found it amusing that the girl uses his ironic nickname for Deku to the annoyance of. Iida.
"I AM HERE TO WALK THROUGH THE DOOR LIKE A NORMAL PERSON!!!" All Might had crashed through the door unlike a normal person.
Midoriya was highly delighted to see that the message about him working at UA was, in fact, true. As they were told, they would engage in some combat training they were sent to get their hero outfits.
Midoriya walked out of the locker room with a unique look to the other students. Since the government had no idea what his "quirk" warranted, they saw that his file had specific mention of training in Japanese weaponry and gave him a samurai inspired look. The black lacquered armored plates were on the suit tightened with dark straps of leather. the cloth on the inside of the plates was dyed a dark green along with the uneven waistcoat. his right hand had a fingerless glove with a kote plate attached. He had black boots that had opened down the middle on his shin to above his foot and had a Do plate on the opening. The armor was fairly heavy but not enough to be imperative to his speed. Had no helmet for some reason.
(The armor looks like a green and black variation of the Hero's armor without the cape with a recolored Youngblood boots from Nioh)
Uraraka was complimenting Midoria's cool design when All Might had gotten everyone's attention to explain the rules of the training exercises.
(Exept for 2 teams they are exactly the same as cannon. Team A is Iida and Uraraka, and Team D was Midoriya and Bakugo)
"FOR THE FIRST TEAMS TO GO IS... TEAM A FOR HEROS, AND TEAM D FOR VILLANS!!!"
Midoriya and Bakugo were preparing the bomb location with their 5-minute head start, and the greenet had started to spout strategies. All Bakugo needed to hear was that he would be sent out to fight while Deku stayed with the bomb.
Iida and Uraraka had split up and Iida got ambushed by Bakugo, slowing down the pace of the search of the bomb dramatically, when there were 7 minutes left Uraraka found the bomb room with Midoriya in it, meditating.
Uraraka started to walk into the room when she realized that there was nothing in the room. Then Izuku's voice ran out. "So you have found the bomb, but still need to defeat me." He stood up in a martial arts stance.
(/watch?v=MgvaEp3KZL8)
"Then come fight me!" Midoriya shouted. wrapping himself with dark energy. Keeping his fists clenched, his eyes glowed the ethereal blue.
Uraraka had made a b-line towards the bomb using her quirk to levitate when a dark bolt flew next to her, barely missing. She temporarily lost her breath when she almost got hit, lowering her enough to get kicked in the chest. She landed near the doorway, and she noticed as she was getting up a small crater in the wall with a pebble lodged inside it. It was the same direction the bolt had gone. She suddenly had an idea.
She had ran towards the pillars in the room near the bomb and sure enough Deku had gathered the dark energy into his arm and smashed through the pillar leaving concrete and rebar around the place, she had grabbed and lightend a large piece of rebar with a considerable amount of rebar and had swung it around like a club. After a few missed swings, Deku had disarmed her and was swinging back when she had released the weight of it. As the 40 pounds returned, the swing had gone directly to the floor when suddenly a large explosion ruptured up from 2 floors below. Uraraka had maneuvered to a different pillar, too, and it broke off. While holding it, she had swung the pillar like a massive bat while it was weightless, sending a barrage of concrete to Deku, distracting him. She had flown towards the bomb, but when she was halfway there, a pulse of dark energy blaste her, knocking the wind out of her and sending her out the window.
She was falling 5 floors and, in a quick reaction, had used her quirk just in time to not hit the pavement below. She then released and threw up a rainbow. The dark energy had drained her of her stamina, leaving her immobilized. Over the Intercomms All Might had shouted, "VILLAN TEAM WINS!!!"
Their fight was looked at closely. Through the fight, it was obvious the dark energy in Izuku was building up constantly, when Uraraka had jumped to the bomb, he had panicked and released it all at once as a pulse in every direction. Meanwhile the fight between Iida and Bakugo was intense, Bakugo using his burst explosions to outmanuver Iida in close quarters along with his attack potency, however Iida was getting closer and closer to the stairwell near the bomb so Bakugo in a desperate attempt to gatekeep it had used one of his charged explosions. "Dodge this, you hardass!" However, Iida had pushed his arm upwards, destroying the ground of 3 floors above them while on the 3rd floor.
Uraraka and Midoriya were admitted to the nurses office while the rest of the class replayed the entire exercise while moving on. No one but Bakugo and the resident edgelord Tokoyami noticed that right before Midoriya's Dark Pulse, his eyes changed, the eyes became a malevolent red, with the white pupil became as dark as an abyss. Tokoyami did not know what it meant, but Bakugo did, and it terrified him that it almost happened again. He did not want or need to see his friend remind him of that day. The occasional nightmare regarding it was more than enough.
Everyone had wrapped up and went home, and Izuku did the same. When he woke up at 10 PM, he went back home. Izumi welcomed him warmly and let him go to sleep.
That night, Izuku had a terrible nightmare. It was in the 3rd person. He was staring at a silhouette of himself, but he was different. He was wielding a bloody uchigatana surrounded by death. Bodies of both unknown villans and a few people he knew. Specifically the his peers. The demonic version of him slightly turned to where he could see that terrible Red Eye. And he said to him would haunt him for the foreseeable future.
